GloMinerals Glo Liquid Lips
Hi, My name’s Desertdoll and I’m the self-imposed lipgloss maven of Meg’s Makeup. So when we got a shipment of gloMinerals glo Liquid lips, it was only obvious that I wrote the post (Ok, I scooped it up like I wasAngelina and it was a foreign baby, no one really stood a chance). The ladies around the office like to tease me that it’s all just an act to get more product, but honestly-I am very discriminating. I like different glosses for different reasons, they all serve specific purposes and damn it, I won’t lie-I’ve met very few I don’t like. But tell me, what other item can bring so much joy? Blush? Ha! Eyeliner? Please! Foundation? Don’t make me laugh! But I can say, if it’s overly sticky, way too frosty or smells TOO much like food-I probably won’t like it. So because I can, I’d like to now present to you my lipgloss hall of fame (drumroll please, and in no particular order):
Stila Lip Glaze in Brown Sugar-the perfect shimmery light tan. Lola in Rush-a dark red shimmer that can spark up day lips or be layered over lipstick at night for a more sultry look.
Freeze 24/7 Plump Lips in Ice-the only plumper that I felt really made a noticeable difference, plus it goes on clear but turns your lips a light, popsicle pink. It's like Science! Tarte Double-Ended glosses-I can’t pick a favorite here. Jake and Samantha, Daisy and Gatsby, Fred and Ginger-adorably named famous couples equals sheer, gorgeous glosses. Plus, 2 for 1, a girl knows a good deal when she sees one!
Too Faced Diamond Gloss in Canary-just like it says, it’s like putting a coat of crushed yellow diamonds on your lips. Great alone but wonderful over lipstick too.
Smashbox Limited edition in Beauty-oh why, oh why can I not get this gloss in a full size?! It’s part of mini collection and was never made larger. It’s a gorgeous sheer coral that is pure summer. Seriously, this gloss is happiness with a wand.
Kiehl’s Moisturizing in Tawny Gold-this is the only pot in the bunch, a not quite pink, not quite peach, absolutely perfect on everyone shade that lasts forever.
The Balm Plump my Pucker in Cherry my Cola-a dark pink shimmer, lightly cherry coke flavored gloss that works with any look I may have on. This is the most versatile gloss on the list.
Scott Barnes Flossy Glossy in Vivid, a hot pink, ready to raise a ruckus, kind of color that is perfect for a night out with the girls. Plus this gloss really has a lot of pigment, almost like a liquid lipstick.
The final gloss in my hall of fame will be a mystery for the moment. Here’s what gloMinerals have to say about their gloss: “A high shine, luxurious formulation for an ultra-moist look that lasts while rich nutrients condition and protect. gloLiquid lips is a true mineral makeup innovation proving high fashion can also be good for your lips.” Is gloMinerals one of my favorites? Is it one of yours? Is lipgloss the key to happiness?! Ladies-please post now!

I've been BFF with desertdoll since Junior High and I can confirm that she is OBSESSED with lip gloss. Any color, any price, any brand - she’s never meet a gloss that she doesn’t want to buy. There have been more than a few occasions where I’ve made her whittle down the handful of glosses clutched in her hand as we stand in Sephora and I’m all “you don’t need all of those”. And the sign of a true addict? Ddoll always thinks that yes, she needs every single one, but will grudgingly return one or two glosses that look exactly like 20 others that she already owns. The best thing about this is that I am never at a loss when I need to buy a gloss. Whenever a particular one catches my fancy, I just call Ddoll and get her opinion. She’s yet to steer me wrong!
If DesertDoll is the MAVEN of lip gloss, then I am BABY MAVEN of lip gloss! This gloss was inbetween sticky and slick. The consistancy didn't bother me. The color I got was a bright candy pink. It was surprisingly opaque. It was a nice bright, flattering color. It had great staying power. I wouldn't add it to my hall of fame, but it was a nice gloss.
