L'OREAL'S NEW COLLAGEN MOISTURE FILLER!
Jeanasina here! Rumpelstiltskin was probably a good candidate for L'Oreal's new COLLAGEN Moisture Filler! I'm not sure, but if somebody back in storybook times named their child Rumpelstiltskin, it was probably because there was some seriously rumpled up skin on the child!
When you just read the word Rumpelstiltskin, for SURE, your immediate mind image was not pretty right? The creature I envision was born with
saggy pockets of skin all over his face - one nasty face indeed! Well L'Oreal has come out with a new line of product called Collagen Moisture Filler! I bet they have been testing it on the rumple guy himself! His face could probably endure YEARS of testing! I have been watching their compelling ads on the television. As a matter of fact, every time this ad comes on the TV I have to stop and watch it! I know it is absolutely crazy of me to think that THIS time, THIS product will bring me back my lost Collagen! But honey, I start to believe!! I zero in on every sentence they are using to convince me that this stuff is going to WORK! YES LADIES!!! THIS TIME IT'S GONNA WORK! I'm hoping that, probably, after about three days of using this cream, my own friend's will barely be able to recognize me! It's going to work THIS TIME right?!
Ok, so this is going to be happening right now while you are reading this...it will almost be like you are here! Going into the bathroom now and going toward this miracle working, loose skin tightening MIRACLE in a purple container! Talk amongst yourselves until I get back. If you hear me yell or scream, it will ONLY be because I put this cream on my face and then turned and looked into the mirror and was YOUNG again...with FIRM skin again! THEN, and only THEN will I be screaming the brand name of this particular cream I'm about to try and saying YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO BUY THIS!
So...I'm back! I bet you hardly recognized me right? I bet you are just dying to ask me what I have done to my face! Does it look tight yet? You know, on the down side, IF this COLLAGEN really makes your skin get tight again (just watch the commercial!) Anyway...if this COLLAGEN really makes your skin get tight – WHAT IF something went haywire with one of the batches of COLLAGEN cream because the plant hired a diabolical potion maker who tampered with one of the batches of COLLAGEN and he didn't put any 'use by' date on it so maybe, just maybe THAT batch will OVERTIGHTEN your skin! How creepy would THAT be? I'm sure that's not going to happen to anybody any of us right?
So the moisturizer smells really nice! I massaged it into my face in a sensual manner so the vibes that this is going to be an INCREDIBLE experience for my face came across to my skin! I loved gliding it into my face! It was a pleasure to put it on my skin! That's a good sign isn't it?
The box says “VISIBLE RESULTS IMMEDIATELY: skin is hydrated for 24 hours” I keep feeling my face and I think that could be true. AFTER ONE WEEK: “Skin appears healthier in 96% of women”! So ladies, I think I should let this stuff ride my face for a week and THEN – mirror scrutiny time and following report!
I wonder if the sound of the “restoration of my skin's cushion” and the “smoothing of my wrinkles” will keep me awake tonight!? It would be super creepy if I could 'hear' it working! You gotta love an off the wall review now and then right?

wow. that is so cool. something i want to try!
Don't need it, but L'Oreal is one of my all time favorite brands! Sounds like collagen is super important!
Jean, your articles are riveting and I HAVE to read them as soon as I see them. Be sure to let us know how the face cream worked!
hmmm I'm very tempted since gravity isn't too kind to mebutI think shea butter is one of the ingredients, and I don't think I want to risk putting that on my already-oily face.
Your review alone makes me want to run out and buy this stuff!!! I love your sense of humor Jeanasina, I gotta love anyone that can work "Rumpelstiltskin" into a review. Maybe you can do Rapunzel next time when you do a hair review? LOL.PLEASE let us know when your Harley man asks you "who are you and what have you done with my wife". LOLPlease keep us posted.
Do they make an eye cream version or is this safe to use around the eyes? That would be killer.
Oh Jeanasina, I love your reviews. Time for another sorry admission. I read makeup reviews and cook books like some people read pornography - my cousin crashed with me for a while, and was astonished at the ooh's and aah's and OMG's that accompany all the fabulous descriptions of eye-shadow palettes, lipsticks, products etc etc. She assured me I could moonlight on a sex chat line so long as I had Meg's in front of me. I thought you were going to pull one of the 'by the magic of tv' specials and fast forward us a week to tadaa - the results. Ya left me hanging!!! Can't wait for the follow up.....

