DR. HAUSCHKA DAILY FACE CARE KITS!

Sweetassgal here thanking my wonderful new friend Stylemama for bestowing upon me the gift of Dr. Hauschka! We are sisters in sensitive and red skin and the trial sized travel kit she gave me (which she promises will help tone down my redness) may be just the ticket I've been looking for. Dr. Hauschka has a Daily Face Care Kit for oily/impure skin with a Cleansing Cream, Clarifying Toner, Normalizing Day Oil (the anti-redness secret), Facial Steam Bath and two different masks. This is the perfect chance to test out the line and see what Dr. H really has to offer! I love it when lines offer a trial size kit so you can really afford to give it the old college try. Of course...I get to try it for FREE thanks to Stylemama!
This week will test out the product like no other because at just about the time this review hits the web...I'll be winging my way to Honolulu to see my best friend Jen and my beautiful nephews Nickolas and Tyler. As I've said many, many times before...I am perpetually hot and tend to look like the bottom end of a thermometer at the least heat exposure. Last time I went to Oahu in September I almost passed from heat and humidity and am pretty sure I constantly reflected the color of my fire engine red toenails in my face. Dr. Hauschka has his work cut out for him to combat my naturally ruddy skin as well as the sultry heat of the Island! However, I will faithfully use this line every day for as long as it lasts and will report back the results in a few weeks or so when I feel I can accurately and honestly gage the outcome.
Stylemama is DYING for me to try this as she is SO sure it's the answer to my prayers. I hope so because she fell in love with my Juara Rice Cleanser I sent her and I'm hoping turnabout is fair play with this line! Is there anything more beautiful than when two practical strangers come together in makeup and in love of sharing our beauty secrets to enrich each others lives? I think not. And now that we've met in real life, our friendship has only grown deeper.
If anyone is sitting on the "golden goose" out there and has discovered a line or product that really works please speak up and share! This is...of course...what Megsmakeup.com is really about! Look for a follow up review in a while and as always...GLAM ON!

This looks like a great kit. I'd love to try it out! Lucky you! For me, the definition of a golden goose product line equals one that doesn't break me out or some other equally unpleasant side effect. Fortunately this applies to a couple lines. Not sure they can be called HGs, though.
Excellent post, looking forward to hearing all about the results! I don't suffer from redness at the moment [touch wood!] so this product wouldn't be useful to me, but I know there are a tonne of women who need something like this.Have a great time in Honolulu you lucky thing!
This looks excellent. i too love the sample sizes offered by companies cos it's such a waste when you buy a full size that doesn't work for your skin. i am awaiting a package from Garden of Wisdom with a whole load of trial stuff to see how that suits my skin. i've heard good reviews elsewhere. :)
this looks like a neat little kit, i think it would be exceptionally good for travel use. I don't think it would suit me for daily use, i think the cleaser would be gone after two days lol. My current moisturiser is palmer's cocoa butter, I love the smell! other than that I dont' use much on my skin, and i dont' really have a skin care routine

