DIANA B. BATH GEL! A MEG FAVORITE!!

Meg here! I'm not alone anymore it is so great! I have two of the most fabulous co-workers now that are real life day-to-day life colleagues. Eleni and MissRo work with me tirelessly. On top of putting in days that go from 9am until (so not kidding) some nights midnight and yeah, some weekends-they're also supposed to keep me on my toes. I'm about as effective as Michael Scott. They are so on their A-Game constantly. I try to sneak stuff by...
If you ever have the pleasure of meeting our product/inventory/content directory/operations manager Eleni-you'll see within the first 5 minutes that NOTHING gets by her-NOTHING.
I get sent a lot of beauty products to try and I hate to buy when I don't have to. I reviewed Diana B. Bath Gel in Peach Frangipani years back and I got hooked. It smells so incredible to me. The lather is divine, I don't know what happened but I started to get the "Oh boy, you smell yummy-what are you wearing?" When I had no perfume on, just the linger from my Peach Frangipani bath gel.
I ran out of it and like an addict I started to buy it! I thought that I was being nuts. I get sent every bath gel in the world FOR FREE and I was buying a $30 bath gel.
Picture it, not St. Olaf but Bel-Air California. I was at a swanky fabulous super famous women's pahtay. I went to use her bathroom. Being the product whore I am, while on the twalay, I looked at her amazing view. There in the shower was my beloved Diana B. Peach Frangipani bath gel! It was cemented. I was right, I was worth it!
Cut to the office...
Meg: Eleni, can you request some peach bath gel from Diana B.?
Eleni: I don't like peach, why does that name sound familiar?
Meg: Oh, I think they have other scents....Umm, will you ask them for the bath gel please.
Eleni: No, I see in my notes we reviewed it a few years ago. You already did this product.
Meg: IT HAS BEEN TOO LONG! PUHLEEZE PUHLEEZE Ask them!!
At this point, Eleni will roll her eyes and send the email. See what happens when you have brilliant women helping you on your way?
There was a study done in England that women use TWO FULL YEARS of their life getting ready in their bathrooms. TWO YEARS!! A chunk of that time is spent in the shower. I don't know about you but I want to enjoy my life. I want to love my me-time and I want to lather us in such glory that I'm confident for the day. I used to hide the Diana B. from my (maybe that's why he is?) Ex-husband because it felt decadent and I just love it!
So hand me the tube of my black and pink Diana B. and back away slowly so no one gets hurt. I love how the white peaches and the frangipani flower scent combine to bring me right there with all the glitterati! I mean, cut me a break, it's TWO YEARS of my life I'm never getting back!
I've gone on for too long about the hidden gems of the Diana B. line. I'm getting all worked up thinking of all the Diana B. products I absolutely adore! I'm due for a peach infused cold shower!
Treat yourself or A PERFECT GIFT! Who else has tried Diana B. 's Bath Gels? What scent have you tried? Yum and Yum!

