CALLING ALL EARTH ANGELS - COSMINOLOGY IS FOR YOU!
"Don't believe in miracles... expect them!" - Dr. Dima Ali M.D., Creator of Cosminology
MissRo here to tell you that Cosminology is one of the cutest Doctor brands I have ever come across. With names like Global Debris Remover - Get Cosmically Naked, Fault-Line Defender - Twilight Anti-Oxident Cream, You Rock My Cosmos - Mineral Complexion Compact, and AstroPucker Me All Over the Galaxy - Galactic Lip Plumper ("for that slow and steady surge"), how can you not fall in love with this line!
Cosminology was created by Dr. Dima Ali, M.D. and inspired by her personal sensitivity to harsh, over the counter and prescription strength topical treatments. As a long-time acne sufferer with a propensity for hyperpigmentation, Dr. Dima Ali began to combine varying strengths of potent, rejuvenating ingredients with natural, anti-inflammatory botanical extracts and essential oils to treat her own skin conditions and those of her patients.
Dima Ali, M.D. is an internationally recognized Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Medicine expert. Her areas of expertise include aesthetic laser surgery, minimally invasive face lifts, lipofilling, botox, soft tissue fillers, chemical peels, sclerotherapy, mesotherapy/lipo-dissolve and bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. “Dr. Dima,” as her patients and colleagues affectionately call her, founded one of the East Coasts first medical spas, WellMedica Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine in Reston, VA.
I have to tell you Megheads (and soon-to-be Earth Angels) this is a line worth trying. If I were you, I would start with either the AstroPucker Me All Over the Galaxy - Galactic Lip plumper ($28), or the Cosmic Ray Shield SPF 36 day cream Your Skin's Solar Defense ($38), or the You Rock My Cosmos - Mineral Complexion Foundation ($38). But you seriously can't go wrong with any product. You'll even get a kick out of her "warning" label - WARNING! REGULAR USE MAY CAUSE EXCESSIVE SKIN ADMIRATION RESULTING IN SKIN ENVY.
You can purchase the line straight from their website. To learn more, click here.
Dr. Dima's cosmetic line is a mineral based line. What mineral lines have you tried?

sounds like a great line! I haven't tried many mineral lines, i've only tested the maybelline minerals on my hand at priceline (but i heard their old mineral line still contain harsh chemicals..but my friend bought the whole set of maybelline's new mineral line and she said it's pretty good). Other than that umm a random brand off ebay called "Natur Minerals" it was $10 for a whole bag of minerals, blush, shadow, liner veils concealers etc. it works ok but I question whether it's pure. Now i'm hooked on everyday minerals, possibly the best I've tried so far. i cannot believe i found a shade that matches my skin completely and covers alll redness and blemishes :)

This line sounds great to me, especially the skin care. I have tried Bare Minerals, Rare Minerals Night Treatment (loved it!), Southern Magnolia Minerals, Everyday Minerals and Coastal Scents new Silk Cover Mineral Foundation. I did not have much luck with Everyday Minerals. I ordered 3 different sample sets and could not find a good color match. I also didn't really like the finish, of any one of their four different finishes: matte, semi-matte, original glo and intensive. I haven't totally given up on them, only because the price is so good. However, I don't think the quality is as good as Bare Minerals or Coastal Scents mineral foundation. I think it's the lesser quality that keeps me from appreciating the finish, but like I said I haven't totally given up. Maybe if I find the right color I will like it more. For the time being I am using Coastal Scents Silk Cover Mineral Foundation, this is a new finish they just came out with. They describe it as:
Silk Cover Mineral Foundation is the newest addition to CS Cosmetic's. It offers a creamy texture, full cover without a heavy look & a dewy finish. We have10 shades available to choose from; all of these can be mixed together if you need to custom blend for your skin tone.
Ingredients List: Titanium Dioxide, Mica, Iron Oxides, Rice Powder, Zinc Oxide, Boron Nitride,Magnesium Myristate, Kaolin Clay, Ultramarine Blue
I included the ingredients for all of you with sensitivities. This is the first mineral foundation I have found that has full coverage and a dewy finish. You can find it at coastalscents.com. Their shipping is very fast.

Wow sounds right up my alley! And the names are soo awesome lol!Very pricey! I wish they had sample sizes for sale cause i would tottally try it. Im in love with mineral makeup and cant get enough skin care!I havnt tried too many brands. Bare Minerals, Everyday Minerals and Youngeblood. but i love trying new thing!!mabey in the future theyll come out with a few samples, or meg can start throwing some of these in with the mailouts!
Tan is Love
I am a mineral makeup lover! I've tried BE, EDM, Joelle formerly Mineral Glitters, Sheer Cover, and a few lines that I can't really remember. Sheer Cover doesn't have a shade light enough for my skin tone, BE is good but it makes me overly shiny sometimes, I love EDM, and Joelle kept shipping me the wrong items and not responding to my e-mails, so I boycotted them.