Thanks for the lovely review!
Hahaha, great review Jeanasina - I'm hoping your skin isn't over tightened after the week's trial! Best of luck with it all, I know whenever I'm suckered into trying a new moisturiser or beauty product that claims all of these outlandish things I really really want it to work as well. Here's hoping it comes through with the goods!
Jeana...I do hope this WILL be your "Holy Grail" of de-wrinklers!!! They are sure lucky to have you writing about them in such a delightful way! :)I'm not a fan of this line MOSTLY because their products all seem to be very highly fragranced which can wreck havoc with me in more than one way.I'm also of the opinion that few "topicals" really do all that much long-term except smell and feel lovely on our skin...alas...although a recent study DOES show that injectables like Restalayne can be applied on the surface and minor improvements will occur.I love to slather it all on as well but NO one can describe this process like you do! You describe an experience that is likened to....well....an orgasmatic event,HAHAHA!I do think however that their range of products is mind-boggling and if anyone can take a little jar of cream and make it into a magic potion,YOU are that girl,LOL! Waiting by the phone for the test results...:)
I wonder if this would help my fine lines and dry skin under my eyes? I feel like everyone has these types of products now and the amount of them on the shelf at Target is mind boggling. I usually end up walking out with nothing in my hands because I am so confused by all of the products. I can't wait to see a followup on how this product worked for you!
LmAo-your one funny broad-anytime my mother watches those ads my dad annoys her by saying"lies all lies" and she's like shut up.She finds neals yard remedies frankincense nourishing cream amazing-she says she really saw good results with it.By the way I've been using the murad serum meg sent me and it's a miracle potion-I think it's making my skin superhuman-which is what you want in a face serum(I don't ask for much)-just to glow like a semi-deiety.

funny review... and i would just wait for a few weeks and see it this stuff works. i am pretty skeptical of all ads, but i do believe in honest reviews, like yours :)
I agree withfaith24, I believe the reviews I read here at Megs...I am very skeptical of the ads. This was a great review!
thank you for sharing this!
great article! I've never actually tried any of the day/night creams, mainly because i don't want to be reliant on them, i'm still young so i guess i'll skip until i age and my skin gets wrinkly. my mum is 50 and i'm still surprised by how firm and smooth her skin is, and she never uses any sort of cream a part to just moisturise. I hope it's inheritable!

I have seen the ads. It is very convincing. I can't wait to hear what you think of it after a week. I know I'm still probably too young to use products like this. But I don't think I could ever be too informed. If I educate and inform my self about products like this when I'm young, by the time I need to use these products I will hopefully be well prepared. I think that is a really smart thing to do.
My moms used this, didnt work for her. But she has really young skin, and she wants it younger. So maybe it is working, but not as well as she wants it to work.
JEANASINAI am so disapointed(lol) that we don't know the answer yet...does THIS ONE WORKS? I hope you are going to give us an UPDATE soooon lol I want a MIRACLE !!!!! =)

yes this product work make skin tight ????
Good Morning Lovely Women of Megville! I am going to use this product for the rest of the week and after one week I will come back and write my follow-up to let you know if I think it did anything! Thanks for all your responses and have a lovely skinned day! :)
Jeanasina!
Wow, that product sounds too good to be true! Keep us posted on the results, I'd love for my mom and dad to use this!
You know, if this against all sense and reason should work, it might just be worth investing in a jar to keep my skin looking young and smooth. Though, as you so aptly write, it does sound too good to be true.I'll be looking forward to the next part of the review.
This sounds promising. Can't wait till you share your reviews
ah as someone else who is over 35 on this list, you can imagine how badly i need something to fill in those pot holes that appear on my face. Just look at my picture, don't you think i need a good filler cream?????If this one works i will be out the door, but i am not expecting and Fatima miracles, call me a cynic. Just keep us posed on your results after a week, please, please, please.I have tried everything except to stop smoking. yeah, i know, but you have to have one vice.dotti.

I am a big fan of L'Oreal's Collagen Filler Targeted Wrinkle Reducer. This is the one that comes in a gray tube. You apply it directly to fine lines and wrinkles, not all over your face. I started using it a couple of months ago, squeezing a tiny line of cream directly onto fine lines like the marionette lines, crows feet, frown lines etc. I started using several new products at that time and my skin was really showing improvement. I started to resent the amount of time it was taking to apply all of these different facial products and the price, so I went back to just night cream. Within a couple of weeks, the improvement I had seen was gone. It was the Collagen Filler! I immediately bought it again and have been using it ever since. It really does decrease the appearance of wrinkles! I actually got a lot of compliments on my skin when I started using this. There is a picture on the back of the box, of before and after results, and I would say my results were similar to what they show. This product gets an A from me, especially for the price: under $20, and it lasts quite a while because you're only applying it to the wrinkle itself. I bought mine at Rite Aid, but here is the website if you want to read details: http://www.lorealparisusa.com

Jeanasina I am curious how this product compares to others you have used?
This really sounds promising-can't wait to see the results!
"ah as someone else who is over 35 on this list, you can imagine how badly i need something to fill in those pot holes that appear on my face. Just look at my picture, don't you think i need a good filler cream?????"hahah lol!!looks like it might be worth a try for me too, i have ok skin but it is getting annoying wrinkles now around the eyes.
makeup makeup makeup!!!!!!!
I don’t need this product (yet) but I will be looking forward to reading your review in a week or so. My mom has started complaining about her wrinkles/skin sagging and I want to buy her something for her b-day, since I know she won’t buy it for herself.

