CAT COSMETICS SKIN DOUBLE !
The frisky, feline friendly, fantastic female's Gil and Cat at Cat Cosmetics sent Megsmakeup out some of their Skin Double Foundation to test. Foundation is a total make it or break it. No matter how great your eyes and lips look, you can't get away with a botched complextion. I was having lunch a few years back at a Hollywood biz Beverly Hills restaurant called Kate Mantilini. Who walked in and sat an arms lenght, table away from me? Cameron Diaz. Except (I'm so glad I'm not famous and have bitches like me writing snotty things about me, I'd cry) it didn't even look like Cameron Diaz. I mean it was totally her but I was shocked. Her poor face was an absolute mess. I think she must have been picking at it with some seriously sharp tools. It was red, blotchy, zitty just awful. You didn't notice her smile or eyes. I guess you can't have everything.
Poor dear, when I have a zinger I don't even want to leave the house. I can't imagine having a bad skin day and having pap's follow me around with a long lens. I admire her "devil may care" attitude to show up to such a hotspot looking like that. She must be a sweet person. A woman of substance who values what's on the inside. Hahaha, I can't even type that. She dated Jared Leto, Matt Dillon and JT for godsake. Cameron, seriously, read on. You should maybe click the buy it here.

Step right up fine-yes fine ladies. Get your honest opinion right here! First, let me just tell you that I do like this creamy foundation a lot. It’s majoring in versatility! It’s that quick fresh look in an instant and I really like the lighter side to use as a highlight or concealer too. It’s the best of both worlds for us foundation freaks! When I received this very adorable packaged, and oh so fine looking cat cosmetics Skin Double Foundation Duo (holy Yhit, that is a mouth full!) I really was looking forward to using it, because as you might know, I have that blotchy uneven Cameron Diaz toned skin on occasion. I have to admit she sure cleans up well, as so many starlets do. Anyway, I digress, but what’s important is that you know that this really does cover well and blends into your skin without clogging pours like a dream. I am always on the lookout for foundations that are substantial and not too transparent. This fits that bill. I never realized there was a black sponge in the hidden compartment -it was so stealth in there I missed it, and was using my fingertips to apply. You can use either! It’s a very well thought out product all around.
I have used this product, along with all of Cat's products, for several years. To really get the most out of this foundation is to use a foundation brush, not the sponge, and use it lightly. You will be amazed at how perfect your skin will look. A little silk purrfection under the skin double doesn't hurt either. I see that some mentioned it didn't last that long. I found using the brush to put the skin double on, that I could get a decent 12 plus hours out of it. I do set it with a light dusting of Cat's loose powder and apply blush and bronzer where needed. If you weren't happy using it with the sponge, try a foundation brush and I think you will be very pleased with the results. Cat's brushes are excellent. I gave a brush and the skin double to both my sister for presents and they are now hooked. Buy it, try it, you won't be disappointed.

Olliebee reading your review was like me opening my mouth and having you speak exactly what I would have said. A while back I came to the conclusion that for me cream or liquid make up just wasn’t for me and I’ve been using Bare Escentials since then. I do like the idea of having 2 different shades to mix in order to get that perfect shade. Having a place to keep your sponge with your make up is great. Perfect if you want to take it with you in your purse. While this wasn’t for me, I can’t say that it’s not a great product. Cat does it again!
I am a fan of this as well. I feel like I am always saying that about Cat products,probablly because I am! This is another hit for me. I have been hooked on myMAC foundation for three years, and it has run out on me and I have been using CAT'sever since. I got the light medium and medium to test, and I usually use the lightmedium since I have fair skin, but with my Summer Tan I find I can use both.It has amazing coverage, and when I ever I wear it my hubby will comment on how good I lookand has even said how good my skin looks when I wear it. I don't let him in onmy secret, I just let him think it is natural ;).I have also used the darker color (medium) to hide flaws, and it works great!My only advice is during the day a little of this goes a long way. At night you can usea little more.
I have used this product in this past. The two tone set-up is good and the positive is that you can blend this for light or heavier coverage. I don't think the coverage lasted as long as others have reviewed here. I am a combination skin. It's definitely worth trying. Cat Cosmetics has a nice array of things that work well.
I have tried every foundation under the sun. This is by far the best one I've found. It looks very natural, isn't too "orangey" and leaves my skin with a natural, gorgeous glow. I highly recommend this to anyone who is frustrated with foundation. Cat cosmetics are fabulous. AAA+
Great case, loved the mirror and separate compartment for the applicator sponge, and the fact that they included two shades to mix and match. I would definitely use this product as a cover-up (totally hides everything, however, as a foundation it feels a little pasty on my skin and not the right shade, even when blending the two colors.
I was excited to test this product... I have blotchy, red skin, and am always looking for a good product to even out my skin tone. Cat's Skin Double does the trick! A little does go a long way - too much made me look too caked on. But just a small amount really made my skin look even toned and smooth! The package is designed perfectly - with the sponge located in the base of the compact, and the sponge does an excellent job with the makeup application. I also liked how long lasting this product was on my skin - even with the hot sticky weather... Great job Cat - I love it!
Until Beautyzilla introuduced me to this foundation for my wedding day, I was convinced foundation was a completely uneccessary step in makeup that only led to clogged pores. Beautyzilla and Cat Cosmetic's Skin Double foundation has shown me the light! This stuff is AMAZING! Not only did it give me radiantly pure and gorgeous skin for my ENTIRE June wedding that was 100 degrees (with no need for touch-ups), but I use it for stage AND lessen it up and use it for normal days (AND it looks good on camera!). This foundation is SO versatile, blends SO well, and is just all around AMAZING - it gives your face a clean pallette, removing all inconsistancies to start your makeup application. Need I say more? I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First let me start by saying I LOVE Cat products, this one just wasn't for me. I can't say it was the product itself, I'm just not a foundation person. I started usingthe Bare Escentials and I like a powder, more lightweight foundation as opposed to a creamy one. I wanted to love it - I love the compact with the sponge hidden on the bottom, so I used it right when I got it and unfortunately, it didn't change my mind about creamier, thicker foundations (its not you, Cat...its me...). What I can use it for is for covering up blemishes and spots - I love it for that, just not all over.
Madam X is right! This make-up is so versitile that it can be used for something as heavy as stage make-up or as light and beautiful for wedding make-up. My make-up goal is to never look like I'm wearing foundation. This is my absolute favorite winter foundation. It makes my pasty, white, dry winter skin look flawless! You can aply it heavy or use a foundation brush to feather it on to create an airbrush like finish. It's so easy to match your own color becasue each foundation comes with 2 shades. So if you buy two colors, that's four shades! The lighter one looks great around your eyes and the darker shade for the rest of your face. Cat Cosmetics are my absolute favorite!!!!
