EPIONE RESTORATIVE FIRM AND FADE CREME!!

Mon, 12/10/2007 - 1:37pm
  • Face

Epione Restorative Firm and Fade Creme is the last creme we will be reviewing in the series of luxurious cremes Dr. Simon Ourian from the world famous Epione Center sent us.

This creme is the MacDaddy of them all. It's the holy grail in his series and it works amazingly. You see Firm and Fade is "A potent skin brightener and lightener affectionately referred to as "fix it" cream by Epione patients. An active blend of 2% Hydroquinone, Kojic Acid, Azelaic Acid and High Potency Vitamin C Improves uneven skin tone and skin clarity. Re-textures the skin and helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles Lightens or eliminates age spots, freckles and scarsTightens & firms while providing the skin's surface with a protective barrier which retains the water in the corneous layer of the skin ".

I have a hybrid around my nose. I'll call it a "hybrid" because it's never been diagnosed and I don't really know what sets it off. I have sensitive skin and I've had a reacurring red, scaly rash that pops up around my nostrils for no rhyme or reason since I was about 11 years old. It comes and goes. It looks like a rash that mated with rosacea. The "hybrid" never lets me know when it is going to visit or how long it's going to stay. It's just something that pops up every once in a while like a Fedex delivery.

The hybrid decided to make visit when I luckily had my Restorative Firm and Fade Creme. I put it on around my nose before I went to bed. It stung a little bit and I wasn't sure how this was going to pan out. The good news is I have found hybrid kryptonite. Gone in the morning! The red scales had taken flight!

The bad news? It's $350.00 The good news? I will last 4 months Dr. Simon gave us at Meg's a code for half off with code FF50

Christmas is coming! If you have a nasty hydrid of your own I couldn't recommend this treatment more!

Ladies, did you rid yourself of any face mishaps with Restorative Firm and Fade Creme?

I can't afford $350 face cream. I can't afford it at 50 percent off. But I DO have that same scaly nose rash thing going on on occasion, and now know that it can be easily banished by Better Botanicals Sandalwood moisturizer. Which costs $15 at Whole Foods. Seriously. Go buy it.

Hi Sharon - This is what I know about Restoration Firm & Fade= you can fade the discoloration and spots by using this cream to even out your skin tone but if you go out in the sun again without sunscreen then all that sun damage, spots and discoloration will come right back. Read thru all the FAQs on the EpioneSkinCare site because I think they address most concerns. Simon has been hounding me forever about my bad skincare habits and the fact that I believe I look better with a tan. I found a cure for that however with Jergen's Natural Glow moisturizer that I put on in the morning after I get out of the shower and then on top of that sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen!!

This stuff is pretty amazing. I used this really sparingly on some old acne scars and a couple of freckles (they're probably age spots but freckles is so much cuter, no?) and it significantly lightened them, which I haven't found anything else to do that. But this is some heavy stuff, it's more like a salve. Which makes sense cause this is a treatment. I'd reccomend this if you've got some major skin issues that you want to fade, this will do it. But it's not for the casual creme seeker. Price wise and potency wise.

Ok, I have/had a bad habit of not using SPF or at least re-applying and I am a "picker". I know it's so bad but I can't help it. So I had some acne scars, using this as a spot treatment just on the scars made a drastic change in only a two weeks. Here is the even better part, it lightens streach marks!!!!! I grew very fast as a kid and I was young when I had my son so I've put my skin through some hard times in addition to my bad sun habbits. I had some streatch marks on my right breast that I WAS very self consious about, but guess what.....you can't see them anymore. I feel so much better about that, I don't feel odd whereing a low cut shirt for fear of the marks. At $350 this is a steal since it really really does work. At half off I think I'll send them a 5 gallon drum and ask them to fill it. After my streatch mark fading success I started using on my cheeks as well to even out my skin tone, I actually have been asked by two men, yes men if I went to the spa or "got some sorta facial thingy". Ladies you only need to ask for two things for Christmas, the Thermaclear and this stuff.

This is not a review, but a question for you who have tried this product. I have serious sun damage from working driving a tractor all summer. I never heard of sunscreen, except for Coppertone and that just made you darker. I don't have a rash only dark spots that at times get leathery. I have been using Cat Cosmetic's C-Cret Agent C Serum along with a Whitengen from IOPE. It worked amazing for a few months and just about all the damage had disappeared. Suddenly, in less than a week with no routine change, the spots are back. My question is do you honestly think this creme will help with sun damage that is no way similar to a rash? I am willing to buy it at half price if you pro's think it will work.

Can Dr. Simon do no wrong?! The man is a genius! I would slather my face with anything he comes out with because, quite frankly, his shit works!!! I LOVE this Firm and Fade cream! The thing I love about it besides the face that it totally clears my skin of all blotchiness and malasma, but the consistency doesnt fight with my night time routine. I can use this cream and then put my moisturizer over it without the two battling for the hydrating position. It get absorbed right into my skin, making my face feel like I just got one of those lunch hour face lifts! It's an all around cure-all. I highly reccomend it!

