MD SKINCARE ALPHA BETA DAILY FACE PEEL

Sun, 04/29/2007 - 7:30pm
  • Face

Hi there fellow bloggers! Blu’s Lee Lee here. Our Miss Meg has asked me to join in the likes of DesertDoll,ChiChi and Rachael and write up some introductions of our products. With that request started my sleepless nights, nervous stomach and anxiety to do these write ups.

It sort of reminded me of being back in college. I didn’t like it. I loved being in a sorority and all the fun that came with that. I remember my parents saying “we’re not paying for you to go to college so you can major in your sorority’s social life” (I got straight A’s in social life). Classes, writing term papers, tests- no thank you.

The girls gave me a pep talk last night and told me that I could do it! “Conquer those fears”! They said. Gulp, here goes...My subject is md Skincare Alpha Beta Daily Face Peel. Who would have thought you could use a daily face peel and not have your face be a flaky mess. There is nothing worst than walking around with a pesky piece of skin hanging off the tip of your nose, “no, honest! It’s skin; it’s not from the inside!!” Almost like that famous Seinfeld episode “honest it wasn’t a pick”.

What is it with men driving around with their finger up their nose going for the gold? The other day I was stuck in LA’s lovely traffic when I looked over and there was this really hot looking guy. Then in and up went the finger, not so hot any more!

Here’s what Dr Dennis Gross has to say about md Skincare Alpha Beta Daily Face Peel. " This anti-aging product not only diminishes the appearance of wrinkles, but helps complexion problems, balances oil, tones skin and increases clarity and radiance. Plus, it proves a daily, gentle approach can give superior results vs. a harsh approach. Like exercising daily is better than a long workout once a week, it’s better to treat your skin daily

Girls please post and let us know what you thought about md Skincare Alpha Beta Daily Face Peel. I believe you, it’s skin!

Here’s why I believe Dr. Dennis Gross is on to something here! Most of my friends already know I have ridiculously sensitive skin - However, what you might not know is the countless opportunities I’ve had to have a face peel done and the only peel I have had was my tires peeling rubber far away from such a treatment.. The Dr. actually has come up with a rather promising product here for people like me.. There are a lot more of my sensitive skin people out there that would also use and like this like me. So far, so good, I have had no adverse reactions to md Skincare Alpha Beta Daily Face Peel. I am all for this anti-aging product. If it helps my complexion in anyway by balancing my skin in a gentle manner without any harshness to my skin, I am in!

I've got mixed feelings on this product. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I thought the process was a little time consuming and confusing. Anyway, once I got all the sweeping and steps down, I was happy with the initial results. My skin was definitely smoother. But after two days and two peels, I noticed my skin felt extra “tight” and dry. It also lost that initial glow and was sort of red. I stopped using these pads then and have not gone back to them. However, I think Ddoll, has the right idea (she’s so smart!) That this would be great for a once weekly peel, when you are in need of some serious cleaning and sloughing of your skin.

I was a little scared about testing this. It seemed like something a professional should be doing, not me in my jammies. "Peel" is a kind of scary word. Which is funny cause I can scrub my skin with just about anything without blinking an eye. But somehow peel had me afraid. But this was very was gentle and I had noticable results. My skin looked very glow-y afterwards and really smooth. I didn't use it daily, I'm a rebel and directions like that bring out the worst in me. But really, as gentle as it is-I don't think I'd really like to (or need to ) peel my face everyday, as I wouldn't scrub my face every day either. But the once or twice a week I've used these since have been effective. Good stuff!

I really love this product! My skin is instantly radiant, so soft and just had this gorgeous gleam to it. I now prefer using chemical exfoliators over phsyical exfoliants actually now, too. I never thought I would; always believed that "at home checmial peel" stuff was a bunch of bunk. But someone suggested these and here I am posting away. I feel as though it gives me better results on all areas of my face.Especially after a night stuck in a lounge/bar/club/pub where the ventilation is absurdly bad and my skin feels smothered by ucky, yucky smoke this is my saving grace for my pre-night out complexion. And over all, my make up goes on smoother and if I'm starting to produce any pimples, it calms them down and helps any products I put on top work better as well.

