STILA'S CONVERTIBLE COLOR
MissRo here! There are some days when I want to where a full face of makeup and other days I can't even be bothered. Well, this morning was one of those days. After a weekend of looking glam to celebrate my birthday...yup, it was my birthday on Sunday! We celebrated me turning 30 again for the sixth year in a row. Ha, ha! Whatever it takes to stay young and youthful. Any who, so this morning I really didn't want to fuss with too much makeup, but at the same time I wasn't going to take 20 - 30 to do a whole face. So, what's a girl to do?
Well, enter Stila's Convertible Color. It's blush and lipstick in one! Dab a little on your cheeks and a little on your lips and you're good to go. I usually add to this by curling my eyelashes and brushing my brows in place with Anastasia's Brow gel. The Convertible Color comes in nine shades. My two favorites are Gladiola and Camellia.
So, next time when you are not in the mood to do your makeup, but you know you need a little something before walking out the door, grab your Convertible Color. Or, if you are grabbing drinks after work and need to freshen up, dab your cheeks and lips and you'll look like you just did a fresh face if makeup.
You can purchase Stila's Convertible Color at your neighborhood Sephora or on their website.

It's blush and lipstick in one! Dab a little on your cheeks and a little on your lips and you're good to go.My grandmother used to use her lipstick as 'rogue' as she called it! Thanks for the nice memory of that.
Happy B-day and wishing you THE most beautiful year ever!!!5 minutes??? Well...I'd do a quick once over with Mac's Studio Fix,line my eyes with black pencil and a swipe of mascara, red lippy, and KILLER sunglasses! :)Stila in "Poppy" has been in my vanity forever,it's a great product and lasts that long!
No way?! I am wearing this in peony with L'Oreal True match Blush in peach right now!! It's a mini one from the Stila Travel set :). I like to use a stippling brush (Studio Tools duo fiber brush - $2 at Target) and use a powder blush over it so the color stays all day. To me, it makes a really boring lipcolor.... 5 minute makeup routine? Its usually all or nothing (or halfway) for me.
my 5 minute routine is a quick dusting of mineral foundation, blush, a coat of mascara, and then lipstick and/or gloss. i've been meaning to check out the stila convertible color but always forget because there are so many brands to check out at sephora.

Ooh, it comes in such pretty shades. I've definitely used a lipstick as blush before in a pinch.I couldn't really do a 5-minute routine, I don't think! :P I guess bare minimum would be filling in my brows, a quick sweep of neutral eyeshadow, blush, concealer under the eyes, and lipstick or gloss on the way out the door :)
I also used to do a quick double duty with a bronzy swipe on my cheeks, across both eyelids and a touch of gloss and I was out the door. I'd hit a few swipes of mascara at a stop light (NOT while driving) and I was out the door in seconds. This stuff sounds GREAT for those who can still use blush. With Rosacea...not really necessary!
Love, hugs and shoes...Angie
I love these things! All of the ones I have I've gotten in sets so the prices have been very reasonable. I have Lillium, which is nice and mellow and I can just slap it on with my fingers, as well as Fuchsia and Orchid (d/c I think) which are more intense and I usually apply with a skunk brush. They all look so nice and and blend really well, I'm a big fan. I don't use them on my lips usually because I have so many lip products I love already, but it does make coordinating easy.
Oh, and my five-minute routine usually consists of mascara and brow pencil, since both my lashes and brows are pretty blond and nearly invisible on their own, and probably some tinted moisturizer, spot concealing if I have any pimples, and some lip gloss. If I have any extra time I would swipe some UDPP in Sin over my lids for a little glow.
5-minute-routine?! No way, lol! At least 10, including foundation, setting/finishing powder, doing my eyebrows, eyeshadow primer, black eyeliner and lipliner. That's the bare minimum. Well, sometimes I manage to do this in less than 10 minutes...but I rather get up earlier than being in a rush in the bathroom.

