BEAUTE COSMETICS LIQUI-GEL STAINS!
Goddess Granny here! Here we are in a brand spanking New Year and I for one am very excited about it! SO many new things to plot, plan, and share and it really IS like a clean-slate/do-over in many ways...wishing every one of you the most beautiful and happiest year of your life to come!
I always like to start things out with a hot bath, a glass of wine, and a few notes about what I might like to do, where to go, and also how to continue to morph my "middle-aged" look into something that continues to be current and if I'm lucky, even a bit sexy and stylish! I'm even starting a "style file" and intend to fill it with possibilities so as the year progresses,I can focus on how and who I'd REALLY like to become.... Outwardly at least!
We all know I love makeup in all it's glory and it's truly rare that an item really seems "new" to me: I won't say I've tried it all but at thispoint in life, I really sort of have, LOL! So,when I received "Beaute" cosmetics, pronounced "Bow-Tay" named for the creator Beau Nelson, lipstain in "Fever" I thought,"Oh hum...another nice lipcolor but nothing special"
Boy, was I mistaken!
Dead wrong as a matter of fact...these lip products ARE very new and very fabulous!
I am a fan of lipstains actually as I'm one of those who do NOT roll out of bed and into the gym or fitness class without covering the uglies and adding a hint of color so no one mistakes me for a displaced-vampire. A bit of lipstain applied to areas that need help wears well through a yoga-class and does the trick. Past favorites have included Stila and Vincent Longo.
Can I just say that the packaging and quality of the Beaute products rivals that of another indie-line created by that oh so fabulous makeup-man, Kevin Aucoin? Perfection in every way.
Encased in shining lucite that's substantial in weight and gleaming with class, that "upscale" look I just love...I'm not a snob and will adore a .99 cent eye pencil just as much if it's perfect but there's nothing like the feel of luxury and quality when you're applying your face if you have a choice. My lipstain shade of "Fever" is a deep current-raspberry in thetube: a sleek angled sponge applicator allows you actually sort of line your lip with the liqui-gel to insure you get everything covered. And cover it does...beautifully and evenly,no blotchiness like some other have! No watery-consistancy here or need to re-apply to get it on right: it's slick and smooth and goes on like a lipstick but the sort of settles into a perfectly juicy and ripe shade of "lip like you only MUCH better" shade of deep-rose with a hint of rosebud scent and a sweet taste. It feels so good going on you won't want to stop applying it. It's that color you have searched for forever, trust me!
Not red, not pink, but a shade that looks like you've been smooching someone hot for hours or at the very least, you've been smearing bruised rosepetals on your lips ,LOL!
The pigmentation is perfect and obviously, the technology is advanced on this dual-purpose product, the color is much more subtle than what's in the tube, non drying, and I want all four shades NOW! Wears like a dream and it's the best I have ever seen or heard of.
Although he's young and ambitious, the creator Beau's way of thinking is so of the moment:the most sumptuous shades, textures, and finishes ever created for not only the gratification of the makeup itself but also for the pleasure the application.Little luxuries DO mean a lot these days as do dual-purpose products that are divine! I am in love, totally impressed, and simply dying to have more shades of this asap!
This ol' dog has been taught a lesson and suggest you add Beaute productsto your list of "Must Try/Have's" for the New Year as well!
What color did you ladies receive and has Beaute Stain colored your New Year like it did for me?

