AWAKE EXFOLIZER!

Jeanasina here! Ladies of Megville...my eyes are as big as fried eggs right now a I write this! That's because they are wide AWAKE! It's 9:15 and I'm usually zombifying my way towards my bed around this time, but alas...I have a report to make and I'm not going to fail the troops! This is my lead in to today's topic! The company that makes today's product is called AWAKE and the lovely product I have been becoming acquainted with is their 'exfolizer'!
To quote the company...AWAKE exfolizer is “a dual-purpose toner that uses micro- cellulose fibers to provide gentle exfoliation of dead cells. It lifts off dry dull skin to smooth out texture and increase radiance. Job’s Tear Extract helps smooth the skin while Arginine, an amino acid, and Licorice Extract enhances skin moisture.” “To use: Apply two pumps to a cotton ball and wipe over face and neck. Use twice a day after cleansing. “
This is a beautiful product that comes in a lovely bottle and the cap is a cool green color that makes you think of nature. Even the AWAKE insignia says nature. I was super excited to try this especially since in my lifetime I have never used something called an “exfolizer” on my skin! Oh! I checked out the symbol on the bottle and it's a fern! The company's way of thinking is that they want you to AWAKE to your True Beauty! The symbol on the front is a fern which is unfurling – revealing it's inner beauty! Their products of course are about helping YOU reveal YOUR inner beauty! Alright! Bring it!
The bottle is a generous 3.4 oz. It's just such a classy bottle that you pretty much want to leave it out to impress visiting dignitaries who happen to use your bathroom or vanity. But it's got more going on than just a classy bottle! It's the content ladies that have me raising my eye-brow at the bottle and saying to it “I'm impressed!”
I have been using it every day, x2 since our benefactor Meg, sent it out to us! I didn't expect to care about it or need it. I figured I'd try it for a couple of days and then move on. But...I like it! I like what it does! As soon as I finish wiping my face with the drops on a cotton pad, I marvel at how clear my skin looks! I honestly look forward to using it again! The texture/feel/look of it is slightly kind of milky but mostly clear and it comes out in drops (take your time pumping) which are not totally watery, but not thick either. It's effortless to bring it across your skin on a cotton piece and it's a momentary cool feeling too. I found that it picked up things which were still upon my face that got missed by my cleansing routine! Appalling! So besides being a clarifying serum it seems to zero in on any lingering skin transgressors that are still hanging on and says to them...”You are coming with me!” AWAKE exfolizer is all that!
I just know my face feels extra good when I use this and like I said...I'll continue to use this until it's gone! That's right people! Day after day this woman will be saying to my AWAKE exfolizer...”Come to mama!”
You can purchase it here and you will enjoy checking out their website while you are visiting! There is even a section where you can let them know what your skin concerns are and based on that they can give you their product recommendations! This is a leading cosmetics firm in Japan.

I didn't get this...I got the Awake Sign Revolution Cream. I've been a little on the fence about reviewing it. Its a WONDERFUL cream...don't get me wrong, and I was absolutely humbled to receive it from Meg. But it's $135 an OUNCE! Yes...PER OUNCE! I don't want to fall in love with it and then not afford it. Plus its hard for me to recommend something so expensive when times are tough. The $30 Kumaara primer was tough to choke down right now (even though its a godsend). If this "exfolizer" is anything like the cream then its a HIGH end top notch product. If you've got the dough its a luxury for sure!

