GODDESS C.A.T. EYES AND CHEEKS!

Here's Stylemama! Bringing you her new Made With Heart and Soul Column on little companies that go the extra mile!
Stylemama here, wanting to know what makes you feel like a goddess? Do you achieve goddess status once you’ve spent enough time primping, finding the perfect outfit, or the sexiest shoes? Or is it more of an internal transformation for you? Seeing yourself reflected in the eyes of your lover? Or is it about experiencing unconditional love given and received by your children or a beloved pet? Could it happen when you accomplish something you never thought possible? Or are you like me and respond, “all of the above baby”! I crave balance, I need a little bit from each category. Stylepapa tells me that I need a little bit from each of The Five Love Languages too. Equal parts in each category, balance or greed? Hmmmm, I don’t know; I think now is the perfect time to bring up the makeup!
One thing I know FOR SURE, Ifeanyi Chijindu from Goddess C.A.T encourages each one of us to find our inner goddess and let it shine. Shine on sisters!
I recently had the opportunity to sample two more products from their enticing line. The blush they sent has become a staple item in my beauty bag, Goddess Glow Blush in Nile Kiss. It’s a beautiful coral-y color with a tinge of luminescence thrown in to really make you, well, glow. It ‘s the perfect pick me up when you don’t feel like a full face of makeup but can’t stand to run around completely naked face. It also delivers just as beautifully on a fully dressed face. So far, every time I’ve put on something from Goddess CAT my sweet, observant Stylepapa has taken notice. Oh wait, the man hardly notices whether or not I’ve even brushed my teeth, so this is really saying something.
On to the eyes, they are the mirrors of the soul, so let’s not neglect the chance to expertly frame them. I received the Goddess C.A.T. MesmerEyes shadow in Sandal. This is a beautiful golden-taupe neutral shade with a fair amount of shimmer. It’s a great highlighter shade, but wouldn’t be my go to pick for day. Lately, I’ve avoided any daytime shimmer. Is it my quickly approaching 36th birthday or does eye shimmer slowly become the enemy for a day look? I think this would be great for the younger MegHeads or for those of you that aren’t developing fine lines at the same sad rate as I am.
I prefer the look and feel of this eye shadow with a primer. But honestly, I can’t think of any shadow I don’t like better when used with a primer. How did we ever live without them? I find myself repeatedly grabbing Sandal for my evening eyes. It really plays them up while achieving that unique play on light that so far all of the Goddess C.A.T. cosmetics have effortlessly accomplished. I’m not sure how they do it, but I’m sure glad they did!
I am taking a guess here, but since I noticed a very simple, clean, and affordable look to the packaging, I’m thinking it was intentional. Take a look at their amazing prices and combine that with the quality product and you can see that they cut cost in exactly the right spot. Sure, I love expensive packaging but NOT more than I love a top quality, affordable product. Mission accomplished, they took an amazing product, streamlined the design and extended the value on to the customer. Why thank you, Ifeanyi we sure appreciate that, love you girl! (Right now, the blush is on sale for $8.95 and the eyeshadow is also on sale for $5.99.)
I must also mention something I didn’t on our last Goddess C.A.T. review. They are not an affiliate or the same company as Cat Cosmetics. We love that company too, but they are not one in the same. That’s okay; there is plenty of cat to go around, and just as much goddess, right?
So tell me, how do you find your inner goddess? What Goddess C.A.T. have you been lucky enough to try?!

I love how the model in the pic looks and the prices are really nice! Also, what a name!!!
what brings out my inner godess? well me of course. I'm ashamed to admit that unless i put my contacts in, put my face on and style my hair, i feel like the ugly duckling who hit every branch in the ugly tree on the way down. It starts with grooming. Nothing feels better than starting with clean hair ready to be styled. Sometimes i prefere a cute little front twist with a side bun and minimal make up and then there are days when i wake up and want to unleash my glamour puss side.My fave look for that is a fresh, dewy base, a sexy pink sheen to my cheeks and a natural eye shadow with flicked out liner teemed with a glossy nude lip. I curl my hair then mess it up and team that with a funky top, skinny jeans and leapoard print stilettos. When i feel i look the best i can, my inner me glows with confidence, which can make people appreciate the "real you".
