JUICE BEAUTY! HYDRATING MIST!
Sweetassgal here delving into more of Meg's goodies from my bottomless bag of fun. Up today is Juice Beauty's Hydrating Mist....bring on the JUICE!
In last weeks review I extolled the virtues of caring for your skin and not damaging it with harmful sun rays and abuse. Well pot...call me kettle because I'm black! Or RED as the case may be! I spent about 5 hours in the warm California afternoon sun this last weekend pulling weeds and clearing away winter debris making way for the buds of spring. It was a glorious day replete with a little 10 minute siesta lying on my back in the fresh grass beneath the shade a tree staring at an azure blue sky. I have to say, as I mused philosophically to myself..."why don't we take more time to lay back and just enjoy the splendor of a spring day?". Because we all get too busy that's why and its a darn shame. Just like I was too busy to properly apply my all over sun block. Though I took a few moments to hit the highlights, I failed to get far enough to the center of my back and ended up with two red crescents on my shoulders where the sun was and my sun block and tank top weren't. Shame, shame...I know your name and it's ANGIE!
Juice Beauty's Hydrating Mist to the rescue! Now...I know this lovely little mist is intended for your face, and rightfully so as its naturally light, fresh and hydrating. However I found it was a welcome relief to my dry and tight sun burnt skin. At first application I feared it would be sticky but it soaked right in immediately quenching my thirsty skin and leaving it with a soft and dewey glow. I was immediately hooked. If it worked this well on my damaged skin how would it do on my face? Wonders I'd imagine and since I didn't sleep much last night I cheated my morning routine today. Around 10:00 this morning I closed my eyes, gave my tired skin a spritz and patted the mist gently into my skin with the tips of my fingers. I was immediately taken by the light, botanic and spa like scent. PERFECT for daydreaming about running through a field of fresh cut grass and wild flowers! The scent lingered just long enough to give me a refreshing boost and the elixir sank immediately into my skin allowing for a quick powder touch up almost immediately. I felt like the essence of spring!
I'm not sure I would recommend this for those who use heavy foundation or concealer as a mid day refresher, though its wonderfully uplifting first thing in the morning when applied to a clean face. And I would definitely remind everyone to close their eyes upon application...it can sting if you don't. But overall its such a light and hydrating mist that I think anyone who uses it in the lighter makeup months (I can't stand heavy makeup when the mercury rises) will find it a welcome relief on a dry hot summer day. Keep a little bottle around when you've just had it with the drying heat and ravages of daily pollution to block out those icky cell killers and give your skin a drink of antioxidant rich white grape juice. Then head out to a sidewalk cafe for some adult grape juice and watch the passersby marvel at what a fresh faced beauty you are!
Here's what Juice Beauty says... harmonic blend of certified organic, antioxidant-rich white and red grape juices, soothing aloe vera, nutrient-rich rosehip, grapeseed oil and vitamins to hydrate and balance skin's natural moisture for a fresh complexion. Mist lightly on freshly cleansed skin and throughout the day for exhilarating refreshment to balance, tone and hydrate your skin.
Who couldn't use a fresh burst of spring in the convenience of a bottle?
What do you think ladies?! GLAM ON!!

My skin has been so dry this winter and this mist has been so refreshing. I spray it a few times a day right over my makeup. It does not remove my makeup. I do enjoy this product and especially like the way the skin on my face feels. I recommend this product.

This sounds wonderful! I'm going to buy it right now for my planned trips to the beach in the next month.
This product sounds great! I've been using the facial cleanser, mask, toner and moisturizer, but I haven't try the mist yet. When I use this stuff my skin feels so nice, clean and soft and not overloaded. It's just enough for me. After Suki this is my second favorite facial line. I LOVE juice beauty and it's natural. I will have to give this a try. ;-)
You know I'd going to be upset you didn't use more block but I absolutely agree with your taking time to count clouds!!! I agree that we all need to simplify and enjoy the little things a LOT more!I LOVE "Juice" and think everything they do is just wonderful...this little spreay is my new BFF,I take it to the gym and love to use as a simple but very effective pick me up when I'm feeling like a raisin! Easy and reasonable and portable...doesn't get better than that!Great review of a great product girl! :)
I'm normally a huge fan of hyrdating mists. Also, I'm normally a big fan of Juice Beauty. I LOVE the Green Apple Body Moisturizer - yum! But the Hydrating mist has the color and odor, of well, number 1. It's also really sticky so you don't really feel refreshed after spritzing, you just feel, well...like you bathced in Orange juice. Not a fan.

