KORRES SHOWERGELS AND BUTTERS!

Kate2004rock here! I went to see the new Nia Vardalos film last night "My Life in Ruins." It was super cute, it made you laugh out loud, and having been to Greece before, it made my heart ache a little. I loved Greece--the food, the wine, the yogurt, the beaches. It's fabulous. That's why today, I wanted to reaffirm my everlating devotion to Korres, the Greek homeopathic line started in a pharmacy in Athens. There are no synthetic ingredients in this natural line which ranges from soaps to sunscreen to skincare to slick lipglosses (I needed the alliteration!) and their full makeup line. All Korres products are free of sulfates, parabens, synthetic fragrances and dyes, petrochemicals and GMOs.
Their newest editions to their line are the Jumbo sizes of your favorite shower gel and body butter scents. Recession-friendly prices with light-summery scents sure to transport you from suburbia to the Cyclades (And the alliterations continue!!). $19.50 buys you 13 oz. of showergel or $29 for just under 8oz. of body butter.
The body butters are thick and moisturizing, but a little goes a long way so I feel ike $29 buys you quite a bit of product. Scents like Guava, Melon, and Lemon Basil are adventurous and exotic enough to put a lot of life in your "stay-cation" in the backyard! The Body Butter Trio ($24.50) includes minis of the Guava, Quince, and Fig scents makes a perfect hostess gift or a great way for your greedy-self to try more than once!
One of the five shades of lip butters ($9) also make good stock for your beach-bag or a little tint of color on your lips for margaritas with the girls! What are your favorite Korres products?

I am so in love with Korres! The products are top notch in quality. I only wish that I could try them all. I am attempting to make my way down the list. I love the fig body butter. It is thick and creamy. The fig scent is so exotic while not being over-powering. It really gets rid of your driest patches of skin without being greasy. I also love the plum lip butter. The shade is such a pretty pinkish-purple. It is so hydrating. It is substantial feeling on your lips. So it doesn't slide off but is not sticky at all. It truly moisturizes your lips. And the pigmentation is pretty long lasting. It tends to leave a pleasant stain or tint on your lips. I just ordered the plum lip gloss. I will update you on the quality when I get it. You can not go wrong with Korres. They are great products with ingredients that you can feel good about!
I love Korres too! Their products always feel like they are good for me... and the best part is, they ARE. I love the pomegranate lip butter. It happens to be on my sweet little lips right this minute. It's a color that I'd never think would look good on me, but it does. I'm not usually into the kind of coral tones, and it's not what I'd expect from something called "Pomegranate" but go figure. I also love the shower gels - every fragrance seems to be a winner. Kellie - you've convinced me that I need the fig body butter. It sounds wonderful!

I love everything I have ever tried from Korres! I'm loving their lip butters. They give just enough color that really sticks and are super moisturizing. They look fantastic under a gloss! I also love their wild rose face cream. I use it during the winter to brighten my skin a little and keep it evenly moisturized. I can't use a lot of heavy winter time creams because my skin is oily year-round but this stuff is perfect! I also picked up a watermelon scrub of their's at TJ Maxx about 6 weeks ago. Love the formlation and it makes my skin feel great. Not so bit a fan of the little black bits that are the "scrubbies". They're damn near impossible to get off and stick to EVERYTHING. Even after I washed my towels the bits were STILL stuck in the looping. It was a pain. I've always wanted to try their body butters. They look fantastic and creamy but not greasy.
I love the Guava body butter. Loved your alliterations, too! And now I want to go to Greece!
Personally, I was very disappointed in Korres body butters. I tried the quince one. Yes, it smelled heavenly, but it really didn't do much for my dry skin. Forget elbows or feet. Even dry hands were not cured enough by it. Sorry to say but aside from the heavenly smell I have nothing great to say about the product.
omg, after kate and champ's "reviews", I absolutely need to see My Life In Ruins--I LOVED My Big Fat Greek Wedding. :)And Korres is a great brand. I just got one of their lip butters and it is REALLY tinted! It's a nice balm too.

never tried any Korres products but being from Easter Europe i am very drawn to their skincare because it sounds very much like a homemade remedy- yougurt mask, for example.
I have heard great things about Korres, especially with their lip butters, moisturizers and facial masks. I'm most interested to try their silicone-free primer!
Korres is a line we get in South Africa (premium cost) but it's amazing. My body butter is nearly finished and I'm starting to get palpitations.....

