NYC GIRLS DON'T GET ALL THE FUN! AERO MINERALE COMES TO TN AND OK!

Meg here! I used to get so bummed out when I was a kid reading about all the cool and hip new places that opened! They were all in the magazines and they were all places in New York City or Los Angeles. I was sure as an adult I would live in both places!
It really didn't give any information on new salons or stores or services in Boston. I was only a kid and didn't have any money to actually spend there but it still would have been nice if my area had been noticed!
So Memphis and Tulsa-rejoice! Yolanda, the creator of Classified Cosmetics, founder of airbrush makeup is coming to your hood!
Have her show you how to get a celebrity spray-on foundation! See why she is Hollywood's best kept (but the secrets getting out there so move quick.)
She's really cool and super talented and can show you how to look amazing!
All that and you don't even have to take a subway!

Get out! Really? Someone is actually coming to Memphis? And as it happens, my volunteer work will take me to that part of town tomorrow afternoon anyway. YAY! Thanks for letting us know!
Carole
Oh, Cac, how exciting. I can't wait to hear what your experience is like!!!!!Enquiring minds and all.
Not that any sane person would take a subway in Memphis if Memphis had a subway system...UGH I wish I was still in Oxford, Miss so I could GO to the Memphis event!!!!
Katie
So, jealous!! Wish I could go.Kate, my husband and I honeymooned in Memphis. I guess we are crazy. Really I am just a Civil Rights History Buff Nerd. So Memphis was perfect with a dash of Elvis thrown in.
I'll let y'all know how it goes! And Kate - I don't know how hot it is in TX, but it was 100 today in Memphis! And many people still don't have their power back on since the storm last Friday.
Carole
I feel the same way! NYC, LA, Chicago, etc. always have all the major events and stores. It would be so awesome to live in anyone of those places. I don't live by Tennesee or Oklahoma, but yay to those like cac who do!
Stupid Memphis! Nothing great ever comes to Knoxville. :( It's always Nashville or Memphis and those are too far to make a pilgrimage for anything except very special trips. I'm glad to see us non-glamorous states getting some love, but I wish they would make it over into my area.
Meg, I felt your pain living in Boston. NY and LA get all the fun, hip stuff. Ladies, if you are in the TN or OK area, I highly recommend checking out Aero Minerale. I've been using it for a over a week now and absolutely love it!
Enjoy everyone . . . I sure wish there was an event in Portland, OR or Seattle,WA. But, that is the way it goes . . . If anyone is able to attend, please report back.
That's really cool for the ladies that live in those areas.Unfortunately, my nearest cities are Pittsburgh and Cleveland, so I don't get very many "cool" events that come near me. I used to live in between NYC and Philly, they had much better events, obv.
I'll stick to my NY subways - i really am a city gal :)Would love to hear about this event though!

she is coming to Tulsa? and i live 5 mins away from that Drugwarehouse? wow, too bad i may need to work.hardly anyone comes to our town, lol.
Damn, nothing ever comes to Canada :(
And now for the news about the event! Ummm, well, it was a rather low-key sort of event. No balloons or wine or cake or anything. Probably not much like the events that Meg goes to! But anyway, Yolanda from Classified Cosmetics was very nice. And the new mineral mist is fabulous. So even though I just dropped some cash at Sephora on the Smashbox Halo - I bought the foundation and bronzer. They are very reasonably priced (on sale this week at the drugstore for $11.99 each. When Gigi's feeling better, I hope she will do a review. She's a much better writer than I am. But anyway - it feels like a light mist of water on your face. You can blend it lightly with your fingers or a sponge. It looks totally natural! It kind of melts onto your skin, but GET THIS! It does NOT melt in the humidity. Now we DO have some humidity down here in Memphis . . . and today was extremely unpleasant. But I looked just fine after my makeover! Yolanda also misted me with the bronzer. Again, it only took a tiny bit, and it looked very natural. I had a glow. Imagine!I told Yolanda I found out about this through Meg's, and she said "OH, we love Meg's!" She was very happy about MMU sending out the news. So, Meg, thanks for letting us know about the event. I wouldn't have known about it otherwise, and I'd never even been inside Ike's before.

