ELIZABETH MCKAY! WE LOVE A LADY THAT WINS THE FAMILY BEER PONG CHAMPIONSHIP IN PEARLS! WITH 40% OFF!!

Meg here! Enough with the downer that is Dov Charney (and by downer I mean complete idiot!) Let's talk about fashion! Really cool and beautiful pieces. The kind I have had that I paid a fortune for (HI CHANEL) but I know I will have until the day I die! I treasure those few pieces like art and I know once I do die-some lucky girl is going to be handed over a treasure chest of items that will still be in fashion in 2050 as they were in 2000! That is the meaning of classic, timeless and chic fashion taste! So Dov, you can take your sparkly yellow spandex leggings and keep them for all the "beautiful people." When I spent 2k on my quilted Chanel handbag I stared at it with such attention NO ONE ELSE WAS IN THE ROOM! Just me and my Caviar Collection bag. I bought it in 2004-I still carry it EVERYDAY!
Elizabeth McKay is a classy quilted piece! What fun is a timeless piece if they never "take off their skirt and let their hair-down!?" Her pieces have all the elegance of a Lily with the sheer sophistication of Tori but they are all blended with some good ole' Elizabeth whimsy!
These are definite staple pieces. They're not trendy-they're timeless! It may be more then I usually pay but I treat myself once every few months to an item I know that is not only classic but with a few different accessories looks new each time I put it on.
I wear the dress, it doesn't wear me! Her designs are pure East Coast, Gossip Girl and Ladies Who Lunch all wrapped into one! However it is the fun Ladies Who Lunch crowd-you know the type-the 3 martini'er's. The ones that laugh the loudest at themselves and never take anything quite Too Too seriously!
So my friend Heidi Kristoffer let me now that Elizabeth just loves Megheads and how we share the same spirit in style + substance + silliness. She wanted to know if I wanted to let the Megheads know Elizabeth would offer THEM 40% OFF-SHHH 40%!! she is in some of the countries poshest stores and we don't want them to find out about her very generous offer!! THE CODE IS HeidiKristoffer.
That wedding you're worried about wowing in! Elegant Vaca? Meeting Mumsy for the first time? Look no further and pay way less then her well-heeled clientele!
What else could you expect from a gal that wins beer pong in a tunic and killer heels?

I am coveting the Scotland Pink Polka dot dress! What kind of shoes would go with it? I am thinking some strappy beige-ish heels, any other opinons?
Wow wow WOW! 40% off? That's fantastic. Thanks for the hook up, even though I still can't afford anything on my student budget. ;) Elizabeth's dresses are especially gorgeous. I LOVE the Thelma and the Scotland dress. They're classy, simple, and beautiful. And the Virginia dress looks great for a night out. *drool*
This is a great discount. And the Thelma dress is super fab. Too bad she doesn't go up a little more in her sizes. But I give her props for not stopping at a size 8. The designs look like classic Hamptons style. The style kind of puts me in a Grey Gardens mind set. Love the Beales!! I wish that she at sold bags or accessories. Someone will get lucky with this discount!!And yes Meg, classic pieces never go out of style. I totally agree. So even when they are really expensive the key is to project how frequently you would use the item. My guess is that Meg's Chanel bag will break down to pennies a day when all is said and done!
What a wonderful gift! 40% off! Thanks! I'm off to look at all of her lovely pieces right now!
Wow that is a generous discount! The designs are lovely but not really my style. I do admire them though. I'm not really an east coast girl. Actually I've never been to the east coast. If I was planning a trip I'd definitely pick up one of these dresses though.
Meg, you hit he nail on the head with this one. These ARE classic, timeless pieces. I loved the nicole dress. The riverside jacket is BEAUTIFUL. This style of clothing will never be out of fashion. This style is very Kentucky Derby. I just love it. Meg, you look like the model on the website that is modeling the clothes. Just....Beautiful!
A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.

I'm impressed by all the colors and prints things come in! The Gracie Top is beyond cute. I would have a really tough time narrowing down which print, though! Cool brand, never heard of it before but I have a friend who would go NUTS over it--I'll pass this along :)
Ohh, that's nice! I can't afford any of it even with the discount, but I like the Thelma dress, the Bassett Top, the Schuyler skirt, and the Watch Hill skirt. I do love timeless things, especially if they have a bit of a feminine/romantic look to them.

