SWEETASSGAL GETS A HAIR MAKEOVER!

As promised Sweetassgal took the big plunge on Saturday and got a complete hair makeover at the Elizabeth David Salon in San Francisco from a wonderful stylist and proudly my cousin...Troy Payne. Troy, along with his partner Joselyn Podesto have opened a salon in the Union Square neighborhood that makes you feel like you can relax and be comfortable while still experiencing the highest quality of hair knowledge and technique in the city. There is an air of unpretentious confidence that permeates the air as the delicious sounds of the city rise up to meet you on the fourth floor of a lovely old San Francisco building. It's warm, airy, cozy and a sheer delight to experience a hair transformation here. So much so that my sojourn ended with happy tears in the arms of my cousin. I was reborn and I absolutely love my new cut and color. I can still wear it in my natural curl and rock the wild look or wear it sleek and sophisticated when I'm in the mood. Thank you Troy...I couldn't tell you that enough.
Matching the euphoria I was experiencing from my day in the city was the feeling I got when I came home to find a new package from Meg. Quelle surprise because I was NOT expecting anything before The Madonna Inn this Friday! Let's just say there will be a lot of great reviews coming up soon!
We have a great "hairpiece" coming up tomorrow but how amazing does our Sweetassgal look? It is so true-there is nothing like a fabulous hair make-over! Who else out there has really gone for it and taken the hair plunge! Waist length to pixie? Who has done it?! SHARE IT! I know I want to sport the Mia Farrow in Rosemary's Baby cut but I need some encouragement! I'm dying for a pixie!-Meg

You look really beautiful Angie! I would say that your hair transformation was a complete success! Kudos to your cousin for his fine work! Enjoy your birthday with your new look. And have a great time on your little vacation at the Inn!
Love the new hair style! You look awesome. I am admiring those long curls though.... are those natural?
It is natural so I can still wear it curly. I need to buy a flat iron and I know ceramic one's are spendy so I'll still be curly a lot until I get one!
Love, hugs and shoes...Angie
ohhh, pretty new hairstyle! I am growing my hair out for my wedding right now, but two days after the wedding I already have an appointment set up to chop my hair back up to above my shoulders, get some bangs (haven't had these since I was like 9) and get some highlights or a gloss. I want a serious change!
B-E-A-U TIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! did you die when you first washed your hair?!?! Its such a funny feeling when you get ride of so much hair!!! hehe
Wow you look fabulous !!!!I had very long hair when I was 15 it was so long I could sit on it and I was so sick of it getting matted underneath (because it's so thick and curly) so I had it cut so short it was about 2 inches on the sides and I had flicks it was the 80s, I loved it, it was so nice to have short hair it was so easy to manage !!!
Wow you look fantastic! What a great hair transformation! How fun! Sometimes all it takes is the right cut and style to make you feel absolutely fabulous about yourself!
Oh la la.... SAG your are BEAUTIFUL! Love the new do. It looks so sophisticated but also fun. Great picture, love the martini too ;-)
Wow, awesome transformation! That style looks great on you, enjoy!
A beautiful new look for a beautiful person. Did it take you a while to get used to the new cut?
I LOVE IT! SAG You are so beautiful . . . inside and out.I also love you can go curly/ straight or tamed/wild.
It looks wonderful! Can I say I also loved the "before" look?I'v been a blonde, brunette, and a redhead, will probably die a redhead because Mike LOVES this color hair...nothing like a leap of hair-faith to really rock your world!I double dog dare you Miz Meg,with your delicate features, you'd look great in short hair!!! I might consider chopping mine BUT,it's back/up a lot and that is an option I don't want to lose...MUCH success to the new salon and thanks for sahring Hon! :)
wow you look great! the haircut really suits you and that's great that you can have it naturally curly or straight.

