JUICE BEAUTY GREEN APPLE ANTIOXIDANT MOISTURIZER!!

Wed, 12/06/2006 - 12:21am
  • Face

The fresh and natural reps for Juice Beauty sent us some of their Green Apple Antioxidant Moisturizer. I was very excited to try this line as I have been eyeing it forever. The only thing holding me back? Right there on the bottle it says "The ORGANIC Solution".

I, (like you don't know this already, you read the blog) am a total weirdo. "Organic" generally scares me. When it comes to eating produce I'd rather swallow poisonous levels of insecticide then risk buying organic and biting into a worm. It also brings to mind Northern Californians wearing Birkenstocks and smelling like a homemade patchouli oil (excuse me but my skin is starting to itch).

However, after using the EXTEMELY natural Suki lemongrass scrub, I started to think, "hmm maybe there's something to this organic thing".

Now I'm intrigued. Do the Juice Beauty ladies grow their own apples, peel them and smash them into a puree? What will happen to me if I eat this moisturizer? I'm probably over thinking this.

My real thought is does all natural really work? Can we leave out the chemicals and still get great results? If yes, then what's up with all the chemicals?

Here's what Juice Beauty claims..."This nutrient-rich moisturizer combines a brightening complex of organic apple, lemon and grape juices, nutrient-rich essential fatty acids, and age-defying alpha lipoic acid, co-enzyme Q10, vitamin C, peptides and DMAE to replenish, nourish and firm aging skin morning and night".

Ladies please post if one treatment of Juice Beauty Green Apple Antioxidant Moisturizer keeps the *Dr. Away!
Dr. as in Plastic Surgeon

I love the fact that this cream is organic and natural. There is something wonderfully different about it and the only answer I can come up with is the it must be the ingredients. I often wonder what I'm putting on my skin with other products but with Juice Beauty you know the answer: juice! My skin believes it too as it seems to drink up this super emollient cream. It appeared thick the first time I put it on my face but I was surprised how quickly it was absorbed into my skin leaving it fresh and hydrated. The scent is very light and clean. I would definitely run to the store to buy this product and recommend it to all!

The smell of this product is heavenly and it leaves my skin moist, but not greasy. It seems very effective in this Wisconsin winter weather that is so brutal toones skin. I would definitely recommend this product - organic or not, it isterrific. The packaging is attractive as well.

I as well loved the Juicy green apple antioxidant cream. First thing that came to my mind when I smelled it was I could smell each of those in-gredients apple, lemon, and grape. I washed by face with anticipation, eager to try the cream that will take off 20 years...(aren't we always hoping ladies...) I applied the cream and I could feel my face absorb all that goodness-I felt a difference right away. I was not greasy or sticky even when I applyin the morning under makeup. I have used it for about 2 weeks and have got-several comments on my skin, the texture is smooth and radiant. "I feel pretty" quality...I would have to add this to my "can't live without"!!

I was very pleasantly surprised with this moisturizer. I put my favorite cream aside (Daphin's Predermine, which is super thick and moisturizing . Think La Mer X2) to give this cream a clean slate to be tested on. I had very low expectations. But you know what? It's really great! Super moisturizing. Smells delish! And is filled with all kinds of ingredience that I've heard are great over and over again from different sources. I put it on in the morning and my face still felt dewy by the late afternoon. I would not only buy this cream again, I will explose some of their other products too.

I have tried several of the Juice products and everything seems amazing, and this product is no exception. It has a wonderful scent, and leaves your face feeling smooth without that heavy feeling of some moisturizers. The all natural thing is pretty cool too.

The first thing I do when I buy a new cream (or any product for that matter) is smell it. I have to say that I was absolutely delighted by the light, crisp scent of apples, lemon, and a touch of grape that this cream had to offer my nose. When I first put it on, it felt a tad sticky, but, once it dried and sunk into my skin I could definitely see and feel a difference.... my skin felt tighter and it positively glowed! It also proved to be a great base for my makeup. I only wish that they made it with an SPF...

