CHIC DOUBLE SIDED APPAREL TAPE FROM SHOPGOGIRL.COM!
Goddess Granny here! We all have our own personal and ever so frustrating beauty-related "issue" that drives each of us up a wall: I've yet to meet of or hear of a female (or anyone from that matter!) that no matter how much they have going for them, how much they have access to, or how much they can spend in both time and money that isn't just miserable about that "one lil' annoying 'thang" on a regular basis.
Mine is gaposis...no,it's nothing you can coverup with a breath mint,it's the simple fact that I'm basically built like a Barbie on steroids and my body is a nightmare when it comes to fitting clothing properly. I go from a "classy Mimi of 4" to downright "sleazy" in a matter of seconds if I dare to wear a fitted blouse or God forbid, an animal print, LOL! (and I do love them!)
I can rarely button anything in front as it's intended!
I think there's nothing cuter and universally appropriate in most settings than the right jeans and a crisp white shirt, however if you have to resort to trying to safety pin the gaps in the middle of the shirt so that you aren't presenting TMI in public then you tend to go for a knit pullover...sighing here.
We've already had two earlier reviews on what I'm going to call the
"Trinity of Genius"
products from Shopgogirl, the lint removing sheets and the red sponge of awesomeness but my personal savior among their goodies is their "CHIC" double sided adhesive tape!
Packaged in a darling little white tin with a flip-top (as I've previously noted,I am a sucker for a great presentation)these pre-cut pieces of modesty-saving tape are just the right size and width to hold even the most wayward of shirt-fronts in place, tame a wild-ass bra strap,or simply allow someone such as myself who has to plan "which" bra to wear under everything to actually wear some of those cutaway shoulder tops and spaghetti strapped confections without having chunks of functional lingerie sticking out everywhere!
You simply peel away the coating from one side of the tape, apply where needed, then peel the other side and stick on whatever to close that gap! I have tried some other brands in the past but honestly, some were way too wide, too thick, too sticky, not sticky enough and I find these are just perfect for the task at hand! They hold tight and the adhesive comes away cleanly everytime...you can use them on fabric or skin with the same great results!
The company motto is: "For the Diva in all of us..." which I LOVE but even if I'm notting feelin' the Diva on that day, I find this product and everything I have tried from them to be well designed, practical and effective, and just as cute as can be!I love when things work as you'd expect and personally I feel that this company delivers in their product line! Great ideas that everyone can use, wonderful presentation and packaging, a user-friendly site that sticks to the facts, (which I appreciate!) and absolutely non-Diva pricing!
I don't know of anyone who wouldn't love to be gifted with something from them,I think it's the perfect "one size really DOES fit all" gift that will really be appreciated and actually used!
"CHIC" solves a HUGE problem for me and I'm hoping they offer a lil' something that will lessen your frustration as well! What do you ladies think of Chic? Enter Code MEG for 10% OFF anything on the site!

I gotta agree with Goddess Granny here. This stuff is awesome. I also suffer from the "gaping" that comes with button up shirts or cardigans, and this keeps that right in check. But my favorite use for this tape was for my open neck, low cut Valentine's Day dress which could have been slutty slash illegal but instead was just the right amount of sexy, thanks to the holding power of this tape. A very good product, and as an additional bonus, it did not rip 7 layers of my skin off when I removed it.
"Gaposis?" How funny! I tried these and was first charmed by the small, stylish container, reminiscent of how bandaids were once packaged but with far more sophistication. My next thought was, "Ah-ha! This is how JLo held that blue-green piece of clothing (a.k.a. dress) to her body several years ago during an awards show, just barely covering necessary body parts to prevent a wardrobe "malfunction." I LOVE THESE! There's nothing I can't use them for. Since I know at least one professional seamstress in this group, don't take offense--but the tape can also be used to do minor alterations until you have access to a needle and thread. This company just GETS IT RIGHT! Kudos to them . . .
Yep...another big boobied "gaposis" sister here. These things are a wonder for keepingme from looking like I should be hanging on Hollywood Blvd. The unfortunate thingabout being born with too big boobies is that everything automatically makes you looklike a slut. My proportionately endowed girlfriends can look sweet and sexy in anything...I just look like a tramp. These babies help tremendously. Only drawback...I usedthem on my daughters satin dress and as soon as she sat down the "sleek" materialeasily pulled away from the tape. But everyday fabrics work wonders. I can weara button up again without fear of someone peeking in on my girls!

Oh, back to the lint sheets: I'm making them a fashion statement. I open mine in public, slowly, flaunting them as one would a golden compact, because the packaging is lovely. I press gently against clothing and am nearly run over by women (and men) who want to know, "Where did you get those?" These adhesive strips are also an amazing way to catch anyone's attention. I tested mine by pulling out the tin in a supermarket and was aware that I was being eyed by several shoppers. Hey, all's fair in love and fashion!
Since I tend to sew almost all my clothes (yes Champ, I will admit it one of the sewers is me), I don't get gaposis. Gaposis is caused by an incorrect fit and especially incorrect placed buttons. You notice this mostly on inexpensive ready to wear. Always always make sure one button is exactly in line with your bust if you wish for something tight. However, and this is a big however, these little strips are absolutely wonderful on wrap skirts. I find wrap skirts tend to open when I sit and these work better than the ugly little pin I sometimes stick in. I also used them to hold very thin shoulder pads in on a top that needed something up there. I think these handy little items need to be in every ones dressing area and tucked into your glove box. A must buy.

dont forget that flat chested or small chested girls can benefit from this as well. i am a modest A cup but often i wear plunging necklines and i worry about showing too much as well.
I love these too. My favorite thing about this tape is being able to keep my bra straps in place. They also come in handy for little emergencies. You can fix a hem. If you lose a button just place the tape under the button hole. If your bra gaps open you just stick the tape right on your skin and your bra cup stays closed. Sometimes I have that problem, because one of my boobies is almost a cup smaller. Chic double-sided adhesive tape is quite versatile. I totally recommend it!!!

I love double sided garment tape. I never used to have gaps in my button-up shirts until I got *cough* enhanced. Now the tape is a part of my everyday wardrobe. Funny! I have also done a little hemming of pants with this stuff. I don't sew. :-) This tape is my best friend.