I get sent every bath gel in the world FOR FREEThat's my idea of heaven - every and any product I could possibly want...FOR FREE! This DianaB stuff MUST be good if you pay for it instead of enjoying freebies!
I've never tried this product line but you've seriously tempted me! Lol at your Golden Girls thing. It should be Sicily, though, right? :D
Bonus Lightening Round! Back In St. Olaf or Sicily!! Another Golden Girls lover-but yes, I do love this stuff, just as much as Rose, Sophia, Dorothy and Blanche!!
Meg sent me the Bath Gel in Black Fig. It smelt so good that I wanted to have a shower right then and there (the fact that I had, not an hour before had my morning shower and we are facing the worst drought of our time wasn't a factor!) I wanted it NOW!I was a good little eco warrior and did wait until the next day and used the shower gel then and its FANTASTIC! Its a great smell and lathers up nicely! I don't want to use it much because then it'll run out and then I can't get it any more! :(
nicollback-hollaback!!Doesn't Diana B. get in the Aussie stores?
I had thought not - but your questions sent me on a missions to look!Apparently they do stock it in one shop in Australia and they have that shop at the shopping centre (mall) that I work in! I tried finding that product on that shops website but couldn't find it.Maybe if I go and in and look it might be there :)
Ohhhh Alice, which store is it?! This product sounds too good for us Aussies to miss! ♥
She's in melb shay, so next trip you take.. Go get it tiger! Sounds so lush!! Summer in a bottle!
Shay, its apparently in Mecca Cosmetica. Unfortunately with the huge Chadstone renovations its closed until early November, so I can't get into see if its their. If I happen upon Chapel St or the city I'll try to pop in and see if its actually there!I'm pretty sure they'd have a couple of Mecca's up Qld way? If not I can get you some and post it up to you! (When I find it!) :)
argh - double post!
Thanks for that Alice, I will see when I can get to Mecca over here.Meg, if you love it that much it must definately be worth it! I shall go to check it out
I went into Mecca Cosmetica yesterday. I couldn't see it anywhere, and it was really busy so I didn't get a chance to ask any of the sales assistants.
I love luxuriating in the shower with wonderful smelling bath gels, I have never tried these and although I have plenty in the shower right now, I think I am going to have to branch out and try them. I think Meg is going to make me broke!!!
Oh yes! Thanks Meg so much for sending me this!I got the black fig and it smells sooo good. And it is the ONLY bath/shower gel that I can actually smell AFTER drying and dressing and working for a few hours! And it is sooo moisturizing. Perfect for my skin! When I found out the price I was shocked! but this stuff really does the job and it is a really big tube! You've started something bad here!

I was SO excited when Meg gave me not only the Peach Frangipani shower gel, but also the Sugar Scrub! Sucks for you Eleni that you don't like this flavor, because it's SO delicious. I have been using this shower gel every morning since receiving it and I'm getting a bit nervous, because I am going to run out soon! :(. The Sugar Scrub is amazing, because it not only exfoliates, it's moisturizing too because of the natural oils that are in the product. Love it! Oh, and the Golden Girls mention...hilarious! That was one of my favorite shows.
I have a sample packet of Diana B. Peach Frangapini scrub that I've never gotten around to using. Guess I know what I'll be using in the shower tomorrow!
I love peach scents, it truly does make my mouth water! I don't think Diana B. stocks up here where I live. :(
I love fruits scents !!! Wonderfull !!!
Oh my this sounds like it smells divine!! I love smelling all these kinds of bath gels and stuff, yummy
I love your passion, Meg! There's nothing wrong with getting excited about the products you really love! :) I see there's lotion, a candle, and a scrub in the same scent...I think that's a sign that you need to get them all. The Black Fig kind is intriguing too, I am such a fool for these fruity scents!
In my 165 step recovery program (12 steps just wasn't enough) we covered the desire to have no fewer than 12 body washes lined up in the shower so that we could acquire not only a clean body, but one that smelled delightful. Ok, there are now TWO in my shower (give...me.......just........a....moment.....to........catch.........myyyyyyyyyyy....breath..Ok, good to go. And I have saved four more at Sephora.com for purchase. However, I just remembered that my sister gave me a basketful of LaVanilla products for CHRISTMAS, that lies in wait. I LOVE LaVanilla grapefruit. I was saving them for a special occasion. SUCH AS???? DEATH??? I would love to try the Diana B peach and chocolate, but the price point will hold me back. Of course, my sister does need to get me another gift this Christmas. Don't tell her about the LaVanilla. I am going to get started on them as soon as I meet with my sponsor.
ive never seen this product in stores but i dont think i'd put down $30 for bath gel. i am impressed that the scent lasts all day tho.

LMAO! This is one of the GRReatest reviews I have read! Hilarious! The scents sound delicious and if it lathers well and rinses clean then I'm sold. I've never spent that much on body wash but if its as good as you say then it has to be worth it!
Style may be on the surface, but you can be deep and still have some - Clarissa Gough
I've got the Black Fig and I am so so so in love. And the scrub. IO swear I have to stop reading this blog because my bathroom is wall to wall product! I'm getting a stiff neck from craning my neck while in the tub, trying to watch TV. I do a Diana B. night, then go on to my Buttermilk-Epsom Salt soak the following night, Wednesday I luxuriate with my Anatomicals Could We Be Any More Pacific Relaxing Bath Gel. And don't get me started on the shower stuff! Oy!
I Never Tried this product but its looks YUMMY!!! My boyfriend is a gel whore too! We go through body products almost as much as we go toilet paper!!! haha and thats ALOT!!! =D
Ooo if I could only justify spending this much on shower gel. I love stuff that smells amazing hours after you take a shower.

