MEGS MAKEUP PERFUME!
Goddess Granny here with a special edition of Fragrant Fridays!
To my way of thinking, the sense of smell is probably the one I enjoy the most! Yes,the others have their strong points but when I sit and think about how a moment changes my life, why someone won't leave my thoughts, or the fact that in my family, food is love, I am constantly reminded how how something or someone smells and it makes me stand up and notice!
I tend to categorize smells too...I know, there's a bit of freak in me too although it does wear red lipstick...men that are hot, women who are not, rooms that are right, and the electricity of preparation for one of "those" moments in life: I wore "White Shoulders" perfume to my first prom and "Miss Dior" when I married. My grandma smelled of "Arpege" and my Dad of whiskey and sunshine...they are gone now but I have their scent with me always to remember!
I am a perfume/scentaholic of the first degree! I love products, makeup, and all that stuff but if you asked me what I enjoy MOST about being a girl,I'd tell you perfume and high heels without batting a false eyelash!
I wore "Angel" for 15 years:I was in Hong Kong when it launched, that was in the day of the supermodel and glam-hype. There was a BIG fuss made at the Thierry Mugler store. I was given a large crystal bottle of the beautiful blue scent as a gift. It became "me" everyone knew me when I entered a room because of the luscious scent! I love it still but a couple of years ago,my husband actually whined he could "no longer smell it on me" I couldn't smell it either so I shed my skin yet again and stopped wearing it.I have since then been dabbling in the esoteric, the cult, the funky, the indy, and the unusual scents out there with no earthly intension of ever allowing one scent to define me again. Life is simply too short
I received a beautiful square-red box in my package from Meg today: it was carefully wrapped in tissue but I just knew it was something amazing by the scent...OMG...even on a cold,dreary-day it smelled of ripe fruits, seductive flowers, and that rare "thing" that happens when you are warm and totally satisfied...catching my breath here!
Beautiful little roll on bottle(which I LOVE!) with a pretty label announcing that it was indeed "Meg's Makeup" perfume...wow...I literally pulled the truck over to the side of the road (here in the boonies, you open your mail while driving down the dirt roads!) to savor the moment and dabbed a bit on.
My first reaction: I have smelled heaven. I kid you not!
Un-ashamedly female, ripe with current, maybe fig,and other rare and succulent fruits,I also sense pomegranate. The florals of the night and seduction like rare lillies, tuberose and maybe gardenia...literally one of THE most perfectly "man magnet" scents I have ever experienced and I simply couldn't stop sniffing! You'd only need this and something small of silk to seduce the most relectant of suitors...
As the day has gone on,it's morphed into an even more lush garden and mellowed out perfectly, growing warmer, deeper, and sexier! I don't think it has an end in sight in terms of how good it smells,LOL!
This is the scent of sirens,of goddesses,of women with Swiss bank accounts and multiple lovers! A scent that takes no prisoners and holds all captive without exception! I have sampled many perfumes and will tell you without a second thought that this one is amazing and will be with me for a long time to come!
I feel uber-glam with it on...I feel like I'm "Gilda" walking down that staircase...like Scarlett captivating Rhett...like I could do anything I desired just because I smell SO damn good, who could possibly refuse me?
It's not "unisex" or citrus-y, dry or reserved: It's passionate and deliberate, it will SHOUT to the world that you are a FABULOUS creature who will NOT go un-noticed and absolutely deserves attention! It will flirt with young and old men and you'll have long lines of admirers following you down the street, trust me! I am living in this scent the entire Holiday season and decking my own halls in a luscious way! Humbugs beware!
Do NOT Be fooled by the pricing: this is a rich,high-quality,complex and expertly crafted scent...Meg Darlin' I see you in every nuance of this fragrance and you've managed to bottle up what every women wishes she had in terms of glam and allow us all to simple roll it on!
We all get to be as iconic and amazing as you are because this to me personifies the glam, the humor, the confidence, the style, and the love of one helluva' beautiful girl....YOU!
