OUT OF THE MOUTH'S OF BABES! WELCOME LIZZY! A 6 YRS OLD REVIEW! STYLEMAMA'S STYLECHILD READY TO DISH ON "GLOP AND GLAM"

Meg here! ANNA WINTOUR LOOK OUT! LIZZY IN THE HOUSE! I have to backtrack so you don't think we're abusing our children as test subjects. Glop and Glam contacted me to review their products. I was very flattered seeing as their products are a high-end child-tween market. I decided that I would not review them. How can I? I have not been a child for quite a while and only can their true consumer base speak for the market. Stylemama has two beautiful girls. One even got her first book published! Yay to raising 'em right! Go Stylemama!
I asked Lizzy to please review Creamsicle Mist Leave-In Conditioner & Detangler.
Part of the next Meghead Generation; from this day forward, known as Generation M. So, lend us your ear while she introduces us to Glop and Glam Hair Products.
Hi, My name is Elizabeth. You can call me Lizzy. I am six years old. I will be seven in about a week. I got to try the Creamsicle Mist Leave-In Conditioner & Detangler. First, we washed my hair and then sprayed the Creamsicle Mist all over my whole head. It smells heavenly, just like those orange and white popsicles you get from the ice cream man. I think I smell a hint of strawberry popsicle too. It got ALL the tangles out. I told my mom, "Oh my gosh! I have to start using this when I get out of the pool because my hair gets so tangle-y and then I rip out like five pieces of my hair." The next day we went swimming and I used it again. There was pretty much no tangles and I didn't rip out twenty pieces of hair when I brushed it. I was real glad. When I first saw the back of the bottle it came in, I thought it looked just like orange soda. It looked real pretty.
I want to tell you about my favorite stuffed Great White Shark named Brucie. I got him when I was two. I am a very big animal lover. He goes everywhere with me. He's even in the picture with me and the Creamsicle Mist Conditioner. He sits right behind me on my chair at school. We aren't supposed to bring toys to school but my teacher understands that Brucie is special. As long as I don't play with him, he is allowed to stay with me all day. I think MegsMakeup.com is really cool and I think it's awesome that Meg let me write my own review. I am lucky.
Thank you Lizzy, nice work! Now that you have seen a glimpse into my heart, allow me to give all of the grown-ups some important details about this very cool product line. The Glop and Glam line was created by salon owner and experienced hair stylist Andrea Ridgell and the world-renowned Dr. Laura Schlessinger. Their collaborative efforts gave birth to fun, safe products that really work. The Glop leans more towards boys, while the Glam lends a more girl-y feel. However, most are versatile enough to be used by both. The scents vary from bubble gum to chocolate. MMMM, they smell good enough to eat.
Your family can use the entire G&G line with confidence. All of their products are free of Paraben and formaldehyde and are not tested on animals. (Lizzy was pleased by this little tidbit.) They are infused with lovely, natural ingredients like Aloe, Echinacea (A E C), and Camellia Oleifera leaf extract (Green Tea). While this line is clearly geared towards children, it's effective enough for the adult that's young at heart.
I'm always impressed with hair care lines that don't overwhelm the consumer by offering several versions of (essentially) the same product. G&G takes a simple, straightforward approach by featuring only seven products in their entire line. All but one is priced at $15.99. You won't find any repetition here.
Any one of the G&G products would make fantastic gifts for the children in your lives. Glop and Glam, even the name makes you smile.
Are there any other lil' Meglettes out there using Glop and Glam? Do tell......
CAN WE ALL SHOW SUPPORT FOR THE AMAZING LIZZY?!?

