FRAGRANT FOOTINGS!
Meg here, I have a confession, if I were an Indian I would be called "Cheif Stinkfoot". Sexy, I know. I do have to preface it, It does depend on the shoe. 15 years ago, do you remember when Sam & Libby made those cute ballet flat shoes? I took my sophomore self to the local Payless and bought them in every color. I was about to engage in a hot and heavy make-out session when I kicked one ballet flat to the floor and had my Cotillion date say "Oh my God, what is that smell?" Mmmm, frisky!
Alright, Maybe $9.99 faux leather shoes do not help the cause but whats a girl to do? I mean, there's not really another step I want to add to my routine and foot deodorant just doesn't seem very glamorous. A woman applying a sexy lipgloss=glamour, A women applying foot deodorant=ick.
It could be just me, but if scent wafts upwards and heat maximizes the, uh, um scent (yes! Scent! That's it) then maybe I want to have a flowery bloom or citrus burst fragrant my feet.

Garden Party Lemon - what freshly sliced lemon adds to pretty cocktails
Kiss Me Till Morning Mint - a breathtakingly cool mint
Bare Shoulder Smolder Jasmine - a freshly-picked-from-the-garden essence
I LOVE that these are just peel and stick, no funny glues or tapes needed! We got all different sizes to test, from full sole to just ball of feet in an array of the three lovely scents. Now that I'm an adult I'm lucky enough to have a healthier budget for fine footwear, this does help keeping your foot from smelling like the sewer. The only thing is, now it's summer, and it's hot outside and I'm wearing ridiculously high heeled sandals and I want to cuddle up next to someone and I want them...not to pass out.
Ladies, let me know if fragrant footings make you brave enough to march into Payless and buy some $9.99 knock-offs?

The Jasmine smells so nice! I've used pair in different sneakers for when I go running and biking and they've worked fine. No complaints here.
I was at a work happy hour the other nigt and this really cute girl pulled a can of foot spray out and was going at it. Spreading her toes and everything with male company present! I was horrified for her. I'm going to buy some for myself and maybe her as well.
Thats what I was talking about in my post!!!! Coasters! The stinky Sam and Libby Knock-Off!!
They smelled great as soon as I opened my package! And they do add a comfy cushion to my shoes. I don't suffer from smelly feet, but I do like yummy scented things! I have a few pairs of shoes that are half a size too big and there inserts helped them fit much better. I got the lemon scented ones and they smelled divine!
When I first got the Fragrant Footings I thought it was a sign from above, that I could finally wear Converse again. Before taking this big step, I tried them in my sneakers and their scent worked perfectly, but I had real trouble keeping them in place after a few days of use. Well, I guess they're not meant to stay there forever, but they should stay glued for more than three days, right? It's not like I run or anything. I barely walk. I am still not wearing Converse (they get so nasty!) and have put the Fragrant Footings in my shoe closet - at least they make the closet smell nice!
Greenie, you're cracking me up. I forgot all about Coasters. Did we used to draw them with giant bows on them? Anyways, we definately could have used Fragrant footings back then!
I haven't suffered from smelly feet in a while. I think when I was in highschool or college and couldn't afford many pairs of shoes, my same tired old pairs gave me the stinkfoot! But what a great idea to have a scented insole! I received the mint and its really nice and refreshing. I must say, these are really soft and do add a comfort level to your shoes. I will definately have my sister try as her sneakers smell like a cross between throw up and trash.Great idea!
I am going to take this opportunity to plug the ultra absorbent Summer Soles in general. I have a MAJOR sweaty feet problem (sorry I'm sure no one really wants to know this) and these have been a life saver! (Not to mention shoe saver). I like to think of them as a maxi pad for your shoes. :) They really are great and will save you a ton of money by not having to purchase new shoes. Wait...when was buying new shoes ever a problem?Anyway, I am looking forward to trying this new fragrant line.
So sad this has to be my first post, but it has to be done!If you were an Indian, you'd be following the Hindu tradition of washing your feet before you walked in the door and your poor feet would not be stuck inside stinky shoes for most of the day. I'm assuming that the native Americans (who've no relationship at all to the subcontinent of India, the Indus River Valley or the people who've civilized that area for thousands of years)probably also do not run around with "stinky feet". Sorry just had to say it! Do these things have some kind of antibacterial protection? Wouldn't you be better off sprinkling baking soda or something on those cushy gel inserts I've been seeing everywhere? I'm thinking essential oils combined with whatever bacteria is making feet so smelly isn't going to smell so nice in the long run. Puts me in mind of my freshman year suitemates who would spray french vanilla glade (or the like) after using the bathroom, creating a concoction of poop overlaid with vanilla. ugh!
These Fragrant Footings passed my two most difficult tests: in my fabulous furry winter Technica boots in the NYC winter AND in my 4" Jimmy Choo stilettos for an ENTIRE evening /day full of wedding. They passed with SOARING colors. First of all, I live in NYC, and in the winter, fabulous furry boots are a must (and if you are vegan, faux-fur = fine.) The problem is, these said boots are not meant to be worn with socks... they keep your toesies warmer without them, so they tend to get a wee bit smelly. Insert fragrant footing: problem solved!!! Onto being a bridesmaid and wanting at least my feet to look fabulous (despite my brown frumpy bridesmaid dress.) Enter the Jimmy Choo 4" stiletto heels. Could be uncomfortable for a day that starts around noon for pictures and doesn't end till well past midnight after hours upon hours of standing in a church, posing for pictures and dancing the night away. Not only did the Fragrant Footings keep my feet smelling delicious, but they kept them pain free, too!!!! These things are a Godsend! The scent I got was "garden party lemon", and it was just perfect. Another bonus: in my strappy fabulous sandles, they were totally hidden. What more could a girl ask for? I will def buy these for every shoe I own. Love, love, love them.
I didn't take the tape off of these so I could use them in more than one shoe and they still work fine! In at least the loafer type shoes I've worn them in so far. The cushion is soo comfortable and helps my slightly bigger shoes fit better and feel better. I didn't notice the jasmine scent very strongly in mine, but I haven't worn them in a "sweaty" situation yet, either. My feet feel better wearing them too at the end of a long teaching day, so that is my biggest benefit with these. I definitely recommend them and will probably buy more in the other scents, too.
I had some of those ballet slippers! You DO mean the ones with the big bow on the top right? Definitely. Other shoes that tend to get stinky are Sperry topsiders. I'm a prep. I'm fratty. Whatever you want to call it, I admit it. I live and die by the Ralph Lauren Polo pony. But these little babies help quite a bit! Only problem is I thought they were itchy. So just an OK for me.

