JOEY NEW YORK! OUT OF STOCK AND GOING FAST!
Gigi here! Gigi, Dabbing Her Eyes in True Drama Queen Fashion over Disappearing Semi-Drugstore Deals . . .
"Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got `till it's gone? They paved paradise to put up a parking lot." (Joni Mitchell, "Big Yellow Taxi")
I have a confession to make. My skincare line of choice for many years has been Joey New York, not one purchased at Rite Aid, Walgreen's, CVS, or any drugstore. This is one of the rare companies which offers products for all types of skin, from that plagued by acne and red patches to dry skin and deep lines with the same predictably excellent results. On a tight budget, I've actually saved pocket change for my Joey "fixes." Withdrawal from Joey New York is not pretty . . .
However, allow me to redeem myself. A few items can be found at drugstore.com here!. There are more at ehealthcure.comThese also sell vitamins, minerals, and OTC medications, and that makes them drugstores, right, albeit online ones? Thanks for seeing it my way! Now I can lose the guilt.
Although we generally discuss one item, mark this review STAT and pardon the format breach. I learned recently from Joey that products out of stock will probably disappear forever, as they are revamping their entire line quickly. To me, they are trying to improve on perfection. Even my husband was stunned to learn this, but there's nothing we can do except to shop! It is imperative! Otherwise, the "you snooze, you lose" rule comes into play. Don't snooze-this is great stuff. Joey offers something for everyone.
I came across Joey eons ago by first being asked to critique their Pure Pores Line for another cosmetic review site-some of the items include a liquid cleanser with Vitamin C, a dual toner/moisturizer, a mild, non-comedogenic moisturizer, a masque which is a master at drawing out impurities and preventing breakouts, and a scrub. There is also a roll-on blemish fix and a flesh-toned concealer which heals and hides. Pure Pores has a way of combining salicylic, lactic, and other acids and tempers them with comforting, natural botanicals to handle complexions gently. Blemishes disappear quickly, but skin is not marred and is never flaky or dry. Fear not-you'll have no "shrink-wrapped" feel after using! They aren't inexpensive. They are priced around $27.00 but are worth every penny. My favorite from the Pure Pores line is the "Crushed Almonds and Honey Scrub ($30.00)." The texture is thick and pasty. The scent? A strange meld of nuts and drywall putty! But it exfoliates tenderly, leaving no particles in facial crevices, only radiant, velvety skin. My problem is that I am so pleased with the results that I will repeat, rinse, repeat, rinse, and repeat. I should have my paycheck directly deposited to pay for Joey!
If you have troubled skin or Rosacea, Joey has you covered with calming toners and serums. It's hard to bypass their "Instant Results Best Sellers Kit" ($60), which comes with generous trial and some full-sized products, from lip pencils and plumpers to blackhead remover and pore minimizer gel, egg cream face lifting and contouring serum, and line-up correcting cream for face and for eyes, which Joey likens to Botox. See if you can get what you need at the sites noted above or at beautybridge.com or cosmetique.com A few companies are charging too much to take advantage of the current scarcity, so comparison shop, please. Let me know if I can help you in any way-it's my pleasure, you gorgeous, sexy, magnificent "megheads" (that's Ken's term, and the poor man doesn't realize that he's one yet) . . .
Who else has had luck with the Joey line! Take advantage of these close-outs!

