CALIFORNIA BABY CALMING BOTANICAL MOISTURIZING CREAM! GREEN CHI TUESDAYS!
Meg here to bring you a brand thats sensitive enough for a baby! If you're an adult with eczema or extremely sensitive skin then check out this line to bring the highest quality of antibacterial essential aromatherapy oils to bring relief to dry and troubled skin. The founder, Lisa, wants everyone to know that she uses this cream as a daily moisturizer, because its non-greasy she can apply her make-up right over it. Her husband uses it as an after shave and her son uses it as a lip balm. I'd say thats pretty multi-functional.
This is the first "baby" product we've ever reviewed on megsmakeup.com but with all its uses it safely falls into an adult green chi!
I know my girlfriends have enough stuff to lug around (besides the actual baby) Greenie has 2 under 2 and I swear she does 14 hours of cardio a day! Not only does she run around her boys all day but its like packing to go overseas before we can even go to the market. She seriously is Miss Toned Arms. Her little meatballs aren't so little. I nearly died trying to pick the smallest one up and that was BEFORE he was strapped in his heavy car seat (that you have to carry). If I ever had children I would not be strong enough to move them anywhere. Ever. I've smoked for many years and the side of the pack tells me this can lead to low birth weight. Since there is no "actual guarantee" on this I will be skipping the procreation. I swear I can carry 15 lbs, TOPS!
With all the bags and instruments a new mom has to carry, why not give her some extra room in that baby bag with a multi-use and all natural product that she too can enjoy. California Baby is not our childhoods drugstore Johnson and Johnson.
Suri Cruise just turned 1 and TomKat threw her a gazillion dollar birthday party. This makes perfect sense because you know she forgot all about it after her nap. TomKat also uses California Baby on Princess Suri. The good news? You don't have to have a gazillion dollars to treat a new mom to this as this organic product runs $13.50
Here's what California Baby says about their Calming Botanical Moisturizer "The whole family will delight in California Baby®'s rich and creamy non-comedogenic moisturizer; it offers deep hydration, absorbs completely, and leaves skin feeling satiny smooth. Use daily for everyday protection and especially when the air is dry and baby's skin needs relief. Our customers have reported excellent results with this cream in their fight against eczema, perioral dermatitis, and other skin sensitivities.
Ladies, please report on if California Baby's Calming Botanical Moisturizer made your skin as smooth as a baby's bottom!

Well, I picked up the California Baby Calming Diaper Rash Cream for my little nephew, who’s making his world appearance any day now.. I got this instead of the cream. I stood and read labels (and lots of small print information) about each product at Henry’s Market and stared at the many other California Baby products too.. It’s a fantastic line.. I heard that adults could also use this for facial blemishes to help dry them up and decrease redness. This line has gone the extra mile to assure that the product works by using excellent ingredients.
I'm not a baby (though others may beg to differ), but I've been using this on my calves that get insanely itchy and dry during the winter months. (And unfortunately, in my neck of the woods, spring has not yet sprung and it's still dropping into the 30's at night.) I've been using this to get some relief. It gets so bad that I've nearly drawn blood and this year it seems to be worse than it's ever been. California Baby definitely helps - I'm not sure which ingredient it is, but something in there aids in calming inflamed skin. This came in the mail just when I needed it, and like others have said, it lasts forever. And moms - my sister has 2 kids that had very sensitive skin when they were babies. This is the only line of products that she would use. I see it everywhere now, so even better that it's so easy to find!
I've seen this line at my fancy grocery store, but never tried it. My little one suffers from eczema. I'm always searching for the perfect lotion for her picky skin. I'll have to pick this up on my next shopping trip and give it a try. Thanks for the heads up!
I have to try this for my babies and for myself as I have very dry sensitive skin! And Meg you should try to pick up my Meatballs now!! ;)
this sounds really good :)not expensive and green! yay! ding ding ding i think we have a replacement for vaseline. i gotta try this
I use this product on my 50 year old baby body and love it! My dear elbows were getting a little dried out and since I started using this they aren’t giving my age away. I also use this on my feet and I now have perfect heels and toes for my summer sandals. Please go to the website, Lisa has so many wonderful products! I can’t wait for my trip to Target this weekend to stock up on more items. I’m going to make a goodie bag for my 3 year old nephew. Stef, thanks for finding this line and contacting Lisa. Lisa thank you for your generosity!! You have a fantastic product!
I was really excited to receive this as I have a 17 month old who has extremely dry skin and little red bumps on hercheeks. First what I liked was the smell - eucalypts-ey, minty, natural smell. I don't ever put anything toostrong on my daughter and this just smells clean (and safe. its weird, but the fresh smell automatically makes me feel like itssomething safe and natural to put on her). Its not greasy (at all) and is a light lotion that rubs in easily. I've beenusing it on her legs and face and I have to say I have seen a difference in the red bumps on her cheeks. They have faded and her skin is less dry. Its not a big container, but seems to be lasting forever. All in all, I was reallypleased with this and I get really picky about what kinds of lotions I put on her (I usually only go on my pediatrician'srecommendation). I also just saw this line at Target which is exciting (didn't see this product there, but a bunch of others like hair care, etc) so I'm looking forward to trying other things. Thank you Meg (and Lisa) for turning me onto a product I wouldn't have otherwise tried.
this stuff sounds great! i'm gonna have to run to my local target to check it out... i noticed that they don't use mineral oil, hopefully there aren't any parabens.
I love, love, love this moisturizer! At first, I only used it on my 13-month old. He has very sensitive skin and eczema. The poor little guy scratches his skin until he is raw. He is very sensitive to other scented baby lotions, so I am extremely cautious about what I put on his skin. After a week of use, his eczema was gone, with the exception of an occasional flare-up. I also have eczema and dry skin, so I gave this product a "go". It soothes my skin and has a light non-greasy texture. It has become my daily moisturizer as well. Thanks olliebee for the tip on finding it at Target. I am glad to know that it is being more widely-distributed. I also use the California baby wash -- it is just as great as the lotion.
i work at babie's r us and i always see this product but never really paid any attention. next time i come across that aisle i will read the labels and possibly purchase it. i do sometimes have dry skin and maybe this will the answer i'm looking for!
This stuff is good. I picked it up at Target when I was in a hurry and thought I'd give something new a try. Well, I have to say I was glad I did. (that's usually how I come upon things that I really like- in a rush and not putting too much thought into it!) So it's turned out to be really good for the whole family.
that looks awesome! i really wanna try it!