That looks like a great kit. Enjoy your holiday and I hope the products work for you, can't wait to hear about the resutls. I agree that it is really beautiful when two strangers can come together over makeup and beauty products and become very good friends. I know that its happened to me
Can't wait for you to post your results, it sounds like a great kit.
This looks like a nice little kit, great way to try out these products with out skimpy sample sizes. I'd like to try this :)
I hope so because she fell in love with my Juara Rice Cleanser I sent her and I'm hoping turnabout is fair play with this line! Is there anything more beautiful than when two practical strangers come together in makeup and in love of sharing our beauty secrets to enrich each others lives? I think not. That made me smile. Most of my beauty discoveries are from online makeup forums, and I've recently started swapping and sending people stuff I hope they like!
I can't imagine anyone not liking Dr. Hauschka products - especially when they're free! But they're well worth it even at full price. The normalizing day oil smells lovely and works so well. I hope you enjoy the line and have a fabulous time in Hawaii.
I'm eager to see how this works for you. I feel like trying things in sample sizes is a must for any beauty-related product, but especially skincare, because you need to be able to really try it for a few days and see how your skin will react. I recently started using a new cleanser, new moisturizer, and new makeup all at once--whoops. My skin freaked out! So I dialed it back so I can try and figure out which of those my skin isn't liking (or maybe it's the combination).
Ive always been meaning to try the normalising day oil especially since style mama has said a couple of times how great it is so looking forward to seeing how you get on with it.Dr hauschka goes to freaky lengths to make perfect products like picking them at the correct moon tide(I kid you not)and the pickers of the rose petals are only allowed pick them if their in a good mood so only positive vibes go into the products-om!.Their blackthorn oil is supposed to be amazing for toning body skin and Ive heard people raving about the lemon body lotion and rose day cream(they have brought out a light version of this lately which is meant for combo and oily skin)-their cosmetics look nice too especially the mascara and lip gloss. My stand by products are lavera eye cream/miracle,phytodefrisant relaxing balm, anything kerstase, citre shine serum, janina dental products and since I got these from meg-epione eye cream and face cream both are amazing and am loving the murad active radiance serum-its really refining my skin .

I really hope this works for you....I'm looking for a line that can help get rid of my melasma (ARGH). I have never even heard of this line so i look forward to hearing your results! I have not tried a new line in such a long time (the last time was wexler and i hated it) so i've stuck to the basics esp since i have to put on all these other products from my dermatalogist after i wash.good luck with this product
i love trial kits, too. you try the product and if you hate it, you dont feel like u have a lot left over and really wasted your money. the downside is that some stuff, like face stuff, takes a while for you to find out how well it really works for you so hopefully the trial size is generous enough. good luck!
Sounds like it could do wonders. My only problem with these kits is finding the time to actually do them on a regular basis. But trial kits are def a great idea. That's how you get hooked or totally turned off but either way it's so much better than wasting an entire bottles worth of product and money!

O Please Please Please tell me how it works! I have aweful skin and iam always looking for something to help! And YES i do throw My remote // Water bottle ( whatever i can find ) when the proactiv commericals come on talking about how amazing it works.. BA! Think not! haha
I have a sad, sad weakness for anything trial size! However, this looks like a lot of steps! Not sure I'd have time for all that, and I'm guessing that if you don't use it all, you don't get the full effect. Looking forward to hearing what it's really like!
I also love it when comanies have a trial size kit! It sucks spending so much money on something you have never tried or hear of! and trial sizes are perfect!! Its what brought alot of people to EDM.These skin care products sound great. I am in desperate need of skin care since there is no where here to get botox.... ;)

I have been interested in trying out Dr. Hauschka's products for quite some time now. I have many friends who use them and most have been pretty happy with them. The problem is they aren't exactly cheap (at least not over here) and that makes it a bit problematic if you just want to try them. But having a kit like this would be perfect for that purpose! I must go and see if they have any similiar kits in the shops over here.At the moment I can't try anything on my face though... got some kind of weird allergic reaction (swollen eyes every morning and skin feels really odd and very sensitive). I have no idea what is causing it but have now stopped using pretty much everything on my face. Will probably have to take some anti histamines and see if that would help. It started on Sunday and doesn't seem to want to away.
Parakeet, if you don't have allergies to chamomile tea, I suggest you brew some, let it cool a bit, and dampen a very soft washcloth in it and use it as a compress on your face - including your eyes. It's soothing and simultaneously refreshing. This is the only thing that works for me when my skin or eyes are get irritated for whatever reason.
Thanks so much for the tip! :) I will definitely try that. My face is a bit better today even though I still have no idea what caused it to react this way (I'm not really allergic to much at all, just some pollen in the spring and dogs, and those give me a runny nose at the most, usually don't have any symptoms).
I love trial kits. It really allows you to test products to see if they work for your skin before shelling out the $$dough$$ for a full-size product. When I first used Dr. Hauschka, I got a load of samples to try out first at Whole Foods for free! I've also purchased sample sets from Suki and Juice Beauty. For me, I don't see them as a waste of money, because I'd rather throw out a small sample than a full-size product if it didn't work for my skin.Sweetassgal, what a nice tribute to your friendship with stylemama. So sweet!
I cant wait to see how this turns out! I've been eyeing these products under this company ever since Babylove did the soothing mask review. And I totally agree there is nothing more "beautiful than when two practical strangers come together in makeup and in love of sharing our beauty secrets to enrich each others lives"!! It's a beautiful world we live in!
sounds like you are really going to be putting these products to the test! i look forward to hearing your follow up review! speaking of going away- i just got back from holiday sunday night and while i was away i didnt have a problem with my (usually) oily skin i didnt have to blot atall, i didnt wake up oily etc but today i have blotted 5 times! any ideas why would happen i havent changed my routine since i got back??!
Please let us know how it turns out after your trip!
Yes please post your results. I have rosacea, spider veins and melasma (or lentigo?)--ie, age spots. Have tried many things to get rid of the pesky splotches but nothing has worked so far. Please let us know!
this looks good ..may be i should try it too
Sweetassgal, you hit the nail on the head when you said MMU is all about sharing those holy grail products that actually work! I have found quite a few products that have revolutionized my routine on Meg's and the cherry on the sundae? The terrific girls on the site who've become true friends! I hope this line solves your problem.