haha, devildoll, I totally agree! I usually go without eating before I go w/out makeup! (That's why I keep granola bars in my purse...)Hope you had a very happy birthday, MissRo! I got my first Stila Convertible Color in one of those Stila paint can sets and figured that even though I didn't use blush at that point in my life, I could at least use it on my lips. Well, I eventually gathered up my courage and tried it on my cheeks too and it looked fabulous :) I now own three colors (Peony, Fuschia and some other one) and strongly recommend this product! Tarte's cheekstains are also great and I use mine on both lips and cheeks as well.My 5 minute face (if I absolutely only have 5 min): concealer, eyeliner (pencil when I'm in a hurry), mascara and lipgloss.

My grandma use to use lipstick on her cheeks and it always looked strange to me. I don't like the idea of using the same product on my cheeks and lips. My cheeks and my lips totally different parts of my face and they need totally different things IMHO. But if it works for you, keep doing it!!! My 5 min routine takes 30 min. LOL
my 5 minute less is best make-up routine is wash face, moisturize, little eyeliner, little mascara, dab of blush and finish off with a light color lipstick and viola....
I have a couple of these and really love them but I only use them for my cheeks, my lips need a bit more color.
Everytime I tell myself I am going to do a 5 minute makeup, I just keep going, and it turns into my usual 15-20. Which is a lot less than when I really make an effort, then it can go on for hours.
No way! I was just looking at these last night - I kid you not. I was looking at it and wondering what the texture and color payoff was like. I'm not going to buy though because I just bought a Tarte flush cheekstain with the F&F code, and about 70 bucks worth of Juice Beauty at the Hautelook sale. So I really really shouldn't spend any more money. That is so weird though that I was looking at Stila Kitten and saw this and wondered about it and then the next day Meg's does a review... Oh and my five minute face consists of foundation, blush, brows and lip color. Well maybe it's more like an eight minute face...
im not big on blush but that is cool. my five minute make up: eyeshadow base with just a little umph, mascara, lipglass, mineralize skinfinish to lightly attempt to even skin tone. probably takes more like 3 mins for me to do. i've gotten pretty good at rush jobs in general.

Miss Ro, I hope you had a wonderful birthday. I haven't seen the Stila convertible color yet, but it sounds good. However, my blush at the current time is Tarte cheek stain. Or sometimes Nars Orgasm, just 'cause I like the name. I know what you mean about sometimes just wanting to do a 5 minute face. I do that with: Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer, blush, eyebrows (because they're invisible), UD's 24-7 glide eye liner pencil and a quick mascara sweep. And out the door I go!

Unfortunately I have alot of those days.If Im tottally lazy it's lipbalm and mascara.Semi lazy: Lipbalm, eyeshadow mascaraThe less done up look: I'll apply my mineral foundation with a minimal coverage brush and eyeshadow, lip gloss or plumper and mascaraDone up! Max coverage foundation, blush, eyeshadow, mascara, lip gloss or plumper, gotta do something with my hair!lol this sounds like a cool product... but is it a gelly type substance. Like a creme blush? I would imagine since its lipstick too. I hate creme blushes!! I hate creme anything!! Only powder and minerals for me!... I have a wierd face OCD thing and the thought of putting somehting creme on my face freaks me out.
Tan is Love
My quick make-up routine consists of Mark Get A Tint in Ivory/Nude, Good Riddance in Fair/Light and Powder Buff in Nude. Then UDPP Sin and (maybe eyeliner) and mascara.
Love and Lipgloss,

