BEAUTY BLENDER SEASON OF LOVE SPECIAL!!!

Sun, 03/25/2007 - 2:30pm
  • Face

The beauty mavens at Beauty Blender sent Meg's Make-Up out some of their Beauty Blender Season of Love Set. The beauty blender package included 2 egg shaped, pink sponges and a functional cleanser especially designed to clean the sponges and created with a special built-in "drying" platform for them.

I've used sponges, fingers and brushes to apply my face paint. This beautyblender kit is a major celeb favorite and sold at really high-end locales. The last time I indulged myself and took a trip to Fred Segal's in Hollywood I saw this item almost sold out. The disgusting truth is that oil and dirt get trapped into your sponges so, just like your brushes, they need to be cleaned to prevent break-outs and bacteria.

Sometimes you should just buy something that makes you feel special and indulgent and I really think you should buy this. It's functional, we all have sponges and brushes that need to be kept beautiful. You're putting this stuff on your face! The first thing you present to the world is your face, even if you have a great set of knockers your face is your calling card. The harsh truth is that you are judged on what you put out there. If you have an orange toned seam framing your face that doesn't match the color of your neck you're delivering yourself a real kick in the ass!

I usually never do endorsements but this set is incredible. The sponges are unlike anything I have ever used to apply foundation with. The narrow tip really does evenly spread my make-up under my eyes and perfectly in the hard to navigate spots.

I was on a plane last night. I told the person sitting next to me that I wrote a "beauty blog". My new friend seat mate stared at me. Then said that I shouldn't write a "beauty blog" that it wasn't fair. "Why do you get to write a blog on make-up when you have the most beautiful skin I have ever seen"? I nearly died at that comment. I had been having a horrible skin day and took 30 seconds extra time to blend with my egg sponge. A whole 30 seconds!

Many celebs have been die-hard BeautyBlender users..Macy Gray, Jennifer Garner, Carmen Elektra, Mr. P. Diddy, Eve and Vivica Fox are only a few of the Hollywood set that clamor for this "must have". If that's not a jaded bunch then I don't know who is. They love it! I love it! I think you will too.

Here's what BeautyBlender has to say about their Season Of Love Special, let's start with their egg shaped sponges.." Now you can look like a movie star without the pricey services of a major make up artist. Introducing Beautyblender, the ultimate make up sponge applicator. Invented by top Hollywood make up artists Rea Ann Silva and Veronica Lorenz, Beautyblender has been created to leave you with a professional finish and a flawless complexion. Silva and Lorenz know that the key to a perfect face is simple: a perfect blend. So forget your fingers or sharp-edged triangular sponges, these application methods waste make up and can leave visible streaks.'

Here's what they have to say about the Make-Up cleanser that comes in the kit.." Wet Beautyblender. Apply a dime-sized amount of Blendercleanser to soiled areas of Beautyblender. Work into a lather, rinse, repeat if necessary. Squeeze to remove excess water. Set Beautyblender on insert pedestal to dry. You can also put Beautyblender in the Beautyblender pouch and toss it in the dryer. Be sure to use an air-dry setting; Beautyblender should not come in contact with extreme heat of any kind ."

Ladies, please post your reviews on BeautyBlender Season Of Love and let us know if you're falling for it!

A great product. Cuts the amount of foundation or concealer you use in half. And less product, but blended better equals flawless skin. And I love the stippling effect you can do with this, you can concentrate on an area that needs it or barely apply in an area that doesn't need as much help. And the pointy end-love it! Great for a pimple or a precise area like the corners of you nose. The cleanser is great too. Good for your brushes too and the pump allows you to get just a tiny amount. Another item I need to add to my ever expanding tool kit!

I bought the Beauty Blender kit with cleanser and I have to say, this is oneoverrated and overpriced item. The cleanser pump for the egg didn't work and thewebsite has no information on returns. I'll stick with my Lancome makeup brush and the makeup sponges from any drugstore or beauty supply store.

I'm not usually a fan of make-up sponges. They actually dry out your skin, and my skin needs all the moisture it can get! I gave Beauty Blenders a try and actually liked the stippling effect you get from them. It did give a smooth airbrushed effect. The whole kit is very decadent, with the little washing machine bags, cleanser, perch for the sponges, and more then adequit directions. Also, it was very fun to watch it blow up to twice the size when i washed it! If you are a sponge user, you need to buy this product pronto!