Ohh Thanks for clarifying. I WAS thinking they were the same company. These prices are very affordable!I honestly think looking good releases my inner goddess. Its definittally not 100 percent of the equation but probably 50. If I look good I feel good. I dont have to be self conscience and I can have fun and show my true colors!I love to goof around and scream and dance and go crazy... But I definittally can't do that looking sub par! Thanks for the review!PS. This model is Gorgeous!
Tan is Love
I haven't tried these products yet but I do CAT rescues (yes, furry meowing cats and kittens) so I love the name. I learned you need 4 things in balance to be happy, Love,Work,Play, and Spirituality in equal parts makes us feel balanced and happy, mine is Love, Play, Work, Spirituality, and Enough Time to PUT ON MY MAKE UP and FIX MY HAIR. Ok so my Guru didn't say Make Up time, but, he's meditating so I am grabbing up my lap top and credit card and going to Goddess Cat. :) LOL, Meow, and Namaste.
The color of the Nile blush is so natural, it is always too hard for me to find a blush that doesnt look too red, pink or orange. I wonder it has a bit of shimmer or sparkle to it?
Another great review stylemama-you were born to do it.I agree with sangus217 and punkeydew ,I really do have to be dolled up to the nines to really feel like myself Im way less self consious when Ive made an effort. That said animals are great they love you just the same no matter how you look on any given day.The golden taupe eye colour eyeshadow and coral coloured blush are exactly the colours I would buy for myself. In fact the blush colour sounds really similar to my nars one only a whole lot less stress on the pocket.
PotionPrincess♥
Omg, thanks for opening my eyes to this lovely company. I just finished checking out their website to see what the company is all about. I love their ethics! They are eco friendly, cruelty-free, no mineral oil or petroleum, and every thing is made in humane conditions. That about sums up everything I look for in a company that I purchase from. Plus, their prices are awesome! I haven't tried anything from them, yet, but I will soon... I'm so excited about this company.I agree that looking good does release my inner goddess, but so does being a nice person and doing good deeds. I hate to say it, but I also feel like a goddess when I am surounded by luxury items. They don't even have to be big items, for example I love using my Burberry umbrella when it rains, wearing my fendi watch, or my Chanel sunnies... I know, it's so superficial, but it feels so good!
It's funny, but i feel my best when i look natural and pure. The days when i feel like i look nice without much help from cosmetics is the days that i feel my best! Maybe it's my age (36)---when there's a day that i get out of the shower and throw my hair up, curl my eyelashes and throw on lip gloss or balm and i think i look good--THOSE ARE MY GODDESS DAYS! I just wish i had more of them!I will tell you that the model they chose for this pic would be perfect and look very natural if not for the eyes! BUT either way she is gorgeous and if these products could make my skin look that good--I would buy it in vats.LOLhope everyone is having a great weekend!
I love the tan of the model in the pic and the cat eyes. This so reminds me of the ancient Egyptian.. Love the Blog :)
I have never heard of Goddess C.A.T. before but I went on thier site and they have the most amazing models..or maybe it the make up on the models, I dunno but I definately placed an order for thier velvet perfection concealor and forbidden fruit lip ambrosia! I will so let you know how good this stuff is when I get it! Thank you Style mama!
;) Gloss & Gum <3
Feeling like a goddess for me isn't related to makeup or clothes..but that helps! I feel the best when I've had a full nights sleep...but also when I'm out walking and the weather is beautiful. Whether its sunshiney and warm or snowflakes are drifting down lazily or the mist is curling through the trees...I feel more alive!I won't be buying from Goddess C.A.T. anytime soon simply because of my TIGHT budget..but just through browsing the site I got an idea of what a great company they are! I thought it was particularly nice how they had makeup tips onsite amongst the products. Really nice for those who are still learning like me :)
A goddess...after a certain event in bed, laying there, basking in the after glow with my hair all ruffled and my lover happily asleep, listening to the gentle rain drops pattering against the window, his heavy breathing...when I walk past a mirror, and see myself and think: I look good...when a stranger walks up and compliments my hair, my hat...or when something says I'm intelligent. As with miraye, it's those moments when I'm just feeling alive, feeling at peace, happy, that makes me feel like a goddess. Make-up does help, of course, at times. Especially so since make-up helps cover those things that cause me to feel insecure and less beautiful.Haven't tried anything from C.A.T. yet. So many things I have not tried! But many of the things definitely land there, on my ever growing list, of must at least try items if I ever get a job and can afford it all. :)
I can't say I've tried any of the Goddess CAT goodies but I do know what makes me feel like a Goddess!Believe it or not it's that soft, sexy feeling of just having a full brazillian wax. Nothing compares to having a hair-free body for me, and I just love feeling slinky and sexy. Team that with a luxurious bubble bath and clean sweet smelling hair and I feel like a Hollywood starlet! ♥
I can't say that I have many goddess days. When I was younger, yes. I agree with the others, though, this model is gorgeous and Oh, so over my head. We must make attempts, however, and this site does help with that tremendously.