I love this look, Angie. You look Mah-velous.
Angie! You look fantastic! I love the transformation! You look like a star on a television show! Your hairstyle is so polished! It must have been fun to go home and figure out which one of your fabulous shoes in your collection goes best with your new tresses~! Can't wait to see your new look in person! You have some amazing hair lady! Your natural color and texture is simply beautiful and the colors in your new look are some of my favorites! Once I did go as short as Annie Lennox and also had my hair bleached white white blonde to go with the look. I loved the ease of just getting up and going but it really wasn't as flattering on me as having long hair. But that's just me! On many of the episodes of America's Top Model - pretty much all the girls that they have completely changed by cutting their long locks totally short have rocked out in the looking hot department!Meg - you are just so damn cute - you can carry any style you want to! You should go to a wig store and try on little pixie ultra short hair styles and see what you think about short hair! You are extremely versatile and when you are open to different looks it's so much fun to do them! You never get bored with your look if you are open to always making changes which YOU always are!!!!
Jeanasina!
I love your new hair! It looks so very chic. Hair makeovers always make me feel like a million bucks again. Right now I am growing mine out for the winter but as soon as I get a nice 50 degree day in Spring I will be back at the salon getting it chopped back into my lovely bob. My biggest cut was when I was in 1st grade. I had hair down to my butt and I hated it so my mom cut it up to my chin. That was forever ago. I never let it get too long anymore. Once it reaches a certain point it has gotta go.Meg, I hope you step out with a new pixie cut soon. I bet you will look awesome in it!
Like the new hairstyle. The most I ever cut was about 10 inches. Not butt to pixie but it made a big difference. It was so much easier to manage but I'm working on growing it out again.
Angie, you are so brave! The new hair looks great and sleek on you. I'm sure you will be using a lot less product in your hair now! :)

I went from straight FLAT hair, to curly perm, to Victoria Beckham bob.I'll post pics lolThis is my natural hairhttp://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-sf2p/v64/178/121/501114666/n50111...This is when I got it permed http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-sf2p/v153/178/121/501114666/n5011...And then Vic Backham plunge!!!http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-sf2p/v136/178/121/501114666/n5011...Now I really really regret cutting it, so Ive just been growing it back and putting it up. I want it to go back to how I originally had my natural hair. It was so much nicer, and easier to maintain.
WOW!!! What an incredible change! You're very brave to cut off all that hair, and it looks so sleek and sophisticated. Congratulations!
You look very confident and happy :D Love it. I know what you mean about eyeing those pixie cuts. Every time I see a girl with a really good one I wonder how it'd look on me but I just couldn't ever do it! I need to be able to hide behind my hair a bit if I'm having a "bad face day" :P
I love it! Your hair looks amazing and the haircut is really flattering. :)
You look GREAT! The sleep look is So good on you.My hair has curls about the same as your actually and I usually get my hair cut the same length. Though its getting past my shoulders now and Im debating whether I should cut again or try to grow it long... But loose curls get ugly when they get long... Haha I havnt decided yet.I wish my hair was as thick as yours when straight though! mine tends to get too thin when I straighten it, unless I use alot of volumizing products!!Good job taking the plungeIm ready for a hair transformation right about now!
Tan is Love
LOVE the change!! and the ability to wear it curly or straight is so cool! meg do it! it's just hair. i cut mine off (could tuck it into my rocky mountain jeans - - ya, i went there) into a pixie when i realized i would physically hide in it... tip forward and let it fall around my face to 'hide' - that dog didn't hunt so off the hair went and it was donated. someone else is now sporting my spiral perm. that's actually been years ago and for the first time i'm thinking about letting it grow out again - we'll see.
I had hair long enough to sit on as a little girl and when i was 11 i decided i wanted a bob!!! after weeks of begging, my mum took me to the salon and i had it all cut off (they put my hair in a pony tail, then chopped the pony tail off-my mum cried!!) It was scary but i loved my short hair and stuck to that style for years then even went back to it a few times because of people saying how they had loved my hair like that- go for it meg- if you dont like it you can always grow it out i am sure you would rock it anyway!!!sweetassgirl your hair is gorgeous!!! before and after! x
Angie - you are such a beauty! I think your long curls are great, but as a fellow curly girl, I can really appreciate your sleek look. OMG - it is everything I'd like to have on my head! If I get to CA, I'm going to make an appointment with your cousin. If all goes well, he may become my cousin too!Meg, I used to sport the pixie look and loved it when I was younger. I'd probably do it again now, except that my hair's become so curly, I don't think it would be as cute. But with your great looks and flair, I think you'd look fabulous with a short do!