I tried the Juice Beauty Green Apple SPF 20 Antioxidant BODY moisturizer which is a little bit different than the face moisturizer. It has SPF 20 so I felt that I could use it out in the sun which would be a plus having moisturizer AND sunscreen in the same lotion! The lotion goes on very creamy - I don’t get as big of a sense of the smell in the way a lot of other reviewers commented on - and I LOVE smells but this one was pretty faint for me to even comment on - but it definitely wasn’t unpleasant. I put it mainly on my hands as they are one of the most sun damaged areas of my body and I have to say they made my hands REALLY soft. The lotion seems to soak in and yet seem to still be noticeable on my hands - they feel moist! I feel the ingredients are wonderful on your skin! I just love how moist my skins feels after applying this product!

Ahhhh is what I say each night I open the jar and dip my finger in to get a dollop of this moisturizer. The smell was the first thing I really liked about this product. It is so fresh. I find for my skin it works best when I use it at night as it’s a little heavy for me to use under my makeup. I got those pesky shinny spots in the middle of the day. But as a night cream it’s perfect. Not only have I been using it on my face, I’ve also been using it on my neck. You younger girls, listen to an older and more wrinkled lady...............start moisturizing that neck of yours now!! I will be taking a longgg plane ride this holiday, you can count on this moisturizer being pack in my carry on, it will be perfect for that dry cabin air.

Who could not love this little jar of joy? It smells terrific and it feels like it's giving my skin a cool drink of water (or apple juice as the case may be). I have no problem with better living through chemicals (and btw: I'm all about the needles) but I also love the organic thing. My skin is very sensitive and almost every mositurizer under the sun makes me break out. Those $500 jars of Le Mer? Too rich for me (on every level). These organic ingredients in Juice Beauty treat my skin with a gentle hand. "Calming" is always a good word for me in skin products, because, like its owner, it has a tendancy to get easily aggravated and irritable. Juice Beauty is a winner!

Well, I could have sworn that I wrote this one up already...but you know, I was tripping apparently. I LOVE this line. I actually used the SPF 30 Green Apple Moisturizer and I've used the Oily/Combination cleanser. When I was using the moisturizer, i think that was the healthiest my skin has ever been. It was unbelieveable. A gorgeous glow! Problem is the pump on the bottle doesnt work well.I do really like the Antioxidant moisturizer also..I've tried a couple samples of it. The milk cleanser from this line is wonderful...and the lipbalms. They smell so good!

I barely even noticed the word "Organic" until I came to write this review! Honestly, this cream doesn't lack anything for being touted as a "natural" product. My skin is getting drier these days, and Juice Beauty's Green Apple moisturizer hits the spot. It feels substantial going on, and is a tiny bit too thick at first, but sinks in after about 30 seconds, leaving me with soft, supple skin. I've only been using it for about a week, but... is it just me, or does my skin look a bit brighter & more glowy? At the very least, this cream, with its light & pleasant fruity scent, feels very soothing, and doesn't sting even around the eye area. And the antioxidants can't be bad, right? All in all, I think this one's a winner!

I have used this and I have to say, it's fantastic! That being said, I have found that the JB Nutrient Moisturizer works just as well for me, and it's a bit cheaper.  It also seems to last longer, as it's a thicker cream and I need to use less. The green apple, though..the smell...the heavenly smell...it really is delicious!

I had used other Made from Earth skincare products before, and liked them, so figured I'd try the Vitamin Enhanced Moisturizer. I've been using it for about a month now, and really like it. I was having issues with combination skin vs. dry windy winter weather, and this Made from Earth Vitamin Moisturizer is really helping quite a bit. I'm lazy about using moisturizers so I don't use it every day, or twice a day, but when I use it my skin feels better. That has motivated me to be better about using it then any product in the past has. It helps the dry without adding any trouble in the oily areas. It doesnt smell since its fragrence free, and once it's on your face and absorbed it fades completely. Everyone has different skin, but this is worth a try. The price seemed expensive at first, but considering it lasted me for three months, its way worth it - usually moisturzers finish in a month - but this last 3 months so its a GREAT value buy.... also i bought online at their website at www.madefromearth.com - i found that cheaper (even with the shipping cost) rather than in the stores..