It's amazing and I know I'm gushing:GET THIS ASAP! I wish to hell I had sampled it before but I will be gifting it to women I love-believe me, it's too good not to share!
Buy it here and be prepared to smolder!

Wow! Ok people, you know different scents and fragrances effect different people in different ways - that’s why there are billions of scents out there to chose from so we can all represent/reflect/ ourselves to others! I was super excited to try Meg’s signature scent after reading about it, so I tried it and it’s hard to even write this but Meg always says to be true to your review...so I have to say it’s just way too strong/potent for me. The rule I learned long ago and always have gone by is... if you can smell a fragrance on yourself, then it’s too strong and I could smell it on myself all day long! So...I went for test # 2 and put it on a week later when my boyfriend was home and he was very vocal about his dislike of the strong overwhelming scent I had on - even hours later to the point that I had to change clothes and take a shower because he was definitely not a fan. So...I think this scent will resonate with the people who are drawn to it and for some people like me, it’s just not a match. I did love the cute roll on and the idea I could easily carry it in my purse. Maybe my chemical makeup conflicts with the scent - also, I love and gravitate to fresh clean scents - fragrances like I just took a super clean shower or gentle soft barely there - please-let-me-get-closer-so-I-can-smell-you-again smells and this was rather the opposite of my usual categories for me.
Jeanasina!
I am in love with...Megs make up perfume, YUMMY! This is the perfect scent I have been looking for, I love the roll on, super cute and travels nice, my only question is when will this be bottled up and sold at Sepora...? It smells of red currant, and some kind of flower that i have been missing my whole life, I am so happy to have found this, thank you Meg...you rock!!!!
I have to admit when I first opened this perfume, I thought that this was way to strong for me. However, I went and tried it and after a couple hours it tempered to be just right. I happened to go shopping that day and a fellow shopper behind me in line asked what I was wearing. I told her and she couldn't get it right. I wrote it down for her on a scrap paper and she said she just had to get some. My husband liked it after a couple hours also. Love the packaging and the nice little rollon makes it easy to put in any size purse you may be carrying. I suggest people give it a try, it does seem to adapt to the person wearing it. Good job Meg.

!!!!!!!!!WARNING!!!!!!!!!!! Hmmmmm where to begin? Am i the first straight male to write on this site? I have to just let all the women on this site know the dangers of this product and it's effect on the human male. When I was hit with the whiff of Meg's Make Up Perfume is was blinded. I had no idea what was happening to me. I couldn't breath or see.... but we were in a confined car... I asked what it was and She told me. She assured me it was ok since she had just put it on..."It would dissipate." I was in the back seat so we managed to open the window a crack to help me live. Then, slowly, once i stopped coughing. It started to work it's magic, the voodoo in the ingredients... I am not sure what Meg was thinking in the devilish design of such a fragrance. This little venom concealed under its pretty flower label in it's homunculus bottle, quickly turned me into Jean-Baptiste Grenouille. No! silly, the perfume didn't turn me into a killer.... It "dissipated" up my nostrils confiscated of my brain and filled my head with illicit thoughts. There was nothing I could do to control my desire, powerless... Just filled with an uncontrollable desire to kiss this beautiful woman wearing Meg's Make-Up.... Yes, at first it hit me on the nose like a baseball-bat but slowly it drew me in closer and closer... until i could not resist putting my lips on her's in an attempt to consume what may be the most "man-controlling" scent ever created. It quickly turned me on to this site and I created "Megken".
Oooooohhhhhh.....I LOVE that a man has checked in here!!! SO excited that the effect I "assumed" it was having on the red-blooded men around me was not just in my head!!!Nothing better than a man who goes out the door of your place smelling a bit like he's had a helluva' good time and this scent almost guarentees it! Don't be a stanger!