I always want these multipurpose products, but most of the time they're not a good match for my oily skin. (sigh) Maybe one day...My quickie face routine usually consists of a quick dusting of Everyday Minerals foundation, eye primer (right now I'm using a sample of Smashbox's eye primer, it works pretty well), MAC's Painterly Paintpot, an ivory-ish shadow all over the lid, a light brown (I'm pale) shadow in the crease, mascara on curled lashes, and some type of gloss. If all goes well, I might add a little liner on my waterline.
I absolutely love products that do more than one thing. I have not tried this yet, however I love Cat Cosmetic's version of this type of product.
Beste Hilsin
EDM powder all over, and blush/bronzer duo to highlight cheek bones. If its maybe a 10 minute routine, I add a lil mascara. and BAM, Im done.but this is pretty much my everyday routine.
I am already in love with the packaging this Coral color is just gorgeous !!!! I love the fact that is a 2 in 1 I guess it's a creamy texture and I love creamy blush...I am going to check the different colors and tell you wich one is my favorit!and the winner is GERBERA (the name is funny cause in french it means "going to threw up"....I know not pretty Classy)

My 5 min routine:Cleaning my face, moisturize, sunblock, conceal my undereye circles, lipgloss. In the morning that means a lot for me cause I'm not really awake until I eat a decent meal so anything that makes it easy it's good to me. I have to try that blush-lipstick combination.
happy birthday! :)I LOVE stila convertible colour, I think stila was the first ...i suppose "expensive" brand (according to the price here) i've ever tried. I love the packaging... and the colour is so pretty!!! But i think i like it better on my lips than face...(it's hard to blend! maybe it's just me).my 5min routine: moisturise with spf, foundation, concealer, blush, eyeliner.

This sounds perfect......I like to be very natural most days! a bit of EDM powder and mascara and eyelash curler--VOILA!!!! But i could add this to my routine and make it look that much better....i will check these out at my next trip to sephora!
i was looking at these last night thinking this would be a great addition to my makeup bag - but in the end stuck with nars. mainly cuz i couldn't tell if i loved the product or the packaging so figured shouldn't make any rash decisions. i'm a dork.my 5 minute face is pretty much the only one i ever wear: mix monistat anti-chaf w/anew alternative day, loreal infallible concealer and pressed powder, joey ny hide and heal where needed, nars the multiple in cannes, mac powersurge eyeliner, curl my lashes, mabelline lash discovery mascara, a swipe of a little #2 pencil to fill in any places on my brows (nope, not kidding), and mac power supply plushglass.... shove it all back in my makeup bag and go go go!
I can not wrap my heard around having lipstick on my face!! haha its sounds funny!!HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Mine is Sept 2 and i will be celebrating my 21st for the 3rd time!!! i cant bring myself to be 23!!! haha
happy birthday! My 5 minute face includes a quick layer of mineral foundation, finishing powder, some blush, liner and mascara.
Happy Birthday! Hope you had a fabulous time! I love dual-use products. It just makes life so much simpler and you know your look is polished and matching.
Happy Birthday MissRo! I love your way of thinking. I've been celebrating 30 for the last 7 years. haha... My 5 minute routing would be foundation, curl my eyelashes, mascara and lipgloss and sunglasses at all time. Voila!I Love Stila, but the convertible colors usually don't work very well on me. The cheeks are usually ok but the lips turn too red or too pink :( But I will check this one my next trip to Sephora and will give it a try.
I love these color convertibles! I have orchid and peony and they are absolutely wonderful. I use orchid as a blush and peony to give me a nude-ish lip. They are both part of my everyday routine. I also use gel eyeliner and concealer and I'm ready to go. I don't have much time every morning but the combination of those four products really help me look finished and ready for the day.
My 5 minute routine never ends up being 5 minutes. I start out with just a little of this or a little of that and before you know it, voila! full face without even realizing it. Like with most things in my life I never know when to quit. For me, the 5 minute face has to end after I've cleansed and moisturized. It's naked face for me, all or nothing. MissRo, I don't care which birth year you are celebrating, you are one beautiful woman.
My 5 minute makeup routine is relatively inclusive actually! I have timed myself and I can do my whole face with EDM foundation, concealer, and blush in exactly five minutes. Most days I skip foundation and blush, and just use some concealer and eyeliner.
Very nice for our non high maintenance makeup wearers or our newbie makeup wearers. My cousin uses something like this, she is 14, her mom only lets her wear a little bit of make up and this is one of them. She adds some brown liner and mascara and she is ready to go!
;) Gloss & Gum <3
This looks beautiful - what a great idea! I must try this, thanks for letting us know MissRo! I'm exactly like you, some days - especially when I'm on holidays - I just want a simple, no fuss makeup look for the day. This looks like it will help me no end and I LOVE Stila. :D
I have this but I mostly use it on lips. I feel like it's always too messy to use on my cheeks and sometimes I get splotchy - all my fault of course, but still, I prefer my blush to be in powder format

