My make up heroine is Theda Bara, and I too believe you are never fully dressed without a parasol.
I was lucky enough to have the glamorous Meg offer me a chance to review a frighteningly fabulous product set from Urban Decay with my favorite Eyeshadow Primer Potion making company!! This kit sounds to die for...lol this will definitely go well with my "night on the town" stash..I can't wait to begin my experiment with these! In honor of Halloween(Happy Halloween to all you lovely ladies) I'd like to share my personal scariest Halloween story:It was a nice sunny day as I trotted home afterschool(I was 6yrs. old) ready to overload my mom with the days news. I was stopped short at my neighbors house(who happened to be our landlord) by a man sitting on her porch(she wasn't married and lived alone). You couldn't see his face at all really because he had a straw hat on(just imagine the Texas Chainsaw Massacre guy-the original- with a straw hat and that was him!). As I'm passing by I just can't seem to pry my little eyes off of him out of fear I wouldn't be ready to run at a moments notice. I jumped back at the sound of her screen door eerily squeeking open!To my relief it was only our landlord.She says hi and asks if I want some cookies she baked. Thinking to myself I wondered if this was some masterplan to get me in her grasp so her and Mr. Serial killer sitting on her porch could have me for dinner! She seemed like such a nice lady how could I have been so blind? I politely said no thank you and went in my house. I dint even talk my mothers ear off as usual, just went straight to my room. There had to be some kind of explanation...maybe she was abducted by aliens(this I probably imagined because I had seen E.T. at her house a few days before) and he was here to use her as bait to snatch other people for their experiments! The next day at recess I wrote her a letter asking her who the man was sitting on her porch and that if she had been abducted by E.T.(man I wish I had a copy of that, it would be hilarious to read now). On my way home-going another way so as to avoid passing her house- I went to our mailboxes in front of my house and put the letter labeled "for your eyes only" in her mailbox and went on my way. Later that day she came over. I was getting out of the shower and I could hear her talking to my mom. I quickly dressed and cautiously entered the living room where they sat talking. She stood up and gave me a hug. I thought "oh know she's brainwashed my mom and come to take me away!!" it felt like she held me forever but finally I felt her release me. She then told me not to worry, she hadn't been abducted and that the man on the porch was just some guy that would show up on her porch around Halloween and just slept there. Then the day after Halloween he'd leave. This only made me more confused! How was that explanation any better than being abducted!?...this lady would let some random guy sleep on her porch for 2 weeks no questions asked?!! I decided to just let it go and soon enough Halloween would come and go and the weirdo would be gone.Halloween finally came, my parents left to a party and left me with my older cousin. I went trick-or-treating in my cute little Minnie Mouse costume for about an hour and then returned home to pass out candy.I went out on our porch with a large orange candy-filled bowl in hand ready to fill trick-or-treaters bags, sacks, and pumpkins. After a few hours there weren't many children around but I still had a few candies left that I was determined to give out. Then out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw something move on my neighbors porch. I looked over and everything seemed the same, same creepy guy , same cobwebbs clinging to her porch. I dismissed it and stood waiting for the next trick-or-treater.Then a minute later again I saw something move. As I squinted my eyes to take a closer look, to my absolute horror that creepy guy that had been sitting in the rocking chair on my neighbors porch stood up!! His evil eyes glared at me as he began to walk towards me, I dropped the bowl of candy at once and ran in the house completely petrified! My cousin who had been sitting on the couch asked what was wrong, I yelled to her to lock the door behind me!! Once in my room I closed the door, jammed it with my desk chair, and leaped into bed with the covers wrapped around me! My heart racing- it sounded like one continuous beat. I could hardly breathe and my entire body was shaking uncontrollably! What seemed like in no time at all, someone was pounding at my door. I could hear an eerie voice demanding me to open the door! I felt a horrific death in my poor little future. I heard the door bust open and I began to scream for dear life! I was to young to die!! Hands were grabbing me by the waist and the blamket was pulled away from my eyes. I could hardly scream anymore when I realized it was my dad over me. I held him so tightly-thank God he came in time to save me! I notice he's laughing as I'm explaining my near-death experience and he announces he has something to show me. We stand up and he leads me down the hall to the living room.I scream in renewed horror at the sight of the creepy man standing in the middle of my living room- do they want me to die! As I was swaring to my dad I'd be the best daughter on the face of the earth if only they'd spare my life, I jump beside my dad at the sight of the creepy mans head being pulled off!! My eyes wider than watermelons, my jaw drops at the discovery that it was my neighbor under there!what kind of cruel world is this!!through my chattering little teeth I exclaim" you tricked me!!" -- I will never forget that!! Happy spooks to all of you, be safe, and if you should see what looks like an creepy old man sitting on a porch yank his head off!!...lol
I have the Eye Liner in Bourben too. I am alos now HOOKED on the eye shadow primer potion, IT ROCKS!! I don't know how I wore eye shadow without it. I have a matte green eye shadow that I love too, so I am very excited to hear about this stuff. Mary Tyler-Gore - I love your name! I also love Urban Decay, especially their eye shadows. They are so smooth and wear well and have amazing colors. I have the Urban Ammo Eye Palette - a great compact (slim, black with purple appliquè) with 10 of their best colors. I also wanted to say Happy Birthday to Blusleelee! Oh and in the sprit of Halloween I posted pictures in my profile of The Best Halloween costumes evah - (the cast of the 1970’s doc Grey Gardens, a megsmakeup cult favorite) in my profile. This set looks soooo pretty. I especially like the shadow color. I'll have to check it out on my next Sephora outing (Friday to be exact...yes we are all sick). The primer potion rocks!! Char you definitely need it. I've introduced all my friends to it.
I saw this set the other day and it looks fabulous. However, since graduating and obtaining a boring job in a stodgy office, my shadow colors have gotten way less exciting. (the only thing UD I've purchased in the last few months has been primer potion and the matte shadows, *sigh*). But maybe this is exactly what I need to prevent my decent into tapered, high-waisted old lady pants and twin-sets. Maybe the fountain of youth is really just high quality sparkles.

I love Urban Decay!!! I have everything in this kit except the heavy metal eyeliner. UD is the shiznit!!! The Bourbon eyeliner is my favorite color ever, it's so soft and pretty. It's great for daytime when you don't want to go with black. I'm completely bowing down to UD....I love this line!!!!

I heart Urban Decay's 24/7 Eye Pencils, and have these in both Zero and Bourbon. Their eye makeup remover "Clean and Sober" is equally as great, and yes, I broke down and have the UD Eye Primer Potion too! "Midnight Rides Again" looks like a killer-great combination of some really great UD makeup. Happy Halloween Mary Tyler Gore! This is my very favorite holiday, BOO!

Lulu - I got “illegal” also. Maybe this is one of those universally-flattering shades, because it makes my baby blues sing! (I’m kinda torn between Jerry Lee Lewis and the Sex Pistols.) Great colour. Great staying power. Great products!
I've just received the matte eyeshadow in "illegal", a plum brown color and I love it, love it.... Probably nota color I would of pick on my own. But it accents my brown eyesvery nice. I will definitely check out more Urban Decay products.

I got this set recently in Baked on sale, it was such a great deal!! I love UD stuff. I already had a couple of the products in the kit, but it was totally worth it for backups and a new shadow and glitter liner!
Bourbon is an awesome eyeliner. I too normally just wear black but this changed me and has become nearly a daily staple.

I bought this set a while back, shadow is great but glitter's slightly chunkier than I'd like it to be. Bourbon liner is brilliant for those with brown eyes, creamy and long lasting. The glitter liner, I LOVE glitter!
