OIL OF OLAY IN SHOWER BODY LOTION!

Kate here! I feel a little guilty, but I haven't had any just great new products to review lately except this one. But it's actually a Drugstore Deal! (Sorry Gigi, but I just couldn't help myself!) Now, I'm luxury cosmetics all the way. I don't even use any drugstore products except for toothpaste and $4 Le Petit Marseillais body washes which I import from France (my dad brings back 3 at a time from business trips), but this state-side product is AMAZING. Oil of Olay In-Shower Body Lotion.
I first discovered it last summer, staying with my friend Sally in Birmingham for another friend's Bachelorette weekend. I used my own 3 oz. or less shampoo and conditioner. But I always end up sacrificing my mini-body washes for foundation and moisturizer in my too-small 1-quart TSA friendly re-sealable bag.
So I took a shower at Sally's apartment and helped myself to her liter bottle of this stuff called "In-Shower" body lotion. I thought it was a good idea. I have a "routine" in the shower which it would easily fit into. I confess, I often forget to moisturize my legs and arms after getting out because I get distracted by choosing clothes, or deodorant or toner or Facebook. Oil of Olay was thinking of me!
All you do is slather on this thick, creamy, very hydrating cream all over your arms, legs, and torso and leave it one a minute or so then rinse off. The water beads up on your skin and get out of the shower, towel of and your skin is unbelievably silky smooth. It is amazing. Go, try, and report back!
If it makes my life easier and works like a dream and is a super reasonable price then I'm sold! Any other fans?

i was a bit disappointed that the 'water beading up' thing didn't happen but then again being that i'm a walking sahara desert one has to adjust their expectations. i LOVE the scent - and being anal retentive i bought no only the rinse off lotion but also the shea butter body wash. i still have to lube up my ashy legs and arms and my feet require their own regiment regardless of the season but all in all i love this product. thanks for the recommendation - you can't go wrong with something that costs less than $6! meg's rocks!
I have used this off and on for a couple years. It is enough lotion for the summer, but in the winter, I need a heaver loation.
Just went and got some...heading to the shower now and I hate showers,LOL! I am parched and paraying this will help!
This is going to sound odd--but I love the way this stuff makes my elbows feel! I have a few dry patches from riding out in the wind and this stuff works like a dream. I like that this stuff does not have a sludgy/greasy feel to it after I shower. The smell is pleasant and I don't have to worry about slathering on a lotion that has to take time to dry and gets rubbed off anyway.Thank you for this review Kate! (By the way, I love Le Petit Marseillais Shower Gel in Rose Ginger!)
I love this stuff! I was beyond excited when I found it. I tend to take an extremely long time to put lotion on my hold body, so this cut like 10 minutes from my morning routine. It does moisturize very well. Good choice!
How sweet can you get? Beautiful review! I had no idea that Olay has a shower lotion which rinses off (I thought they could generally be purchased at Crabtree & Evelyn and there's a sale online now for items like these at $3.00). Olay "gets it right." I wasn't enormously impressed with the skin care I reviewed, but they eventually come around. Trip to the drugstore tomorrow to try this . . .
My Mom gave me a huge bottle of this stuff and it's not too bad, skin feels good after showering. When I don't have time to moisterize after showering my skin doesn't feel itchy. Overall it's good but I'm not crazy about the smell.
It seems like there are a lot of in-shower body lotions now. It seems like a great idea. I haven't tried this yet. I did smell it the other day when I was at Wal-Mart, and it does smell great. I think I'm going to try this soon.
Hmm, in-shower stuff. I personally would like to apply my lotion after I take a shower. But it couldn't hurt to try!
I have loved this ever since I tested it for them a few years back. It rotates in and out of my rotation of stuff, but, I love it especially in winter when I am really dry. And I have to confess I like the Crabtree and Evelyn version as well.
This is my go to in the summer. It has just enough moisture to make you feel refreshed and not sticky in the heat and humidity like some creams do. However in the winter i need to use proper cream. I sometimes use this and then when i step out of the shower i apply another cream over it. It usually stops my skin from being too tight and gives it a nice "glow"
too bad i just got back from walmart otherwise i would have picked one up. sounds great for me since i rarely ever bother to moisturize after a shower :D i spend everyday in chlorine now for diving, so i really should be moisturizing my skin more :)
I tried this one and i like it.
I like it alot!!
I don't mind play products they are really easy to get, it's sold everywhere and it's really affordable, that gets points in my book
