URBAN DECAY! POCKET ROCKET!
Jeanasina and today’s topic is going to be SO MUCH FUN! Ladies, start your engines please….This is one smokin’ hot product I‘m about to share with you! Today’s product was created by Urban Decay and it is an absolute smile-inducing lip gloss called POCKET ROCKET! The minute I pulled this baby out of Meg’s shipment from the her star-studded relaunch party, I LOVED it! First of all, this is a good sized lip gloss container - one you can really get your hands around! THIS is the mother of all fantasy lip gloss containers out there!! Competitor lip gloss container designers can forget about it! They don’t stand a chance next to this hot commodity! When the Urban Decay creators and inventors of Pocket Rocket Lip Gloss were sitting around at their board meeting talking about this new product line…I just know they were all in various states of undress, sipping on champagne, and probably watching 8 male strippers perform one by one up on the boardroom table while applying this lip gloss on one another! This is not your mother’s lip gloss! 5 champagne flutes ladies! FIVE! This lip gloss fits in your hand and you won’t want to put it down and do you know why? Here’s 8 reasons: David, Eric, Jesse, Kirk, Doug, James, Julio and Timothy! These men don’t wear lip gloss but they DO play a huge part in the enjoyment of this product! Apply the lip gloss and see what you think right! You gently turn the top of the applicator a couple of easy turns and ‘ZING’ that little applicator just springs into action right there! No pulling or prodding, just ZING!!! It’s ready for you within a second! Again…let me repeat, this is not the same-old, same-old here! The wand just springs right up like it can’t wait for you to latch on to it and use it baby! I’m not making this stuff up! This is more fun than any make-up product I have had the pleasure to try! Do you even know how much I love what you review? Seriously,you never fail to put me on the floor laughing girl! :) And all this plus a wedding too?You are the best!I think this gloss is one of the funkiest,coolest,most ridiculously-fabulous items there! How many ways can you package freakin' lip gloss after all???I am not sure about the taste of the gloss,sort of like a creme brulee that's been sitting a while BUT the texture,shine and longevity make up for it and honestly,it's simply the best thing ever to gift or pull out of your purse! UD never fails to delight me and although I sometimes feel like the nasty old Aunt when I browse the aisle and have to slap away the sticky 16 year olds sampling the glitter liner in order to grab a product to test,it's been a staple in my makeup bag in one form or another since they came on the scene! I have never been without a "Midnight Cowboy"...These are delightfully-designed and I'm picking up a couple for gifts this week as well!I love finally being able to have a man in his proper place...right in my sweaty-lil' palm,LOL! (no offense to the Meg-Men of course!:)Wonderful treat for lips and sense of humor UD!EDIT: BTW...my man of the day is "Doug" and I swear he has a sock shoved down the front of his boxer-briefs,LOLROF! This looks great. How cute! I have never tried UD gloss. Am I correct in guessing that it is not sticky? Does it have good staying power? Does it have nice pigmentation? I really want to try this. The only UD product that I have tried was eyeshadow. I loved it. It is probably some of the best shadow that I have ever used.
This is so cute! And Jeanasina, you are too much! The perfect reviewer for this tantalizing new way to get that special somethin'-somethin' to turn a daily routine into a sense-sational ritual. I, grateful at my advanced age for any man who falls into my, um, hand, did not bother to read more but simply accepted what UD and Meg had plopped in my lap. Now that I know there are more men captive in their shiny tubes and waiting for me, I'm going to dash to my local Sephora and round them up. All this and great gloss, too? Heaven.
Mjsred!!! Honey…you always make me smile! Lucky we live many acreages apart or I’d be singing “I kissed a girl and I liked it!” LOL! Don’t be frightened! I thought of you in the first moment when I got this product actually! I knew you’d think of this as I did, with innuendos up the kazoo! You are so much fun! Regarding your comment on crème brulee that has been sitting awhile…I didn’t really get a big taste factor (which I prefer) I’m not trying to eat my own lips or anything as if I was driven into a mad frenzy to devour the taste of crème brulee! It’s just pleasant which is a whole lot better than some of the ‘ugh’ factor tastes of some glosses! Can you imagine how hard it is for some of our men, to lean in for a big kiss after we’ve glossed up, only to slide right off of your lips and turn away trying to hide gagging sounds from the taste and tacky texture?! That’s when you also see them take their hand and try to covertly wipe off the gloss that is now gooped up on their mouths! I’m sure there are men somewhere who were bold enough to say…”How can you stand that shit on your lips?” Not so, with this stuff. I think they would come away thinking…’WOW! That was rather nice. I’m going back in for another round!” The color I got, Coral with pink glow, is really wonderful! Kellie76, the gloss I got gives just the tiniest bit of color – so on its own – it makes my lips look compelling and moist and natural – like the lips of a much younger woman who usually doesn’t even need to wear lipstick! Who wouldn’t want that look? I think it makes your lips look totally kissable and desirable and inviting – not gunky or chunky! It seems to last for awhile – it’s not sticky! Since I read your question I have pushed my currently supple looking lips together countless times and I’d have to testify – no sticky fly paper residue! I can’t say that it stays on for hours on end – I did reapply it a couple of times already this morning; drinking coffee, talking on the phone etc, eating of course takes it somewhat away!