I've tried Neutrogena minerals, Everyday Minerals, Coastal Scents, and Aromaleigh. I'm pretty devoted to Everyday Minerals because it's quality makeup at a great price, plus it's really fun!Neutrogena pressed mineral foundation is also a favorite of mine though.
The only minerals I've tried are Everyday Minerals and ELF mineral eyeshadows. I really love both and am going to try pressing my shadows next week.
I used to use Bare Minerals but it kinda made my skin glow orange. This may be a better alternative with a slightly cheaper price tag! And what cute names they have!
Sounds like good stuff! Unfortunately out of my price range =( My one and only mineral love belongs to Everyday Minerals, I get a flawless face every time!
I saw this ad here on the site and was wondering about it, so thanks for the info! I've tried EDM and more recently, Silk Naturals. I never tried Bare Escentuals after hearing a lot of people say they had bad reactions to it!
Thank you for bringing this company to my attention. I have been on the hunt for a good mineral foundation for quite some time. I am going to have to check this company out. There are many products in this line that that are very interesting.
Once I read this "As a long-time acne sufferer with a propensity for hyperpigmentation, Dr. Dima Ali began to combine varying strengths of potent, rejuvenating ingredients with natural, anti-inflammatory botanical extracts and essential oils to treat her own skin conditions and those of her patients." I was immediately interested in trying these products. Theses are the same issues I have with my skin, and I would enjoy trying a skincare line created by ya doctor who suffers from the same skin issues. Very interesting review! ♥
"Never take someone for granted. Hold every person close to your heart because you might wake up one day and realize that you've lost a diamond while you were too busy collecting stones..."
How cute are those names?! I love the look of the lip plumpers, such nice colours. The Galactic Core Your Pores Anti-Matter Mask looks interesting too. I'd love to hear how they perform when someone gives them a go? :]
Bare Minerals claims to not have any preservatives, but their finishing powder, named Mineral Veil, not only contains parabens, but gave me a Huge painful rash which lasted for almost two weeks...Shame on them for misleading us all. Now, do I want to spend $28 for a lip plumper in this economy? Hmmm....
Love the names and the info! Not a fan of mineral makeup but I think that the "purpose" behind what she has created is a strong one and she has the credentials to back up her claims.I do think this market is becoming "saturated" and a bit hard to navigate howevere and kuddos to the Dr. for keeping it more real on her site.
Ive tried a fair few mineral lines, Meow cosmetics and EDM seem to be the most revered online so those are the 2 companies i am sticking with. I love the idea of smaller companies that really care about their customers and EDM really does this. It is a vegan company and has no nasty stuff in anything they make. Pretty awesome go check it out. Ive also tried lumiere, which was good, pureluxe minerals for eyes.. lovely shades! and archetype minerals for eyes.. amazing colors too.
makeup makeup makeup!!!!!!!
My sister would totally fall in love with this range just because of the names! Me? I would blush deeply if anyone happened to read them.I have two loves when it comes to mineral make-up: EDM and Body Shop. EDM has better prices, and more choices, to be sure but Body Shop on the other hand has elegant jars, and displays so you can try the products before you commit to them. Neither line has caused me any troubles, save becoming addicted to mineral make-up, and make-up in general, which is not good for my economy. ;)
I Dont think ive ever tried mineral products before!! Thank you for this review.. Iam going to check this out and see if it is good for my needs!!
I totally love mineral makeup, I currently use Everyday Minerals and i have tried barefaced Beauty it's a mineral makeup company here in the UK great product but EDM was far cheaper !!! Cosminology sounds wonderful and I'd love to try their foundation but it's over the customs limit for me so I can't try this, hopefully lovely Meg will send me one in my beauty package :-) x x
I think the names are really cute. I'm such a sucker for those types of things. The only mineral brand that I have tried is EM. I really like it and it works well for my skin.
I've only ever tried Everyday Minerals, and I'm in love! I'd really like to try the Neutrogena mineral sheers; I know it isn't actually mineral makeup (I've seen the ingredients list) but I don't mind because the finish looks so nice.Cosminology sounds a little expensive; maybe I'll try it when I get a job. :P
Sounds interesting, but way too pricey for me. I was lucky, EM was the first mineral makeup I tried and I fell in love with it. Great color match and staying power, plus very affordable. So no need to try any other foundation in my opinion.I have tried a few other MMU companies for their eyeshadows, with my favs being Pure Luxe & Archtype.
I first heard about this line right here in Chit-Chat, and ordered the foundation right away. I've been using it for the past week and have to say I love it. I especially like the fact that it comes in a compact, so there is no waste or spillage. The coverage is exellent, yet the effect is light. Best of all, it lasts alll day. Dr. Dima is a winner.
wow whatta merical <3
Kind of over-priced. Oh well, there's a line for everyone. I'd have to try samples before committing to a big buy.
That's quite a bit of money for me right now, but it certainly sounds interesting. Did y'all see the before and after pictures? I'm always a sucker for those. The foundation looks great. I finally thought about all the mineral foundations I've tried. Bare Minerals (best so far even though it gets me a little itchy at times), Maybelline (good brand for cheap, the coverage is a little less, I mix it with B.M. for a good summer color), e.l.f (cheap and good quality, color is off so I mix with B.M), Sheer Cover (nice, maybe a little creamier than B.M, poor color selection, didn't last long and expensive), Jane Iredale (great, color wasn't quite right, matte finish that I didn't particularly love). I've also tried little indie brands like Monarch that I got off of eBay - crappy stuff, chalky and difficult to blend. My next one to try is EDM. Cause y'alll just won't shut up about it! :)