I am going to profess that I understand nothing about "notes" in perfumes. Topnotes, undertones, bits of this scent and bits of that. Other than really obvious things like vanilla, jasmine or gardenia I am never able to identify anyparticular scent so I'm not a good judge of breaking down a scent and reallygiving it a Vexy review. I just know what I like and what I don't. And whenit comes to perfume I'm all over the board. I like different scents for differentmoods which explains why I have my $5 bottle of Coty Wild Musk, my sophisticateddCarolina Herrrera, and a bottle of Poison from about 1986 that I still dab onevery once in a while. So where does Megs come in all of this...anywhere andeverywhere. First off I love the roll on bottle. It helps alleviate fears ofit spilling in your purse and it doesn't waste ANY product. Just apply effectivelyand not too much. The first time I tried it I WAY overdid it and the scent isstill lingering in my bedding (good thing but it was overpowering the first night). So the great thing here is that just a dab will do ya' and thats saves $$...whodoesn't want that right now? At first I wasn't sure if the blend was right formy skin but just like the others...after a few hours I saw how intoxicating thescent can be and how utterly feminine it makes you feel. This is not for a wall flower or faint of heart. This is a notice me I am WOMAN kind of perfume. It makes me want to wear a low cut red dress and pin curl my hair. Gigi is rightabout the younger market might wanting something a little more Unisex but I saybring back the truly feminine. I love my husband but I don't want to smell likehim. I imagine a toilette water version of the perfume might give it a lighteredge and a broader appeal but in all honesty...if you just dab very very lightlyyou'll get the same effect. Thanks Meg for putting yourself out there and beingboth BOLD and BODACIOUS! I'll treasure my bottle!
Love, hugs and shoes...Angie
I feel a little Rodney Dangerfield coming on...
The scent is amazing, long-lasting and yummy! I also love the convenient packaging and ease of use of the roll-on feature. Great for travel and the perfect gift! Way to go Meg!!
I finally got my perfume in the mail! It made a wee little detour to Colorado despite my shipping instructions to send it to Minnesota. Oh well. Anyway, I think it's a heavier scent, but then again I love those! This scent is right up my alley of Chanel No. 5 and Agent Provacateur Maitresse. I enjoy the staying power it has over the course of the day; however, I still have tried to put it on at least 30 minutes before walking out the door in the mornings so as not to offend any sensitive noses (like one of my best friends I sit next to in class). I can't wait to test this "man-controlling" scent this weekend... muah hahaha!
When I got this review in my inbox I just knew I had to get some... I have been desperately searching for a new perfume lately, and the more of your reviews I read the more I have been dying to try this. I just placed my order and I cannot wait to get it! I will follow up...
That scent sounds like it smells so good. I'm a huge fan of roll-ons. I do love the packaging too. It is so cute. The way you described this fragrance is a seller.
must.buy.this.
I will definitely be back to write a lengthy review. I need a new scent and the promise of fruity/floral gets me every time.
After reading strawberryfields review,Ive gotta try this.If its similar to chanel no5 and maitresse, then my mom would adore it,shes a major perfume person and her absolute favourites are chanel no 5 and estee lauder youth dew,if its a floral oriental shes guarenteed to love it.

I received this in the mail today. I have to be honest, when I first opened it up and rolled it on, I was a little disappointed. Others have mentioned that it's a strong scent, and I would have to agree with that...at first. After letting it soften about ten or fifteen minutes, it becomes...very lady-like...yet, different. It's definitely intriguing, and it's quite growing on me as we speak. I've yet to give it the boyfriend test...this is not my normal type of scent, I can tell you that. It's very floral...old-fashioned, yet on the edge, somehow. I'm usually more flirtatious...if my usual scents are a sly wink, Meg's Makeup perfume is a demure downward glance...a slight blush...the only proper word is "Lovely". It's a scent for a mood that I didn't have any other fragrance to fill..I will wear this for the next day or two and see what kind of comments I get...if it turns out that after a time it doesn't suit me, I will definitely be sending it to my mom because I think it's right up her alley...All in all, I'm happy with the purchase, and for the price?! Goes without saying.
I'm intrigued by the fig scent, hope to smell this soon!
Wow, that sounds amazing! Meg, did you personally work on this scent?
