REVITALASH DOCUMENTATION!

Meg here! Revitalash has gotten A LOT of buzz from you ladies at Megsmakeup.com!
The overwhelming response were YES-YOU SHOULD BUY THIS!
Since it is pricey and seeing is believing! I have recruited active Megsmakeup member Kellie76 to commit to documenting with some pictures her weekly Revitalash progress!
I am doing this in conjunction with Megken! Um-totally RANDOM you may be thinking to yourself!
Let me explain-because Revitalash was such a success on the lashes they decided to bottle the hair growth serum FOR THE HEAD! OMG! Can you imagine hair growing head treatmeant! Could this be the end of "The Rug" and pricey hair-plug surgery?
Megken, being the good Jewish boy he is, is starting get a little um..thin around the back where the yamulkah covers. Wait a minute!! Maybe I'm on to his "devout Judaism" hmm-covers an impending bald spot HOW CONVENIENT!
He is taking it for the rest of the men (and woman) out there that live in fear of bald patches. He will also document-with pictures his progress.
So be on the look out for how our volunteers are doing!
Pretty exciting stuff right? For Megken and your husband living in fear off a shiny chrome at least!
Have any of you ladies heard any buzz on the Revitalash Hair Conditioner?

I am fascinated to be a part of the Meg's Mammoth Hair project! Me, I am adopting Stylemamma's Women's Rogaine regime to bring new life to my dead eyebrows. So, from Megken's pate to my brows to Kellie's lashes, I can only blush to think what could be next!
I can't wait to see how well this really works, I need some help in a spot or two :)

I'm interested in seeing how well this works, mainly for curiosities sake, more than anything. I think my lashes are pretty nice by themselves, but I guess they could always be better. I'm actually most interested in seeing how it works on megken's hair. That would be awesome if this was proven to work.
I started using the prescription Latisse, which I understood to contain the ingredient that Revitalash was banned from using after Allergan won the copyright. I'm wondering does Revitalash work as well since it lost the right to use the active ingredient? I guess the documentation will show.
Indi
Hi Indi, I've been using Revitalash for a couple of years now. I bought their orignial formula and now use their revised formula. They work equally well and I'm very pleased with the way my lashes and brows look. My brows were a bit thin from over-tweezing, and Revitalash helped me get my fuller brow back!!! How cool is that? The new formula takes about 8-9 weeks to work, but it's definitely worth the wait. Give it a try!! I've been buying it on-line for $90.00.
I'm pretty satisfied with my lashes as they are now, but I'm curious to see how it'll work on brows! Mine are a far cry from the sexy feathery brows that every other woman on the planet seems to be able to grow-- they're wiry and thin and very sparse. Plus I have a scar from a childhood incident running through my left brow where NO hair seems able to grow.
I also have a scar in my left browline! Nothing grows there, that's for sure (except for a wiry-piglike sprout from time to time...ugh!). Did Revitalsh help your brows out? I'd love to know.
Great! I want to see the results. I hope that this product is successful because I would really like to have some.indi: I did not know that about Allergan and Revitalash. Hmmm..... Interesting. It would seem that Revitalash may be a little better. I can't wait to see. :-)
A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.

That's so neat I actually want to try this I could use help in some spot lol. Plus Revitalash is something i've always wanted to try my eyebrows need more help than my lashes but hey if you could have your lashes more fuller and longer and just put mascara on instead of false lashes i'm all for it!
I am very curious to know the answer to Indi's question....I want to try a lash growing product SOOOOO bad. I should have put that in the forum about what products we are currently lemming for! My lashes are pretty nice but I really love loooong lashes...and I don't really like wearing falsies so if this stuff really works, I MUST HAVE IT! Does anyone else here use it?For those using Latisse....how do u like it? The side effect warnings scared me off! Plus...do u have to have like super short lashes to be prescribed this or can anyone get it?
I've heard a lot of great stuff about this; for those of us terrified of using Latisse for fear of eye-color changes, it sounds perfect. My lashes are pretty decent already but because I'm kind of greedy and would like the look of thicker/longer lashes without mascara, I'd probably try it if it worked and wouldn't mess up my eyes in any way.I can't wait to see what the reviewers have to say!
I'm also anxiously awaiting the results! Thank you Kellie and MegKen for being our lab subjects. I am so interested in hearing about what Revitalash could do for my nearly invisible eyebrows. And it wouldn't hurt for my eyelashes to be a bit longer and thicker. TJ- please let us know if the Rogaine helps with your eyebrows. Thanks!
Carole
Great! Cant wait to see the results!

i think i'll try revitalash in my eyebrows since i have some spots from overplucking
I love Revitalash, but can only use it on my eyebrows as it causes itching and burning when used on my lashes. I look forward to seeing the results for the scalp.