What a wonderful review on the Creamsicle Mist Conditioner, Miss Lizzy. You are as articulate, wonderful and beautiful as your mom, stylemama. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and wisdom. You could teach us a few things on here. xoxo. gem
Lizzy-THANK-YOU for this very informative review I will be ordering from the "Glop" section just because I know you like the Glam section. You are a GREAT and WONDERFUL writer and I am very proud you write for megsmakeup.com. You better continue your writing! You are so great at it!
I love to hear what the young people have to say! It's very interesting to listen to their perspective on "stuff". when I was a little kipper my biggest concerns were...1) whats for dinner?2) can I go out and play after dinner?3) can we get a horse? PLEASE Kids today seem to me to be so much smarter. Stylemama has an adorable daughter, Her review was insightful and helpful. WTG Lizzy!!
I am NOT a fan of Dr. Laura, but after this article I am a HUGE fan of Lizzy's! Wow, how articulate! Lizzy, you have a great sense of humor and a fantastic writing style. I am totally impressed. I was also impressed by Brucie, he is awesome and I love his name. When I was 6, I never went anywhere without my Scooby-Doo. Lizzy have you ever watched that cartoon, Kenny the Shark? I bet you would like it. Thanks for a great review!
Indi
Thank you Megheads, you so kind! Lizzy is absolutely beaming! With shiny hair, thank you very much Glop and Glam! ldpage, she asks those same exact questions everyday too! Meg, this was a great experience for her, this post made her whole day!
Reading Lizzy's post was the highlight of my day! :)
Way to go, Lizzie! My sister and I would have loved this conditioner when we were your age -- we couldn't get enough of Creamsicles. Brucie looks great in the photo. I'm glad he behaves in school. Come back soon and review more products -- Meg's needs your demographic to balance out all the ancient posters like me!
Lizzy, you rock! I am way past six, but I am going to try this because if it gets the tangles out that well I need it!!! Thank you so much for trying it out for us.
This was an amazing review Lizzy! You have a new fan. And I can't wait to read another review from you. There are a lot of moms here who would probably love to know what kind of products to buy their kids. I don't have any kids yet but I really like the sound of this conditioner. I have to admit that I have been known on occasion to try some kid's products. I love kid's detanglers for instance. Great job!!
Way to go, Lizzie! You are an excellent reviewer, and I hope we see more of your writing. I know your Mom is so proud of you. I like your shark too - don't ever throw him away. I wish I still had the stuffed animals that I loved when I was your age.You rock!
Carole
Aww, what a cute post.Loving the picture of Lizzy. So adorable. Too bad I feel like I'm a little bit too old to indulge in any of these products. I'm a fan of anything that doesn't "rip out twenty pieces of hair" when I brush it too ;)
Lizzy, you GLOW girl!
Katie
Awww... She's such a great writer! Lizzy and Brucy are beaming in that pic.
Hmmm I love the sound of the detangler, I've been needing one so bad lately.
Kim
aww, this was too adorable! i'll definitely keep this detangler in mind. my sister is a heavy swimmer and is always complaining about her hair.
Go Lizzy, Go Lizzy - Go Brucie, Go Brucie: I think you've got what it takes to be a good reporter - you covered the senses, gave us a good review, and served it up with a sense of humor. I especialy liked the way you described the aroma reminding you of the orange and cream popsicles, with just a hint of strawberry - just the thing on a summer night like this. Keep up the great job!Barbara
Lizzy, you are so incredibly cute and talented! Way to go, I loved reading your honest and informative review :) PS. Is Brucie named after the shark in Finding Nemo? [Megheads, I watch way too many cartoons. That's what happens when you work at a school, and have 6 younger siblings!]Also, I've tried Johnson & Johnson detangling leave in conditioner and their detangling spray, and I love them, but Lizzy's review is really getting me excited about Glop & Glam Creamsicle conditioner & detangling spray :)

Okay, now not only do I want a Creamsicle, I want this product. Even though it's for kids - who wouldn't want to smell like a Creamsicle? Fantastic job Lizzy! You are quite the pitchgirl. Does Brucie like Finding Nemo? I bet he does.
Wow Lizzy! You did a wonderful job! I think the bottle looks like orange soda too! I like it!

Great review Lizzy! Now I wanna get that conditioner! :)
What an awesome review Lizzy! I too want this product even though it's for kids, it sounds amazing! :)
Awh, how cute is she? :) Congrats on your 1st revie, Lizzy :)
Lizzy, I think Brucie has two namesakes, right? The one from "Finding Nemo" was named for the original Bruce, the shark from "Jaws!" I always remember him, because when "Jaws" first came out, my guy would not go to see it with me ("A shark attacks a beach community? Right. I think I will organize my sock drawer...") So I went by myself, and the first time Bruce came up out of the water I sank my long, beautifully manicured nails into the thigh of the perfect stranger sitting next to me. And I did it every time! P.S. He was so wrapped up in the movie he didn't really notice, because when I apologized he only said, "Oh, yeah. No problem."Keep writing -- you are a natural!
Lizzy-keep writing and try to get hired as a spokesperson. I'd buy anything from you! :)
First of all as a "Mimi of 4" I get to virtually SMOOCH Miz Lizzie all over her face!!! What a dollbaby MMMMMwhhhaaaahhhh! I totally enjoyed your fabulous review and am going to buy some of these products for my grandkids because if you like them so much, they MUST be amazing! My grandaughter is 11 but she will think you are TOTALLY cool!!! You are really pretty too, like your Mom! :)I will look forward to many more reviews from you and think that it's very important to have your opinions because there are sooooo many younger people out there who want to know what's good too! I have a love/hate with sharks: I love them because they are so interesting and cool and hate them because they are...well...sharks!!! I think I'd like Brucie though,he sounds pretty mellow,LOL! I was sailing in the Bahamas a few years ago,it's really nice there...my husband was trying to get me to dive into the water off the boat and I WOULD NOT because there were SHARKS in the water!!! You could see them because the water there is so clear...he said "They are the good kind and won't bother you, just dive OVER them!"I stayed on the boat because I didn't know you then...you could have asked Brucie for me if they were "the good kind..." HAHAHA! Hugs to you darlin' girl and keep up the great writing!
how cute :)
i love the generation M concept and for the product itself - being the proud owner :) of crazy curls this sounds like an orange soda ill carry with me to the pool :)

