"HIDE YOUR DIRTY LIL' IMPERFECTIONS!" COSMINOLOGY ASTROKONCEALER
MissRo here to tell you to get rid of your foundation, because all you need is the Cosminology Kharmic Khameleon, AstroKoncealer to "hide your dirty lil' imperfections".
I am not the biggest fan of foundation on an everyday basis. I realize that everyone has different skin issues and might need heavier coverage. I prefer just concealer and a dusting of a foundation/powder with a brush all over. The way that I apply my concealer goes like this - on the sides of my nose, between my bottom lip and chin, just above my eyebrows in the middle of my forehead, on my eyelids (for an eyeshadow base), and the lower/inner corner of my eyes. I blend all that in, put on my eye makeup, curl my lashes, throw on my powder, then finish with blush, mascara, fill in the brows, throw on a gloss, and I'm good to go!
One of the things that drives me crazy about many concealers is that they are SO thick. And then it's no wonder they crease so easily and you spend the day constantly wiping your under eye to smooth out the makeup. I don't really have a preference whether it's a sponge tip, lipstick-style, or a little pot, I just care about the formulation.
When I received the Cosminology products I got such a kick out of the names, which I wrote about in my post about the company. Then it was time to try them. I tried a bit of the skin care and so far, so good. I really like it. So, this morning it was time to try the concealer.
I am wearing the concealer in AstroShore. I was going to go a bit lighter and try AstroSand, but I'm still a bit tanned from the Summer, so went a shade darker. The product comes in a sponge tip applicator and glides on like silk. It blends beautifully and pretty much stays put for the whole day.
Now, you must be wondering why I say to get rid of your foundation? Well, that's because if you use this concealer in all the places that need coverage and put some powder on top, you achieve that same look without caking on the foundation. Don't get me wrong, I love all makeup and I'm not saying you shouldn't use foundation, but for everyday I don't think it's necessary.

Wow this would be a nice foundation to have since its small and to carry it on my purse and its nice that it would correct my imperfetctions...
I am a foundation and concealer kind of gal. I have uneven skin tone and so I just *feel* better with foundation. I am into MAC again (after leaving them for a 2 years of going to Sephora only) and currently my fave foundation is the Studio Fix powder foundation and my all time fave concealer is the MAC Studio Finish concealer because it hids my dark circles. I use a brush and "paint" it on and finish by brushing powder over it to "set" it I find this is the only way to blend it and make it more natural looking. This product has intrigued me to sway away from my beloved MAC, and maybe I will try it out. I am always on the lookout for products I can at least try so in case I stumble upon some miracle better than holy grail product (I'm sure they exist!!)
kilikena, I totally agree. I use both foundation and concealer, because I have an uneven skin tone as well (mostly from pigmented acne scars) and dark undereye circles. I'm still working on finding the best products for my skin. I like Korres watermelon foundation SPF 30, although it can be tricky to apply it evenly, and I like Revlon colorstay blemish concealer for my blemishes, but I have yet to find a good undereye concealer. I'm currently using NYX concealer in a jar, but it creases.

Sounds like a winner Miss Ro and the packaging is perfect! I hate when you need to carry along a brush or revert to sticking your finger in a pan of goo to touch up.Checking it out you beautiful enabling-beotch you!!!:)
Oh this sounds lovely! I generally only apply my make-up to the spots I need it - my chin, nose, cheeks and forehead [basically the t-zone] and add powder over the top. My skin is oily at the best of times, so the less I put on my skin the happier it is. This sounds like a lovely product, thanks for the review! : ]
another one 2 add on to my want list : )
I haven't had luck with liquid concealers, the ones I got were always think and orangey. Maybe I just wasn't picking the right products...But no I use Everyday Minerals concealers and love them. I use Abbott's as an under eye concealer. I think it is a mix of peach and yellow, so gives light peach (and yet not orange somehow...) It covers the bit of purple I have in the corner of my eyes and blue veins on my eyelid. Blends perfectly and I could even go without putting foundation over.I am also a recent Pick me up Pink convert. I dust it all over my face before foundation. This is magic, somehow pink evens out red! I also put a little extra on my acne scars and the vanish when foundation goes over top.
We're alike! I use a powder and a little concealer - mostly under the eyes. I use Sisley Eye Concealer and like it but I don't love it. It's way overpriced. The mineral powder covers other areas of my face better than most concealers. I usually just need something to cover a blemish, whenever I have them.
I want to try this concealer out! It sounds perfect.
I use a stick concealer from mark. It's ok but not perfect. Sometimes I feel like I have to cake it on there for any coverage. I also love my Pink Quartz Minerals. I would be lost without knowing that everything is "hiding" out for the day so I don't think I could use just a concealer. However I will put this on my want list as a "try me".
WHY cant i find the right concealer. i thought it was this mac concealer but i dont think i store it properly b/c it totally changed consistency and disrespected me when i put it on...

I have regular mu days, no mu days and sometimes like you I just do a little concealing and a quick dusting of EDM natural reflections powder.I have dark circles under my eyes, so this may be just what I need. We have to look into it some more.
I use foundation everyday, but I think this would be a great thing to have on hand for touch ups.
I totally agree that a full face of foundation isn't necessary for every single day. Funny that you mention that, because lately I've just been using foundation/concealer where I need it instead of all over and it looks fine. Probably lets your skin "breathe" a bit too! Lately I've just been using a more stronger formula of my foundation as a concealer; works great.
Ever since i started using everyday minerals foundation i now can't live without it, it covers my uneven skin tone and pore (lol how gross!). I only use concealer if the foundation cannot cover all my blemishes. but i definitely have to use to for my under eyes. I get ridiculous bags and dark circles :( (blame uni!)