So excited for Kellie's review!! I have really spare, stubby little lashes, and recently just discovered the joy of mascara (late, I know). I feel kinda naked without it now. But, if a lash growing product like Revitalash works, I might feel compelled to put down the cash to finally have long lashes! I'm tired of my boyfriend having longer lashes than me. :P
I really wish there were an easy way to get longer lashes :( The only lash growth product I've used was the Ardell one and I'm afraid I can't continue to use it. I wear night hard contacts - I wear them at night so that I don't have to wear them during the day - and it seems like the formula for the Ardell (and, looking at reviews for the others, it'll probably be the same) irritates my eyes when I have it on :\They're also ridiculously expensive!Let us know how the hair growth experiment goes, though. If it goes well I might subtly nudge my dad towards it LOL.

I'm very interested in Latisse. I know that all this eyelash growth hoopla started after the (awesome) side effect of Lumagen- longer lashes in glaucoma patients. I know a lot of people are scared to try it because of the possible darkening of the iris of light colored eyes. I've read up on this a bit, and that only happens in the glaucoma patients when the applied it to the eyeball directly. Since Latisse is applied to the lashline, not the eye itself, the chances are significantly reduced. In the clinical study of Latisse, no one (I think) had the discoloration. I believe that they had to include the disclaimer because of the possibility if it is applied incorrectly. I have brown eyes, so its not a big deal for me =)Since all of these eyelash enhancers have sprouted up recently and Latisse now is the only one allowed to use the active ingredient from the glaucoma medicine, I wonder if these other ones will actually work. I'm very curious to see what will happen in this little experiment!
I have to disagree, I used revitalash before my wedding and saw a difference but stopped when i heard it could darken my green eyes. I have not bought Latisse for the same reason, and i do belive they had some testers have that problem, which is NOT reversible!!! So if it does change the color it will not come back. I have verified this with THREE optomotrists. So I will not be using Latrisse on my lashes as during the night they can easily leak into your eyes. But i would be the first to buy the hair product if it could make my fine hair thicker!!! If you have light eyes just use these products on your eyebrows or now, hair but i would stay away from the lashes it's not worth it.
I totally understand you wanting to protect your green eyes!! I would too! Both of my sisters have crystal blue eyes & they would never go near the stuff- I got stuck with the lovely brown, so like I said, its not an issue for me. =)I think it sucks that the difference in the lashes gradually goes away once you stop but the color change is permanent- no fair!
I'm also very interested to see how this works. One of my aunts has battled breast cancer for nearly 5 years now - she has no eyebrows, very sparse lashes, and her hair has thinned dramatically. Knowing my obsession with all cosmetic things, she asked me for advice. I shall follow all of your progress very carefully, and report back to her. If it does work, she'll be ordering by the boxload....
Rie
sounds interesting but i have used a four dollar Ardell with good results.... not sure if i wanna pay that much more money for revitalash or latisse that could mess with my green eyecolor....
I can't wait for Kellie's review!! I have wanted to try this for some time, I am pretty happy with my lashes but they could be better. I am so excited to here the results!!
I am anxiously awaiting Kellie's review of Revitalash! I have pretty skimpy lashes -- I would love to use a product to give 'em a little oomph.
I hope that Revitalash will give Megken a little boost to his thinning hair. Thank goodness for yammukahs (..or beanies as I like to call them). My good little jewish hubby is well-endowed in the hair department. However, my college ex spent thousands on a hair transplant. It was traumatic to start losing his hair at 18 years old. It's amazing how hair growth technology has progressed over the past 15 years! A conditioner that helps regrow hair - amazing! Good luck Kellie and Megken.
One of my best friends is an esthetician. She told me that her clients and the salon personnel she works with have all RAVED about the product Latisse! She says everybody’s results have been absolutely AMAZING using Latisse on their lashes! It’s apparently the talk of the salon! Recently she went to an event with several other salon people and apparently this product was the #1 buzz topic of discussion! She has a friend who works in a skin care doctor’s office and that friend also said that she uses Latisse product on many patients that come in and all of them have experienced fabulous results! My friend said that some of the people she knows personally have used it on their eyebrows also with good results (even though they don’t suggest using it on your brows). She told me that it works providing you have an eyebrow hair follicle that is not dead. Apparently you use it once a day – just a tiny amount and within 6 weeks it produces a very NOTICIBLE difference! The cost of it she said is around $120.00. My question is…What happens when you stop using it? Is it the same as when you stop using Women’s Rogain on your eyebrows – does all the new growth go away again? It will definitely be of HIGH interest to see how Latisse compares with Revitalish! I will be so excited to see lucky kelly76 and her documented stages of eyelash growth! Awesome that you have the opportunity to try this!!!! I just know you are going to provide excellent feedback one way or the other! I am a definite fan of kelly76 so I’m over here cheering for her eyelashes! I just realized, I don’t think most men would say to another man, “Gee Harvey, I sure hope you get a nice long crop of eyelashes that I can see from across a crowded room!” let alone cheer for a friend who is growing longer lashes! We sisters really appreciate seeing another sister blossom don’t we?I can’t help but wonder; how does the stuff know when to stop making your eyelashes grow? If you never stopped using it, would your eyelashes eventually get to the point of the hair growth on Cousin Itt from the Addams Family? What then? Eye lash comb-overs for balding people? Would it be that you can just comb the newly grown super long eyelashes up and over your forehead and secure them in the back of your head with Velcro? You’d have to allow wiggle room though, so you could still blink and close your eyes when needed. I suppose eventually you'd have to be able to use your tiny flatiron on your eye lashes if they were long enough to sweep over your head - you wouldn't want people laughing and saying you had "bed-head lashes" that day!