What a marvelous review, Lizzie! I look forward to reading more of your opinions!
Oh Miss Lizzy...budding writer and future fantastic that you are...I LOVED reading this! I'm a HUGE fan of creamsicle sodas and now I can enjoy the smell all day in my hair! I need a leave in for my super dry curly hair and now I'll think of you and Brucie EVERY TIME I use this. Much love to you sweetie. You are just as bright and beautiful as your Mama!Keep up the good work and always speak from the heart in your writing. Never let anyone silence your pen!
Love, hugs and shoes...Angie
Way the go Lizzy!!!! What a great review! I LOVE orange creamsicle, that was my favorite thing as a kid. I use to love that they had the characters on the plastic sticks, but you had to eat the whole thing to see it your prize, not sure if they still do? I haven't had one of those in years. Makes me want a have one now! :) I'm totally going to buy this mist conditioner for my son, he's got some long hippy hair, Aha! And yes it gets tangle a lot and I love to smell and play with his hair all the time and this will be awsome to smell. Can't wait! I love your Brucie! He's very handsome. My son has Mister Bear, he does bring him to daycare sometimes and sleeps with him every night. I think Mister Bear keeps him safe. :)Keep up the good work, looking forward to more writing from you Lizzy. Your are such a beautiful girl just like your wonderful beautiful Mama. :)
MESSAGE FROM LIZZY TO ALL OF YOU:Thank you for being so nice, thanks for telling me stuff like I'm pretty and you like my shark. I asked my mom if we could rent the movie Jaws, I didn't know that was how Brucie on Finding Nemo got his name. I did name my Brucie after that Brucie. It was my favorite movie when I was little. I used to watch it every second of every day and my sister would get annoyed of it! Sometimes I love to write but sometimes I am really lazy to write. I like being in Generation M, I like it and it sounds cool. I have lost four teeth. I have one that is loose right now and I'm scared of pulling it out. I wish it would just fall out by itself, but that can't happen. All of you are really nice and sweet and I think you are pretty. And I wish that you could come to my birthday party this Saturday at 12 o'clock. Where do all of you live? I have a bed with a slide and it is sort of like a bunk bed. I have a secret box under my bed, it is big. It was from Bed, Bath and Beyond. I cut a big whole in it so I could climb in a play drive-thru like at Mc Donalds I have to get rid of it when we have our yard sale, so we can clean my room and not get rid of a lot of my stuffed animals. I have over 100 stuffed animals. We need to organize them, biggest, medium, sorta small and then really small. We have a pool, and once I was afraid to jump in the pool and my mom told me a story that once she was afraid to jump in the pool. My favorite animals are sharks. Hammer Head, Great White, Tiger Shark and every single shark in the whole wide world. I just got my nails and toes done at the salon. They look pretty, some of them have flowers. My hands are bright, bright pink. You need a little bit of light and a little bit of dark to make them look like they glow in the dark. Sometimes they look a little orange, I wish I would have gotten orange. My toes are violet with Hawaiian flowers on them. I love my whole entire family. See you next time, Lizzy. You are awesome, all of you!
I am sitting here practically crying over all of the kindness, support and love that all of you have shown my Lizzy. Moments like these create the kind of confidence in a child that will stay with her for the rest of her life. It's like a permanent imprint on her soul. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I really do see her and her older sister as being part of Generation M. I made up that term to symbolize what we all are here at Meg's. It's a generation that will work together at encouraging, accepting, supporting and building each other up instead of the ways of the past, where some women show, catty behavior, mean gossip, and attempts at tearing each other down. So let's raise our virtual glass and share a drink and a toast to GENERATION M! I love you, you beautiful Megheads you!
stylemama--thanks for passing along that message from Lizzy! as if she weren't adorable enough, that second message from her was sooo sweet. I wish I could go to her birthday party and we'd play makeup! :) She is an awesome kiddo. You must be an awesome mom. Both of you are very fortunate to have one another. :D

PS. I had been dying to know if she had named Brucie after the Brucie on Finding Nemo. Adorable!

