TIGI BEDHEAD SMALL TALK THICKENER!!

The fantastic reps from Tigi sent us some of their Bed Head Small Talk Thickener..blah,blah,blah. No, I'm not being rude and I am not sick of typing. Right there on the bottle it says blah, blah, blah. So yes, it's the product that’s being all sassy-nothing to do with me.
When I handed our tester ShopB this product she said "ooh, I love this. I use it already". Not only does she use it but I checked her profile and it made her top 3 products list.
ShopB has beautiful, full curls. I have stick straight, baby fine hair. I use to suffer constant perms (cut me a break, it was the eighties). Then the flat iron phase came around and I could rejoice! My hair already looks flat ironed. Well,
at least it has the flat part. Then the tables had turned! My curly haired ladies now knew what it was to chemically straighten, make appointments for pricey blow-outs and have to use a heated iron on their hair. I still think of all the clumsy curling iron burns I use to get along my hairline.
It seems like we're in this hair-phase now where you can wear your hair curly or straight. The fashions have cut us a break with that. Now it comes down to being full, bouncy and healthy looking. It almost seems easier to just go back to my stupid spiral perm.
Tigi has a great reputation and a great flair for packaging. Here is what Tigi claims for Bead Head Small Talk Thickener..."Thickifier - Adds body and volume. Energizer - adds life to limp hair! Stylizer - defines, separates and controls!"
Ladies please tell us if Bed Head has not only prompted small talk but also a few compliments for your hair!

This product was a big no for me. At first smell, yum-fruity! But within minutes I was pretty sickened by the sweeteness. So that was the hardest thing for me to get over. But in the name of science I gave it a few more tries. But alas, it just kept striking out for me. I didn't like the slimy residue it left on my hands. And, there's no directions on the bottle. Use it on wet hair, use it on dry hair, a pea size, a quarter? Who knows?! I've used Tigi hair products I really liked it the past (their oatmeal and honey shampoo and conditioner for example) but this didn't cut it for me.
i have really fine hair and i was hoping that this would work, but i found that it didn't really... i didn't notice a big difference, between when i was using it and when i wasn't. an upside though is that it smelled delicious.
Hey guys, I have never acually tried tigi bedhead products, but my hair is fine, medium abundance, long layered and the longest layer touches the top of my bra so its not overly long. What prods do u reccomend? I was looking at small talk thickener but it looks as if its for shorter and nearly already styled hair..and mostly frizzy. mine isnt frizzy.is superstar queen for a day any good for long hair? any help would be so greatly appreciated.
I was surprised that I like Bedhead. I do not normally wear this line so I was a skeptic. At first and I will have to agree with the others that the sweet smell is a little over powering. Once it calmed down, I was happy with the results. My hair stayed in place looking fabulous all day. Thanks Bedhead!
While I am completely put off by the fake strawberry smell of this hair product, I am completely impressed with the results it has in my hair. I have hair that is wavy, but not too wavy. This stuff, combined with a few minutes under a diffuser attachment with my blow drier, transforms my limp hair to have a ton of body and waves that stay around all day. In addition, it's not too goopy or sticky. And, once it dries in your hair, the smell isn't so bad after all. Highly recommended by me!
I swear by Tigi's Bedhead line. I have curly hair, but it can easily go frizz without the right ingredients... product, product, product. What I really like about Tigi products is that you can layer them on your hear without getting weighed down or sticky. Just desired results, and a natural feel. My product cocktail: in wet hair, mix equal parts Ego Boost and Superstar (aren't the names fab?). Style (curly, straight, whathave you). Finish off with Small Talk. Bask in hair fabulousness! I don't leave home without it!
Now, I usually like Bedhead products - well, I like their styling products. I'm not crazy about their shamps/conditioners. But well - Cute packaging and everything. But it didn't have any directions on the bottle. Wet hair? Dry hair? Dime-sized dollop? Quarter sized? Do I put in in my roots or all over? Having to put down my roundbrush and blowdryer and go to the Tigi website was HIGHLY inconvenient. I put it in semi-dry hair and it seemed to do ok, so next time I wash my hair and use it correctly (thank you tigi.com) i'll repost. I'm not all that crazy about the children's chewable tylenol tablets scent. I never liked those - they made me gag. Bad memories. But I can deal with the scent. So far, I'm not impressed, but I wuold love to be pleasantly surprised...