I'm definitely a foundation and concealer girl. With EDM I just use the amount I want so I can keep it light or add more layers if needed.
Concealer is like my nemesis when it comes to makeup. No real clue as to why...maybe just trying all the wrong kinds. Concealers always look terrible on my skin...but I would be willing to give this a try and see how it goes ♥
"Never take someone for granted. Hold every person close to your heart because you might wake up one day and realize that you've lost a diamond while you were too busy collecting stones..."
Gotta love a good concealer! last one i found that i loved was discontinued... will have to track this one down! :)
All of the cosminology products just sound amazing - I think I've said this before but I really love unique names for beauty and makeup produts. I tend to use both foundation and concealer each day. I have quite dark eye circles and prominent red cheeks and it just looks a bit odd. So its more of a 'colour correct' as opposed to a conceal. But then I use foundation to make the colour correct not obvious. Thankfully with mineral foundation it doesn't look like I've piled on huge amounts of makeup, either! Phew :)
I have concealer but I rarely use it!I really should! I usually just brush over some mineral foundation. On really bad days ill conceal around my eyes, red patches and whatnot.I use only mineral makeup for the most part. But this sounds great. the less makeup you have to pile on my face the better! cause towards the end of the day you really start looking rough with all the layers!!IM glad you guys are reviewing this company it sounds kinda fun! plus they have minerals too!

You are so astute. I learn the concealer concept in modeling school one hundred years ago. Too many women shock me because all you see is their foundation, not their faces. There's a unique "lifting" concealer by Physician's Formula, but you're still a baby and don't need it.
I use both concealer and foundation, but generally I only use concealer on my very dark under eye circles, and then I just use a bit of foundation to even out my face. I use mineral makeup so its easier not to get the caked on look.
I am very much a foundation gal. But use concealer sometimes to, all EDM of course. So powder foundation and powder concealer. Mint for redness. Sunlight under eyes. Pearl beige to brighten around eyes. they are my favs... BUT I also have multi tasking, multi intensive, pearl mint (use for cheeks in summer under foundation), pick me up pink, lavendar, pick me up bisque, abbotts perk me up.. Lol that's all, I think haha
My favourite concealer at the moment is a two step thing. First, some sticky concealer from Bodyshop in their lightest shade (still too dark for me). Then, on top of that, some Intensive Fair Concealer from Everyday Minerals=perfect coverage. :)Sometimes of late, I've been known to go out with just a touch of concealer. But generally, my face is all too splotchy to look good without some foundation too.
I'm also a conceal and lightly dust with foundation gal. I use EDM to cover up some redness in my cheeks, monthly breakouts, and my undereye area. I only use foundation to even everything out in the end, but only a thin layer. Lately I have been so lazy though... it would be nice to have a nice, natural concealer that went on smooth and quickly so that I can get out the door for school looking decent.
i was never tough to do either of them! I really really need someone to teach me, because i have aweful skin!
i'm a mineral foundation girl. i rarely use concealers although i have 2 full sized EDM concealers. those will honestly last me my entire lifetime. i do want to try a cream concealer because i never have but i'm happy with just a light dusting of mineral foundation.

I wonder how well this product covers. I always have a couple breakout spots going on and I do not need people seeing those. I like how this lasts all day without caking up but I wonder if it has good coverage as well.I personally would love to leave my house without foundation but it's not going to happen. I wear a light dusting of foundation (right now: Meow Cosmetics Pampered Puss). It's actually very sheer so it doesn't cover much but I also use a green powder to combat redness on my cheeks and chin.
i don't use concealers but i need to start. i've been noticing the dark circles under the eye. not very pretty.
I am a full foundation daily girl. My skin is behaving horribly at the moment. But my foundation just isn't looking good to me. I think Bare Minerals is starting to betray me...I want to try EDM very badly. All the different color correctors that they have sound right up my alley. I'd love to be able to just conceal what I needed to and do a light dusting of a powder foundation to even it all out. I think it would make me look younger actually. Now I'd like to try this. All of the Official Meg Reviewers have such a way of selling the product and making me want whatever it is that you're reviewing. Great job.
I'm a foundation and a concealer type of girl..I think my skin is worse then probably most others see it, but I just feel better with foundation on, even just a light dusting of mineral foundation.
I'm mainly a foundation girl. If I need it, yellow powder concealer is used to conceal redness. Otherwise it's a nice buffing of loose mineral foundation. My skin has been less red lately, thank goodness, so I haven't needed much concealer.
I wear some kind of foundation every day, but use concealer only occasionally - when I have something to hide. However, after reading this review, I'm thinking maybe I need to reverse my approach. The concealer I use is BalmShelter, and it's fine - just doesn't make me jump up and down. But this Cosminology concealer sounds like a winner. Then maybe I could just hit a few spots with a light dusting of powder. Seems like that might be a nice, fresh-faced look.

I also rarely use a foundation, I just use my concealer and some powder on top.
I am a liquid foundation girl first, then I go over any imperfections that are still showing with a powder concealer lightly. I love the look that my liquid foundation gives me (natural yet more perfect then my freckled, broken capillary, uneven skin toned) and I don't feel like I am wearing anything. And it makes me feel more confident. I applaud you ladies that go out there with minimal coverage!
I typically just use mineral foundation, no concealer unless I'm going out. I just bought (haven't got it in the mail yet) EDM's mint concealer and I'm really excited to see what that might do for my blotchy redish face.

MAc studio fix is my fav concealer so far! I need great coverage and it just does the job :) awesome for those who have blemishes to hide
I am what I shop
I like using concealer more than foundation. I don't really know what kinds of concealer are the best though.
I like concealer.
I actually have alright skin, sometimes if i want a really polished look i'll use foundation, but on a day to day basis i just stick some concealer on problem areas.