If the product works for megken and causes regrowth…I’m thinking there could be a new trend here; especially for really bald men! All the guys with no hair left on your heads…well you could design a pattern on top of your head (sort of like a tattoo outline) and then carefully just apply the Revitalish or other hair growth product there) and create your own hair design on top of your head,! You could even have a goatee on top of or even on the back of your head! I’m talking of course for people with hairloss (not the ones that already just shave their heads because they look good!) The possibilities would be endless!
Jeanasina!
Oh my gosh, Jeanasina! You are just too funny! I've have wanted longer lashes for my whole life! (Ok, maybe just since I started wearing mascara...) I've looked into some of these lash enhancing products. Latisse really scares me, and I would have to be medically in need in order to use it. I do NOT want my eyes permanently darker! (They are brown enough, thank you.) I went to Sephora to examine Tarte's Multipleye. It's $65. I was still going to get it, but the Sephora associates recommended something else: Lipocils by Talika. Two ladies said they really liked it and had nice results. It was $40, so I got that one! It says to use twice a day for 28 days, then once a day for maintenance. I'm only about 2 weeks into it. I did take before pics, so I suppose it's time to take updates. I think I might notice a difference already, but I'm going to wait for the full 28 days to make my decision. It has a mascara wand applicator, so it does make it a little difficult to get onto the skin (company says to apply to skin at lash base and to lashes). I just press it into my lash base holding the wand horizontally, and it has been easier. One can't be too eager, though, for the brush can scratch. Ow! The sad part about all of these products is that continual use is necessary to keep up appearances. When you stop using, your lashes go back to their genetically pre-programmed lenghth. Boo! I like that Talika Lipocils has a "maintenance" prescription--you can cut down to once a day. I'm really interested in seeing the Revitalash results! How fun!
I have been using Latisse for one month and I have definitely noticed a difference! My eyelashes now touch my brow bone, which they were not even close to before. The package says you will see results in 8-12 weeks, but it takes 16 weeks to see full results. So, considering I am only 1/4 of the way to full results, I am thrilled. I paid $92 dollars for Latisse, at Rite Aid. I also read advice from a doctor online to stretch the prescription from a one month supply to last up to 4 months. Used this way Latisse is probably more affordable than the alternatives. I would think Latisse has got to be more effective, considering Rivatalash attempted to retain the legal right to use the ingredients. Here is a link to the doctor recommended technique for making Latisse last longer, I had posted this in Chit Chat when I first read about it:How to make Latisse last & save $$
Indi
Indi, did you get a Rx? Was it easy to get? I have been using Jan Marini (similar to Revitalash) and I noticed results after 2 days!! I have a spot right in the middle of my top lash line where hairs were missing(don't know how that happened) and so I started using this stuff and it literally was a miracle! But it's true that it doesn't last forever when you stop using the product. I have noticed missing hairs on my bottom lid so I am using it again, but want to try Lattise if it works better. On another note: I think I may be losing lashes when I take my wp mascara off, but I can only wear wp mascara cuz as soon as non wp masc goes on my curled lashes the lashes fall right back down. Does not matter which kind I use. Weird tho cuz it didn't do that when I was younger?. Hmm? Anyone know why this is happening?
~belle~
Indi, do you fin the new growth is thicker, or simply longer?
I think they are both thicker and longer. I took a picture before I started and I've been meaning to take another picture and compare, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I am leaving on vacation tomorrow or Sunday for 10 days to Cape Cod, so I will have to report back once I look at the pictures. I will keep you posted. We are sailing there so the weather conditions dictate whether we leave Sat. or Sun., so if I have time tomorrow I will compare pictures and report back.
Indi
Have a great time. I am going to the beach (see the sunscreen story) and will be doing my Women's Rogaine routine on the brows while there. Here's to luxuriant growth to us both!
10 days at the CAPE! OOOHHHHH I'm SO envious! Have a blast and let us know how your growth is when you get back. I'll be stuck in 106 degree Sacramento heat this weekend. THANK GOD I have a pool! I came home yesterday to actually FIND MY DAUGHTER in the poo! It was like heaven to see my kid actually using this thing we've worked so hard to pay for. Kids are funny...they want a pool all their lives then when you get one they kind of get over it. Not me though...I'm a fish!
Love, hugs and shoes...Angie
What I want to know is does it thicken lashes and strenghten them,Im ok on the lenght front but would like them more fluttery.I ve seen some before and after pictures of a product called lil lash that seems to lenghten well but not so sure about the thickness.Exciting news if the conditioner works could this be the end of the dreaded comb over. The donald will be overjoyed.