Moema....always a Mom first
Hi there! I've got two things to say: 1) Stylemama: I am loving your columns! Keep it up! =)2) My time feeling like a goddess. Ok, so this may seem cheesy, but I don't care, its true! In the mornings (especially when we sleep late) in that time after I wake up but before I get up... when my boyfriend and I snuggle together and the dog and cats come and gives us morning love! Its that feeling of unconditional love and closeness that doesn't have a thing to do with how my hair looks (more often than not its an afro, lol) or whats on my face or in my eyes.
I feel like a goddess when I work out. Each time I get stronger and fitter and more skilled at my exercise, and that makes me feel powerful!
When I was reading this I was really thinking oh man another fabulous product I can't afford but wow those are such great prices. I was looking at the website and the makeup on the model is so inspiring. What makes me feel like a goddess? being pampered :) mani pedi .. the works. When I look great, I feel great :)
Things that make me feel like a goddess:painting my fingernails and toenailsplaying with new eyeshadow lookswearing purplegetting a makeup package in the mail :) wearing my favorite jewelryhaving my bf cook for mereading a good bookcuddling with my catswhen my bf notices I am wearing one of my favorite eyeshadows (lol)when my bf looks at me in the eyes, brushes his hand over my cheek and says "You are so beautiful. I love you."
I totally know what you mean about using shadows with a primer--I just can't imagine NOT doing that anymore!I feel like a goddess when I get a compliment of any kind, really, it's just so sweet when someone takes time out to say something nice!
I've tried the Hello Gorgeous Palette which has four eyeshadows and two blushes
Stylemama, I LOVE your style, chica! Your wonderfully written columns & bubbly enthusiasm never fail to make me smile...keep rockin' it, sweetie! =DAnd please give Stylepapa my kudos and thanks for his kind words as well! You two make an AWESOME team!! ~much love!~
A good long soak in the bath makes me feel like a new person. You can't go past it.It sounds cliche, but being in my track pants, with no makeup on and my boyfriend telling me I look beautiful certainly makes me feel good!! :)
I feel like a goddess when I go running! Especially early in the morning if I go to bed earlier too. It really helps me take my mind off of things. My friend showed me this trail up in the mountains a few months ago about a mile from my house, and I've been going up there at least once a week. The air is so fresh and the view is amazing! Most of the time, I'll have the whole trail to myself if I go early enough. If you're quiet you can see lots of cute animals running around as well. :)
I feel like a goddess when I cook up a storm and my family loves what I cooked! Well, the cooking part certainly doesn't make me feel like a goddess, but when the praises come I do feel like one!
I do have to say that I feel the most like a goddess when I look in the mirror and am happy with what I see, and then my hubby notices, and my loving children notice and say "mommy you look boo-tee-ful" It may sound superficial, but I am usually exhausted from my days that I feel like a zombie, so when i look like i dont feel like a zombie, It makes me feel good! : ) heheh.I also feel that way when I accomplish something that ive always wanted to do! Or when I do work that is appreciated and liked! : ))
I feel like a goddess when I stay on my exercise plan. I love being able to see my body get toned and I think that's beautiful. I also feel like a goddess just by putting on some eye shadow. I love the way a little e/s can change your whole look...for the better of course.I checked out the website and although I like the blush in "Nile Kiss" I really LOVE the blush "Allure."

I agree with what someone else said about the model's pic: it's gorgeous!I've never heard of this brand. That's one thing that I love about this site! There is exposure to so many brands--from drugstore to posh! Awesome!I have to admit that I struggle to find goddess moments...