Girl, you are killing me with this review - I got a bad case of the giggles! UD is one of the most innovative cosmetics companies out there, and this gloss proves it. The packaging is so cool, that even though I have enough glosses to open my own Used Lips store (my attempt at creativity and marketing - so sad), I am heading to Sephora today for at least one of these babies. Urban Decay is my go-to for all things eyes, but I've managed to miss out on their lip products. Until now. Their design people are aMAZing!Carole

Particular? You bet! I never fell for just any Tom, Dick or Harry. But David, Timothy or James, aka Urban Decay's Pocket Rockets, well, that's another story. These are oh so juicy lip glosses with a photo of the guy of your choice inside a capricious cap. There he is on one side, handsome as they come in killer clothes. What's on the other side? Flick your wrist and try to suppress the triumphant smile when you see that you've torn the togs off Timothy or divested David of duds. Plus and this is a big plus - how about a dash of pheromone? The vial is decorated with pheromone laced ink. Just give the ink a little rub to release this wee bit of magic then stand back...or move forward, as you choose. David is a muscular rascal with gloss to match - a full-bodied claret. Timothy is what every mother hopes you bring home, so sweet he sends you roses, which is the color of his gloss. I love me some pheremones! OOOOH BABY! You nailed it jeanasina! Great review. This lip gloss truly is as terrific as everyone describes it. I got my tube the same weekend as the launch and stylepapa and I just happened to be staying at a fabulous hotel in L.A.. Were talking great hotel, sexy man, no children, and pheromone scented lip gloss; I'm gettin' hot just thinkin' bout it! The funny thing is that for some strange reason, perhaps the power of suggestion or the power of the mighty pheromone, this product has the ability to transform. Your mood, your lips, your total look is just plain sexier after using this awesome gloss! I haven't even mentioned how pretty the color is or how great it feels on your lips. I got mine in Milky Mauve and he goes by...... David. Urban Decay's description of David surprised me because he and stylepapa share the same characteristics; hard working at his 60 hour per week job with plenty of energy left to come home and put 110% into me, oh yeah....... The color is a beautiful feminine blend of rose and mauve that I find very flattering. My lips look utterly kissable and full when I wear it. I wouldn't call this a long lasting gloss, but that might be intentional. The more you apply, the better your mood. I love doing my lips, I think it's fun, sexy and I always feel better post lip do! Everything about this product is somehow feminine, yet powerful all at once. How the heck did Urban Decay do that? Awesome..........

I received Eric the Red! Literally!!! Gave it to my fair skinned, plump lipped, raven haired daughter to try and it was gorgeous on her! At first I think she was a little overwhelmed. The more she looked at it the more she fell in love. A simple eye, smooth skin and red lips...how can she go wrong! We LOVE this stuff. Thumbs way way way up!!!!!!

I was really sad when UD discontinued the old pocket rocket/sparkler pens. They were shimmery sheer glosses at an unbeatable price poing ($10). So now, same product and even better luxe packaging. I got the Ozone color (shimmery clear). Loves it!

