REVITALASH? YOU SHOULD BUY THIS! READ THE REVIEWS!
Meg here with a little confidential info on Megsmakeup.com. When you have a blog or a website there is a tool called "Google Analytics" that you can log into. What does it do? Well, its very helpful, it shows how many readers you get, where they live (CA and NY are our largest audience.) What the top keywords are typed in to reach our site. You may think the top words would be "lipgloss" or "eyeliner" or "green products" (I thought so anyway.) They're not! You how over 400 new members find megsmakeup a day? Well about everyday 400 women enter the term "Revitalash" and are sent to our reviews on this product. If you go to Revitalash? Should I Buy This? You'll have some insight on how this all came about. I knew nothing of Revitalash, this was back almost a year ago. Our readers knew all about Revitalash and left 19 extremely detailed, passionate reviews on how this was a "must buy". The comments were outrageous "never wear mascara again" to the truly unbelievable "I have to trim my eyelashes they're so long now!"
It took me about a year (I know, I'm speedy) to reach out to Revitalash and see if they wanted to do a promotion with Megsmakeup.com. Since their review was over a year ago, if they would advertise and support us over here our readers could trust that we were not just pushing the item to make a buck. It really is more to spotlight them since so many women have been searching for reviews and trying to learn about this miracle-albeit pricey product.
After a few calls, I finally got in touch with the creator, Dr. Brinkenhoff. Speaking with him was a real pleasure. I wanted to make sure that before I got behind this amazing product it was all safe. I mean people loved Fen-Phen too and look where that got us. Skinny with a side of heart attack, anyone? After an in-depth conversation, with the good Doctor ( A very respected ophthalmologist) I had no reservations about standing behind this product. In fact, as I stare at my new, Bette Davis eyes I am assured they are as good for me as they look! How do they look? SO LONG! THICK! FULL AND LUSH!
The RevitaLash Story
It all began because a husband wanted to give his wife a very special gift...
RevitaLash™ was developed by Dr. Michael Brinkenhoff as a special gift for his wife, Gayle, while she was recovering from breast cancer. Intensive chemotherapy treatments had damaged Gayle’s once-beautiful eyelashes, leaving them sparse, breakable and fragile.
After extensive research with a team of talented cosmetic chemists, Dr. Brinkenhoff formulated an eyelash conditioner that, after just a few weeks, gave a renewed look of vitality to Gayle’s eyelashes.
Soon friends and family wanted to know Gayle’s secret to beautiful looking eyelashes. Gayle knew immediately the perfect name for the amazing eyelash conditioner that had given her eyelashes a renewed look of vitality: RevitaLash™.
Thus, a new product was born; and a formula created originally for just one special woman has become a product available to women everywhere who want to have beautiful looking eyelashes.
Gayle and Michael are committed to donating a portion of the proceeds from RevitaLash™ sales to benefit non-profit breast cancer research and education initiatives. In fact, they give them away to women that have completed their chemo!
"Often we feel helpless when someone we love is suffering. I am very fortunate, in my own small way, to have been able to help Gayle through her recovery. Watching her be excited about her beautiful looking eyelashes has been a real joy."
Don't you love when there is a miracle product that is 100% made with love and care? espescially when that translates into bringing your inner beauty out? Any more Revitalash addicts?

I have been using Revitalash since July 07. It has done wonders for my eyelashes! But..... the newer version of Revitalash does diddly squat! I'm so glad I still have some of the older vesion to use. If I can recall, one major make up company is causing problems with Revitalash and Jan Marin. The lawyers are doing the damage. I feel it is out of pure greed that this company beginning with the letter A is doing this. It will most likely be offered by this company at a much higer price.
I hae been using this for about six weeks now, and - although it was very expensive - I will definitely continue to use it and will buy more. I have naturally relatively long eyelashes, but they are quite sparse andtend to fall out in clups when I am ill or stressed. This has lengthened them appreciably and has also increased the number of eyelashes. This is particularly visible along the lower lid at the moment. I usually wear contact lenses, but I had spectacles on at the weekend and I noticed that my upper lashes were constantly (and irritatingly!) sweeping the inner surface of my glasses. Definitively worth the money - although it does sting if you get it in your eyes!
