LOTIS CONCEALER WITH SPF 30! NICOLE PAXSON!

  • Miscellaneous

Meg here, so I love my grandmother to absolute bits and pieces but sometimes, after I've just closed a deal or have had some success , she always says "Oh Meg, that's great but just remember~ your health is more then wealth!" I usually laugh and say to her (she's funny so she laughs) "Oh Gram, that's great you ole bag but as Dorothy Parker says, I'll settle for a diamond encrusted wheelchair!" Then we chuckle and move on to who we think is secretly gay in our family

Look, the reality is, your health is no laughing matter and to say something as sane as that is immediately bringing down megsmakeup.com's street cred.

This is what brings me to Nicole Paxson. A charmed life indeed. Nicole is the daughter of Bud and Marla Paxson, founder’s of HSN and PAX TV. Nicole could be just another celebutante. Tons of everything, tons of connections, tons of....puke.
Not in the Hollywood-bulimia addict way. Nicole is sick in a real sick way. Poor girl has had LUPUS since age 12. If you don't know, along with the health stuff, it also makes you break out in horrible rashes. I don't know what butterflies have to do with it but that's what they're called in Lupus circles.

High School had to have been High Hell. Can you imagine having to go to school with the richiest, bitchiest, meanest Hollywood girls and having horrible rashes break out all over your face? As old gram points out, the cash can’t buy you health. Maybe some damn good doctors, but who needs doctors when you look like you exfoliated with a poison oak patte.

Being a makeup fiend for obvious reasons, she spent her recovery times mixing potions “Maybe if I mix this CoverGirl with this Chanel it will cover my redness.” Maybe “I add 3 parts Maybelline to One Part Almay and throw in some Clinique this will work!” You know what? It worked very temp and very far and few and Nicole was still not wanting to leave home.

Instead of getting PAX TV to make a show about her learning farming techniques and dolling up in an outhouse in Nebraska. Instead of releasing a sex tape. Instead of sitting home and crying, Nicole went to work!

This brings me to a product that covers, conceals and protects with SPF 30.

Most people cannot create a product around their illness. Nicole is no dummy and knows this. Even though her body has gone through treatments you and I cannot even imagine, the girl jumped in to solve her cover issues and everyone elses with skin problems and has helped raise over two million dollars for Lupus research taboot!

Her concealer product is called "Lotis" a "A great concealer is as hard to find as the endangered blue-winged Lotis butterfly itself. Lotis concealer stick with SPF 30 UVA/UVB covers all of your skin's uneven discolorations and keeps you looking younger and fresher from start to finish. From blemishes to dark circles, the lightweight and easy-to-use stick goes on smooth and silky, never dull. You can be confident that you are showing the world exactly what you want and concealing what you don't. Perfectly equipped with go-anywhere packaging it also has a quick-peak mirror, for anytime application. Flawless skin is hard to find, it’s nice to finally have something you can always depend on."

THE VERDICT? Good God, how I love this. I used to always go to The Balm Concealer but with my acrylic nails I would get a lot of wasted product! I LOVE the lipstick type application and how much coverage this provides. If you're reading this and have dark circle under eyes then look no further! If you have Any type of redness skin condition you need this!
Ladies, please let me know if Nicole Paxson Lotus Concealer with SPF 30 is your new go to!

I'm embarrased to say I didn't have a concealer in my makeup collection and now that I've tried this, I've found outI really needed one! How did I not have concealer? Its a mystery to me as well. So needless to say I was very excitedto receive this. It looks like a nude lipstick, small enough to fit right in my purse, but enough product to last fora while I'm sure. I have a ton of red in my skin and try hard to even it out which usually doesn't happen. I took thisproduct, drew under my eyes, down my cheeks and did a dab on a newly erupted pimple and blended. What a nice difference. I was under the impression it would make my skin look dull or even cakey, but it did the opposite - I noticed a briteness. Nicole, thanks for creating this product and best wishes for good health.

