Cargo 7 in 7 kit - pure genious!

Katie here! Certainly, no one wants to get up earlier in the morning than they really must. Personally, I try to squeeze the morning routine into an hour! But if you think about it, there's still a lot to do in the morning! Wash face, brush teeth, make bed, fix breakfast, pack lunch, gather books/papers for the day, find keys, pick out clothes. Like I said before, our Sephora is very tiny, stuck in a JC Penney's store. I do not remember seeing this there last time I browsed. This sounds like a wonderful deal, I just wish I could see the colors better. Thanks for the info on what sounds like a great steal.

You are speaking my language. I am a huge Cargo fan. I love the reverse lip liner in this kit. I have found many ways to employ this little pencil besides the original design. It works nicely above or below the eyebrow. Lightly drawn above and blended well to give the look of a more lifted brow or shaded in lightly just under the eyebrow for a very natural looking highlighter. In a pinch, I have also used it as a concealer. Wow, I guess that's a lot from a little pencil. You will find many Cargo products in my pile. This company doesn't make a bad product. I have also read that it's often found on many movie sets and that as a result lots of celebs use the brand. Thanks for showcasing one of my favorites Katie, great find! BTW, I agree, there is just too much to do first thing in the morning. Wouldn't it be nice if we could spread it out some? Apply make up at lunch, pick out clothes around 2 p.m., make the bed-never, oh and eat breakfast at dinner. My kind of day (;

Sigh, Cargo. I love most of their stuff, but I have issues with their onebase. NOT ENOUGH COLORS! Even the lightest color is far too dark and too orange for my super-pale skin; even if it was, I wouldn't be able to indulge in this little beauty. Why? Because they don't make a "fair" kit, only light medium, golden medium, and deep medium! This always seems to happen to me with kits and it gets REALLY frustrating. I remember one notable occasion where I shelled out a bunch for a Smashbox kit in Fair- labelled fair, mind you!- and the foundation was L1. As in, "LIGHT 1". Thinking I had gotten one with a mix-up, I checked the contents on the side of the box. Sure enough, the FAIR kit came with a LIGHT foundation! I'm not sure why they did this when they HAVE lighter shades available, have a whole separate kit for "light" skin, and why they would lable a kit for fair ladies when it's obviously not meant for us!Sigh. It gets so frustrating sometimes to be at the far end of the spectrum. I don't get to enjoy wonderful kits like these- but to those who can, I suggest you go for it! Cargo makes wonderful products, several of which I use daily. I'm just personally not going to be shelling out sixty bucks to throw away a whole full-sized bottle of something in the kit. That's my rule with kits over forty dollars- if one thing doesn't work, it goes back, no matter how well the rest works. I figure I wouldn't spend the money on a DVD set if one of the DVDs didn't work, so why would I do the same for makeup?

I've used this off and on for a few weeks now. It feels like a really good value, and it's a nice set for an autopilot morning when you don't want to look too made up, but want to seem pulled together. I'm indifferent about the one-base. I love it as a concealer, but I never feel like it's actually a base (I get compliments though, so I guess it's doing its job). I love the eyeshadow quad, even though it's perhaps TOO neutral. The blush gets a big thumbs up and, as does the lipgloss. The eyeliner is good, but nothing special IMHO. Mascara looks great, but smudges terribly and takes a while to set.The reverse lipliner? When I put it on right, it's amazing. Othertimes, I look in the mirror and feel like a clown. It seems to be unforgiving to a casual application.Overall impression, very nicely coordinated pieces, for a fresh but not overdone face. No time savings (other than not having to chose a product in the morning), but a good value. I think I'll probably turn it into my "leave at the gym" kit so I can look decent after a lunch workout.

I have always wanted to try Cargo products! But I don't know what it is, every time I end up at a Sephora I can't bring myself to buy anything. I look at all the beautiful products but end up telling myself I don't need more blushes, or more lip glosses, and then a few weeks later I will get something from another brand. Can anyone recommend must haves from this company? I am a lip product junkie but have been branching out more into blushes as well.

I bought the darkest shade (I'm about NC30ish in MAC, which is probably about a medium skintone).--Mascara: like it a lot. No flaking or smudging that I've noticed. Love the hard plastic bristles--really combs and separates your lashes.--Blush: doesn't really show up much on my skin... just a bit of sheen? Nice for gals who like it really really really really subtle. (as in, I can't see it).--Eyeshadow palette: worth every penny of its $28 pricetag. Absolutely fabulous.--1 touch foundation/concealer: it'll get the job done but isn't amazing. Decent enough.--Eyeliner: smudgy. not great. --Lipgloss: fairly sheer. not bad, not fab. I wish it had some scent.--Reverse lip liner: totally worth it! love it. even w/o gloss or lipstick, using this really makes my lips look fab. Just the right color for my skintone. Is this worth $57? Absolutely.
