WE ALL JUST NEED TO RELAX! WEN LAVENDER OIL!
Happy Monday! Let's all stick together and smile and try to get through this week together! Meg here, I know we wish we were at Friday 5:30 but let's try to enjoy what we've got. You've made it through many weeks, you can make it through this one.
This is an accidental post. I had this stuff in my medicine cabinet for months and wasn't quite sure how to use it. A bottle of Wen Lavender Oil with the old fashioned dropper just stared at me night after night as I reached for my saline solution.
Putting on a relaunch event is stressful. Everything I read said that "lavender was a most soothing scent." I was lucky enough to have this Wen Lavender Oil on hand.
What happened? It went a few drops into my hot bath and made me breathe the calming scents as my muscles relaxed. It made my skin soft but nothing to write home about.
I dipped my head under the water a few times and got all of my hair wet, after my shampoo and conditioner, I thought "Oh, for shits and giggles I'm going to just add a bunch of this lavendar oil into it."
I added about 8 drops, I added a bunch. I added enough that when I woke up this morning my hair was stiff. It was like I added mousse to wet hair.
I slept peacefully soundly that night-on that level the lavender did work like a calming dream!
I have dyed, heat damaged, thin, processed hair. What the Hell was I thinking adding all this lavender oil to my fried head?
After doing my shampoo and conditioner routine (same as yours!) I did not need my detangler lotion. I did not need my smoothing serum. I could not believe how soft, shiny, healthy and gorgeous smelling my hair was and felt!
This was a complete accident! Wen Lavender Oil doesn't recommend that you add a bunch of it to damp hair and then sleep in it. It's my own recipe. It works and if your hair is damaged or dry and brittle this will do the trick! I'm not sure if you can just buy straight Lavender Essential Oils and that will bring the same results. I checked my bottle and it says it has "Jojoba and other essentials" so that may affect the outcome.
All I know is that after I had showered my hair was fantastic! My hair is never fantastic so that's quite an endorsement.
Anyone else had great luck with Wen Lavender Oil? Let us know if you had the same results or if my hair is a freak of nature!?
Buy it here! WEN

I am going to try this! I have tried avocado oil, works great BUT I am sure the lavendar oil would smell much better. I also use a shower cap when I sleep with it on so that it doesnt get all over the pillow case. thanks for the idea...
Hmmmmmm.... Last night I used coconut oil in my hair, then shampooed it out but this morning my hair was still oily so I shampooed it again (my poor hair). Hopefully it'll work!
Ollie, I did the coconut oil last week. The second day my hair was a greasy mess, but on the next day to my surprise....soft and silky hair! I am going to have to give the Lavender Oil a try, thanks Meg!
I sell Wen by Chaz Dean at www.thegourmetbody.comI love it!
I have "your hair" Miz Meg and will give this a try although Lavender can be an interesting scent for me.Suffering for beauty is what we do and having funky experiments is part of the process,I guess,LOL! Did megken also smell wonderful in the am? :)
Greenie, I'm counting on it. It looks greasy and unwashed *ick*
I have the Fig oil and I love the smell. I think there is somewhere on Chaz Dean's website where he does recommend using 4-5 droppers full on the scalp and then mixing the oil and the cleansing conditioner to make an overnight hair masque. I've had lots of trouble getting the Wen system to work for me, but the oil is one product that I love. It is also great on cuticles. Sometimes I put it on my whole body when I'm done showering and then towel off(Chaz Dean recommends this too). You can also add some to your favorite moisturizer. Unfortunately, I've found the scent doesn't linger like it does when you put it in your hair. Too bad, those scents are terrific! I'm going to try Meg's recipe of adding just oil to wet hair. I used a new Burt's Bees shamp/cond combo that left my hair dry.

I have never used this before, but it sounds awesome! Lavender is my favorite scent and make my hair soft and smell like it-- awesome!

I've never tried putting lavender oil on my hair, would be interesting to try!
I love the Made from Earth Lavender "Calm" lotion. The lavender is real and the scent is nice. Many so-called "lavender" lotions have no actual lavender in them! Read your labels. This one is good and it really does get rid of dryness, & you don't have to keep reapllying it all day.
Once is enough for the day, and you want the scent to keep...as its a natural product.
i can never fall asleep fast :( usually it takes me around 1 to 2 hours to fall asleep :( maybe lavendar oil will help, my mom has baby shampoo with lavendar extract or something in it, so maybe ill try to use that and see if it helps me to sleep
lavender oil is something I always keep on hand. I actually put a few drops in my 100% aloe that I use when I tan outside in the summer.

I use Lavender oil for a million different things..it's one of the most versatile oils and yay! it also smells wonderful! For my hair, I add it to my jojoba oil and sleep with my hair wrapped in a towel, and my hair feels amazing in the morning. I also use lavender oil mixed with grapeseed oil, bergamont oil & tea tree oil as a moisturizer for my face. It hydrates my skin and battles my acne all at the same time. I have never used lavender (or any essential oil for that matter) in it's pure form as I think it may be too strong on it's own; it's best to mix with a carrier oil such as jojoba or grapeseed oil.
not too fond of.
omg, so sorry to hear about your incident!i have heard lavender oil working for acne... but it's the priciest oil i've seen!
For some reason the smell of it always bothered me I don't know why.
Wow, that sounds great, I love the smell of lavender. I don't think I could douse my head in it though, as I am soooo oily (stupid limp blonde hair, lol!)

mmm lavender! i heard this relaxes you!
I don't use lavender oil, but I use tea tree, jojoba, argan and coconut oil on my face and they work great!
Wen is a great line. I ordered this in the "fig" scent. For me fig was the most atrocious smell. BUT I love the product. I am absolutely going to get this again...this time in the lavender.
Def want this!
i love lavender! sounds awesome!
