CM NATURALS SEAWEED SOAP!

To better understand my excitement, it might help to know a little bit about my very complex complexion. I have extremely reactive, sensitive skin. I also have some hybrid form of rosacea and acne, a little keratosis pilaris (KP) and let's not forget the eyebrow eczema! All of this is shaded in nicely with just a bit too much redness. Fortunately, all of these conditions are in a mild state and with proper care are not terribly difficult to manage. We must work with what we are given, even if it is a rainbow-colored complexion. Be proud of it, I am. Hopefully, my rainbow will be someone else's sunshine!
Managing all of this just got easier thanks to Inkbunny and Seaweed Soap. This cleanser comes in the form of a round bar, has an earthy, yet clean and mild scent. If you can remember to remove it from the depths of your shower it should last quite long. After just one use, I immediately noticed less redness and smoother looking skin. After three days of using it twice a day, my rosacea symptoms were reduced and the KP wasn't a bit aggravated. In addition to that, I have noticed an overall "calming" effect to my complexion, especially in the eyebrow area. I have only been using this bar for a little over a week and I am excited! In all fairness, I must mention that I use the clarisonic skin brush. But, before you attribute any results to that high-tech wonder...... allow me to remind you I've used the clarisonic brush for several months and it wasn't until Seaweed Soap entered the scene that I ACTUALLY saw results.
I also forced my husband and children to try this cleanser without the clarisonic to see how it would affect their skin. No irritation for the children's delicate skin and my husband reported that his oily skin felt really clean but not uncomfortable. Even he looked less red than normal. He just informed me that had the bar of soap not been stolen from him he would still be using it. Impressive!
As many of you are aware, seaweed is known for its ability to gently purify, detoxify, reduce inflammation, and balance oil levels. The lipids, vitamins, and minerals found in seaweed are readily absorbed into the skin allowing for deep-down penetration.
Besides the seaweed found in this great cleanser, some of the other main ingredients are shea butter, oats and glycerin. It is indicated for sensitive skin, the treatment of "most acne", and is reasonably priced at $14.00 for a 6-ounce bar. The directions are as follows: "Open pores by splashing warm (as warm as can be tolerated) water on face or stand in shower for full body. Lather face or body with the soap and vigorously rub the soap into your skin for about 1 minute. Leave the soap on for at least 3 minutes total (the longer the better). Rinse with warm water. Use 1 or 2 times per day depending on severity of acne." Simple enough.
The company prides itself on using only the purist ingredients found in nature. Combine that with the "clean" manufacturing techniques they employ and you have supreme quality assurance. I had the pleasure of speaking to Charmaine at CM Naturals and I was blown away by her kindness and enthusiasm. It was clear that I was speaking not only to a compassionate woman, but also a master of her trade. She tolerates only the best when it comes to customer service. Still not satisfied? Pick up the phone and ask for Charmaine, it's like she's one of us!

