UPPER CANADA SOAP AND CANDLE MAKERS! STEAMED VANILLA MILK BODY BUTTER $1.99!!

Sharond Xplores. . . .As mentioned in the past, I am one of those people who finds bath and beauty products in the most unique places; hospital gift shops, craft fairs, unique boutiques, hardware stores and Tuesday Morning.
I design and sew one of a kind handbags and totes so I work with a lot of fabric causing my hands to become very dry. Living in an alpine desert also doesn’t help. Because of my dry hands, I am always on the lookout for a good moisturizing non greasy lotion to use while sewing. A couple of days ago I found a new fabric store in a neighboring town and while checking out I spotted hand lotion by Wildflower Botanical Bath in Bonsai. I asked the girls working there how they liked and they gushed over it. I sniffed it and decided to give it a try. I have to admit that I am extremely disappointed in this product. It does smell lovely, it is non greasy, but has hardly any moisturizing properties and when it dries it scrapes off. I do have sensitive skin and this product makes my hands itch. If I had looked closer before handing over the money I could have spotted all the artificial ingredients and waxes and would have saved myself $8.00.
A number of weeks ago when I was browsing Tuesday Morning, which is one of my favorite places to find non common brand name bath and body products at extremely good prices, I came across a 5.2 ounce Steamed Vanilla Milk Body Butter from Upper Canada Soap and Candle Makers for a mere $1.99. This thick, decadent moisturizer contains shea butter, glycerin, milk protein, jojoba oil and sweet almond oil. These ingredients are well known to not only moisturize, but for locking in moisture. I have been using this product day and night and find that it has to be one of the best inexpensive body butters I have ever used. Now I kick myself for not buying two or all of them when I had the chance. As with a lot of items at Tuesday Morning, the item you want might not be there on your next shopping trip. Hoping I could find this product online I looked up Upper Canada Soap and Candle Makers and could not find this particular product, however their website is filled with all sorts of delicious sounding items. Based on the very good luck I had with the body butter, I would not hesitate to try any of their products.
I was surprised to learn this Upper Canada Soap & Candle Makers is very large almost unknown (to me anyway) company. They were established in 1969. Their product lines have expanded to over 2,000 bath & body products, candles, soaps, and specialty gift items.
Their website writes that Upper Canada was founded on a desire to bring both innovation and value in bath and body products. To this day, this remains our purpose. Our product developers are focused creating new and exciting products in bath and body with packaging and fragrances that are reflective of what today's woman is looking for whether it be from a bar of soap or a whipped body soufflé…quality and value. Our commitment to excellence from development to product ensures our customers that every product is made to the highest quality standards.
I have not ordered any products therefore I can not comment on packaging and speed of delivery.
Has anyone else tried Upper Canada products? Do you shop at stores like Tuesday Morning, Ross, or similar for inexpensive beauty finds? What is your favorite?

This stuff sounds great. I am going to Canada for vacation in July. I wonder if I could find this then. I will keep my eyes peeled. I tried to pull up a retailer list but had no luck. I love to get my beauty closeout deals at TJ MAXX, Marshalls, and sometimes even Big Lots. You can find some amazing stuff-absolute top brand products for super cheap!
i find really good products at TJ Maxx, they recently had a whole bunch for Korres products. I am gonna check Tuesday Morning- apparently it is a couple of minutes away from my home :)
I just checked out the website and I'm getting this for my mama, she looooves wasabi! Sounds kinda gross but it might be cool....http://www.uppercanadasoap.com/site-2009.01/product_list.php?top_cat_id=...
Wow that's cheap! $1.99?! My mom is always looking for a good, non greasy hand cream. Thanks for the recommendation!

Oh I need to check TJ Max near my house, I love Korres products. Thanks faith24. I've never try Upper Canada Soap, sounds great I will have to check it out. I just saw on their website that Amazon has some of their products. I have a lot of family and friends in Canada so I had the pleasure to try some great products giving to me as gifts, one of them is Barefoot Venus at http://shop.barefootvenus.com, my mother-in-law work at this company and she gave me for Christmas the following products: Mustard bath (great for when your under the weather) so relaxing, vanilla shake whipped bath and s.o.s. lotion in vanilla shake, this stuff smell so yummy. and the lotion leaves your skin silky soft. Another great Canadian company that I was fortunate to try some products is Olivier Soaps at http://www.oliviersoaps.com/english/theexperts/index.cfm I love their Derma Creme, Olivier nature soap (that is very good for skin condition) and I have all their Baby and Me products for my son and I LOVE them all. Poor little guy has eczema on his body in the winter and this stuff clears it out. Just like California baby. It's good stuff! And products are all natural, both of these companies.
Wow thats really cheap and vanilla is always yum.