I was excited to give this concealer a try. When I was a teen, I suffered from pretty bad acne, so I can appreciate a good concealer that will provide good coverage and not look "cakey". This concealer was fantastic! It glided on very smooth and provided great coverage for my under-eye circle and red areas. I was psyched that it contained an SPF, so I can wear it alone if I need a little coverage but don't have time for my full makeup routine. On another note, Nicole, I can really feel good about buying this product knowing that it will make a difference for Lupus sufferers. I wish you all the best and hope you feel better soon!

Thanks to Dr. Ourian over at the Epione Center, my under eyes are looking pretty close to perfect these days. But I am still a HUGE fan of Touch Eclat under my eyes to give my face a bright look. And when I say huge I mean I am a HUGE fan of the stuff! It doesn't settle into the creases under my eyes, or ever look cakey. So I was skeptical to try this concealer. But you know what? I really really liked it!! I was shocked at how little I needed under my eyes to get coverage and brightness! I was also surprised that soemthing with such a dense consistency could go on so smooth and creamy. It gave my skin a flawless look with almost no effort. I would definitely recommend this product.

The packaging is fantastic. I love the pretty metallic box & the oval, frosted tube with the tiny mirror which actually works. It's the perfect size for doing touch-ups around your eye. The top is snug on the tube, meaning for me, that I can easily pop this in my purse without worrying that I'll have concealer all over the inside of it. So far, so good. When I realized it was spf 30, my jaw dropped! I absolutely love it just for this but there is more to love...The color (L) I received is a very good match (about 2 shades lighter than my skin tone). The texture is smooth, it glides on and you can build coverage. Doesn't get cakey or settle. I highly recommend trying this out if you're looking for concealer.

I was so excited to try this concealer when I received it. What a genius idea to put SPF in a concealer!!! I can protect my skin while covering up... I love it. This is a great product. First, it covered my dark under-eye circles and the redness by my nose quite well - and it lasted hours through my work day. It also is a good color for me - I have light olive-toned skin, and it blends with my complexion well. The only draw back of this product is that it is a bit dry - I would have hoped the product to be a little softer (if so, it would help with better blending) but this isn't a problem as long as you're wearing moisturizing lotion underneath. Great job, Nicole Paxson!

I cannot believe this product. It is the ONLY concealer that has worked for me 100%. I have clear skin but do suffer from rosacea that is pretty much under control except for three tiny red spots that NEVER disappear (one on each cheek and one on the bridge of my nose). I like a natural look. Concealing the spots, sheer powder to set, some blush and I'm good to go. But, no matter the brand, no matter the price...nothing has covered completely and lasted through the day. Not so with this wonderful creation by Nicole Paxson. One little dab and the spots are gone! I could hardly believe my eyes the first time. Great consistency, great packaging (top goes on tight with a little click so that you know it will stay put in your purse). Medium is a perfect match for me and it blends right into my skin. Lotis Concealer is a miracle product.

I have to admit the skepticism crept into my body as soon as I saw the lipstick tube. It conjured up images of that Wet 'n' Wild Concealer stick I bought on the sly from my mom when I was about 10 or 11. It had the consistancy of modeling clay and and the coloring was so yellow it made me look jaundiced. But Nicole Paxson's concealer stick was creamy and smooth and very easy to blend. I loved how it covered up blemishes and didn't slip off after five seconds in the Texas sun! A+!

I didn't have concealer either Olliebee....I do somewhere, but nevr use it, and now I don't know I didn't use one..I love this little concealer stick. It has so much more coverage than I thought. I used it yesterday and it took the dark circles right out of my eyes, and made me look alot more awake (my 15 month old is waking up three times a night lately). It is not cakey, goes on smooth, and covers like a champ! This has become a staple in my make-up routine as well. I love it, and will recommend it highly!Nicloe, thank you, and I hope you are feeling better real soon too. xoxo