Ok, I did not get a Pocket Rocket. But I will have to try one eventually. But I did have the great pleasure of receiving my first UD lip color from Meg the other day. I was so excited! I received the Urban Decay lipstick in Buzzkill. It is fantastic! The purple packaging is so beautiful and interesting. Anyone who sees me put my lipstick on comments on the cool design and the awesome dagger. The color is devine. It is a beautiful rose hue. It really flatters my fair skin. It seems to be long lasting. It has a really nice texture as well. It's not sticky or heavy. It has a slight but yummy caramel scent. It is such a delight to use. And if I am not mistaken it nearly if not all natural. This is clearly an added bonus to an already top-notch product. I will not hesitate to purchase any lip color from Urban Decay in the future. If anyone is nervous to try something more expensive than a drug store brand this is the company to take a chance with. You will not be sorry! And it will be worth every penny!

Shhh. Don't tell my boy, but I'm kind of in love with Doug! I love this lipgloss. The packaging is super-duper-cute (and fun!), and moreover, I love how slim it is. It truly lives up to its "pocket" name- it fits perfectly in my jeans pocket without being like "HELLO I HAVE A TUBE OF LIPGLOSS", and it doesn't give me that uncomfortable bulky feeling I get sometimes from having things in my pockets. The color is a perfect sparkly purple-pink, the consistency is non-sticky, and it lasts for at least two hours before I have to reapply (this is a miracle, considering I'm constantly smacking, rubbing, and generally screwing around with my lips). Total HG- I'm probably going to take advantage of the FnF sale and grab a few more boys for my collection!
I was so happy to learn about these guys! David is my new love. He's cute, sexy, and that's how I feel when I wear this gloss. The shade is a gorgeous mauvey color that I think would look good on just about anyone. I must say that I did not NEED another lipcolor, but I guess "need" is a relative term. I haven't tried this gloss. I actually haven't heard about this gloss until I read about it here. This is such a awesome idea. I defintitely have to get one, I think I want James or Timothy! There are no words that can describe this product!

ahahah! my momma got the red one and let me try it on for size... me being the non-lispticky person i am i put it on and didnt like it at first, but then i kept it on for a while and like how it wasnt super sticky. and i got tons of compliments on it. so have to say two thumbs up for that man in the underwear, he did good!

The first time I saw this product I burst out laughing - and then bought one. I love them! Beyond the absolute ridiculous packaging (that I'm sure my boyfriend would love if he saw... haven't introduced the two of them yet ;)) the gloss tastes good (bad girl, I know :(), the shine and color are amazing, and I also love that the applicator is a mini brush. The girls over at Urban Decay just can't go wrong :)I'm just waiting for them to come out with new eye candy. Shades and boys. :D I'm sure to pick another one up soon!What's up with the pheromones though? Just a gimmick? I'm not sure about that part...

i love urban decay, and I have to give this 5 flutes for the packaging. It's my go-to gift for girlfriends right now, and we've all got a got laugh over the packaging. That said, I find the actual lipgloss only so so. maybe that's because I picked based on my taste in men (David), so I won't gripe about the color not being my fav, but it has a strong (not noxious, but strong to me) smell and is a bit sticky in my opinion. Still, innovative packaging makes up for a lot! :)
These look so fun, I always play with them when I'm at Sephora or Ulta. $19 for a small gloss is a lot though, so I haven't pulled the trigger. And a lot of people don't like the smell so I'm not sure about that.

I got mine in eric and I love it(His the cutest in my opinion)I love the tube it's massive,the design is so gorgeous and wow in every way.I love the applicator it delivers just the right amount of gloss.Eric is a sheer red and lovely and shiny without being tacky or sticky.It's just the most perfect gloss ever-they really did their research and put everything a woman could possibly want all in one really cute tube.

Couldn't resist doing a search for a Pocket Rocket post -- these things crack me up, and I've been waffling for months about picking one up. So far I haven't convinced myself that I truly need a $19 lip gloss, but oh, if I ever spot a sale, look out.