Oh how I LOVE Korres! It's my new found love. I'm currently using the white tea gel face wash, Promegranate face moisturizer (smell awsome) and Evening primerose eye cream. All smell so good and makes my skin feel so GREAT! It works wonder on my combination skin too. I also love that it's natural. I will have to try their shower gel and body butter next ;-) I love my Big fat Greek wedding, reminded me of my big fat french family that try to plan my wedding, haha... And I'm putting "My life in Ruins" on my Netflix list. :)
I LOVE the Korres line! My fave product so far is the Yoghurt Cooling Gel (Cooling After Sun Face & Body with real yoghurt)...not only is it great for when you forget to apply sunscreen and get a little crispy, it's AWESOME for those of us with what I call "Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who's the fairest skin of all" skin who get all red and puffy after an eyebrow/lip/etc wax!! (Don't you just hate that you can't go anywhere after a waxing b/c you look like a freak?!?) This product takes away the red almost instantly! How did I find out about this fabulous multi-tasking item? One day, I got my brows waxed...I went home, showered, put on my make-up and proceeded to drive to the mall and get a few things at Sephora...mind you, I arrived a few hours after my waxing thinking I looked "normal" again. I walk in and one of the Sephora employees gravitated to me and was staring at my eyebrow region..."Oh, did you just get your eyebrows waxed? Come with me, you need to try this product..." I'm thinking "is it really THAT noticeable? I made sure I didn't leave the house for a while and applied make-up to cover up the redness!!" So, I followed. She pumped some of the Yoghurt Cooling Gel onto my hand and I tried it out...apparently, the lactic acid in the yogurt is what helps relieve redness/swelling(?) and, sure enough, the gel cooled and took away the redness right away...totally amazing! For an added bonus, keep it in the fridge- you will love this product!!
I am totally obsessed with Korres lip butters. They're so awesome, in my opinion. Definitely one of my favorite products. They're so moisturizing.I've also tried their shower gels and I think they're nice, but really nothing special. They smell awesome but they're a tiny bit over priced. I love their eye shadows too. They're pretty good. They're pigmented and I think they layer nicely.
I love Korres! Everything I have tried has been amazing. I especially am in love with everything in Fig and the Pomegranate. I haven't tried the Yogurt Cooling Gel, but, after reading Annabelle's post, I am adding it to my must try list!
I really like the body butters, which moisturize without making me feel like a greasy mess. I also like their shampoo and hair mask, which make my hair feel nice and clean without totally stripping all the moisture. After reading all the raves about the lip butter it looks like I will have to try that next!
I want these simply for the scents,LOL!I have the "pomegranate" lip butter and it's very nice...seems to be an elegant line all the way around.Greece is on my short list of "Places I still want to go to in the world..."I have been holding off because I fear I will not return. The food, the men,the sea,the history...
korres is starting to take over my shopping wishlist the more i hear about themthey seem to be a very green company that does as much for your body as for the environment

I'm in love with the Korres Qunice body butter, not a big fan of the guava. I am currently using the Wild Rose moisturizer, serum and mask. Sadly, I'm not in love with any of them. While it does moisturize well, it leaves my face a bit rudy, which I don't like. The shower gels were okay, but in my opinion there are better natural shower gels out there. I really wish that my local Sephora or Ulta would stock the Korres make up line, because I'm dying to try it.
I'm not sure how - but I have never tried anything from this line. I've heard lots about it but I've never bought anything. Now I'm thinking maybe I should!
I totally forgot to talk about the hot greek boys! (Didn't fit my alliteration scheme, I guess though! If anyone knows where you can find the Mango Butter that Korres used to make, I'd be your slave forever. It was a super-hydrating face cream, great for sunburn from the beach or windburn from snow-skiing!