I'm with chichi on the mixed emotions. I liked the effect of these...although it was a little extreme so I think once a weekthese would work just fine. My skin felt tight and clean. But it did get a little red, and the whole wait 2 minutes before step 2 and use until the pad is dry...well lets just say I didn't do that. I found the look of my skin nice and smooth, but after I checked this product out on line and I have to say its way too pricey for me to purchase. I liked it, but after 2 weeks of using it I wouldn't spend the extra money on it. So I know this is a mixed review....yes I recommend it because its good, but no I don't if your watching your dollars. I think their are other products for much less money with just as good of an outcome.

Oops, hit "Post it" Before I finished. I didn't really reel/see a difference with this. It reminded me too much of the days when I used Clearasil pads. Plus, I like to SCRUB my face with a SCRUB. Cosmedicine Medi-morphosis. Fresh Brown Sugar Face Polish. Decleor Purete Exfoliante. Korres Almond Meal Scrub. Dr. Brandt's Microderm in a Jar. I've tried them all. Loved any of them more than this one.

I had the luxury of getting a facial at Qua Spa at Caesar's Palace for my bday last week. The esthetician had gorgeous skin (of course) and when we started talking about my concerns (acne, discoloration from acne, wrinkles) she said she reccomend one product more than any other-both to friends and clients. She said it's a powerful, yet gentle cure all for almost any skin problem. When she started to describe the 2 step peel process, I stopped her and said "wait-is it MD Skincare?! I've tried it and I love it!" So of course, with my first winnings I went and bought it. I've gotta say, she's right. My skin is looking absolutely fabulous since I've started using this every other day. Sephora had a great box set paired with their $90 firming serum that was free. An amazing deal. So now there are 2 facialists within these 10 reviews that reccomended this. I whole heartly agree.

I got bullied into buying these by my last facialist who informed me they would buildup my collagen, even out my skin tone, treat the sun spots which frame my forehead and basically solve all my skin problems. I must say that my skin has been SO soft sinceI started using these little babies 3 weeks ago. My sun spots are still there and the blackheads on my chin haven't budged but my pores are tighter and I find myself using less foundation to even out skin appearance. The peel is so easy to use. Wipe the firsttowel over your face. Wait 2 minutes... I always wait a bit longer since I can't feel it doing anything... and then wipe the 2nd cloth over the same area to finish. Voila! Smooth skin. Has anyone actually figured out what the second cloth really does? I can't tell. All in all, great product but a wee bit pricy for the results.

I actually like these, but I agree that you you only need to do it 1-2 times a week, and I have really oily skin. I used these a year ago, and I remember getting a lot of compliments on my skin when I was using them.

Well, I'm not really a fan of these. I used them daily for about two months, and my complexion actually got worse. I have skin of steel, so it wasn't a sensitivity issue. They just didn't work for me. I see better results with Peter Thomas Roth Gentle Complexion Correction pads. Also, the whole two-step process (the actual "peel" pad and then the neutralizing pad - which you are supposed to wait to apply about 2 minutes afterfirst step) really put me off.

I've used almost three sets of these face pads now, thinking "you really have to stick with something to see results." I have to say, I don't think they are working, yes, I see some traces of makeup on the first pad, but really these are soooo expensive! I started buying them when my aesthetician praised them and recommended them for my acne prone skin. I've been seeing her for regular facials and it has helped but I'm still looking for something that will really give me results! I just ordered the clarisonic brush, by the way for those of you who want one and are cash poor they do have a payment plan available on their website. It takes 49.00 out per month till it's paid. Also, if anyone has any recommendations about products that have helped clear their skin up, I would appreciate it!

I loved these little babies. My skin really pisses me off. It's dry and I have pimples and blackheads at the same time, I have discolorations (from God knows what since it never sees the light of day) and it often looks dull. I think, like it's mother, it's very moody. It often seems upset or unhappy in some way. These little pads really calmed it down -- a little Prozac for my overly sensitive skin. And, honestly, I stopped bothering much with the neutralizing pad. I didn't seem to really need it. I looked into purchasing them but was a little scared off by the price. I will probably revisit it again when I get desperate...like when this cyst developing on my chin develops into a full blown neurosis.

Jennika, I think the second pad is a neutralizer so your face doesn't actually peel off! But I could be wrong.

I have since took back the Peter Thomas Roth Pads.  Even though I LOVE the idea of the alpha beta peel.  I have come to the realization that this is just too much for my sensitive skin right now. However, I have used it in the past when my skin was oily and acting up.  This product got me back on the road to recovery!