I was thinking it was the same company too.I haven't actually tried anything from Goddess C.A.T., but that blush sounds absolutely fab. I love anything coral colored, it's probably not the best choice for my skin tone, but I can't help it. I'm addicted. Coral looks great on in the summer whenever I'm a little tan.The eye shadow sounds pretty great too. I say wear a little shimmer if you want to wear shimmer, even during the day time. I'm sure it doesn't look "as bad" as you think it does :P
I agree with you! If you want to rock the shimmer, than go for it! Like you said, it's really isn't as bad as some may think and blending well always makes any eye color look seamless! You mentioned about the coral blush...have you tried layering coral with a pink together? That would look VERY hot on you, I think! ;)

EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU IS A GODDESS IN MY BOOK! (such a lovely book too.......) Your ideas and opinions give a girl a lot of wonderful options-you are all so well rounded-geesh! I really ENJOYED all of your comments and I just realized it created another goddess moment for me! Getting to peak into each and every one of your inner thoughts and feelings and then swinging on over to the bliss of pure makeup talk is just........sigh........perfection! Goddess Moment:check! BrittanyK, you will love this blush even when you are not tan, you would just apply it with a little lighter hand-it is soooo pretty. I have it on right now and totally skipped my bronzer because my face was lit so nicely without it. BUT, I did go a little darker with my mineral foundation today just to see if I could get away with it, the blush made it possible. Rowandamia, the Hello Gorgeous you mentioned comes from Cat Cosmetics, a different brand/company. I feel much love for that line as well!Faith24, it has this awesome sort of shimmer/luminescent quality, a real lighter-upper effect, nothing but real live technical terms coming from me! It is not sparkly, it's hard to explain but so totally wearable. PotionPrincess, it is like Nars, but in my opinion, a hell of a lot better and easier to wear. Very forgiving, easy to layer, and not so glittery looking. I think the Nars color only looks great on people with skin that has the perfect tone and texture to it. That is so not me, yet another reason I love this blush. I can't stand makeup that has the nerve to highlight my many flaws. Thank you very much but I can do that all on my own without spending a dime on makeup; it's called waking up in the morning...... Not that I think any of us should EVER strive for "flawless", that's so unrealistic and a complete waste of time, but come on give a girl a break, right? Big, wet, sloppy kisses to all of you-(Hey, sometimes, I like 'em wet and sloppy, it means you really meant it! Just ask any dog or any man that wants you so bad he's practically devouring you!)Dawn
Awwww thanks for the wet kissies...Right back atcha, honey! You're a Goddess in my book, shewt! :)xoxo
Colie079-Oh, yeah I freakin' love that moment when the dog starts barking, trying to tear down my front door because the UPS man just dropped off another package, total GODDESS MOMENT, oh yeah, I get hot just thinking about it...... BTW, the heat comes from the goods in the pack, not the UPS man. ;)
OMG - I am cracking up! I LOVE the UPS man. He/she is inevitably dropping something good off at the door, since boxes/packages do not contain BILLS! Hmmmm - a long hot bath, getting dolled up for a night on the town, trip to the salon, treating myself to something new always brings out the inner goddess in me. Which reminds me -- I haven't brought out my goddess lately. Great post, stylemama! You are a true gift to the Meglings.
Thank you so much for this, and your reviews are terrific! I love 'smaller' mu companies, and this one seems to have everything- amazing products, low prices, and a great sense of ethics. Definitely bookmarking for further consideration and future purchase!I'm also a woman who feels like a goddess when complimented, especially if it's something unexpected and totally out-of-the-blue. Other times:-When I've accomplished a goal or challenge I've set for myself.-After a long luxurious bath or shower, I like to put a towel down on the bed and just lay on it while a breeze wafts in from the open window. I think the combination of being clean and refreshed along with the smell and feel of the breeze on my skin is fabulous.-After a fabulous hair cut.-Wearing a new piece of clothing for the first time that fits perfectly; be that a new bra or dress or shoes, anything that makes me more aware of myself.-When my fiance stares into my eyes and his pupils dilate.
That makeup looks so pretty! As if a need more makeup companies and products to drool over... Darn this not having money, poor student gig.As for feeling goddessy? All the time! Throwing on a nice dress, heels, and well done makeup. Or lounging in my pj's getting a foot rub from my man. Or even watching my guilty pleasures on tv with my kitty curled up between my ankles snoozing away. It is important to feel like a goddess everyday!