I rarely use foundation on my face, so I wasn't sure I would fall in love with this product...as much as I enjoyed the cute packaging. However, this was delivered to me the first day of a four day work event in which I'd be schmoozing with musicians. I had to break out the fancy makeup for this! In my haste to get to the hotel in time the night before, I forgot to pack any beauty sponges to apply with. Beauty Blender came to the rescue and saved the day! Being that I'm not too good at applying liquid makeup in the first place, Beauty Blender really made it easy for me. It didn't soak up too much foundation. It didn't cake my makeup on too thick, and was super easy to work with...especially with the handy-dandy cleanser included. Leave it to makeup artists to know what works best!

I saw these babies in the July Glamour. But we already knew that MM is totally on the pulse of beauty. I'm not normally a sponge girl, but even I'm intrigued.

Just before I received these little babies to test, I was looking around for those cool, pink, egg-shaped sponges that all the celebrities are using. So, I was a very happy participant in this testing. And all the rage is well founded. These things are great! They apply foundation so evenly and beautifully (Don't foget to bounce!) by virtue of their texture and their shape. I love the cleanser and the fact that it's a whole little kit. I didn't even know until this moment that the top was a drying stand. That's awesome since mine have been rolling around on the sink. Love them!

Outstanding! Are you kidding me??? Where have I been? Well, I know now, I was in a completely sheltered dark world called Dorkville! I never new this lovely pink egg and blender cleanser existed until now. How ingenious are the creators of this invention! It is by far the best make-up applicator hands down that I have ever used, and I have used them all. I love great brushes as would anyone, but holy smokes how great the coverage becomes without wasting your make-up! It’s easy and convenient! Everyone noticed this gem too. I brought it into work (where I share some of my newest finds) and everyone went nuts over it. They all want one now. It’s wonderful to actually witness the positive reaction of a great product-it literally made everyone so happy! It’s extremely easy to use; it’s soft and super flexible while in your hand. Why, it even manages to fit with ease into any hard to get to area-amazing little egg! It is fantastic. I love the way they dry quickly overnight after the simple cleansing process. I don’t go a day without it now. I am the next new beauty mavens Beauty Blender-a-holic. Thank you!

OK time to fess up: I'm such a hypocrite! First of all I'm a big recycler...but when I first opened the Beauty Blender and read the instructions I was like "I have to wash it? Bummer!" But once I wrapped my mind around it I found out how awesome these pink sponges are. They are easy to use, blend beautifully! You can get some better angles than with your disposable sponge because of the egg shape. And yes they are easy to clean. It takes about two seconds and you feel like they really are clean! (Did I mention I'm also a germ a phobe?) So they make my make up application fun and flawless and THEY ARE EARTH FRIENDLY! That's an extra added bonus! I'm sold!

I first found out about this product in cosmo magazine's website. Read some reviews online and decided to purchase it. Now, I've never used anything to apply foudation other than my own finger tips, but with this little blender I was able to nicely apply my liquid foundation making it look more naturally beautiful than I've ever been able to accomplish with my fingers.I kind of wish I researched enought to find out I could buy it at a store here because shipping to Hawaii is expensive and takes a while.

I bought the duo pack of beautyblenders that comes with the cleanser off www.camerareadycosmetics.com and I have to say it was one of the best purchases I ever made! The beautyblenders themselves are not only fun to use but they make my job a heck of a lot easier! My clients love the feel of them and a couple have even said they'd like to get one of their own. The cleanser is fantastic, makes cleaning them a breeze! And it's also a great brush cleanser! I do think the one drawback is the price though, especially since I have to order them from overseas. The duo pack worked out to be about $70 NZD - not cool. :(

I got one of these a few years ago and absolutely loved the seamless coverage this gives me.  I've never been able to get a great finish buffing with brushes; always seems to catch on any skin imperfection or dry spot.  My beauty blender got tossed during my last move so I bought a duplicate by Sonia Kashuk at Target.  It is good, but not as good.  These days I'm mostly using tinted moisturizer but if I start using foundation more regularly again I will pick up another beauty blender.

Everyone is raving about this sponge but I never liked applying my make up with a sponge, it is a bit expensive too and I think you can find something similar with less money!