I have some awesome Korres Products. Except for that their sunscreen is kind of thick and white!
I've got some Korres stuff. I've tried the Lemon Basil body wash and the Coriander body oil. I also have the Orange Blossom cleansing emuslion to try out. The Lemon Basil smelled fantastic to me. I really like the kind of herb-garden-meets-perfect-summer-day smell. It was not very moisturizing though and left me kind of dry. Quite a feat since I'm an oily skinned girl. The body oil didn't seem to sink in and smelled kinda funky. Maybe it was a matter of body chemistry, but I definitely would not get that scent again. I totally love the idea of Korres (homeopathic and all that), but what I've tried so far I've gotten better from other places. Seems kind of a hit or miss line to me. But maybe I'll totally love the cleansing emulsion. I'll try it and come back.
I love Korres so much *sigh*, I visited one of their stores when I was in Greece! It was amazing. I haven't tried any of these products however my fav. make-up product of all time is the lip butter, I'm wearing it right now!-Allya (http://paintedtips.blogspot.com/)
I have never tried any Korres products but they all sound devine. What would be the absolute must have items??
The lip butter in Quince, definantly!-Allya (http://paintedtips.blogspot.com/)
I say the lip butter in Plum!
Nope! I like Quince!
I've never heard of this brand. Their products sound wonderful. I have to get me some.
I just got the Basil Lemon body scrub yesterday at Marshalllll's, I was so excited to find this for $4 bucks. I couldn't believe it! I tried it last night on my hands and Oh boy! It felt so soft, like baby skin and the smell was to die for. Can't wait to try this all over my body. :)
makeupper, get the lip butter in Quince! I have plum and it's a little dark for me personally (I like to slather lip stuff on pretty thick, b/c my lips are so dry). Quince is so pretty...

Quince makes me look like a corpse and I am very fair skinned. So my suggestion is if you normally like a lighter color for Quince. But if you like to go slightly darker(but not too much) try the plum! The bottom line is that the lip butter is delightful in whatever shade you prefer.
I just got the Korres Cherry Lip Gloss in Plum. It is great. It is not sticky at all!! It feels so smooth and moisturizing. And it has an extremely high color pigmentation. It is very pretty, flattering, and feels great. I am in love already!
I've never tried these, but they look fabulous!

Lemon basil sounds different. I've never tried Korres' products before though.http://saimese.blogspot.com
I just got at TJ-MAXXX.... Body wash in the fig scent and I got bath salt in Cedarwood and Jasmine eye makeup remover all for $4 each. I'm loving shoping at TJ-Max and Marshall's now and finding all these great Korres deals. Also when I went they had Essie's nail polish for 3.99 a bottle. I got two. Love a bargain!
This is a brand I have heard of yet have never tried. I'm still on the fence due to the high prices.
Oh thanks for this! I need a good FOR REAL moisturizing body wash. Tanning makes my skin dry and I want to keep it as nice as possible!
Tan is Love
Sounds interesting. I will look into these. Thank you.
I love their lip butters!! Never been dissapointed!
I have never heard of this brand before, but I am excited to see they sell it at Sephora. I will be checking it out next time I am there. The Vanilla Cinnamon Showergel sounds yummy.

Vanilla... Guava....primrose.... Oh scent heaven!!!
Not a fan of Korres. I tried there Honey Moisture-Binding Face Mask and Almond Meal Soft Natural Scrub. The mask was of lotion-consistency and didn't do anything. The scrub was even worse. It smelled like mildew and while it made my face red, it didn't really exfoliate.

OOh these look promising. And they're not bad for the environment/your skin.:)
My life In ruins... my whole family saw that except for me! ):I love how this is organic stuff.. it makes me feel less conscience, and better, if i put this on my face or hands!
I really want to try the Lemon one, it sounds like it would smell nice and work well.

I just got another body butter. The quality is outstanding. I love how the packaging is designed. The body butter is very concentrated and goes a long way. I am so looking forward to sampling more from this line.
I would love to try these, sounds great.
I've never used this brand before but nice products!
I have never tried this brand, but it sounds wonderful. I want to try it right now ;-)
Korres is insanely overpriced here in Aus. Way too much. I did get a fab sample pack from the girls at the Kit counter (purveyors of said overpricing) and the yoghurt pomegranate moisturiser was quite nice. Didn't make my skin react and had a nice texture. I wouldn't buy it for the price that it was here though - something like $47 for 50ml. Too much!