Well, I can give Bedheads Small Talk a pretty glowing recommendation. I have very fine, thin hair and am always testing out volumizers and thickeners. I was excited to try this Bedhead product Like others, I was a bit confused with just exactly how to use the product (some general directions on the bottle would help) so I used it like other thickeners. A nice quarter size dollop for my long-ish but fine hair worked from roots to end while wet, then my normal blow dry. While the sugary-fruity smell is strong, I didn’t mind it. Plus once I finished with my blow drying I was pretty happy. My hair definitely looked fuller and had a great bounce to it. Plus, it had some added shine and fly-aways were at a minimum. That evening I was hanging with Beebee and Meg, just drinking some champagne and chatting. About our fourth glass in, Miss Meg looked at me and said “Chichi, what are you doing with your hair? It looks so healthy” Wow - what a great compliment. I was happy to report it was my first time testing Bedhead and I have been using it daily ever since. If you suffer from flat hair, give this product a try.
I dye my hair blonde. My hair is dry at the ends and I'm always looking for product that gives it volume and makes it appear healthier. Unfortunately, "Bed Head Small Talk" is not it. It made my hair very sticky feeling and when I tried to get a brush through the ends after I dried my hair it was hard and stiff feeling. The smell reminded me of bubble gum it was too sweet. Sorry I'm not a fan :(
This stuff is great, yes the bubble gum-ish smell is annoying...However I love how fluffy NOT frizzy my hair felt. It was full of life and never went limp! It works best on wet hair, it can get too sticky for slighty damp or dry, BUT it makes your hair look great all day!
My girlfriend swears by this stuff, but she has nice natural curly hair. I've tried it on my fine somewhat wavy/straight hair and was not a huge fan. I did like the smell but did very little for my hair. I think it works best on curls and wet hair.
What if your hair is curly and already thick? I certainly don't need mine any thicker but could use the frizz control!
I've tried this in the past. It worked pretty well for me. My hair looked thicker and fuller, so I think it did its job. The smell was very sweet if I remember correctly, but I don't remember it lingering. I used it pretty often until it fell off the side of my bathtub and busted (not really a word, I know, but the only word that really describes it) all over the bottom of my tub. I never bought it again although it worked. I had too many other shiny new potions to try!
Didn't fo much for me wont buy it again but I kinda lked the bottler and the sent ....too bad !

Definitely a good product; my hair is not too fine but it is a little limp so this did give it an extra boost. BUT, it still doesn't compare to Fudge Pump It (in bedhead's defense, I don't think anything ever will!).
This stuff does'n work for me.
didnt work for me either
I don't use a lot of hair product but when I tried this out, i didn't see much of a difference.

i have fine hair and will try this.
I have never personally never tried bed head products and often have heard people raving about them. Might give it a try one of these days.
I have used a few BedHead products in the past. My hairdresser used this on me introducing me to the line. I also ended up exploring the shelves of Ulta eventually getting others in the product line "control freak", "some like it hot" and "brunette goddess". I think my favorite was "control freak", I LOVED it for the slight shimmer to the liquid and Oh my goodness what a fantastic smell. I am always trying something new so somehow I had forgotten about this, I'll have to make sure I get more. oh, did I say fantastic smell :-)
I`m looking for a product that gives volume to my hair and I decided to try this one. Thanks a lot for all the opinions and reviews. I hope it will work with me!
This stuff is fabulous! My friend loves it, it really helps your hair move and gives it more volume. Also smells delishious. I myself am a big fan of Bed Head.

I agree with lots of comments here...the smell was nice but after a while its just too much..so.. meh.
This product was just ok for me. I really liked the scent, but it's just an average performer.