Can't wait to read your review about this. You're lucky to have found a friend in Stylemama. :)
i have the skin sooo sensitive ... i can't wait to read your next review ...
I think that trial sizes are great for trying the products and for deciding if you like them enought to buy the big sizes or not.I`ve heard good opinions about Shiseido Pureness and I would like to try it before buying these expensive products.
I am in the same boat with searching for that skincare that does everything I need. I have found a few things here or there but never an entire line that delivered. I'm at the age where I'm trying to clear up minor acne but don't really need age prevention yet. I've heard about Obagi with great recommendation. Its very pricey and I wish they offered trial sizes but they don't.

I'm curious to see the review. Although I could never afford it.
I can't wait to hear your review after your vacation! (have fun!)I am happy with my skincare routine now, but if I could find a product that helps combat the redness in my fair skin, I would be willing to try it!
I've always had good luck with this line, it works (for me, at least) very similiar to Ole Henrikson, another line I have had lots of success with.
i <3 travel/sample kits! and one that helps with redness? Can I has :D cant wait to hear the results!
Can't wait to hear your review. I've been reading a lot of good things about the line, but just hesitate to shell out the kind of money for products that might just be hyped. At the moment, I'm experimenting with natural skin care from GOW (Garden of Wisdom). It's soon been half a week and my skin seems to be very happy with the gentle cleansers, my Green French Clay, acids and wonderful cream I bought. And my wallet is pretty happy too, considering that it is actually a reasonably priced brand of skincare.
I simply adore Dr. Hauschka Eye Solace pads. They really wake me up; they help with sensitive puffy, allergy eyes, if you wear contact lenses, are exposed to smoke or stare at a computer screen.

I really like skin care kits, it makes things easier for me. There are just so many skin care products out there and it's hard to determine what I actually need, a kit makes it a bit easier.
I love skin care kits. I like being able to try out several products in small batches instead of paying for one full size product at the same price.I was checking out this website the other day (and marked several things down for my chrismas wish list) but now I may be able to try this out to hold me over. I also like the price point of just over $25.00Sweetassgal, I hope you have a great trip and that this product works for you.
I luckily do not have much redness, just sometimes in the winter. And I find using Jasons vitamin E oil (just two drops) on my face with lots of water to help it soak in really helps. And it doesn't break me out!
Lucky you! Honestly I have a problem keeping up with skincare systems and kits...I use these for the first three days then just dont use it as regular as I should! I am start to het those hormonal breakout like every two weeks but nothing major so I'm just doing my regular deep clean masks and peels
;) Gloss & Gum <3
oh i love sample kits too! it's a great way to try product without a big investment. i got hooked on boscia that way. it doesn't have preservatives and it's all-natural. i don't know how it is as far as relieving redness, but it made my skin feel great (and my mom likes it too).