Thanks for reminding me about this! I've been lusting after this for years and I would have gotten this earlier if it were available where I live. But now Stila is here in my country and I'm so excited! This is next on my buying list.
Happy Birthday!! :) I've only turned 30 three times so far but I know the feeling. I swear I can't even remember my age anymore... It's not on purpose, I guess I'm just getting older or something. That blush/lipstick looks really cute (loving the colour and decoration of the compact!). I just bought five new lipglosses, but of course I have to go and check their website out anyway. ;)edit: Oh forgot to tell about my five minute routine. If I'm in a hurry I just use a thin layer of base (Everyday minerals base in matte formula) and then some concealer, then I use some neutral blush for both cheeks and eyes, little lipgloss and mascara (always Lumene Sensitive Touch) and I'm ready to go.
Happy birthday!! xDIf I'm really lazy I'll just put on some foundation, mascara and lipbalm. But that rarely happens, I usually do a full face on a daily basis.
Happy Belated BDay :) Hope you had many nice gifts and lots of fun!I usually dont fuss too much with makeup. My skin is oily and makeup melts off anyways, esp during summer. Primer, Foundation, Powder, Blush, Curler, Mascara. If i do eyeshadow, it may take longer. I dont use concealer usually, though I really need to!
Happy birthday!!A 5 minute routine would have to be concealer, dust on foundation powder, simple eyeshadow (usually a taupe) and then a highlighter, mascara, and quick sweep of blush! I usually need more than 5 minutes though!

i used to put lipstick on my cheeks as blush for school performances. if i had this when i was a kid i would have went to TOWN on it haha.
No way could I have a makeup free day. (I always do a full face). I just don't feel right leaving my house, if I haven't applied my foundation, blush, eye shadow, and mascara. The blush / lipstick is a great idea for people who would use it. I personally only wear lip gloss (I have never found a lipstick that looks normal on me).

I dont have a 5 minute make up routine i wish i did!!!! i wear a full face of make up everyday! (sometimes i dont bother with eyeshadow or liner) but everything else is a must!HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! ;)
Happy belated birthday :)I have this in Petunia. It's a really pretty soft pink. I really don't like it as a lip color, but I do like it as a blush. My 5 minute face is pretty simple, a little powder, concealer, bronzer, and some mascara and I'm good to go.
wow! a bush and lipstick product in one? that's awesome!my 5 minute routine is just using a pencil eyeliner under my eye, liquid on the lid, and some mascara. just some eye makeup :)
Since I commute to university every day by bus (it is aggravating but extremely amusing to say the least), my morning routine has to be cut to the bare minimum. Since I strictly stick all natural products, which mostly consist of those minerals I love, I don't exactly have a speedy routine. On a lucky day, I can get: undereye concealer, lip gloss, and a light dusting of colour to even out my skin. My eyelashes are dark and full so I can skip mascara even though I know other girls feel it is an absolute necessity to look put together.Convertible colours aren't really my thing but stila does have some lovely shades to choose from! And those compacts are too cute to boot =)
My five min makeup routine, hmm let me think, lotion with spf of course, concealer under my eyes, mascara and a dab of lipgloss and I'm good to go!!
My 5 min routine is a swipe of pink polish on my nails and black mascara. Easy and put together