The active ingredient in the original Jan Marini and Revitalash products is Bimatoprost, a glaucoma medication sold by Allergan under the trade name of Lumigan. Glaucoma patients using it began to notice eyelash growth and the cosmetics industry got wind of it. Allergan wants to control the market of course, and are conducting FDA testing to get it approved as a cosmetic. In the meantime, they took legal actions which forced Jan Marini and I believe also Revitalash to remove the Bimatoprost from their formulae, although I've heard they substituted other chemicals with supposedly similar effects. In April 08 I visited a cosmetics store in LA that had a stash of the old, pre-ban products and I bought one tube each of Marini and Revitalash. I started with the Marini, and after 10 weeks of daily application my lashes were at least twice as long and full as when I started. I have light hazel eyes and did notice perhaps just a bit of darkening, but it's a tradeoff I can live with as I am severely eyelash-challenged. After the first three months or so I reduced my applications to once or twice weekly to conserve the expensive stuff, and have not noticed much if any loss of length or volume. I use it on both the upper and lower lashes although the directions say to use on uppers only. About three months ago I misplaced the Marini tube and switched to Revitalash and didn't notice any difference in maintenance. Recently I found the Marini again and will use that until it's gone. Lumigan is readily available to glaucoma patients and there are also some cosmetic doctors who will write prescriptions for cosmetic use. It comes in an eyedropper bottle but you just dip an eyeliner brush in the liquid and apply like liner. There are internet pharmacies selling it and their strictness about prescriptions probably varies. Just google "lumigan".
44 yr. female. Started using Revitalash approx. a month ago. Within a few weeks I noticed some growth and thickness. A few days ago I noticed brown spots appearing on my blue eyes. I discontinued using it and upon further investigation realized that this is a common side affect of users with light colored eyes. I am assuming a law suit will be right around the corner.
This is absolutely fascinating. I would love to know more about the active ingredients being used in this product. My husband suffers from severe glaucoma and his eye drops do cause his eye lashes to do all sorts of "funky" things: they lighten, grow out in different angles, etc... My lashes are short, sparse and practically invisible without mascara. I would love to try this product. Thanks for your reviews gals.
I haven't tried this yet but I thought I'd let you know that I just ordered it on that very well known auction site for a total of $66.50, including shipping & handling, and no tax. It's also sealed on both ends & the seller has excellent feedback. This is the 2008 new & improved formula as well. For this price, it's definitely worth a try! I'll be happy to post back after I've tried it. I've been hearing about this for well over a year as well but the price put me off. Wouldn't it be lovely if my lashes could be a bit thicker & longer. In the meantime, I start off with my Prescriptives lash primer and follow up with either Prescriptives, Dior or Chanel mascara and it looks like I was born with long lashes. :)
First of all, let me say that I thought that this worked, I also used Jan Marni which worked even more. I bought both from a skin clinic at a discount from that above mentioned acution site. I worked with someone who is on tv and had huge lashes from the jan marni and had been using religously for three months. It has to be used everyday. My problem with it, was when I started reading more about what was in it and why it worked as it has a chemical used to treat glaucoma. One of the side effects is it can turn light eyes darker. So I was using it for my wedding last year, and I promptly stopped and told all my friends with light eyes about this and they stopped as well. I would only reccommend it for dark eye people if you don't want to risk having your iris change colors.
Revitalash is truly incredible! My fiance asked me if I was wearing fake eyelashes but when I told him "no", he wasn't convinced they were my own. I had to find the tube of revitalash and show it to him. It looks like transparent eyeliner and you just trace the bottom of your eyelashes with it every evening before you go to bed.I believe it when women say that they have to trim it down from time to time - it really is that remarkable! It is worth every penny and now it's good to know that part of the proceeds go to a good cause, what more could you ask for???I recommend this product, 100%.
i haven't tried any of these lash products but the more that they come out with the more tempted i get - does anyone have photos of the results? that would be interesting

I don't want to waste my money for a product that probably will not work. I am lucky i think coz i love my eyelashes :)
I bought revitalash because of a wonderful review from a friend. I think that I didn't really believe that it would work. It surpassed my wildest imagining. My lashes grew longer and thicker. Several of my friends accused me of wearing fake lashes. When you have always had short straight lashes, it is pretty exciting to suddenly (six weeks for full results) have beautiful long lashes. Warning: when they are first growing in, they are all different lengths and slightly awry. Just wait. They get great.
is it really as good as it says .. ? i really need longer lashes, i m going to try it guys, ill tell u how it works !
I have used Jan Marini lash, but won't do that again. I didn't have anything happen. Thank goodness.
It sounds awesome!
sounds cool. seems like it worked out for a lot off people, but it just seems to be a risky chanceee.
On my birthday wishlist!
i love this
