Meg here! I feel like I know so many of you personally, through all of your comments and insights and flipping hysterical stories. In reality, I don't know you beyond your clever avatars and personal page profiles. I would love it if I could have a glass of wine with you, we could talk and then I'd show you my new gloss. We could then have another glass of wine and you could show me your eyeshadow. That would be fun! We could have two more glasses of wine and talk about that son of a bitch that's driving you crazy and what that manipulative whore did behind your back!

Well, we are doing something spectacular! We are going to be giving it a test run trip first. We're going to see how it goes on our fact finding mission and then next year-We are inviting all of you! For the first time myself, Goddess Granny, Sweetassgal, Stylemama and Jeanasina are going to be meeting face to face! It was more then a bummer that Gigi, Katie, Tantejoan and Sharond were unable to make this get-away but they will be there in spirit and are going to make the next one! Eleni, MissRo and our brilliant director Megken (poor megken:)are joining us and filming all of the highlights so you can be there with us too! (Without the 5 glasses of Pinot and the whore that did you wrong story-next trip-promise)
Friday we will be meeting in Los Angeles and then heading to the central coast-San Luis Obispo-to be exact. We are heading to the land of wineries! How are we going to bond without thousands of grapes nearby? We have picked Donati Family Vineyard! Not only are their wines amazing but their vineyard is fabulous! We are going to bring you total inside wine info and footage and get you all familiar with this family so when you see them next year you give them a big, sloppy, drunk hug!
We will not be driving around wine country (that's just bad news.) We needed a place to stay. We needed it to be pink-everywhere. We needed each room to be different. We needed it to be over the top fabulous. We needed a cross between Barbie's Dream Mansion and an acid trip.
Ta-dah!! We will be staying Friday-Monday at...THE MADONNA INN! You guys have to check this place out! It's fab-u-lous! Check out the room grid and let me know who wants The Caveman Room or if you'd prefer The Madonna Suite. I mean come on! Have you ever seen a Steakhouse that screams Megsmakeup.com as much as this one?
We will be filming and writing and working hard scouting out if this is The Place for a www.megsmakeup.com retreat. It's a bit off the beaten path but um...So are we?
What are your thoughts? Has anyone been to The Central Coast and would like to offer some tips? Is this a place you'd have any interest visiting? Would you like a get-away where we all get to just be awesome together?

Ohh my god, that place looks amazing!! You ladies are going to have the best time ever, I am so jealous!!!! It would be so awesome to share a (couple of) bottles with you ladies!I've never been to Cali, but if you ever wanna head back to the east coast you know there are some fabulous wineries on Long Island!Have a blast and I cannot wait to see the videos!

this sounds like too much fun! i already know that meg&co are going to have a fun trip. i've been through the central coast but didn't really make any big stops except in Solvang which is the cutest Danish town. The Madonna Inn looks like it has Megs Makeup name all over it. It's so pink and I love that. How fantastic would it be to have everyone come to a little retreat?! Drinking, girl talk, and of course makeup talk. It seems unreal!

I live near Fresno, Central Valley, I point my car toward the coast and Voila, San Luis Obispo, I LOVE IT THERE. I have been there many times, I stayed at the San Luis Hotel bc the Madonna was a bit out of my price range. I have relatives close to that area, did I mention I love it there, it feels like home . I went to a Wedding in Atascadero, they were doing the Madonna Inn for their honeymoon, we drove by, it is BEAUTIFUL. All Big, Beautiful, and Pink Flash. I think the Madonna Inn says "Megs Make Up" for sure. The Central Coast is beautiful. You picked a winner with that area. My BF and I went to wine country, SF, and Yosemite. We had a lot of fun. Our idea of camping was a hotel with a free breakfast buffet in the a.m. and a live band and dancing in the p.m. It was all Good.
Oh WOW! the Madonna inn looks like something from a fairytale!!!!! I don't think theres any "hotels or inns" that looks remotely similar to something as grandiose around here. *jealous*. This is definitely somewhere i would like to go when i go to L.A. .. some day.I think this is an exciting idea!!!! i can't wait to see the footage and entries for those :D have a fantastical time!!

I've always wanted to go over the sea and experience U.S. A place like the Madonna Inn seems like the perfect place to start, an American Dream come to life. No where else in the world could you find something like that.Have fun, and fill us in on what the food and beds are like. ;)

You know, I think the is where "The Girls Next Door" stayed on one of the episodes! I hate to admit, but I loved that show! Anyways, I think that is a fantastic way to spend some "Girl" time!!! Have fun ladies! :)
First of all, I think this is the best idea ever!! I love the fact, that megsmakeup.com is growing together so strong and is about to become a real "community family of makeup addicts", lol. The place where you're gonna stay looks truly amazing, and although I've never been to the Central Coast yet, I bet you'll have a ball there!I really can't wait for next year and I'm all excited about the fact that we're leaving cyberspace and really getting to know each other!!!!