I love lotions, I too have dry hands and I love body butters and creams. I've been in Tuesday Morning before, but I didn't notice any lotions. I've also been to TJ Maxx and Ross, but I haven't been there since I've gotten into makeup and scented body lotions. Next time I go, I'm going to have to look for some makeup and body butters.
How funny, just today I learned there was a Tuesday morning near by. Sounds neat, Ill have to go check it out.

I wonder if they have this at the Tuesday Morning near me...I might have to make a trip on my lunch hour today. I love it when I find those little nuggets of awesomeness tucked away there or at Marshall's...
This looks nice...I like the idea of Canadian milk body butter for $1.99!!!I love lotions
I'm always a big believer in stocking UP when you find something you love. I have been known to get home, try it out and RUN back to TJ Maxx's to get the rest. Its the ones that got away that can haunt you. Sad shoe story...I fell IN LOVE with a pair of Naughty Monkey heels. They were BRIGHT orange with a large Hot Pink Hybiscus flower cover the toe. They were TO DIE FOR. I himmed and I hawwed knowing I should NOT buy yet another pair of shoes. I told myself I had to draw the line somewhere and I drew it at these $90 pair of shoe heaven. They haunt me still. I search and I search for something similar and I have never found it. Moral of the story is...wait for that something special. And when it comes your way POUNCE on it!
Love, hugs and shoes...Angie
With those ingredients, it would be impossible not to love this product. Thanks for the introduction. I am always on the hunt for supreme moisturizers. Desert living is not for the faint of heart, or the thirsty.
Oh man I LOVE Ross and TJ Maxx for steals on bath and body stuff. Ross always has products in super pretty bottles that I pour my cheap-o stuff in to make me feel fancy. It's fun and makes me feel like I'm using expensive stuff when I'm going more on the broke end. One of my FAVORITE things I buy from Ross is a bubble bath that comes in a little milk jug. I want to write a real review of it one of these days. It's so great and it only costs 4 bucks at Ross!I searched and there are THREE Tuesday Mornings in my town. I had no idea they sold bath and body stuff! I'll have to swing by. I also got some great Korres stuff at TJ Maxx about a month ago. Watermelon Scrub for two bucks. I was in heaven.
I just saw Urban Decay, Korres, Estee Lauder, Cosmedicine, and Juice Beauty at TJ MAXX yesterday. Wish I had more money!! Sweetassgal I totally feel your pain about haunted items. It is such a mistake to not buy what really, truly tickles your fancy if it is possible. I have very specific things that I just never stop kicking myself for walking on by. When will I learn??
No way! Oh crap I am going to be in such trouble. If my TJ Maxx has UD and Juice Beauty my debit card is just going to curl up in my wallet and DIE. Now I have to go tomorrow and see. I promise I won't spend too much, I promise I won't spend too much, I promise I won't spend too much....
Marshalls has some GREAT finds too!

Body butter for $1.99?!!! Trying it!
I think I've seen these before. The packaging looks familiar. I live in Canada so it's pretty likely. I'll keep my eyes open for them!
I love palmers cocoa butter, it smells lush and the scent lasts all day-and of cpurse its very moisturising.I really want this stuff (you guys are enablers- my christmas list is so far about a mile long and we are oly in august!!!! :) )just the name of this makes me swoon! and now i need a cup of steamed milk! i always used to have a cup of warm milk before bed mwhen i was small-yummy! when i read this the smell and taste of that cam flooding back and now i want one!! one thing that worries me......I couldnt promise not to eat this if i got it!! haha
Yep... This site is definitely bad for my wallet.Only $1.99? And you make it sound so good! I have a friend or two in Canada.. Maybe I'll have to sweet talk them into procuring some for me and shipping it down!I seen people mentioned Tuesday Morning, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls for bath and body stuffs.. Maybe I'll have to swing by those too.I always end up spending so much money every time I go to Tj Maxx though. There's always something I need. Last time it was a pair of Pumas!
wow, awesome deal. yea im heading to tj max tomorrow!!!!
What a steal!! $1.99?! This seems like an excellent recommendation!
At $1.99 who wouldn't want to buy it?I checked out the site and I really like the Aqua Pearls (in the goldfish shape for my baths...I know i'm a dork).I also like the look of the Sea Spa products.

So cheap and i love the packaging i can imagine i could like the scents ! ;)
Wow can't get any better then $1.99. I'll get my shower gel and other things at Big Lots a lot of the time so I can justify my makeup spending.
The price is very attractive, and vanilla too... Yummy!
Nice, but I've never tried it before.
gahh! i LOOVE IT!
Great gift for others, not so much for myself.
