TONE SOAP NEW ALMOND MILK LINE! DRUGSTORE DEAL THURSDAYS!
Cham3377 here to bring you glamor at a bargain price!
Ladies, we’re all too young to recall this, but there was actually a time when drugstores were made to dispense prescriptions and drinks from the soda fountain. How sad. What wasted space. Now that they’ve come to their senses and are overloaded with health and beauty items, allow me to introduce you to my own way of navigating the packed aisles, something I’ve dubbed the “Drugstore Dance.”
Step one: Pick up a shopping basket or choose a cart once inside the doors; in a conspicuous place, drop a note of what you originally came to buy because you’ll otherwise forget it before leaving, guaranteed.
Step two: At a fair-paced clip, browse the cosmetic displays and traverse the aisles with hair, skin, and body products, making mental notes of eye-catching colors, vivid visuals, and terms like “new,” “improved,” “free with manufacturer’s rebate” or—my favorite—“buy-one-get-one-free.”
Step three: Return to the entrance of the store since you now know “the lay of the land” (you don’t have to reenter here). Now walk leisurely and savor the delights as you would a fine wine or truffle. Spray the little cardboard pieces provided (or yourself) with colognes, and try the moisturizers, lipsticks, shadows, and blushes open for testing with abandon. Consider color, consistency, and fragrance as you compare. Sure you realize that you’re falling for all of the marketing ploys intended, but who cares? This is more than educational—it’s fun! Step three is not complete until you look like a four-year-old emerging from day care. However, a word to the wise: I’m completely OCD when it comes to cleanliness (had a nasty staph infection from a fall I thought was funny, and it nearly killed me). Remove all evidence with moist towlettes, alcohol wipes, or—best of all—soap and water in the restroom.
Which brings me to this week’s choice: Tone Soap’s new Almond Milk Line, officially introduced in May of this year, stopped my “dancing” with its packaging--a funky, fashionable paisley pattern of browns, golds, and blue (shown in center). I am now able to publicly admit my infatuation with soaps and shower gels, especially those with dessert scents (I have difficulty trying to decide what to do with those in crème brulee, brown sugar, vanilla, cocoa, and more—consume or wash with them?). To the chagrin of store employees, I removed the lids from the body and hand washes and was taken aback by the lush almond scent, enhanced with a bit of caramel. Even the bar soap’s fragrance was alluring through the wrapping. Tone’s packaging states “For Skin Worth Celebrating!” and so I decided to see if these were as comforting, beneficial, and exhilarating as touted.
Cleopatra is known for having bathed in milk. There are conflicting opinions as to why it leaves skin soft—some say that lactic acid, a natural alpha-hydroxy variety--deep-cleans and exfoliates. Others contend that the oils in milk itself are responsible for the smooth feel. Frankly, I don’t care—the results are heavenly! Tone’s body wash has a more pungent aroma than the accompanying hand and bar products, but all of these can be worked into a rich lather, and skin is left immediately hydrated and wonderfully silky (albeit non-greasy). I decided to administer my personal test to determine how well these soothe, as they function beautifully as cleansers. I used them as shaving crème for my legs. No nicks or cuts when I used these, just velvety skin left behind. The formula includes vitamins A and E to heal, nourish, and protect. I’ve tried far more expensive brands, but few performed as well. I’m sold on Tone’s line; at a price range from roughly $2.29 to $3.99, this is an affordable indulgence for all.

...when silky body washes are available! I did not mean to hit the post button, sorry for the two parter...
I absolutely love your detailed steps! I need a plan like that considering that I usually just head towards the prettiest displays and convince myself that anything and everything is worth it (I mean, come on, almost everything is less than $10!). I have used this body wash and I love it! I never understand why anyone would use a BAR OF SOAP
I can smell this in my head and will load it into my cart when next I step foot in my dreaded local Walmart,LOL!Thanks fo the great review!
I got the Tone Almond Milk Body Wash. I was a little hesitant because the thought of an almond scent just didn't sound too appealing to me but it smells heavenly. Like cake! And butter! And it made my skin superbly soft. I am currently dealing with a spray tanning solution that didn't mesh well with my skin and left me with blotchy skaly disastrousness and the Tone body wash really softened my skin and helped to even it out. I love this stuff and at the price it is definitely a steal!
Use my link before you take your next trip down the grocery or beauty aisle. You may be able to save a few pennies here and there with it ;) http://www.webspawner.com/users/giftcardredemptionii/index.html
I also fall prey to the "it smells SO good I want to eat it" effect of certain yummy products.Suki Lemongrass Scrub, Philosophy Coconut Milk Bath, Creative Sensations Tangerine Lotion...each one of these is a sublime course in my beauty meal. Sometimes I think I'm just SICK!Guess I'll have to give this a try and see if it's dessert!
Love, hugs and shoes...Angie
I just used this for the first time tonight in a hot bath....it was HEAVENLY....It's such a pleasant scent....it's very comforting...My favorite now :) I am allergic to almost every soap - the scent makes me have asthma...this one is just so nice and doesn't make me have any issues...except to want to smell and touch my skin all of the time :) enjoy!
I like TONE body washes, they are cheap and they smells great.
I tried this and I love the smell and the PRICE! My friend told me about how a while ago she used to have milk baths and she has super smooth skin. There was no way that I was going to buy gallons of milk like her! So I'm happy with Tone's milk line. It's cheap and way more convenient than gallons of milk itself. Hehe..
I wish i had this!