I realized I left out part of the important description information which is that it is..."Enriched with Trehalose Extract to protect skin against dehydration, Vitamin E supplies antioxidant benefits, and Lupine Extract to nourish skin and promote a healthy, radiant complexion. Infused with Cypress Oil, Exfolizer will re-energize both the skin and mind." I read that the fragrance is a cypress aroma. I read up a little on cypress wondering why they would pick that particular scent to represent their product. I found out that the Greeks say that cypress clears the mind during stressful times. I also read that termites flock to that smell so better not use it and then lay down on the ground in a wooded area! It's a soft earthy fragrance that evaporates within minutes. The one thing I read over and over is that people really like the smell of cypress! The price is $45.00 a bottle. They do have free shipping if you spend $100.00 and with every order you automatically receive a free travel size of their Sign Revolution Fluid. The best offer on their website is...with a purchase of $125.00 or more, they will send with your order a gift kit worth $95.00 in a zipper case containing 4 of their best products! If you spend $100.00 you get the free shipping and a choice of two samples of their lovely products! I have a hunch that based on the quality of the product I tried and the impressive bottle it is packaged in, that their entire line probably is quite remarkable. However, the prices are a little too remarkable for me so I will look at my time with the exfolizer as having a home visit from a leader in the spa industry in skin care for a few weeks! I do love this product and what it is doing to my skin!
Jeanasina!
Great review Jeanasina! You always make me smile with your wit and humor. Plus you pick somewhat unusual items to review, which I appreciate. This sounds like a dream toner. I really need to awaken my skin, body, and mind these days as everything feels as if it is old, tired, and falling apart. I would love to try this. But I am guessing that I would not spring for it because of the price. Not that I never spring for the expensive stuff. But because of mycurrent financial situation as a struggling student I must careful pick which items I spend more on. For me it is all about finding the balance between the expensive and the affordable. Just like with an investment portfolio I find that the best way to invest in my face is to diversify! So I would gladly give this heavenly sounding product a try. But I would need to truly be convinced of its clarifying and awakening value to include it in my regime(portfolio) on a regular basis.
This does sounds like a dream product. I am going to definitely check it out online. There have been so many good products reviewed lately. It is so hard to prioritize which ones should go to the front of the list.SAG - I so get your point about not wanting to fall in love with something so costly. It is so wonderful that Meg shares all of these great products with her "gang of girls." I would have never found most of these product lines on my own.
I agree - this line sounds amazing! However, I am always hesitant to try something so expensive (like $135/oz face creams) out of fear that I will fall in love with it and not be able to afford to keep buying it. I am currently in love with the Epione Hydrating cream that I got with my points package. I am savoring every last bit of it, since I can't afford to keep buying it :( I am always on the hunt for good quality products that don't break the beauty bank.
This product sounds great, I wish there was a way to try this without shelling out the big bucks.
I'm a big fan of samples before you buy. Its been my experience that if you contact customer service online and request some they generally send you a few. Just slop on the sugar, honey and thank yous! You may have to pay shipping which is minimal but its better than shelling out tons of $ for full sized product.
Love, hugs and shoes...Angie
SAG- I agree completely with your samples philosopy. I really do not like to buy anything blindly and I HATE to return stuff.(I think that is why I got so hooked on Dior. They believe in their products. I got a weeks worth of products for trial. I feel in love. I was 100% dedicated to Dior for years.)
Jeanasina, loved your take on this--I treasure this as well. You look forward to the next time you use it. I don't have that much self-control. I use it again immediately. Suggestion: In this economy, cosmetic companies are hurting. When I was in the drugstore (where else?) actually picking up medications, I noted the Emu oil used to relieve back pain now offers samples for 49 cents. The tubs are cost-prohibitive and they couldn't move it off the shelves. Why not consider writing a group letter to various companies like this one and ask for samples? It's ridiculous for them to expect us to pay a small fortune for something we cannot see, touch, or smell because of shrink wrap. Actually, you'd be surprised at how they respond. When I was the sponsor of the Future Business Leaders of America at a poor school district, I learned at the end of the year that one of my students qualified for the National Competition in California--the stay was for seven days in a five-star hotel and included meals and trips to Disney, Knotsberry Farm, studios, etc. We had relied on fund-raising all year for every penny we needed but it was too late. I made a list of profitable firms in Pittsburgh and wrote a sincere letter explaining the situation. Within two weeks, I had checks for $3,500 sent to me because they believed me. It can be done . . .
Whoops! The Village Idiot forgot to review the product. It's delightful. It refreshes as few others do, energizes, and silkens. Jeanasina, I was amazed at the impurities which were removed after I had cleansed. If I were working now, I'd put some in a secure little body and use it during the day and then reapply my makeup for the pleasure and benefits.
Anything with "AWAKE" in the title is surely something I need. LOL! It sounds wonderful, thank you for sharing