I have a lip gloss obsession too! And this was a welcome product to test!!I really liked it.. I was surprised.. it goes on a little thick which I normally don't like, but it wears really well. It does have a bit of a fruity taste, but I didn't mind it. And it stayed on well, like a sheerishlipstick..I tried romance which is a very pink-pink in the tube but went on lighter than I anticipated and after about 15 minutes it was lookin' real good! I may order another color because I like the fact this has a lipstickkind of staying power and look with all the visable signs of lip-gloss...does that sentence make sense to any one.. I hope so =)
I too cannot own enough lip gloss. Assorted lip gloss tubes can be found everywhere including my car, in various rooms of the house, even my desk drawer at work. I can never have enough. GloMinerals lip gloss is a new comer to my collection. I recieved the romance shade. I have to say that I love the consistency of the gloss. It is by no means, sticky and surprisingly does not have an overwhelming thickness to it like many glosses do. It is also has a very pleasant smell and as a first for me doesn't have that chemical taste to it. The color itself wasn't very compatable with my skin and was a little too pink for me, but I would definitely try this in another color because I love the gloss itself!!
Ok, now on to GloMinerals lip gloss that I tested in Romance, a fairly bright looking, barbie-doll pink straight from the tube. I was extremely worried the color would be too bright and pink for me. But once applied it was actually very wearable and flattering. I love discovering that colors I might not necessary reach for in the store are actually a good choice for me. I also liked the consistency of this gloss, it was a little on the sticky side but wasn’t messy and stayed in place (on my lips). And I enjoyed the sweet and fruity taste and smell. Plus, since I use this as a day time gloss, I love the simple tube for application. Just dab a bit on the lips, no mirror necessary and go.
Ooo, I'm glad to see I'm not alone! It's funny, with the first wear I didn't think I was going to like this cause it's got the 3 things that I listed above that I dislike in a gloss-it's a tad sticky, a smidge frosty and it smells like rasberries, though not super strongly. But it's not so much any of those things that I wouldn't give it another try. Second wear I didn't apply so much and I added a clear gloss on top which helped with the sticky and the frosty. The main thing going for it (for me anyway) is the color. I tested Romance, a bright cotton candy pink that's really pretty. I agree with Beautyzilla (baby maven!), a nice gloss but not in my hall of fame. Which means there's an opening in my line up.....
Thanks for telling me about all those new glosses. Desertdoll is now a woman after 2 ppl's hearts lol!!! Desertdoll u are blessed! :) I love lipgloss!! Addicted can we say? (gee, i'm trying not to be) But even if i really am, i'm trying to get some that have some fruit pigments going on like Lola. So as soon as i saw the Lola Indulgence Review, I went and ordered one! (Will post a review AS SOON AS i try it)! Thanks Desertdoll, ur a doll!
I couldn't wait for this product to be posted. It's actually my fav gloss I have tested thus far. I received romance like everyone says really bright looking at the tube. When I first pulled the product out I thought I'm never ever going to wear this. Any gloss I wear goes over my must have product of peppermint chapstick because most glosses, lipstick and lip blams dry my lips. I guess the chapstick really helped because I didn't feel the stickyness that DesertDoll did. I hate tacky stuff on my lips. I am almost down to the last drop of this and will buying this product again shortly. I highly recommend this gloss. This does make it in my hall of fame.
Ok, UGH. This is the third time I've written this comment and appparently it doesn't like what I have to say here.Anywho, for the THIRD time, Desertdoll, you are a woman after my own heart. I love Stila Lipglazes (Guava, Tangerine, and Spiced Maple (last fall's collection). I love Those DiamondGlosses from Two-faced (Grapefruit for me). I love the Balm Glosses (Squeeze my Lemons, Spike my Punch, and Pink my Grapefruit). Not making your list which I highly encourage you to check out:Urban Decay Ultraglides: Sleek little tubes with good-smelling, just sweet-enough sheer glosses great alone or layered over a stain! I have Video, Heat, and Lust.DiorAddict Glosses - well...any of them.

Please please Desertdoll I beg of you, please bring your lip gloss collection the next time we all get together. I want to see all them there glosses. I used to have chapsticks everywhere and now like Jessiegirl I have glosses everywhere. In my car, in my desk at work, in my purses and I feel like I’m reading Green Eggs and Ham. The color I received from Glo Liquid Lips is romance it’s a little heavy on the frostiness for me, but that can be calmed down by mixing with a lipstick. The smell/taste is a little fruity so I find myself licking my lips. When I can keep my tongue in my mouth I found the gloss did have the staying power that the other testers talked about.
just the name of the product- glo liquid lips makes me want to buy this product!
I like pigmented, bright colors on my lips! No nudes!!!!!!! I have naturally red lips, so nude looks ridiculous on me :( It sucks because nudes are in :)
looks amazing! thank for the review!
