CLINIQUE CLARIFYING MAKEUP CLEAR SKIN FORMULA! SATURDAYS AT SEPHORA!

Sat, 11/22/2008 - 11:40am
  • Saturday At Sephora
  • Face

Katie here, I just don't know what the problem is. I guess it's hormones. But for the last 9 months or so, my skin that has always been relatevely "problem-free" just likes to break out constantly. I used to only break ou on my chin or forehead but I get them in the middle of my cheek now! I think I'm even more self-conscious about my skin than I would have been at 13 or 14 because I know I'm doing everything right! I take my makeup off at night; I moisturize and tone. I do masks! So I appreciate any product that helps in any way!

This summer I sort of got into the Clinique Acne Solutions line - I love the Salycilic Acid clarifying lotion just to dry out all those zit-y suckers! And it really does smooth your skin. Now usually, you think wearing a complexion product (foundation, tinted moisturizer, etc ) is sort of counterproductive to healing your skin. So basically daytime = pore clogging, nighttime = treatment). But with the Clinique Clarifying Makeup Clear Skin formula the you get makeup and treatment in one. And it really works! Its a "foundation that gives oiily skin a smooth, perfecting look. Helps skin stay easily blemish free - controiling oil, minimizing pores. A soft-matte, velvety finish keeps skin flawless-looking all day."

And at $20.50 it's about half the cost of a lot of high-end cosmetic foundation prices. Plus it has a gorgeous finish.

I'd love to hear what anyone else who's tried it thinks:

Clinique, BUY IT HERE!

Ah the fun of hormones and skin! I had the same problem--pretty good skin until I hit 24 then acne! My skin was worse than when in high school. I finally went to the dermatologist and had to go on Accutane. Point being that my derm told me this happens to lots of women--skin freaks out due to hormones in mid-20s.

Oooooh! You are SOOOO right! This stuff WORKS and IS a bargin!!! I got a terrible case of "uglies" when in LA for 10 days, not sure why maybe the water in the hotel? Anyways,my skin went haywire and nothing I had packed was doing the trick so I made a little excursion to "Sephora" at Hollywood/Highland and along with a couple of hundred dollars worth of color and scent,I also snagged a tube of this and within a couple of days,my skin was looking and feeling MUCH more presentable! My only "negative" is the rather limited color range but the coverage,healing-properties,and general great effects is worth maybe not having the perfect match to me...I wouldn't use it everyday but it's a truly effective foundation for skin that's mis-behaving!SO glad you brought it out of the dark and shared it here!

Sounds pretty fabulous Kate and mjsred. I hear you on the "uglies" what is it with that? Zits can be so unfair.

I would like to consider this. But I am not a foundation person. Would this be appealing to someone who does not normally wear foundation and is a little uncomfortable with a mask feeling?

I haven't tried this makeup.  But I have tried some of the other products from the acne solutions kit.  I particularly love the facial toner and the moisturizer.  These things really help your skin if you have problems with acne.

ohhh!! I use clinique products and i guess this should work too! : )I really like clinique and i'm pretty sure this would work really well : ).I used to break out only on my forehead because I had bangs, but after I started to use foundation or blemish coverups, I starts to break out on my cheeks. JUST LIKE WHAT THIS AUTHOR SAID. DD:so hopefully I'll have time and money to buy this and try it : )