Thank you for the encouragement and kind words everyone! I am very excited to start doing reviews for the site! I just love Meg, the site, and all of you!! And I am really looking forward to testing this product. I will do my very best to provide you with insightful and unbiased information.
I LOVE that they are creating these products strictly "because" and as we know, many can benefit!I do worry a bit about the accuracy of the testing and long-term effects but in the long run,it's a game of numbers and I'm hoping ALL who try these pharma-miracles have THE most hair-raising results possible!!!Megken is such a cute guinea-pig! ;) Great job kellie and glad to have you!!!
I love it when Megken shares his take on products. In fact, I love it when any man pops in at Meg's period, they bring such unique ideas and perspective. Can't wait to here from Kellie, love that girl! I wonder what would happen if this was placed on the eyebrow area, hmm......Have a blast Indi, your trip sounds heavenly. Sweetass, I hear you honey, 105 degree weather for us too. The pool is a Godsend.
I have not heard anything on this!! But iam excited to see how its works... My dad is getting a little "light" up top .. and i havnt had the guts to tell him yet.. so i just take a little trim off those areas! if it works i can just slap it on him and he would never know the difference!!! =D MUAHAHA <~~~~evil laugh!!!
Okay...I gotta' wedge my hips in here:Mike and I were "cupcaking" last night (what I've been told that staying at home on a Fri night IS with the cooler set,LOL!) and watched one of my FAV moview on "Reels" called "The Usual Suspects..."Need I say more? If you haven't seen this incredible movie get it NOW!!! One of the best ever stories, with plenty of eye-candy (Gabriel Byrne,a YOUNG Benecio Del Toro,a Baldwin...) and an ending that will knock your stilletos off! Seriously...it's a WOW and our own "Megken" had a lot to do with making it happen. ;)
I can't wait to see if this stuff works on Megken. I have a coworker who recently had a hair transplant. Poor guy, he thought that he would be back to work in 4 days, but he ended up with vertigo and took 3 weeks off. He told be if he know how bad it was going to hurt, he wouldn't have done it, and will not recommend it to anyone.
I think it's an awesome idea to have volunteers to document how a product works. I took accutaine when I was younger and I have very thin hair so I'm interested in knowing all there is to know about products for thinning hair.
For cancer patients who have lost eyelashes and eyebrows, the women I know who have used Osmotics FNS system for eyebrows and eyelashes (and their hair proudcts) have found this line to be helpful. You won't get back thick, lush lashes but no one I know finds it irritating. And Osmotics is a lot less expensive. Save the Letisse money until treatment is over and then use it to thicken those new lashes up!!!
Let me get this straight... ya'll are trying this on heads.. to grow hair??The only thing that has steered me away from lash growing products is the chance it could darken your eye color. Oh, and the price! :-)But if this works on head hair.. I will take the plunge and try it!!I can't wait to read the follow ups!
This is....interesting but not something I would try out.Happy Birthday Meg!
ahhhh i really want to try this out :( my lashes are quite long but thin and point straight down. :( ive always envied the girls with lush thick curly lashes :( *sigh* i don't feel like spending so much money on something like this though..
I'm excited to know if this actually works! Although I'm fairly young, I have experienced a less-than-normal amount of hair loss in recent months.
omg this is going to be my next purchase. I lost a lot of hair after pregnancy a i was looking for treatment like this
OMG I need that too I am obessessed with hair loss since my hair areeeeee soooo thin I get paranoid really quickly Hope this works !!!!!

I can't wait to hear how this works out for you! I have short thin Asian eyelashes and would LOVE something that will help them grow! And I could actually afford this, unlike most eyelash enhancing products.
cant wait to see pictures! i have long thick lashes but of course i would love them tpo be longer and thicker- i am a girl its never enough, never slim enough never tanned enough never enough clothes never enough make up-so greedy! ;-)
I'd love to try this! I like my lashes but I'm curious to know if this would make them even better!
