TRADER JOE'S LAVENDER SALT SCRUB! MONDAYS WITH MEG!
Meg here, Happy Monday (aargh!) With the evolution of man (woman) I believe fully in the "hunting" and "gathering" instinct. I believe with me, it never went away. I of course pertain this to shopping. While beautiful boutiques and the highest end department stores are fun...They take the fun of the hunt away. My primal instincts emerge at outlets, discount stores and mid-range chains with sales. For me, there is truly no "high like a bargain".
When women tell me they hate to sift and sort through piles, I hear them but I don't agree. I have found at the bottom of a hasty, thrown together bin a 95% Off St. John blazer and I get dizzy with euphoria.
Thus my review of Trader Joe's Lavender Salt Scrub. Oh, I wasn't expecting much. It was a last minute throw into my basket. The price was obscenely low and I thought I would use it until I got around to get its pricier counterparts. TJ's has shown me the light and after my hot morning shower I can say.. I'm scrubbing and saving and loving this baby!
I wish I could use an actual picture, I have to use of the same product but a different scent. If you're a lavender fan though, this is definitely for you. An annoying thing on the TJ website is that, because they rotate their products there isn't a catalog of their inventory. This Lavender Salt Scrub seems to be a very popular item for them though. I've seen it in the store everytime I've gone in.
The actual product left my skin incredibly soft, the scrub was really emolient yet exfoliant. The description right on the generously sized tub is "This product is so full of natural ingredients you could eat it!" (I'm not recommending you eat it by the way.) It's chock full of vitamins and oils and it's just fabulous!
So here's my two-cents for the day! Because EVERYONE can afford two-cents! Go grab a tub of this the next time you're in Trader Joe's grabbing your Two Buck Chuck! You'll love it!
m I right or what? Any other TJ Salt Scrub fanatics?

I actually bought this stuff because I read that Jennifer Aniston uses this and anything Jennifer Aniston uses (despite perhaps relationship advice books) sign me up. Anyways I loooooooooooooove this stuff. It makes my skin so soft, it smells great and it has really evened out the skin tone on my chest. The grapefruit scent is great too, however it can sometimes burn a little bit due to the intense citrus. I have found however, that as you use it, the liquid gets used up and you end up with a lot of just dry salty solution. I just add some olive oil and it is as good as new! I definitely recommend this product.
Trader Joe's, really? Great find Meg! I'll be picking this up next time I'm there so I can check it out.
seriously... ANYTHING OF TRADER JOE'S winds up being a hit!!!! Everythingwe've gotten from there, we just love... from food to beauty products.. I credit their vitamin e oil for that fact that i've got NO stretch marks after having my lil guy (and i was NOT a little pregnant person... i was HUGELY pregnant... the guys in my office laid bets that he'd be a 10 pounderat birth, thankfully he was only 6 lbs & 13 ounces BUT... i'll admit i looked like i was carrying a 10 pounder)!!!! so YES... i'll definitely give this TJ's product a try... and i just havtasay their jojoba oil & vitamine e oils are sooooo CHEAP and soooo terrificthat if you're ever there... get em!
Hey there ladies who are asking what Trader Joe's is...its a chain of natural and organic foods and products that is really predominate on the West Coast. I've heardthe East Coast version is Trader Vic's (and I think Vic's is in Hawaii too). Anyway, they pride themselves on affordable prices (ie Two Buck Chuck...it's a $2 bottle of wine that's PRETTY DARN GOOD) and doing things a little differently. It's not your average grocery store for sure! Lots of things you find in their stores can be foundonline or at Whole Foods too. Hope you one day get to experience them...if not...I'msure our local Health Food store has something comparable!
Love, hugs and shoes...Angie
oooh, great find! i have just gotten into shopping at trader joe's, but i haven't ventured into their beauty products yet (i've been mostly sticking to the chocolate-covered products). i'm definitely going to check this out the next time i'm there.
Ooopssss! I press enter before I was done. I was saying the staff is dress in Hawaiing shirt and they are super friendly.I'm going today to get myself a jar of purify. Thanks Meg!
Adding my 2 cents just because I like the sound of my own...tapping on the keyboard. I first tried the lavender scrub about 4 years ago and am addicted to it. I get the grapefruit too. Grapefruit in the morning to wake me up, lavender at night and before seeing my man. He LOVES the smell/touch of my skin when I use this.TIP FOR AVOIDING DRY-OUT: Just stir with your hand before each use. The oils stay distributed down to the last grain.I scoff- CHORTLE and GUFFAW I say - when I walk past a lavender salt scrub elsewhere priced at or near $20. Trader Joes is the bees knees most definitely.Regarding where it's located- mostly on the coasts, tho a couple years ago they opened stores in Chicago and throughout Michigan. Imagine my embarrassment when I brought a bottle of TJ's MarketPlace Cab ($2.99/bottle) to my aunt for the holiday and she knew the price offhand. *gulp*Here's a map of their current locations: http://www.traderjoes.com/locations.aspcheers-

I have this in the tangerine scent! i like it a lot! It was my saving grace when i burned my legs in the pool earlier this summer. When my legs started to peel I began to look like a leper(ick!!). This lovely scrub got rid of the icky flakes. No ashyness here ladies.
Idiot alert!!! What is Trader Joe's? I have never heard of this store/chain. Any store similar to this one?

This a probably a stupid question, but is this only for body? I love the Suki Lemon-grass scrub, but the price is a bit much for me on a budget. Could this semi-substitute? I know it couldn't replace. Or do you ladies have any suggestions on a quasi-Suki?
I love Trader Joe's! I usually go there first and then stop to WholePaycheck to get what I couldn't find at TJ's.They haveGREAT prices compare to Wholefood and some interesting stuff. The whole experience shopping there is very cool too. I love that's it's not your ordinary grocery store. The staff is dress
Mmmmmm sounds good..... The pizzas there are AMAZING! They're mini too so they're cute
Trader Joe's is one my favorite stores and I will have to check out this salt scrub when I am there next time. They have a great selection of fruits, nuts, and other staple food items.

I just googled Trader Joe's Lavender Salt Scrub and this popped up! How exciting that Megsmakeup.com is coming up on google searches!
Shame we don't have Trader Joe's in the UK, not that I know of anyway. Salt scrub sounds revitalising! Sure would love to scrub away dead skin cells.
I wish i had this!