What a lovely new style! I'm sure it'll be fun to have the freedom to wear it curly or straight, too.I went from long to short hair years ago, only to realize too late that short styles don't work well with my face. I'm sure you'll have a better experience than I did if you decide to go for that pixie!
pixie cut pixie cut! u have the face for it why not
Oh wow! that's a stylish hair cut!I reccently just got a hair cut too, my long hair was way too hard to manage, so i went crazy with a pair of scissors and cut it all off.. about 10inches.. of course i'm no hairdresser, so it's uneven and choppy, people seem to like it though.. maybe they're just being polite. I guess i'll need to fork out a few to go to a professional some day. I think a pixie would look great on you, i think you have the right face shape for it! :)

Huge change! Looks Awesome..I also think it is great that you can still wear it curly without it looking wierd and fluffy. I'm really not an big adventurous change type of person, I don't think I could make such a huge cut but yours really is amazing!
;) Gloss & Gum <3
Oh MY Gosh....I love it!! Your hair looks great!!
Awesome transformation! How did they make it look so good straight? (I'm always trying to find the answer to that question for my own hair)

SAG, you look fabulous dah-ling! You look like a movie star. Seriously. It's very polished and sophisticated. I totally admire your hair courage, that's a big jump to take. So will you be shaking up the makeup look to go with - a bold lip maybe? Hmmm?
Gorgeous before and gorgeous after! I'm not brave enough to go that short so my hair cuts have remained rather boring... There was a time back in grade 3 when my grandma thought it would be great to take me to the hairdressers and ask for a pixie cut for me. Guess what. Boy haircut totally. I was mortified.
Love the new do!I couldn't bring myself to spend too much so I finally got one at Costco. Sounds cheesy I know but I really like the way it works. I can adjust the heat setting too so I don't fry my hair!

Sweetassgal you look radiant and incredible! I love the shorter length on you, it's very becoming. And Meg, oh my gosh - you would look INCREDIBLE with a pixie cut! And you know what? If you hate it then you can always wear a wig. Really, it's only hair - why not experiment and have a little fun now and then? :D
Your hair looks fabulous! It suits you better and you look more polished and sophisticated. You're ready to take on the world with that hair cut!
Love the new haircut, very chic :) I do love your natural curly hair as well. I went to the hairdresser today, but only cut it the same way as I had it before (the short red hair in my avatar). I usually change my hairstyle quite often though but I have been wearing it this short for a couple of months now and really love it.
You look AMAZING!! Great color as well!! I so need a change with my hair. Im a chicken when it comes to cuts!!
I love your new hair, it looks absolutely gorgeous!!
great looking hairstyle, and you seem to be very happy with it :)i also love your previous look- not a lot of people have a head full of gorgeous long curls.
You look amazing! I was a little said when I saw the straight hair because I LOVE curly hair and I wish my hair wasn't straight but it's great that you can wear it both ways! I regularly grow my hair out really long and then get really frustrated and grow it all out. I can't even count how many hairdressers I've had to actually talk into cutting my hair off. It's pretty long right now and about ready to go short again. I'm thinking of a pixie cut to. What do you think?I really wanted to cut my hair like Sienna Miller was sporting a couple years ago when she was in Factory Girl. It's so cute!
Awesome transformation! How did they make it look so good straight? YOu look AMAZING!!
Wow, beautiful!
I loved the "before"-look too, because I'm just a sucker for long hair, but this new cut and length make you look so young and fresh! Amazing!!
Make up your beauty-full mind...www.myspace.com/blackdivaworld

Gorgeous makeover!! I love makeover stories. I personally constantly grow my hair out real long then wack it off higher then chin length. Currenty I'm in the growing stage.

You look like two different people in the pics. I loved the curly look, but the sleek and straight look is also fabulous. I love naturally curly hair, it's beautiful, but having options is also great :)I think you'd look fab with short hair Meg. You could definitely pull it off.