This sounds like a great product! I looked through the web site and there are sooooo many things I want to order, but alas - I'm broke. I'm going to have to wait until my Boscia and Cetaphil are gone so I can justify buying it!
Inkbunny, you have cracked the code! Lucky for the rest of us you were willing to share your good fortune. I owe you one friend, if I could I would take you out for a fun night on the town. Thank you for the positive feedback. Happy thoughts and big hugs are coming your way!
Also sending sweet Gigi good wishes and positive thoughts...get better girl!I'm going to get some for my grandaughter who is starting to obsess about those tiny spots 99.9% of us are subjected to as I also am not big on chemicals at such a young age.Bad enough I need them,LOL! Great review of what sounds to be a practical and lovely product that WORKS! stylemama...I've got that "great" skin you describe as well,LOL! Henceforth I'll count my blessings as you do and consider the "rainbow..."
So...on the subject of seaweed, I DO have a story...sorry I know I talk a great deal, but if you say a word that I relate to in my memory banks, you gotta know I have to say something! Here’s my high school version of “How I spent my summer vacation” by Jeanasina. I’ll try to cut to the point in less than 8000 words! A few years ago, my wonderful friend Sara, who happens to be a killer esthetician and waxologist extraordinaire... at that particular time she was working for JUUT salons who specialize in Aveda products. Well, my lovely friend Sara WON, from the salon, a TRIP FOR TWO to HAWAII! That’s right ladies...I’m about to tell you that she took ME with her to Hawaii! I’d like to tell you a billion things about that trip but the word SEAWEED is part of the topic here so let me tell you this tidbit! In Hawaii our hosts were David Wagner himself (the owner of Juut Salonspas) and his vivacious wife. One day David took us to their favorite private tucked away haven of a beach area to walk the sands and just generally get blissed out. While we were walking, one of David’s lovely children went out into the ocean water, reached down, and picked up a BIG handful of SEAWEED and ate it right up! I think my mouth hung open so wide at that moment that a seagull could have flown in and if I remember right I might have gagged when she did this! I was astonished but David looked on and explained that seaweed has a million healthy properties and they eat it all the time! Shortly after that I had my first sushi California roll wrapped in seaweed and at first I was put off by the seaweed but then a few weeks later I found myself craving it! So...I am learning yet another new thing today about what seaweed can do - only now on the outside of your body! I can’t wait to tell my daughter and my girlfriends who constantly lament to me about acne issues! The other cool thing is that people I know can AFFORD TO BUY THIS!!!! I am so psyched to preach the gospel of seaweed after reading Stylemama’s really great review today! This was like an unearthed treasure that I bet a lot of people have never heard of! By the way...any of you living in Minnesota or visiting Minnesota looking to have the best wax of your life ...allow me to tell you about my friend Sara! She’s SO good that you’ll take be tempted to take one of your ‘Lint-on-the-go-Sheets’ and use it to pick up all the dog and cat hair on your couch, rugs etc. and then hot glue that pet hair to your eyebrows and bikini area JUST SO YOU CAN GO BACK to have her wax you again as soon as possible! She’s THAT good! She SPECIALIZES in Brazilian waxes (who in tarnation would want to do that??? That’s waaaaaaaaay too much information for me on a daily basis!) and her facials are off the charts sessions of love, healing, beautification and waves of heaven. I wish I could have her put her hands on our beloved GiGi - so she could cause a melt-down of the energy stealing meanies who seem to have made a home in Gigi's head and cause them to simply turn to butter and exit out through her pores and be gone for good! I can’t wait to have Sara read today’s review about C M Natural Seaweed soap so she can spread this new tip to her clients! Stylemama...you are ALWAYS a breath of fresh air!
Jeanasina!
Ordered a few things and AGREE to the EXCELLENT service and great quality...she sells glycolic acid and you can do you own "at home" peels with great results, trust me.For $20.00 you get a helluva lot more than at the spa, thesy use the same stuff! GREAT find and I'm ordering more soon!
First, Gigi, I hope your are feeling better soon. Prayers arehugs are heading your way. Second, Sylemama I'm thrilled aboutyour review! I so happy you and your family have discovered thislovely hidden treasure! Honestly, I feel like I cracked theDiVinci Code or something. After the hundreds of dollars I'vespent in my lifetime trying to tame my acne and it's all here inthis $14 wonderbar! My teenage boys are hooked as well. When myfirst son started puberty, his skin exploded. I took him to thedermatologist where he was prescribed harsh, expensive cleansers that stripped the oils from his skin leaving it a peeling mess. Alongwith that came the antibiotics and topicals. After a year of littleresult I found this bar. After spending so much more getting somuch less, I was hesitant anything so natural and resonablypriced could be effective. I was so wrong! Amazingly this workedfor him as well! So when my second son hit puberty, he wassaved the aggravation and went strait to the seaweed soap. All ofour skin is beautifully clear! It is so worth trying! As someof you who know me, I'm an organic junkie. I hate putting chemicalson my skin when I don't have to. So I love the natural ingredients. Great review beautiful Dawn!
Well let me start off by saying that this is the very first time that I post a review. I've tried several products that have been recommended on this site at one time or another and I have had no complaints. Now on to my review, I suffer from severe acne at times and I swear I have spent a small fortune trying different products that "guaranteed" results. After reading the review for Seaweed Soap, I decided that $14 was a small price to pay for a great skin. Before ordering I actually researched seaweed and it's benefits but I digress. The ordering process was painless. I was even contacted by a wonderfully sweet customer service rep who needed some more info from me because apparently the site is pretty new and they are still working some kinks out (she even sent me some really cool samples for the "inconvenience"). The soap was delivered in a few days, 2 or 3 I think. I was so excited to have a bar of soap in my hand that had the prospect of giving me the clear skin that I have been dying for, for so long now. Enthusiastically, I followed the directions to the letter. I mean how hard is it to splash warm water on my face, lather with the soap, leave the soap on for at least 3 minutes and rinse with warm water?! I've done this twice a day for about three weeks now. My skin does feel soft after each and every use BUT I also noticed new pimples forming. Now this is where it goes downhill. My face started to break out in spots that it NEVER breaks out (my pimples are concentrated on my left cheek, so weird!). I started to get pimples on my forehead, chin and right cheek. After totally freaking out, I decided to keep using it. I figured maybe it had to draw out the impurities that were already there (most acne treatments have that terrible transitional breakout period. Ugh!). Well the bar is practically done and my face has NOT cleared up at all. Thank god for my Bare Minerals or I would be a virtual recluse. I so wanted this product to be great. In all fairness the label DOES say that it eliminates "most" acne, so I guess mines didn't fit into the "most" category. Unfortunately, I have to give this product only 2 champagne glasses. The second champagne glass is for the lovely sales rep who graciously helped me and sent me the really nice lotion samples. The coconut and hemp lotion was pretty nice. :)
Uh oh. I just placed an order before reading the review above mine.. I'm at the end of my rope with a current skin crisis (pregnancy facial freakout) and I just can't afford for it to get worse. I actually think $14 is expensive for facial soap, but I'm willing to give it a try. Fingers crossed I get a positive result!
Well, I've been using it since last Thursday and I have to give this product a huge thumbs down. I should have known better than to stop using the $5 activated charcoal soap that seemed to be slowly drying up the breakouts. As soon as I started using the seaweed soap my skin seemed drier and had pink patches where my skin seemed slightly irritated. Sure enough, the breakouts came back worse than before - just awful, to the point where I have to use my Mario Badescu drying cream and mask. This is really disappointing for $18.
I have been using this daily for over 3 months and I can't say I'm impressed. It was definitely way too harsh on my skin. I was really hoping this would help clear up my skin.. I guess my search continues!
This sounds like a soap I need to try. I have very acne prone, oily, easily-irritated skin. Seaweed is great for your face and your body. It comes from nature and helps make us look naturally beautiful! I happened to read on the label that it eliminates most acne. And after your wonderful review, there is no doubt in my mind that it would help clear up my skin. I currently use other products with seaweed in them for my face, and I have seen a big difference. I use Sue Devitt's makeup line, and it is really helps my complexion while helping make me beautiful. Got to love those multi-taskers. i use the triple c-weed loose powder and the 70% triple seaweed gel foundation. The loose powder contains sea weed and many vitamins including vitamin c, hence the c-weed. The gel foundation is composed of 70% water, seaweed, and vitamins. They both make my skin feel and look better. Instead of masking my problem, it actually helps. The loose powder will also make your skin feel so soft, like silk actually. Cosmetic products with sea weed in them rock for the skin!!
This soap sounds great! Another thing to try for my very perplexed skin.
i'm always skeptical about new soaps but it's time i pull away from drugstore and cosco loyals eh?