I was lucky enough to try the Diana B. bath gel and the sugar scrub in the same Peach Frangipani fragrance! One rewarding treat I like to do to my hands is as follows. After gardening for hours, my hands always take a beating. As a well deserved treat to my hands for all their hard work, I take the Diana B. bath gel and slather the living daylights out of my hands to clean off all the dirt and then rinse it all away. Then I amp up the pleasure status on my hard working hands by using the matching scrub and when I rinse my beat-up hands they now have the new status of extremely SMOOTH and lightly fragranced hands! I know these products are meant for the body and what a sensual, uplifting experience THAT is during shower time but...I like to reward my hands for all their willingness to do everything I bid them to do during the course of a day!! What better way to say "I love you hands!" than to completely surround them in Peach Franngipani Bath Gel at $30.00 and the sugar scrub at $55.00! Honey...I am totally letting my hands experience the good life! Plus I have the constant knowledge that my hands (and skin) smell absolutely divine! I would absolutely love to surround my skin with the Green Tea Desert Grapefruit and Black Fig fragrances also - I bet they are amazingly tantalizing too! This is definitely a luxury bath gel but ladies aren't you totally worth it??? The only down side of doing this is that people seem to notice that you constantly seem to be covertly smelling your hands! Looks like you have some kind of freakish hand fetish but who care...my hands smell soooo delicious!
Jeanasina!
i haven t tried this before it does sound wonderful i don't know if i could pay 30$ for it though
Wow Meg, the way you are loving this product I really have to try! I do love my bath products, but surprisingly I have never herd of this before! (whats wrong with me?? lol!) But seriously after reading your review i have no choice but to try it...it sounds delish!!! I can't wait to get my hands on it :) I know I will probably end up getting the bath salts as well! Haha you have me hooked already and I haveb't even smelled it yet! But like one of the other girls said - if you get products for free and this one you are looking to buy...well, that says alot about how great it must be! ♥
"Never take someone for granted. Hold every person close to your heart because you might wake up one day and realize that you've lost a diamond while you were too busy collecting stones..."
This is the first I am hearing of this brand but boy-oh-boy do I want to use the Peach Frangipani bath gel...and I don't even like peach that much. :^OMabye I will try the Fig scent instead.

Hi J.M.L.,There is a "Buy It Here" link that will bring you to Beauty.com, you can get it there!
mmm...I love the scent of peaches! $30 seems way pricey for a body wash, but sometimes we just have to splurge on ourselves! Thanks for the passion filled review!
I'm so happy you wrote this post, because this is without a doubt, hands down, my absolute favorite, highest and holiest of Holy Grail bath and body lines. I've tried the Peach Frangipane, Maple Sugar Lychee Nut and Black Fig scents, and although they are all equally to die for, I think my favorite would have to be the Black Fig. It's a near exact dupe of Ormonde Jayne's Ormonde Woman perfume, and I actually prefer it to the OJ bath products. The sugar scrubs and body lotions are every bit as good as the bath gel. I'd give this line a 500+ rating, if I could!
Wow i it lasts all day I would most definetely would want a product like that... Niiice...
I am lucky enough to own the "Green Tea and Desert Grapefruit" scent in both her gel and scrub and it's TOTALLY divine although the name confuses a bit,LOL!VERY rich and sensuous and for the amout you get,the price is more than reasonable as the quality is outstanding so you use less. :)Off to take a bath because y'all are making me CRAVE the scent now,LOL! Awesome line!!!
I am a sucker for great smelling bath products, but $30? I know we all need our indulgences but I get great smelling bath gels that leave my skin feeling soft for around $4. This would not be my pick to splurge on for a treat, but the packaging is quite cute. Glad people who have tried it enjoy it!
I really like Lush soaps for the shower. THey all smell so good! Also Rocky Mountain is good and all natural!
Shower gels that work as a light perfume...now, it might just be worth those 30 dollars if it also leaves your skin soft and moisturised like the Chagrin Valley soaps do. I mean, a soap bar is around 6 dollars. Then a natural lotion of around 20. Then perfume on top of that, oh and let us not forget about the pure pleasure of relaxing with a nice scent in the shower, that is definitely priceless...not all that an expensive luxury if you look at it in that way. ;)
This sounds so Yummy!! maybe It will have to be on my christmas list :)Meg, You truly have my dream "Job" Thank-you for sharing this passion ;)
I personally did not care for the black fig version. I found this bath gel fair. I would say if you like the scent, buy it for that reason. I didn't find it moisturized my skin or made it feel any smoother. I probably will not buy again.