I wish I could come to your party too...I'd make fancy cupcakes for you, they are my specialty! :)I wish you THE best birthday in the world, ever and hope it will be as fabulous as you are!!!I love that you take such good care of Lizzie: I truly feel that kids whose parents invest in them emotionally, spiritually, and financially are the hope for our future!I love that you have her nails done...can't wait for more from LIZZIE the Mini-Megette!!! :)
Hi Lizzy, My name is Tatum. I love your review. It's so funny that you reviewed this as my mom was on the look out for a detangler that was natural. She finally found ObsessivelyNatural Kids detangler by kiss my face. The flavour is yummy and is called Orange U Smart. Mom says I can't taste it though! Mommy and I washed my Hair. Then she sprayed it and slowly combed it through. We also did something funny the other night...mommy made lots of braids and then I slept on it. When I woke up to go to school we took it out and I had lots of curls. I loved hearing about your stuffie called Bruce. I have lots of special stuffies. Mom and I are looking into starting a donation drive for the Children's Hospital so we can give lots of kids a stuffie and then they can name it a special name too. I love riding my bike. Playing with my two brothers...oh yes and pretty little things. ( That's what my mommy put on her page!). I love to try on her make-up, but mom says its best if I only do it when she's around. By accident I stuck my nail in her favorite lancome eyeshadow. I have now learned to always ask permission. My mommy now saves all her make-up bags she gets for gifts when she buys something and I get to put my favorite stuff in them. I want to buy some lipsmackers from the drug store and ask mommy if I can do a review on here also. I love your name. Goodbye.Tatum

Awesome review, Lizzy!Guess what! I have a stuffed shark that stays in my car. His name is Sharkey. (I have a shark colored car, and Sharkey is the mascot!)Looking forward to more great reviews!
Lizzy, "Jaws" is really scary, so I wouldn't watch it without someone as a "scream buddy." But if your mom says OK, let me know how you like it. I really like the way you write, and I hope you will check in with us now and then to let us know what's up with you. I like your description of your secret compartment under the bed -- it sounds cool. I want to wish you a very happy birthday this Saturday, and thank you for wishing we were all there. I'm sure we'll all think about you, and your loose tooth. I remember that feeling when it almost is ready, but not yet -- in my family we say it feels "ooky." I'm getting shivers just thinking about it!
yay for girls that have stuffed great white sharks instead of teddy bears! Go generation M!
I am so thankful for all of you putting forth the energy to comment on Lizzy's review. If you saw how she reacted to each and every comment you would then know that your time was very well spent. Lizzy, I am so proud of you. What a beautiful daughter I have! And to go along with that, an amazing heart and the funniest person I know. I just loved reading everything you thought about the product. I am already sharing this with others. You always have a way of bringing a smile to my face. I love you so much. XOXOX (is that 5 letters?) Love, Daddy (AKA Stylepapa)

Hey Lizzy,My hair always used to get tangley after swimming. Wish I had this product back then. Creamsicle sounds wonderful too.http://saimese.blogspot.com
Way to go Lizzy - what a great review! You make the product sound so great, I want to use it. And like you sister, and your Mama, you are just gorgeous, not to mention talented, and funny and smart - I could go on a while here.... Love to all of you and an extra hug for Brucie!
Rie
OMgosh!! I gotta find this product to try! My 2 girls (age 5 and 2) would LOVE something like this. Their hair is ALWAYS tangled when they get out of our pool. And to think I could remove the pain of brushing AND treat them with something that smells as good as icecream??? Oh its a win win win!!!BTW a 6 (well probably 7 by now) year old review is FABULOUS! You did amazing!

Great review Lizzy! I look forward to more reviews from you! You and Brucie keep em coming!
Lizzy did a great job with her review. I definitely agree that this is a great gift to give to children. Keep up the good work, Lizzy.
Lizzy, thank you so much for reviewing this! It sounds awesome, and I like that it smells so good. I might have to try it, too.I like Brucie, by the way..when I was your age, I had a carebear, Tenderheart Bear, and I took him everywhere with me. My teachers let me bring him to school, too. He's even in all of our old family pictures from when I was little. I think it's awesome that they let you bring Brucie to school. I love animals, too.
Awesome review, Lizzy! I am going to buy some for my nieces, the suave detangler that they're using now is okay, but this sounds like it's so much better!
I love that there are only 7 products in the line. And all priced the same. Simplicity is good.
Lizzy, you are a precious little girl. Thank you for your review on this product. You described the scent of the detangler so perfectly I was virtually smelling it myself. This sounds like a fun great detangler for my daughter's hair. She is 10 months, but has LOTS of hair that tangles.Brucie is lucky to have you as a friend. My daughter has a friend like Brucie too. Hers is Eyore from Winnie the Pooh. We adopted him from the Disney Store. :-)
A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.

mmm Creamsicle sounds sooo delicious!