CAC-Gigi is a brilliant writer! But you are not bad yourself. I really enjoy your posts and this was no exception! I really would like to try this and I do not wear foundation ever. I know that I always ask this but, will this work for my oily/acne prone skin? Does really provide light yet actually visible coverage?
Yes, Carole, tell. As Elizabeth Taylor said to Monty Clift, "Tell Mamma all!" I want to know this: when I used to watch WNTW and see Carmindy spraying ERA on a sponge I would wonder, "what's the point of doing that if it's supposed to be a SPRAY?" So, madam, spill. Did Yolanda spray it on you, or did she spray it on the sponge and dab it on? Inquiring minds want to know. And if she did spray on the bronzer, how did it miss hitting ALL of your face, rather than just the high points?
OK, here's a bit more info! Yolanda sprayed the foundation on me, then lightly patted it around in some places. She did spray some on a cotton ball (a sponge would've been better) and tap it around my eyes. The foundation is meant to also be used as a concealer. And it works. The coverage feels very light, like not wearing any makeup at all. But it does its job! Kellie - it is oil free and I think it would be fine for your skin.BTW, they also have a spray primer! I didn't buy it because I have a lifetime supply of the Monistate chafing powder/gel stuff. But I think it's a cool idea because you spray it on and it takes care of eyes, lips, and face. No separate products for every part- YAY! TJ, she did spray the bronzer on as well. It really gives more of a glow than an obvious bronzer. I bought the bronzer and the foundation and I'm happy with both of them. There is no sparkly stuff (hallelujah) and I think it looks very natural. Only better than MY version of natural - LOL!The product is rolling out kind of in the same manner as the "prestige" brand did (the ERA stuff that Carmindy used to use). It's in NY and LA, then -of all places Memphis and Oklahoma. And then the world! TJ, you can probably get it at Duane Reade.I am usually camera-shy, but I may get my husband to take some photos so I can show you my results.
Carole
Carole, thank you! You did a great job with your write up on your experience. I can just see you and Yolanda sitting next to your tiny table creating the MOST fabulous look! Isn't funny how we are all trying so hard to look natural? What we really mean is naturally flawless, don't we? It's like when Stylepapa says, "I don't like it when the first thing you notice about a woman's face is her makeup." If only he new how we hard we all work to achieve that same goal. You MUST post a photo, we would all love to see the fruits of your labor. Come on sister, throw us a bone! ♥
Dawn, you make me giggle! I didn't do the photo yet, but maybe tomorrow. Thanks for your kind comments. The amount of time & money we spend to "look natural" reminds me of an old Dolly Parton line: "It takes a whole lot of money to look this cheap!" Anyway, the more I look at my skin with this Aero Minerale mist on it, the more I love it! I always enjoy hearing from you!
Carole
Carole, it is! It's at Duane Reade. I'm going to get it, lickety split!
OK, y'all... I'm posting a photo of me in my new Aero-Minerale Mist makeup. Now keep in mind that I am most definitely NOT photogenic woman - but here's the real me. Without my Warholized look and shades. To top it off, my daughter's in-laws were here tonight and without my mentioning anything about my makeup, her mother-in-law asked about what I was doing differently. She thought my skin looked so nice. TJ, let me know how you like the mist!
Carole
I love the new picture Carole, you look lovely. It does look very natural. Thanks for the great description of your experience. I'm very tempted to order some foundation, primer and bronzer. Once I'm done using up some of my older stuff in my cabinet ;-)
Carole, you look lovely. I, on the other hand, did not, but it's my own damn fault for thinking I could kill two birds with one stone by buying the "tan" shade instead of one closer to my own. Instead, I was left with two dead birds. My chest and legs? Tan, but so matte it looked lifeless. My face, orange-y. I will try again with a color-match shade, and keep it to my face, which I can then augment with bronzer, per usual. And, BTW, I did follow the video on the face, using a foundation brush, so thumbs up on the application.
Carole, I really enjoyed your review. Your comments in another thread made me remember this. I think your picture is awesome and I am going to go a hunting on this.
Thanks Ladies! TJ, you may want to try the Nude shade on the foundation. I think that covers a lot of skin tones, and it just melted into my skin. For the bronzer, Yolanda suggested Malibu for "Tyra or lighter." That works for me!For my legs, I still use a self tanner, but use the bronzer as a correction when needed. I don't have the right about of attention to detail that is required to get an even tan!
Carole
ive been looking for something like this!
i need to get this!
How awesome that this brand is reaching beyond the big cities! I used to live in Vegas, where you can find practically anything!......to a small beach community where you have to shop online! It's a transition but I'm very glad to see brands reaching out to smaller communities!
i dont see the photos?!
wonder if this brand will reach to the uk eventually?! not sure that i could be swayed to use anything other than my beloved edm but i would certainly like to try this
I feel like nothing ever comes to RI. I guess I will just have to be patient and wait my turn.