Stephanie, you hysterical woman, I am sending you cyber hugs and kisses! I hate writing about brands no one knows and am forever grateful for your support! TJMaxx--another source! You are a genius and I couldn't be happier for your remarks. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Did I thank you? Love ya, Gigi
Ok Gigi...I'm blaming you right now for making me spend money I shouldn't. I don't knowwhy but this line is beckoning me and I HAVE to try the kit and something for myred skin. I should NOT NOT NOT spend any $ right now but I SO want to. Why is it somedays we can be strong and look past and others we are at the mercy of our yearnings.I'll let you know how it goes. Loves!!!
Love, hugs and shoes...Angie
gigig i LOVE joey products too - i've used hide & heal for years as it's well - amazing and does what it's supposed to do without looking icky. love the entire pure pores line - well worth the cost as they're super concentrated and work. unfortunately i've also started to love the line up... unfortunately because i need it yet fortunate because it freaking rocks! i had heard there was a major redo coming down the pike but was very excited to find some of my old favorites (listed above) at tjmaxx! hide and heal for $5 - chaching! line up for $9.99 - i'll take 4 please! so might be worth checking at your local tjmaxx or marshall's... and not just looking at the shoes - as joey has been there and probably won't be for long! improving on perfection - - hopefully that's successful - cause quite frankly i can't imagine they could get any better!
Again, thank you lovelies! Last spring, before I was at Meg's, I did a critique on Joey for Amazon. Their vice-president sent me four full-size products because of my enthusiasm. She was subtly quizzing me as to what I most like and I didn't realize it. Can you believe that? So I e-mailed her and told her about the reviewers at Meg's and was gently pushy and tenacious. I requested free items for you. I told Arlyne that that the reviewers love skin care and makeup and are wise when it comes to judging items; I told her that you could help sell the remainder of the lines they have and help to introduce their new products. I teach marketing--word of mouth is the best way to advertise, even if it's negative. When I reviewed it years ago at the other site, she phoned me and said, "I appreciate your words, but I can't keep the items on the shelves after that." (FORGIVE me, as that was absolutely NOT to sound obnoxious but meant to show you that we have a bond of sorts.) Angie, only you--where DID you find that great site? I spent hours looking up less expensive items and came up with nothing.
GOOD NEWS LADIES!!!!! I found the Joey New York 7 piece kit at http://store.goodtobeyou.com/jonewyoskulk.htmlfor just $45!! That's $6.42 PER item!!! Yeehaw savings!!
Love, hugs and shoes...Angie
I was in Marshalls the other day,LOVE their gormet-cooking aisle and they had several Joey items on a shelf but I didn't know what it was...will have to re-check it out now, sounds like great stuff! Thanks Gigi for keeping the dream alive on the cheap! :)
I absolutely LOVE Joey products! I can't wait to try out their new line... but I'm like you, I can't understand how they could improve on many of their products that i think are magical anyway.\r\n\r\nEveryone should definitely order plenty of the egg cream lifting products, the Correct A Line, and the Instant Chemistry Invisiline...I have several of each because I never want to run out. ;-)
I've spotted some Joey NY skincare at my local TJMaxx but never picked it up since it's an unknown brand to me. However, I did pick up their summer palette of bronze colors. Great palette in a pretty turquoise case. I'll have to give their skincare a try. Glad to hear good reviews about it. Thanks!
I often see this at TJ MAXX. Now I will have to give it a try...if there is any left!
Joey is awesome. The makeup from this brand is great too. I was wandering why I was seeing some of the things cheaper. I hate when cosmetic lines improve on perfection. It seems that all too often when a company is doing really good with a certain product or a certain line, they try to revamp it to make it better. Sometimes the new line will end up better, but sometimes the original is better.
the photo above reminds me of those face refreshig sprays. i wish they would work with your foundation.

Joey Products are my mainstay for the past year. I search all TJ Maxx and Marshalls and have found that from State to state the products vary. I have had to ship some stuff from places that I have visted. For example, there is a lot in NC (Raleigh) compared to Chicago. My husband just sent some from Hilton Head from the TJ's there. I use all the products and am addicted. I stock up on the Egg Cream. I have that least 6 bottles and am a little stressed that I need more. I know it is going to be gone soon. I ordered the catelog from Joey New York twice and never got it. I love that there are others out there that are Joey fans as well. My face looks so much better then it ever has in the past. I almost don't like telling friends about it becuase I don't want the stock of Joey to deminish to quickly.
So, can anyone post a blog thing via Meg? How?
Oooo i should visit my marshalls or tj maxx right away
I want is it still out of stock?

I just learned this company was going under but I found a bunch of stuff on Beautyticket that I'm going to need to buy! I will also have to check the local tj maxx/marshalls. They have great products and it's very sad they will not have a future.