Dawn you had me in hysterical laughter about this particular Goddess Moment:'trying to tear down my front door because the UPS man just dropped off another package, total GODDESS MOMENT, oh yeah, I get hot just thinking about it...... BTW, the heat comes from the goods in the pack, not the UPS man. ;)I know EXACTLY what you mean...My 3 dogs think I'm a goddess even when I'm wearing sweats and have no make-up on - no wonder I love them so much. To have a real Goddess Moment, I have to dig deep - into tubes, tubs, jars....... - I do know where true beauty comes from, and without makeup, and a little effort I simply don't make the grade. These cosmetics look divine - but I can't wear goldy/orangey colours at all. Paleface over here looks ridiculous with all but the lightest of bronzers (the Too-faced set you sent me is FABULOUS - wore some on Saturday and everyone commented I was glowing). I think this is definitely more for people with more olive toned complexions. Your writing is most addictive - can't wait to see more. Much Love
Rie
I knew the Two Faced Set would be perfect for you because it didn't show up on me at all! Thanks love, I feel the exact same way every time I read what you have to say. Your mind is a fantastic place to hang out in! Maybe one day we will meet in person, can you imagine it? sigh.........Dogs, aren't they the greatest gift to mankind? I swear, dogs and well behaved toddlers, it just doesn't get any sweeter than that!
My inner goddess comes out when my makeup looks great and I am wearing an outfit that makes me feel confident. I have MAC Trace Gold and I have to say that brings out a little bit of goddess for a daytime look. Looks great on my cheeks and as an eyeshadow. I just recently turned 30 and I have to say, sparkle shadows for daytime looks just aren't what they used to be. In fact I stay away from sparkly shadows now! I find mattes or sheens look so much better on me. They don't seem to settle into the fine lines on my lids.I need to check this line out, I like the inner goddess in me being out more often. :)
I feel like a goddess when I have managed to wake up before dawn, get breakfast cooked, wake the baby, feed the baby, put toys out for baby, wake husband, put dishes in dishwasher, go back and wake husband again, iron husband's shirt, soothe a crying baby, kiss husband off to work, give snacks to baby, put baby down for nap, wake baby, feed baby, play with baby, start cooking a GRAND supper, soothe crying baby again b/c she's bored, hold baby while cooking, put baby back to play, feed baby, put baby down for second nap, finish cooking, wake baby, feed baby, give snacks to baby while playing with her, bathe baby, clothe and lotion baby, feed baby, put baby to bed, eat, clean house, shower, study, bed......all this while changing 100 diapers.I feel like a goddess when I do this everyday.....because ONLY a goddess could do this everyday!BTW, whatever products the model has on in that pick I want. Her face is beautiful and glowing. I mean it is truly glowing. C.A.T. has some gorgeous makeup colors! I would love to have it all if I could afford it, but with nursing school, baby and husband to feed not much anymore to go around.
A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.
-Coco Chanel
There are lots of things that make me happy, but i agree with sangus, without my make up i feel like an ugly duckling! i cant stand people looking at me when my make up isnt on! so having a big bubble bath and doing my hair and make up is always a great way to make me feel good, the way my fiance treats me makes me feel like a godess and whenever i look at my litttle girl and how polite and kind and considerate she is already (shes not even two yet) and how stunningly beautiful she is i feel amazing (with or without make up) because i grew her! clever me!!!!
sometimes i have perfect days where im just proud of myself and how i look and act and feel and the positivity that flows throughouti also have to add the image for this post is great - i love how her makeup is done!
-Miss Yaya

Their makeup looks stunning! I love reading the reviews on CAT cosmetics. I'm very interested in this brand. As soon as I get some extra cash I think I'm going to get the Hello Gorgeous palette. Those colors are just soo... soft and romantic! LoL. Can't wait!
Wow, that is a BEAUTIFUL picture of the model - bronzy beautiful, just perfect for summer :] I'm really tempted to get something from this brand, as I think it was also the first (or one of them) review I read on Meg's Makeup. (the kabuki brush? or am I dilusional..), but the prices are really just above what I'm able to pay right now. Maybe one day :]
xoxo

I feel like a goddess after a really great yoga session. When my body, my mind and my spirit have all linked up, I feel like I'm a goddess even though I'm hot and my hair is sticking to my sweaty neck in sticky little tendrils and I'm very nearly jelly from exhaustion. I feel like a goddess when my skin is behaving itself and I don't have to wear so much foundation. And I feel like a goddess when I am really, truly happy and I exude a goddess-like serenity and joy that puts me on the top of Mt. Olympus itself. Now if goddess CAT can bottle that then I'll buy the whole line.
iii love the photos the mannequin look like very fresh ... Great Tan !!!