My next one to try is EDM. Cause y'alll just won't shut up about it! :)You'll be next not shutting up about it! I swear that stuff is addictive.
Ive been keeping an eye out for mineral lines to try-but they all seem v samey so its hard to decide but I just had a look at the cosminology site and all I have to say about their range is covet x 1000 I want everything-I love the sound of the astropucker me all over the galaxy galactic lip plumper and astro pucker me all nite long galactic lip plumper because they actually keep the pesky wrinkles away rather than encourage them like some lip plumpers and Im still pursuing a keira knightly pout. The galactic glove seal your skin anti-oxidant serum also sounds great because it treats all types of skin from dry to spot prone so seems pretty safe for all skin types. This is a very exciting brand-love thats its a mineral brand as well as a doctor brand, love the huge range, the names are the most individual Ive heard in a long time-they really is something there to peak everyones intrest-oh and an oscar affiliate too.
PotionPrincess♥
Oh what cute names!
Personally, I love everyday minerals, it's the only mineral line I've used but I love it. I haves ton of there blushes, kaolin is awesome, finishing dust and nr are great. Foundation is amazing. So is the eye shadow haha pretty much everything is fantastic omg and the brushes are to die for!!!
Cute and creative names... I have been using Jane Iredale, kinda pricey. These seems reasonable enough compared to Jane products. But I believe that somethings are worth the $$$.
aww this is so cute! i personally love mineral makeup. unfortunately, i don't have a lot of money to spend on these products [since im a college student], but if i could try it, i would. these products sound so great :)
hahaha cute! i want people to envy my skin.i've tried everyday minerals. i like it but dont like it at the same time. i can't seem to find the right shade and its hard to use if you have only the sample size cause its hard to get it on the brush. the shades always seem to light to me :\ maybe i'll try this and see how it goes.
I like mineral lines, definitely don't love them. I have pretty bad reactions with most foundations, but mineral eye shadows and blushes and what not are great! I've tried tons of brands from Bare Escentuals, to Everyday Minerals, ELF's line, Tera Firma, and also drug store brands like Maybelline and Wet N Wild. I like the names of these products and they sound really nice, but they'd definitely be a splurge for me. I'm hesitant to try pricey mineral products because of the mixed results I've had.
I have tried Bare Minerals ( didn't really like too shiny and too dry for me), EDM (again too dry for me) and Smash box Halo which is so much better but is lately feeling dry again for me. I am still searching mineral products but think I may have to stick to liquid because I am so dry. I will look into this line and see if there is anything for me.
I can tell you right now that I'd love to try the Cosmic Ray Shield SPF36 Your Skin's Solar Eclipse! What a great name! It conjurs up an image of your face looking dark and murky and then you use this product and vavoom! Suddenly your face is radiant and bright and almost too fabulous to look at! I like that idea! The products I'd most like to check out personally are the..."Scientifically based anti-aging products which utilize active ingredients in ideal levels that assure real skin improvement. These advanced skin care products help reduce the effects of environmental stress & aging, strengthen elastin fibers and boost collagen production, dramatically rejuvenating the skin's appearance." This is totally up my alley of interest! I'm always on the hunt for anything that will 'strengthen elastin fibers and boost collagen production!" Apparently eating Hershey chocolate bars with almonds doesn't do a thing for skin regeneration and tightening in the facial area! I tried coming up with my own scientific research to get rid of sagging skin but all I got was extremely happy taste buds!
Jeanasina!
I have tried Everyday minerals and Meow Cosmetics. I love them both but if you are looking for better coverage, I would use EDM. Meow cosmetics is very light on the skin but doesn't provide much coverage. I checked out the website for Cosminology and I like a few things.- Beam Me Off! Alien Acne Invader-Galactic Core Your Pores Anti-Matter Mask-So Universally Clean You Can Eat Off My Face-Galactic Glove Seal Your Skin Anti-Oxidant SerumThey look so great but are also very expensive. I would love to try them all, but I will have to do 1 at a time.

I've tried quite a few mineral lines and i like everyday minerals the best. I had a look at Cosminology site. I'm very intrigued, but there is no way I'm paying those prices without trying the products first.
the concept reminds me of Anatomicals brand discussed on this website before.... I must say i am not impressed with mineral makeup, i tried the powder foundation and blush, and they tend to exaggerate my large pores- so no more mineral based items for me :(
Wow I was seriously just looking into this line sometime last week. I stumbled across their website and was really thinking about placing an order..but it's a little too pricey for me! If I were to read amazing reviews I might have to reconsider...
I love the names they are so mystical! I am willing to try another mineral line because I am allergic to others like edm and bm but I really want the results everybody is talking about!
;) Gloss & Gum <3
I have tried bare escentuals and everyday minerals. I now use a Clinique liquid foundation that has minerals in it as my skin is too dry to use straight up minerals anymore.
sounds great! thanks!