Sounds wonderful, unfortunatally, I'm on a no-buy. Blegh, parents these days.-Allya (http://paintedtips.blogspot.com/)
I am doing a follow-up on this lovely seaweed soap! My daughter who is in 30’s sadly, has skin issues big time and her cheeks are almost always in distress with acne etc. Recently she had some kind of allergic reaction which made her skin SO bad she said people would cringe when they saw her face! She went to a dermatologist and he ran some type of tests and said she is allergic to lanolin to start with. This past weekend I saw her after about maybe 2-3 months since our last visit (we live in different towns) and the first thing I noticed was that her skin looked AMAZING! I had some other acne treatment products I wanted her to try that I received from Meg but she didn't want to even take the change of using them for fear of more horrible outbreaks happening. I asked her “How did you get your skin to look so lovely!?” and she said….wait for it….”I have been using the CM NATURALS SEAWEED SOAP you bought for me and it’s like a miracle for my skin!” She told me she won’t use anything else! She said she just washes her face twice a day with the seaweed soap and only has to use a tiny bit so it’s actually lasted her for months now! I’m telling you it has been YEARS since her skin was clear like it was when I saw her this past weekend! My husband has been using it too; he has problems with large breakouts on his neck and face from time to time. He uses this soap in the shower on his troubled spots and it seems to really help him too! This little treasure appears to be a wonderful product and it’s so affordable! The customer service by the woman who runs the website is exceptional! She is such a lovely woman and will concoct personal products for you if you write or call her with specifics of what you are looking for! My email encounters with her have been wonderful each time and she always includes the most lovely samples to try with your order. I have to add here that when I saw my daughter I had to literally reach out and touch her cheek because it looked so soft and just about flawless!
Jeanasina!
I just added this to my wish list! :) I am hoping for even half of the great results that have been discussed!
I think everybody should get one for the "in case of" I dont really have acnea but sometime in a while.....I have pimples and co ( annoying)

Thank you so much for reviewing this. I have heard so much about it from past posts. It isn't something for me, but for my teenagers.
I bought one of the do it at home peels I have not yet tried it. It will be my first at home peel and i am kind of nervous but these good reviews are making me confident to venture the path of peels. Thanks for the review
Wow, this sounds great! I need to find out where I can buy it in my area, and give it a try
this sounds so great!gotta love organic products ;D
Makes sense - all the cleansers I really like have seaweed or kelp in them, or some form of algea. Right now, I'm using Desert Essence Thoroughly Clean face wash in the sea kelp flavor.

this looks really nice!
great!
I really need to stop reading these reviews. Every time I open my extremely tight purse strings (and I mean double-knotted tight) to buy a new product, another one comes around that sounds even better. Maybe after I use up all my other soaps and cleansers, I'll pry my purse back open to purchase this.
this sounds like tid be good! definitely a maybe
