STYLEMAMA'S ELDEST STYLELADY ON HER REVIEW OF GLOP AND GLAM GLITTER GUM-MEDIUM HOLD!
Stylemama here! Yesterday you met my youngest daughter Lizzy, and listened while she dished on the super chic and natural Glop & Glam tween hair care line. G&G says it best, "The hair industry lacks a children's hair care line that truly takes into consideration the desires of both children and their parents." Well not anymore, thank you G&G! Today we welcome Lizzy's older sister, Isabelle. She's here to give us her thoughts on Glop and Glam's Glitter Gum Medium Hold Gel. So, join us as we enter the mind of a soon to be fourth grader, as she uncovers another layer of G&G's wares.
My name is Isabelle and I am nine and a half years old. I do not have a nickname, but if I did it would be Is. I had a really great time working on this review!
Here is what happened when I used the Glitter Gum. First, I took a shower and washed my hair really, really good. Then my mom put Glitter Gum all over my hair, including my bangs. Next we blow dried and flat ironed my hair. I LOVED the way it turned out! It looked even better than when I go to the hair salon. We took pictures so all of you could see. I don't know if you can tell, but I have purple highlights in my hair. My sister and I get colored highlights every summer as a special treat for working hard the whole school year and getting good grades. Last year we had pink!
Just like the name (Glitter Gum) it STICKS. Even after we blow dried my hair it held the same style. Usually after my mom does my hair it doesn't hold the style without hairspray, but this time it did. I don't really like hairspray. I thought the Glitter Gum smelled like mint bubble gum but my sister said it reminded her of a strawberry Jolly Rancher. It smells delicious! It made my mom's hands smell real sweet, I could smell them the whole time she was doing my hair. Even though it has sparkles in the bottle they don't show up in your hair once it's all dry. I thought you should know that so that you don't think that when you put this in your hair you will have a head full of sparkles.
I love all that girly stuff. When I grow up I want to be a fashion designer. My line of clothes will be made of recycled or energy efficient fabric. I'm all about saving the planet. This year in school, I wrote a book called The Easter Bunny And The Kapershkie and it got picked by Young Authors. They published it and made it into a hard back book. I dedicated my book to my Grandma Donna, it made her cry, she was so happy. I really like writing, playing teacher, hair salon, swimming and playing outside. Meg, I think it was really sweet of you to let me do this, I really appreciate it, it was really sweet of you.

Isabelle-you are just as lovely and intelligent as your younger sister. This was an excellent and well written review. And your hair looks fab! Your Mom and Dad must be so awesome to let you two get purple highlights. Wow! This sounds like a great gel. I like that it has fun sparkles but doesn't look silly in your hair. It sounds like it works well and smells great. I hope that Meg has you and your sister back here again soon to do more reviews. I think that lots of mom's would really like a kid's perspective on items before they buy something. And some kid's products work well for adults too. May I wish you a huge congratulations on the publication of your book. You should be very proud of yourself! I think that you will make an fantastic environmentally aware fashion designer but also consider the world of writing. You are obviously very talented at it! Have a really fun summer!

You BEAUTIFUL girl you!!! How I love your smile and sassy eyewear...do you even know how adorable you are???I LOVE your review and just received a bottle of this in the mail today,Meg wanted me to be able to share with my 11 yr. old grandaughter,Hannah! She would totally enjoy hanging and chatting with you,she's very into Fashion Design as well and won 1st place in the "Build a Bear" design contest a few years ago too! I am in awe that you wrote and had a book published...wow...your family must be so proud of you and we here at Meg's are too! I think you make an amazing product look and sound as good as it gets! Isabelle, that is one terrific review. You covered every point I'd want to know if I wanted to recommend this product to a girl your age, and guess what? I do! I'm going to send this to my three great-nieces, Jessy, Ali and Peri (do you see a pattern in the way their mother named them?) They live in Virginia and each of them is very, very into hair products. They like to try everything out, so I know they will appreciate your review, especially when they see how good you look in your photo. Aw Is! You sound so grown up for being 9 (and a 1/2, how friggen cute!!) but seriously I appreciate your review! VERY well done. Nice to know you found something that works. I'm always leary of things with glitter in them. I'm afraid I'll step out in the sun and sparkle like Edward Cullen ya know? But it is amazing how some things have glitter in them, but the glitter somehow disappears when you use it. How DO they do that?!?!The packaging looks pretty cool too. Your hair looks fantastic - and the purple rocks! I don't like hairspray either. It gives my hair a funky texture. Hmmm. I don't think Strawberry Jolly Rancher is going to beat out Creamsicle, but it still sounds like a great product.

Isabelle, you remind me very much of myself as a young girl. This was a fabulous review to be done by a girl so young! You're quite the lovely young lady and I'm sure you'll go far in life. Now to let you ladies in on a little secret of mine- I LOVE products geared towards younger girls. The packaging is always fun and the products always smell fantastic. This sounds like a line that would translate pretty well to adults who are young at heart as well.
Dearest Isabelle, That was a great and thorough review, as you covered all of the aspects of the product, from the fragrance to the feel. Guess what? I received a book called The Easter Bunny and the Kapershkie and I cried when I read how it was dedicated to your grandmother. I thought how very blessed she is to have granddaughters like you and Lizzy, beautiful and brilliant and appreciative. I have to say this: I was so inspired that I read it several times and will read it every day, because it taught me a lesson about having faith and believing when I'm not feeling well. Your book gave me strength, Isabelle; it made me feel better! Don't ever lose the gifts you have been given to change people's lives--as a teacher of some very bright students, I don't often see both talent and a gentle spirit like yours. You keep writing, sweetie; I tell my classes all the time that those who do best in life know how to express themselves. Good for your wanting to design clothing--I do it as a hobby! My mom and dad encouraged me to stay with it, but I decided to teach instead because I love that as well. However, I keep a notepad on the nightstand next to our bed and draw the gowns I dream about.