I also struggle with dry skin and found this spritz really light and refreshing. Fab smell. I love this product and want to dare to bring it when I travel to New Orleans in a few weeks...there that all important law of no liquids though. I will have used enough by then to get away with it I hope. If confiscated, I will cry into my pre-flight bloody mary and buy some more!
I never used to use toners. Full disclosure, I never used to wash my face at bedtime either. I KNOW, not good. I am a reformed lazy person (most of the time) and now faithfully, properly cleanse and moisturize at the appropriate times. I liked this toner as an all over spritzer AFTER my makeup had been applied (I never wear heavy makeup). It did seem to perk me up a bit and I liked that it didn't wreck my foundation, etc.. It is a nice extra product to have around but it wouldn't replace my Dr. Hauschka Toner. My regular toner works beautifully both pre and post foundation application. I didn't enjoy it as much when used on bare skin. Overall, nice to have around but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to purchase it. Sorry.......
Sweetass, I forgot to mention, I love how descriptive you are when you write. You make it easy to visualize your story, very enjoyable for the reader. Love, Dawn
I first tried this hydrating mist when it came in Juice Beauty's Organics to Go. This toner works really well on my sensitive/combination skin. I agree with kate, the smell is not the greatest. But, it is really great at reducing redness and irritation. And, doesn't leave my face feeling tight and dry like other toners. I don't think that I'd ever use this with makeup on, but I am going to pop my small bottle in my gymbag for a post-workout refresh.. thanks for the tip. :)
I love all of the things I have tried from Juice Beauty, so I will have to give this a try. A litle put of by what Kate said reguarding the smell...Will have to smell before I buy ;-)!
I really, really like this! Recently, because of a change in my medicine, my skin has been breaking out like CRAZY. Unfortunately, this means that most of my skincare regimen can be quite drying. Sometimes, after using my acne treatment, my skin can feel dry and tight- this stuff helps so much! I've started alternating it with my HG (LUSH's Tea Tree Water) and it's helped with the "tight" feeling a LOT, plus it hasn't made my breakouts any worse. Love, love, love!
I do like the premise of the product and have found facial misters to be really great, however I agree with KateRock that the smell on this leaves a bit to be desired and I still much prefer my Caudalie version!
I normally use Boscia's toners, but switched to this in January because my face was feeling quite dry after using JB's cleansing gel (I think was due to drought conditions, not the cleanser). I wanted more hydration without having to choose a thicker moisturizer. This has worked well in that respect. It does not soothe my skin, I think it makes it redder. As it gets warmer I will probaby switch back to a clarifying toner and put this in the fridge to use on those 105 degree days when I need a quick shot of coolness. What I wouldn't give for a walk in fridge on those days.
My personal jury is still out on this one. I'm not a big toner user. I do agree I don't care much for the fragrance but it does go away within seconds. I love the idea of putting it in the fridge to spritz with on sweltering days, great idea, but again would like the idea even more if it smelled fresh and light! Knowing that the ingredients are not made in the lab by mad scientists makes it a lot easier to spray on my face! I read on a blog that some people use it for a refreshing light pick-me-up while being cooped up in a flying box (with tiny hermetically sealed windows) full of stale recycled old air also known as an airplane! Not a bad idea!
Jeanasina!
i always end up burning in summer- my skin skin is snow white pale, and in order to tan i must burn at first. i always looked for something that could calm my skin- good product recommendation.
This sounds great, currently I use the Caudalie elixir and I really like it. I might have to give this a try.
Souns good i like the idea of putting it in the fridge.
I've continually eyed Juice Beauty products. A sales associate at Sephora recommended a line for my sensitive/dry skin but I didn't make the purchase..I think this was part of the set. It sounds lovely.

The Juice Beauty shelf at Sephora is adorable, but I've never tried their products before! This sounds like a good replacement to my current water toner (Evian, haha)
this looks amazing! i really want to try this!

I'm using evian right now, I like to use these mists to finish my make up, it looks more natural if you spray your face at the end!