I got kiss me till morning mint, and loved them! Meg, you prob. already know this, but I had those shoes in black, and I believe they were called Coasters. They smelled so bad, OllieBee and I used to draw them on our notes to each other and make them look really stinkey! I really wish that we had these babies back when the Payless Coasters were out!My shoes have not smelled so much since I stopped shopping at Payless, but I did try these in my heels and it made them way more comphey, and at the end of the night if you are with a group of people you can kick your shoes off without worry ;) The feet smelled great after :-).
I don't care how last season my ballet flats are - I'm still going to wear them! I find ballet flats so comfy and perfect for my summer, going to the office shoes. Luckily, I don't have too many problems with stinky feet, but after a summer of wear and then nine months in the closet, my favorite pair needed a little sprucing up! I tested the jasmine scented 3/4" size insert. The scent is pretty subtle, which I liked and it was super easy to place in my shoes. I'm not sure what they mean by 3'4 length, I wear a smallish shoe size (6 or 61/2 if it's a narrow cut shoe) and they fit right in, without any trimming necessary. The inserts also added a nice extra bit of cushioning to my shoes. MichelleSM - eewww! I can’t believe she didn’t at least use a restroom for that!!
Thanks for another great review, Meg! My feet are totally stinky, and yes, in part b/c of cheap shoes made out of synthetic materials, and in part b/c my feet are just stinky :( Glad to hear positive reviews from other MegHeads.. will have to get these. I've tried foot powder and that was just gross and not helpful. So far, Avon FootWorks antifungal spray has been the most helpful, but not perfect.

What a great idea! LOL Something everyone should have thought of, but didnt. My feet dont get too bad. I usually wear open toe flats, or flip flops, and the only ballet/closed toe flats I have are Lanvin. So the leather is really good quality (they better be) and I find that they dont make my feet smell at all.
I think my husband really needs it
Wow these are pretty cool, the smell will probably eventually drown out though but great shout.
Pretty cool :)
Love the idea of fragrant soles!!Too bad they don't ship to Greece!