I got this in my pack from Meg and I LOVE it!!!! It lasts all day, it is a new staple for me!!!
The black fig sounds tempting. I love dark mysterious scents, my ultimate favorite being Donna Karan's Chaos. I am obsessed with the Golden Girls. I own the complete series on DVD and I can't fall asleep without one of those discs in. Sophia is my favorite, although I love the St. Olaf stories. You have to appreciate the writing of those stories, imagine trying to come up with something that hilarious every week.

Me too Meg, me too! I got it in the Peach Frangipani. I can't get over how little it takes to totally lather from head to toe AND that tiny amount scents your entire body. Love, love, love it. It's going to be worth every penny when I order it, because you know I can't be without it now. Don't even get me started on the sugar scrub. I can see why you begged our beloved Eleni to score you some more Diana B (crack!). Score!
I just had to follow-up on DianaB! The one and only thing I was PERSONALLY not a fan of in DIANAB.'s products was the fragrance of peach. I love to eat peaches but the smell seems to be a bit off once it is slathered onto MY skin. Everybody likes something different, which is good, otherwise we'd all be stealing each others favorite products! Mr. Harleyman agrees, he doesn't like fruity stuff on me so much either. Ironically, recently I made a purchase on Sephora's lovely website and you know when you purchase things from them, you get free samples of things to try! Well...one of my samples happened to be the DIANAB. Green Tea Desert Grapefruit scented body lotion so I was able to see how another one of her intriquing fragrances smelled on my skin! Let me tell you .... THIS is a scent i can resonate more with! I ended up gifting my peach DIANAB. bath gel and scrub to my daughter who NEVER has a chance to use top of the line products like this. I showed the products to her and she really liked the fragrance of the peaches so I imagine, she is home in the woods where she lives, refusing to come out of their shower and fix breakfast anytime soon for her family! LOL! These products really give you the feel of a high end spa experience! My husband constantly tells me I'm like a doe. He says, if there is anything at all going on that I'm not comfortable with, I am gone like a shot like a startled deer! This is 100% true and if I'm uncomfortable in a situation I simply am very still and say nothing for long periods of time and just observe. He says my taste in fragrances are along the same lines, similar to a doe. I thrive on earthy tones and fresh air smells so I'd have to say he's pretty right on in his assessment of his 'deer' wife! I think that's why recently I was over the moon over the fragrance of the Buckwheat foot scrub soap I recently reviewed! And the green tea portion of the DIANAB. was what made me sniff it out and like it more than the peach.
Jeanasina!
omg does it exfoliate? I want it crazy much!! I learn about so many new and awesome brands on megsmakeup! It's awesome, thanks so much :D.
Hm..I just got a sample of the Diana B. Peach Frangipani Scugar Scrub. If it's as good as the bath gel, Meg, I'm excited to try it!
http://ediblelove.wordpress.com/
Just wanted to say I tried my sugar scrub sample in this scent and the smell is amazing!! The consistency was a little hard to work with, but that may just be because it was in a plastic packet. I bet the shower gel is awesome, I really hope to try it one day!
wow this article has me sold, and I love peach scents!