Well, I suppose the reason I discovered EPIONE's skin care line in the first place was because I have "hybrid" all over my face -- thanks to many fabulous sun-soaked trips to the Caribbean. Since I can't seem to give up my outdoor lifestyle or love of sunny vacation spots, I have found that RESTORATION Firm & Fade is the best solution. If you have sun damaged skin with freckles and sun spots (or melasma) then this is the most powerful cream concoction that you can get without having to make an appointment to see the dermo. I used Restoration Firm & Fade for a couple weeks and it was as if I had chopped off my hair and dyed it a different color -- everyone commented on how great I looked. I couldn't even figure it out at first but after realizing that I didn't have to wear foundation to even out my blotchy and uneven skin tone, this cream became the thing that I can't live without. It works and its worth every penny.... now you can actually pay for your skincare sins!

When I got this in the mail, I could tell before I even got to the product that it was way out of my league -- evenwith the discount, I still couldn't afford it. I will say this, though. I'd kind of forgotten until I was readingothers' reviews that I'd developed these really depressing sun damage spots on my cheekbones. Since I've been usingEpione they've disappeared. I've been using it 2-3 nights a week with a glycolid acid solution underneath, and the Epione Hydrating Cream on top. In the morning, my skin is completely rejuvenated. Dewy, fresh, clear and bright. Not only have my sun spots faded, it's also erased my memory of even having them!

As Meg said this is the Mac Daddy of creams. Never in my life have a used a cream that cost this much. Like Greenie I’ve been using it sparingly as I’m afraid for it to run out. I had some discoloring around my nose from using too strong of a retin-a. With continued use of Fade and Firm I’ve seen my skin tone even out. With the discount that Dr. Simon has given us I can now entertain the thought of buying this when I run out. But even with the discount it’s expensive. Guess I’ll have to start cutting back on my Starbuck’s run.

P.S. I forgot to mention one of the most important things! You must wear a good broad spectrum sunscreen daily, year round or those spots will come right back!I always carry the Eminence Organics Translucent 30SPF Mineral Powder with me. You need to apply sunscreen twice a day and that's if it's a regular day when you aren't out in the sun all the time. If you are outside for your job, I'd re-apply it every couple of hours. A good sunscreen is also the best way to avoid future wrinkles!

Hi sharond,I noticed your post and since I've had a couple of bouts with skin cancer, I wanted to suggest a couple of things. First off, please go to a dermatologist for a full body "skin check" to make sure that you don't have any skin cancer issues. Then, I would strongly suggest you consider SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic serum. My dermatologist recommended it and it's especially good for those of us who have had sun damage. You need to use it consistently but it will fade spots and it's a super anti-oxidant. Retail is about $125 but you can buy samples on ebay and you can also find great sales at skinstore.com and other online stores. Once you get it, I'd suggest keeping it in the fridge to keep it as fresh as possible. I've seen amazing changes in my skin in just a month and a half of using it.I haven't tried the product mentioned by Meg yet.... :)

Oops, sorry, I forgot to mention that after reading the reviews on the Epione eye cream and checking out the discount for the Firm & Fade, I did decide to break down and pick up both of them. I do wish he didn't charge so much for his s&h...pretty outrageous! And, I'd also like to see his products packaged in containers that aren't exposed to oxygen & bacteria but I'll definitely report back with some honest reviews on how they work on my menopausal early 50's skin! Thanks....maybe he'd offer some additional discout coupons so we could try some other items? I'd love to try the face cream too!

I agree with all the ladies so far in that this is a miracle creme in a jar. I am always skeptical of all things skincare related, but this is something that has proven itself with results...and in such a short time. I am a freckle face. I just started going to the dermatologist this year because I was afraid I should be doing something extra to my face and skin because of that. They recommended I start a facial treatment for acne and my skintone would end up being more evened out, etc. Since getting this creme, I have since canceled my appointments to the dermatologist because my skin looks even better now! there's no need to go back there for them to put that stinky acid-y stuff on my face. I can put on a heavenly creme at night and achieve even better results...without having to pay the derm every 2 weeks. What a blessing!

Ooooh, this is AMAZING stuff!! Meg gave me this to try when she came out here in August (it was a little birthday gift for me). We had a wedding to go to that weekend and I was in a panic since I had some strange rash break out on my face the day before....well, Meg said to try this stuff on it overnight. I was skeptical and scared it would irritate me more, but Boy was I wrong, and in the morning my rash was almost gone. The day before I used this I couldn't even put my makeup on because my skin was so irriated, but after using this I put on my makeup, packed my stuff for our weekend wedding and we were good to go. I was so happy! Who wants to have a big itchy rash on thier face the one weeknend that they get away in a year...and with no kids ;)! Well, the wedding was a blast and my skin looked great :)!Since she gave me this in August I use it about three times a week (a little goes a long way) at night and I am so scared of it running out, but I still have more then half left, so it has been 3 and a half months and I still have HALF left!! The lines around my eyes have diminished (I think), and my skin is super soft and glowing! I would recommend this to anyone! It is a miricle in a bottle!! I think I will be asking hubby for more for Christmas too!!