There are some fab pieces in her collection. I would so get the Virginia Dress in hot pink if I could. Even with the 40% off I still can't afford it yet, but hey, maybe someday.I'm glad you still carry your bag if you dropped that much cash on it. That's a big investment. Ps, I'm totally jealous :P
Ooh, the Nicole dress is gorgeous, I love the red and white printed fabric - it has such a great retro look, which I ADORE. Hrm, US$255 for a dress.. /Begins inner monologueEven with 40% off I don't think my student budget can stretch that far. Oh well, at least it's provided me with some much-needed eye-candy for todays school break! Thanks Meg, another great post.PS - I'm jealous about your Chanel bag. Next year when I'm qualified and footloose and fancy-free I will indulge! I promise myself. :]
Ugh why oh why must I be a poor student! A bunch of those items are absolutely gorgeous! I need like ninety percent off before I could afford it..maybe more!
she looks lovely in all these pics
Oooh that Scotland Dress is incredible! : )) Love it! I am alllll about the classic east coast look. Some of american apparel's stuff is incredibly tacky isn't it! LOLI love love love my Prada purse, but since I have children- It's definitely not my everyday purse (if I didn't--- It would!!!!)Classic Classy style is definitely the way to go! : )
Although the pieces on the website look totally classy and "Blair"-y as I like to say it (I'm addicted to Gossip Girl, what can I say?), unfortunately 40% off isn't enough for me to be able to afford the pieces on my unfortunate "starving college student" budget - maybe next time :D
xoxo
Thank you so much for arranging this discount Meg. You are too too generous with all of us. I am also too poor of a student to buy her clothes, but they are all fabulous. I just can't help but smile imaging people playing beer pong in them. I'm glad I'm not the only slightly prissy girl who likes to try to keep up with the boys and beat them at games, although I usually beat them at wii.
Love and Lipgloss,
Kathryn

Wow, she is stunning in those pictures! Thanks for the code! It is so generous :) Unfortunately I just had a major Sephora haul (and I mean major almost to the point of embarrasment eek) so I can't really afford any nice clothes now :(
And I'm totally the same about my Chanel bag: I carry it with pride each day! :) And will continue to carry it for a long time!
Very generous discount indeed. Thank you for that! I had a look at the clothes and they aren't really my style, but I can appreciate how well designed and made they seem to be. The Sand Tunics especially caught my eye. Lovely!
With the new coco chanel movie coming out the virginia dress and Riverside jacket are going to fly out of the store-they are pure coco-elegant and timeless.

I love the "south side" top. It's very chic. 40% is also a great deal. They are still a bit out of my price range, but they look so well made. Thanks.
I really like those clothes! I have been trying to "grow up" my wardrobe lately, but seeing as how I live in the Caribbean for two more years I still clutch onto my board shorts and graphic tees.As an unemployed student these clothes are still out of my price range at 40% off, but I will keep them in mind for after graduation. Thanks!
Very good discount!! Love the Scotland dress!! ANd it all does look very Gossip GIrl style, Blair especially, love that show. lol
I like Scotland dress but it is still too expensive for me even after the generous discount... i love the bright colors she uses to design her outfits, there is a lady that loves to standout in the crowd!
Elizabeth McKay's designs are absolutely gorgeous! Her line is sold in a boutique in my town. I love the timeless styles -- they are very "Jackie-O" esque. The quality and attention to detail in her clothing is top-notch. With the discount, her items are still very pricey. However, any of her dresses are a great investment!
Thank you so much Meg! Living on the west coast, I was not familiar with this brand. I went to the website and fell in love! I just ordered the Nicole dress with the discount (thank you). I really want the Scotland Dress, but I thought it would be easier to wear the Nicole dress to work. Thanks again for introducing me to this brand!
That's such an amazing and generous discount.. and gem, Jackie-O was what immediately popped into my mind! :) It's still a bit much for my freelance-artist wallet right now, but I'll bookmark the site as a line to look into in the future. I'm not very conservative or preppy in how I dress, but they really do look timeless. They're the kind of pieces that I like to mix with more funky items. And those dresses really are just plain FAB.
I love timeless pieces! That's pretty much what Im in the market for theses days.

These clothes are very well made and timeless. I picked up one of her pieces in CT when I was there last. I get a lot of compliments everytime I wear it.I can't wait to see what she does for fall/winter! :)
I really like the Nicole Dress! I would totally buy this if I could try it on first. I'd hate to spend $150 and not like it.
The clothes are beautiful and the discount is great, but as a plus-sized woman I cannot wear the sizes:(
Moema....always a Mom first
40% off!? That's extremely generous. Even some regular department shows don't offer that much of a discount on their products. I love the gossip girl/sunday brunch look. It's chic, sophisticated, fashionable, and beautiful. I will definitely take advantage of this offer!