It's really interesting. I might look into getting it :)
"Come to Mama" is RIGHT Jeana!!! You are as delicious as this review and product are! This is a unique and very elegant product to my way of thinking...I was cautious about the scent because I'm so very sensitive although it's lovely but honestly,it performs beautifully and leavs my skin clear and soft! One of my "issues" lately is the VAST variet of products on the market!!! Seriously,I am overwhelmed by the "major players" and when a line such as this comes alone,I tend to forget how effective and spcial it might well be...I'd try their other offerings in small doses because I think the quality is exceptional.
This sounds like heaven in a bottle but I'm afraid I would love it too much. I cringe when I buy my beloved Suki so I can only imagine buying this stuff, Yikes.... Maybe when I win the lottery, then I can buy all these awsome products and some more to share with y'all :)
Sounds like a great product, but I think I'd like to try a sample of he product first. I usually don't use a toner, I wash, moisturize and then I use a special eye cream. I really enjoyed you review
this is great just to wake you up and refresh your skin!
I love toners!! I always use one after cleansing, not sure if they actually do anything but I just loooove the cooling sensation! And Japanese products never fail you... I would love to try this :)
I have been using this product twice a day as directed and am impressed. Even though Awake calls this product a toner, I have been using it as a serum after my regular toner. I have noticed a radiating effect, not dramatic, but slowly. I have sun damage and this appears to be lightening the lighter of the darker spots. This is an excellent product at a decent price, 3.4 ounces for $45. I rate it as a must buy.

Great review. This sounds like a really great product and worth looking into.
My normal every day is Cleanser, Toner, moisterizer.. would that go after the 3 or replace one?!?!? <3
This stuff sounds great! However, as a starving student, it's a bit out of my beauty budget... It's so hard, because I must admit, I'm a beauty snob. Maybe I'll get some of this next year when I go back to work full time.
I work nights and I need something to keep my looking awake. This sounds interesting, I'd definitely consider checking out because it seems pretty fab. I'm always a little hesitant to spend a ton of money on various skin care products though, my skin is very fickle and sometimes the best products cause me to break out. I also always fear that they're not nearly as awesome as everyone claims either.
Hmmmm, this seems interesting!! I will check it out.
This does sound like a great product. So you dont think it irritates Rosacea flare ups?
Sounds great but I hope I don't get it bc I would be addicted and too poor to afford when it runs out!
I wonder how it affects sensitive skin? Also, the price seems a bit high. I would try a sample, though - your review makes it sound attractive.
Ooh yet another thing I missed. I don't have the money to spend to try it but it sounds like a dream product!
i think ive only used a toner a few times... ive tried the little bottles of clinique toners that come with purchases, but thats it. are they really important in a good skin care routine? i dont have the money to buy this particular toner, but maybe i'll try a cheaper one :D
I always use a toner...it makes me feel more clean. I have never heard of toner that helps exfoliate though. That sounds great.
Sounds great.
This product sounds amazing! Unfortunately, it is too expensive.
I'd love to try this. It's too pricey for me though. Maybe once I've found a job ;)
Sounds like this would be a great product for the long studying nights from college to look awake!
Ditto @ Caramel Diva! You wouldn't believe how much homework people get in highschool. I need this! But what exactly does "exfolizer" mean? Sounds like exfoliating... Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask works really well at making my skin look awake. And its like $5. Helps with breakouts too :).
hm... this does sound like a nice product. however, i'm somewhat reluctant to spend so much money on such a small product, however awesome it may be... that is, until i get some income of my own :)
xoxo
Expensive and maybe not necessary but it seems like an awesome product I'd love to try!