Please let us know how the product turns out! Keeping my fingers crossed this is a great product for you. I've started to come to the age where the fine lines around my eyes are beginning to slowly but surely look more like wrinkles. I'm trying to find something that would help with that, but so far I haven't had much success... Perhaps I just have to learn to live with them, but I don't want to! lol
This product sounds great, especially if you can see results after a week. Any updates?

Results after a week? I will have to tell my MomMom about it! She's always trying new wrinkle creams. And perhaps it's time for me at 24 to take the plunge and start using some preventative creams...right?
This seems like it would work well for mature women. I love their products for age prevention now.
Luckily, I haven't really started to age a lot, a lot. I don't have any huge wrinkles or sagging yet. Yet, being the key word. I'm still trying to battle acne, unfortunately. I love the way a lot of these different fillers and moisturizers sound, but I'm pretty oily and they usually break me out worse.
J although I am only 20 and don't need this stuff the way you write these reviews makes me want to run out and buy it.. I read this even though I clearly don't need to..thankx for giving us all the info before we buy!
;) Gloss & Gum <3
I refuse to buy anything from l'oreal. I find them to be a very unethical company. I do not like their stand on animal testing and I am VERY angry with their marketing for their new "natural" haircare products. I cannot stand when a company uses unethical marketing.
Do drugstore skin products really work well?
hmmm i haven't really ever used any sort of cream before, probably becauase i feel like i'm still a bit on the young side and maybe i can hold off a bit longer before the need to use cream comes in.however, i do think it's a possibility for my mom to use it... her skin is kind of poor, because she doesn't pay as much attention to it. it might be a good present :)keep us updated, and thanks bunches for the awesome and FUNNY review!
xoxo
indi that sounds great its very rare that the before/aft3er shots on the box are the results we actually see when we use it at home!i dont really need anti wrinkle cream as of yet but when i do i will keep that in mind!i am interested to see your updated review jeanasina after a weeks use.
I cannot wait to hear how this works. As one of the older girls here at Meg's I am always looking for something that will tune up/turn back, tighten, you name it.Looking forward to your testimony next week.Thanks.
Good Morning from the Jeanasina Facial Testing Laboratory! Ok ladies...here's my personal scoop. Cher is not going to be singing “If I could turn back time..” about L'Oreal's new COLLAGEN Moisture Filler. I have to say I'm not seeing any miracles happening over here and I definitely cannot bounce a quarter off of my face after using this product for a week. I don't feel like this cream is doing anything for my skin – and it's going back to Target today! I think many of the creams I currently use do better things for my skin than this product does. I was very hopeful as I always am when I try a new cream but in reality, in a word, my feelings about this cream are 'eh'. I guess for about $16.00 I shouldn't have expected a total miracle but...it could have happened right? I went into my closet and got out my 'bin' of skin creams from past lives and gave them another shot. I'm just going to use what I have used in the past and nurture my facial skin that way even if it still means my face isn't going to be as taught as my ironing board cover is on my ironing board! But you have to know...I'm still going to be hopeful there is something out there, other than surgery that will elasticize my skin again! I felt this cream did as much as applying hand lotion to my face would – some moisture but definitely didn't feel the WOW factor each morning when I looked into the mirror and I faithfully used it twice a day! Oh, and I do have to agree with mjsred that the L'Oreal products do tend to have a bit of a strong fragrance. That doesn't both me but I can see how it might bring on an instant fragrance assault to your senses IF you have problems with strong scents! Till next time...I'll just keep these old snap clothespins clasped around my chin to keep my face looking nice and tight!
Jeanasina!
Thanks for the update, and sorry that this one did not work out. I am also always on the look out for the holy grail of skin creams that will erase all signs of aging. Guess we'll have to keep looking...
Not so fond of the strong fragrances L'Oreal uses,. but I love anything with collagen in it and I have a friend who works at L'Oreal Paris so I could probably hit her up for samples. What are friends for, right?... joking of course.