I received the stain and without looking at the Beaute’ website for directions, I took matters into my own excited hands immediately! First I read the STAIN box which pointed out that inside I was going to find ‘stain for cheeks and lips! So without preamble, I whipped open the package containing the “Florun 500” shade of STAIN and I applied that particular shade immediately to my lips AND MY cheeks to see what I would see! Well...I can tell you that the cheek stain comes in a transparent glass type container so you can clearly see the shade within. To me the color appeared to be kind of a neon orangey pink. The applicator has a little soft spongy tip which glides effortlessly across your lips or cheeks! What I discovered was that the word STAIN means this stuff is really going to STAIN and STAIN means...THIS STUFF STAYS ON AND ON AND DOESN’T RUB OFF! This particular shade on me made my lips almost a hot pink (not a good color on me) and my cheeks - well - I looked over blushed for about 7 days in a row until it occurred to me I had overdone it!!! LOL! I was so excited about the possibility of a new blush option that I put it on AMPLY! Let me inject here that my makeup mirror - well...it gives you good details and clarity however...sometimes when I think I look perfectly fabulous in my makeup mirror under the 37 bulb lighting system I have hooked up so I can really SEE what’s going on...well later when I get to work, I realize the lighting is much different and well...I usually have WAYYYY overdone the lipstick/cheek area. People where I work are good about not saying anything at all versus saying “Oh! New Makeup HUH?” and then running off snickering behind their hands. This STAIN is so dramatic that you can actually make perfect Kewpie Doll circles on your cheeks and, if you do, they will stay like that all day long! I, of course, wouldn’t ever do that, but if you wanted to...you have the option of knowing this stuff has staying power! I need to work with the cheek stain application in a gentler less eager fashion going forward! I am clearly not a pro in the stain department (so far). If you can work it ever so gently you do have the potential for a lovely blush ALL DAY LONG (which I did love)! Of course having a flattering color on your particular skin tone will make this product one of your favorites I am sure! Now...it does say CHEEK/LIP stain...however IF you put it on your lips...again I will say...AMAZING COLOR STAYING POWER and if you use another lipstick over it to create your favorite tones...you’ll probably love it. I personally DID NOT LOVE the TASTE of the STAIN! Bleet! You WILL make an unhappy grimace at the taste; but again, this stuff lasts and last SO WELL that you actually have color STILL on your lips even AFTER STANDING outside waiting for the bus in the -29 degree weather here in Minnesota, your entire face wrapped up like a mummy behind some scratchy wool scarf to keep from getting freezer burn of the face! When I got to work and peeled off my winter freezeatorium disguise I STILL had fabulous COLOR on my lips EVEN THOUGH the rest of my makeup was hideously destroyed after frozen tears had trashed my carefully applied morning makeup routine and frozen on my face. This is a quality product!
Jeanasina!
I tried this awesome stain in Flouron and was a bit hesitant about the neon pinky/orange color. When trying it for the first time, I put way too much on. Now that I know how to use this wonderful super long lasting product, I want one in every color. Love love love it. I put a gloss over the stain to tone it down just a bit as the color isn't quite perfect for me and I think my lips look plumped and juicy.

Meg it works! I really liked it. It's not cakey and does crust up after 30 min. I didn't even need to reapply. The stain stays on great and gave my lips not only a great color but shape too.
So. I received this in "Fever" and I'm kind of in love with it. See, ladies, I am a failure at blush. I have one shade: a light pink, matte Cargo blush that I love and nearly never stray from. If I'm feeling a bit shimmery, I just layer over a bit of MUFE's Shine-On Powder or Cat Cosmetic's Angel Glow- it's sort of my "my cheeks but better" shade.Until I met Fever, that is. I was actually a little too conservative with it on my cheeks at first, and I barely noticed anything. Then I tried a trick I had seen somewhere- two little dots on the apples of your cheeks, and then blend. Wow. Wow. Wow! I had the most perfect "flushed" look I'd ever seen. And, the best part? It didn't cover up my freckles! (I have little, tiny, almost invisible freckles on my cheeks that get covered whenever I wear blush or any foundation heavier than a tinted moisturizer, but I love my freckles so.) It was such a nice, natural, "just came in from the cold" flush. I tried it on my lips, too, but I'm a bit of an amateur at lip stains, so it came out a bit messy. The cheeks, though- brilliant!
I felt the same way as sharond...WAY over applied this at first and ended upwith little vampire blood red dribbles down the side of my lips. My Twilightobsessed daughter may have liked the look but not for me. I found out this way that the "STAIN" stains and had a hard time removing it for reapplication. Alittle Cold Cream did the trick (I always keep a jar of the old fashioned wonderin my medicine chest) and I was ready for reapplication. Now a seasoned veteranI tried it again and LOVED it. The color (Fever) looked great on me and I almostnever get to pull off reds. I used a hint of gloss in the center of my lips and was perfection to go! Great product. Just go to the website first and learn some application tips if you're a newbie like me to stains! Bravo Beau!

I love lip stains especially without that watery texture.
i love lip stains but i don't always like if they don't give you time to work with them as they seep in right away

It's non-drying?!? Sounds amazing!
Non-drying? I've had an allergic reaction to other lip stains but this one may be okay!
im always hesitant to use stains. they usually dont spread out evenly on mylips. but maybe i should use some sort of primer before using a stain
I usually don't have much luck with stains, but some of the colours available are so gorgeous i may have to give them a go!
I read this review a few weeks ago, but couldn't find anywhere in the UK that sold these. I have been desperate to try "Fever" for myself. Finaly the wait is over, I found a site that sells to the UK: www.cocobeau.co.uk I'll write back as soon as my order comes through :D
I need to try a lipstain! And this brand looks amazing, just like Ilasmasqua!
I NEED TO TRY THIS. LOLLLi like how they put an example color on the side of the picture of the product. If they didn't put a picture of how it would look when put on your lips, I wouldn't know if I wanted to buy it.this is something I must try. : )