I can't even BEGIN to tell you ladies HOW excited I am for this trip! I feel like each of these wonderful ladies (and Ken too) are soul sisters in makeup and in supporting other woman. My only worry is getting a word in edgewise because once we all get ta yackin'....well you can only imagine! I have special pink shoes picked out just for the occasion and even got a new do! I promise to have a blast and report back EVERYTHING! More than anything I'm just thrilled to meet Meg and hug her in person for all of the joy she has brought to our lives!Madonna Inn and DOnoti Winery...here we come!!!!!!!! I can't wait to sleep in the Victorian room...PINK AND FLOWERY...just like me!

We conceived our first child at the Madonna Inn. On my birthday!TRUE story! We went back the following year for our anniversary with said child! She wa uimpressed. I would love to go back. Have a wonderful time.
I can't wait for the weekend! Meg has ordered me to be dressed in pink throughout the trip, I think that she's developing a matching outfit obsession.I guess that a matching outfit obsession is a bit healthier than a "I want my outfit to match the decoration of the room" obsession. Cause that's what's been going on till now.I want you girls to know that the fact that the Madonna Inn has a pink steakhouse played a huge part in Megan's decision to pick it as our destination.Meg has worked really hard to make this trip happen, wear pink, make her happy.

that place is amazing! it's pretty close to where I live so i definitely want to stay there sometime. These suites are so unique, no other hotel is like it! This is a great place for a getaway.

I am already giddy I swear I cannot WAIT to get the plane to LA!!!It will truly be fabulous and fun and I'm all in for the next time for sure!I think we should have SEVERAL "Ultimate Slumer Parties" throughout the US and I volunteer one right here in TEXAS as well! :)I cannot wear pink the entire weekend...I will spontaneously combust from the sweetness,HAHAHA! OMG...I am so jealous! I think this hotel might have been shown on one of the episodes of the girls next door (hugh hefners show).....anyone know? I remember an episode for one of the girls bdays they all went and stayed in a hotel that looks incredibly similar to this one (one of them stayed in a room that looked like the rock bottom room) and then they ate at a steakhouse in it! I wonder if this is the hotel...i'm going to check the shows website and see if i can find out! I would so want to stay at the lucky rock or sky room :)I hope you all have a great time and maybe soon you can do an east coast get together....LOL :)have fun bunnies!!!!

Just got my pink dress this afternoon! It is PINK, really pink-can't wait to wear it! We've all been so excited about this it's hard to believe we will finally be together in just a few short days! Can you imagine how fantastic a full on convention would be next year? I love the way you think Meg (always have). There are so many amazing women on this site, can you even imagine it? wow

SHUT UP! That steakhouse is fabulous! I feel like the SATC sequel needs to be filmed just in that room. The whole movie! God my gay interior designer friend would be so proud of the person who designed this room! WOW! And this whole post really makes me wanna join the Wine of the Month Club again...one day I will after I pay off the bachelor's in Journalism degree I've got. My roomie and I my senior year were in the WOMC and loved our two bottles of wine for $30 each month. We had an entire weekend just devoted to making the recipes included, clinking the free glasses they sent us with the order and watching SATC marathons until we polished off the bottle. Oh how I miss college sometimes!

I am beyond the word excited for this event! Today I got a lovely pedicure in a sweet shade of pink and my fingernails done up in a sweet pink french manicure! I NEVER do this so it was pure bliss to have my hands and feet pampered! I have been combing the stores for a special PINK dress for this event and here in Minnesota it was difficult to find because all the stores are strictly displaying fall and winter outfits! I think my final dress choice will be just right! This trip is so exciting for me - to actually be meeting Meg and some of the Megettes at this mind- blowingly beautiful pink Spa!!!!! For me it's a Ripley's Believe It or Not event! I never go anywhere and to team up for this event with these amazing women...well it's just off the charts excitement for me! I looked at the photos of the spa - well I look at them like every 30 minutes and am just like an elderly cinderella going to the ball in a pretty pink dress elated! My anticipation is making my heart pound like crazy - I probably should be wearing a heart monitor! LOL! I'll be the oldest Megette at this event so I told the girls it will be like having their moms along - hopefully they all like their moms! :) Let me say one last word...YIPPIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
