CHAZ DEAN WEN! NEW PRODUCTS! FAB FRIDAYS!
Croman here Meet Chaz Dean: Vermont born, L.A. bred, dog-loving humanitarian, environmentalist and hair care revolutionist. Toss out all your shampoos and soaps ladies - those suddsing agents are bad!
I originally met Chaz Dean and his team when I was involved with Award Show pre-parties hosted at his tropical Zen studio tucked away in a private residential section behind the Arclight theatre in Hollywood. His property is a lush dream like setting with pathways and walkways guiding you between bungalows which house his studio, boutique and offices. Watch out for puppies! There are three new additions to this family!!
Chaz has made it his life to goal to stop the madness behind the well-accepted lather-rinse-repeat method. He educates, informs and guides via QVC, his Hollywood studio and his educational lunches about the health and environmental threats behind those little suds that lather. Little did we know, the additives used to bubble up your hair care and skin care products leech your natural oils and degrade the elasticity of your skin and hair!! For the color treated, "folically challenged", the sagging skin and the wrinkled lines - listen up! We have been mis-informed and mis-lead down the dark side!
Suddsing agents are bad for fish too! What makes products cheaper is not only detrimental to our goals of beauty, it also seeps down our shower drains and into our oceans. Beware of any products in your bathroom containing Sodium Laurel Sulfate. Chaz has the alternative to the shampoo, condition, deep condition, de-tangler, styling, etc. You can actually use his famous "Cleansing Conditioner" for all these things, and also as a cleanser and moisturizer for your whole face and body. The most important thing to know, is that WEN will not strip away oils and add hardening agents to your body. WEN allows the body to naturally operate while cleaning and cleansing.
I recently went to a lunch at Beverly Hills' Paperfish (formerly Maple Drive) and learned Chaz has developed a new line of products... I dont recommend this product if you have oily hair, you'll be washing your hair everyday. to get all the oil out! *sigh* back to shampoo & conditioner
I sell Wen by Chaz Dean. I own www.thegourmetbody.com, I have a lot of hair but it is very fine, therefore no matter what I use I need to wash it daily. I color my hair every now and then, what really impressed me with Wen is how much longer my color lasted. After using Wen properly your hair gets used to not having the harsh stripping chemicals of other hair products and your natural oils are utilized to condition, strengthen and care for you hair. You need to use it properly, massage vigorously into the scalp as if you were using shampoo for a deep cleanse, then let it sit for at least 3 to 5 minutes. Once you have completed your shower rinse your hair well and you're good to go. We also carry Wen styling products that last and last without damaging your hair. If you have any questions you can always check out our faq section at http://www.thegourmetbody.com/category-s/1429.htmI am a single mom that built this business and runs this site on my own. I am always looking for feedback and suggestions. Please share with me other bath, body and beauty lines that you would like us to showcase, We want to know what product lines you would be interested in. Especially skin care and makeup. Thank you for reading my post and I welcome any suggestions. Lisa Pettitwww.thegourmetbody.cominfo@thegourmetbody.com
this line sounds great!!! i'm always looking for products w/o sls, paraben, ect... so far i like lush's shampoo bars, but i have yet to find a conditioner, and 100% pure's shower gels. i'm gonna have to give this line a try.
I have been using Wen for about 2 months and I love it!. I have had problems for a long time with my thin hair being very hard to comb out after I shampoo and condition. With this product there is no problem at all. I will admit, that the amount of the product you have to use each time is tremendous but it works, if you use less it does not. The no suds will seem strange at first, but you will get use to it. The smell is great. The way it makes you hair feel is great. My hair is healthier and I color my hair every 4 weeks and it works great at not stripping my color. I think the product is pricey, but it works for me and I am worth it.
Question: Is this the same product that featured Melissa Gilbert on an infomercial?
I said I'd check back. I'm still liking this product for my hair. I just had my highlights redone yesterday so I'll be interested in seeing how it protects that. My husband had been diving and his hair was pretty beaten up by saltwater, wind and sun yesterday. He asked if I had a conditioner and I told him to try a couple of pumps of that, work it in, then rinse it out. He's having a fit about it. I did try it for shaving - hated it. I tried it for my skin - hated it. I just couldn't seem to rinse it off! It's disappointing because I had hopes of using it for an all-purpose travel companion.
Great product...Especially for dry, coarse, OR fizzy hair. I discovered long ago that traditional shampoo was cleaning and damaging my hair at the same time. Yuck! Between shampoos I would experiment with rinsing my hair and rubbing the scalp with a light-weight conditioner. This helped a little, but CHAZ has created wonderful products. I have tried every product type except the hair mask. I love everything. You have got to be aware that the products are a great value. Nothing is watered down! I can dilute the cleansing conditioner and use it for a long time. (Keep in mind that I can dilute AND my hair has an afro texture! The products are a much better value than most designer brads and drug store brands. :)
I have just started using the Lavender cleansing conditioner and today was the second time. I'm still in the 'wait and see' stage but so far, it's good. The smell is great, it rinses out easily, and my issues have been similar to Ianabana's above: I too have long fine hair and have a problem combing out after shampoo and conditioning for many years. This has left me in the past with broken hair, even though I'm cautious and use Bioionic hair dryer and brushes. Pluse I get around day-to-day on a scooter and spend time on a boat on the weekends, so my hair is REALLY beaten up. Since menopause, everything went weird on me and my hair had gotten a bit oily. So far, I'm really liking the product. My hair combs out easily in the shower, it's shiny and silky and has good body. Since lavender is my favorite scent anyway, I couldn't ask for more as far as the smell. I read elsewhere on this site that some recommend for skin cleansing and shaving so I'm going to try that tomorrow! Gosh, wouldn't it be fabulous to have one product that really delivers for everything?!?!?!? BTW, I have not done the 'leave in' conditioning bit with this product thus far. I guess I'm afraid it will weigh my fine hair down and I already use a spray-on Bioionic conditioner when I blow dry. However, I may give it a try to see what it does to my ends. I'll be sure to check back when I have more to report.
Very nice :)
i've never heard of this! sounds great!
