SUKI LEMONGRASS EXFOLIATING CLEANSER!
The pure and natural reps from Suki sent us some of their Lemongrass Exfoliating Cleanser to test out. This company is hard-core natural and organic. The creator, Suki Kramer, was (sounds like me actually) obsessed with high-end beauty products but she had uber sensitive skin. I feel your pain Suki!
She started her own line and she healed up her skin problems with her natural remedies.
I have sensitive skin, unlike Suki, I was not creative enough to start my own line of products. I do search for something that will cleanse out my pores with-out leaving a rash on my chin and nose though-we have that in common.
It's really unfair. Sometimes I'll find a fantastic shampoo that makes my hair look like a million (o.k. a hundred) bucks only to leave an outbreak on my face!
Suki claims of her Lemongrass Cleanser "the key ingredient for clear, healthy skin. our gentle exfoliate increases cell turnover & unlike damaging glycolics, utilizes natural, safe aha's & bha's, awakening a fresh, new layer of skin safely & gently. clears & evens skin tone. this product is vegan".
Ladies please post if the Lemongrass Cleanser is the answer for sensitive skin looking for a deep cleaning !

This product smells heavenly! Is there anything better than the smell of lemon? Reminds me oflemon curd. The beads are effective when you gently scrub and then they actually dissolve into this lovely, foamy, creamy lather than leaves your face feeling moist and clean. I will continueto use this product. It really is the best scrub that I have tried. Thanks Meg's Makeup!!
I can't say enough good things about this cleanser. I LOVE IT!!!! I cannot get enough of this stuff. I even wanta eat it, beacause it smell sooooo GOOD. All the good stuffyou read about this product it's all true. I'm going to buy some to give for gifts for my girlfriends.
I LOVE THIS STUFF!! I found it via this site and all the positve response prompted me to orderthe Suki sampler...all of which I really love! This cleanser in particular is so nice and gentle and for a scrub that's amazing in my book!! My skin felt so clean, and calm! It smells good to boot. I would recommend itto anyone and everyone!! Three Cheers for the recommendation ladies!
I"m crazy about this stuff, too. Thank you to everyone who turned me on to this and told me not to mix it with the Clarisonic, though. That would've definitely been way too much, but going back and forth between the two is wonderful-been Clarisonicing every night but 2 nights a week when I use this scrub - although I want to use this more. I got the Suki starter kit and am not crazy about the rest of the products. Well, I do like the shiitake toner - smells really nice and isn't harsh, but seems to be doing something. This also smells a lot like the Pacifica body butter in Thai lemongrass, so if you use both at the same time, you're just one big yummy lemon - love it!!
This was one of the first items I purchased after discovering this website. This cleanser is amazing, and my husband uses it as well (which is very strange for him to repeat anything I suggest to use). It leaves your skin feeling clean, but not overstripped and very soft. LOVE this and definitely will try more of the Suki line in the future.
One word: YUMMY! Smells WONDERFUL!!! Great exfoliation, yet foamy as well. I find that most exfoliators are grainy and exfoliate but don't foam up. This one does BOTH!! So it refreshes your skin while removing make-up at the same time. The only problem is that I want to eat it, or bath in it, or use it ten times a day!!! I highly recommend this product.
Could I possibly love this scrub any more? No. I too have sensitive skin and as much as I also want to be part of the yummy scrub party, they usually aggravate my skin. I see them in the store and I smell them and I want some and although my facialist says "you need to exfoliate" my dermatologist says "No, nothing but Cetaphil and glycolic acid for you." But that's no fun! So, Suki is right, the ingredients in this product allow me to be part of the party and it leaves my skin feeling like it sparkles without aggravating it. Plus, I love the way it goes on and lathers with that thick, white scrub. It matches my fantasy about a scrub. The only thing that is a little difficult is that it seperates and it's hard to mix it together. I've just been digging in and making sure I get both the oil part and the scrubby part but I think next time, I'll try a wooden stick (like the kind for spreading wax). I will not let this stop me.
Oh dear, yes. It is that good. It smells and tastes divine (I've had some find its way on my lips accidentally, too). Ihad to use it for a week or so before my skin started to look different, but it does now. My skin is so smooth andhas a pretty, healthy, rosy glow. I get eczema flare-ups on my chin in the winter, and it has helped those tremendously as well. Ifollow the scrub with a mild soap cleanser, though, since I get breakouts. Highly recommended!
I've been looking for this cleanser/scrub since I discovered Meg's Makeup. It's the first review I read here. I finally found it last week at my local grocery store Central Market. WOW!!!! It is just as amazing as everyone says. The smell is soooo delicious...who doesn't like lemons? I can't even tell you how much my face was glowing after I used this. The only thing I can compare the glow to is the look I have just after a steamy roll in the hay. My face is so soft. I love the way it foams up instantly and isn't too harsh. I would definitely try other Suki products after this. I am so glad I added this to my collection.
I am posting a follow-up here to my earlier review and comments on the scrub. At first I followed the scrub with a mild soap, but now I use the White Willow Toner afterward, and then the Blue Chamomile serum with truly amazing results. I ran out of the scrub and then serum a couple of weeks ago, and sure enough, I promptly broke out and my skin looked dull. I really just can't rave enough about Suki.
Six months later and this facial scrub is still a staple! I just ran out of the scrub and it was sold at at my local health food place (Erewhon in L.A. which, fyi, has the best salad bar around). So, I went to Suki's site to purchase this and peruse the other items available - decisions, decisions. That's when I found the two mini skin care kits with trial sizes of 8 different Suki products for experimenting - what a great deal! I can hardly wait to follow Amybees advice and follow up this scrub with the toner. Oh, and if your feeling indulgent they also have the Oscar Nominee Gift Box, it has full sizes of a ton of items and I totally want it!
Suki Lemongrass cleanser just may be the best facial scrub I have ever used. It smells wonderful and goes on your face even better. It turns into a cream, after you massage it in your palm lightly, that leaves your face feeling clean, soft and polished. You really need to try this product to see what we are all talking about. I would never think a scrub could work this well on my face, butit does. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate the chance to test this product. I will definitely continue to use it.
The first thing you notice is how great this product smells. I am a big citrus fan and if you are too you will fall instantly in love as well. I have to tell you that this product is incredible. This is one of those products you read about which costs a little more than what you are used to paying but is absolutely worth ever penny. My face instantly looked brighter and felt softer as soon as I used this scrub. I work out everyday and as a result I get dead skin buildup. Using this scrub completely rid of dead skin and now I have a glow to my skin. This will be in my vanity for many years to come.
Okay, so I'm drinking the Kool-Aid on this scrub. After searching for it for the last month or so, I finally got my grubby, little mits on a jar. It smells FANTASTIC. I love anything that smells like lemons. I love how it foams up and you know to stop scrubbing when all of the grains dissolve. My skin feels so clean when I use this. Thanks for telling me about this product, ladies!
I got 3 emails about this stuff from fellow testers before I had a chance to try it. "Oh my god! Don't you just love the Suki cleanser?!" I have NEVER had an email about a product before I tried it, ever. So I knew I was in for something good. They did not fib-oh my god, this stuff is amazing. I've heard wonderful things about natural lines, but the trouble is they usually don't sell them in the regular places. You have to come across them in a health food store or get a reccomendation to search them out. Well let me tell you right here-FIND THIS LINE! You're first hit with the amazing smell, like lemon sorbet. And as it's gently scrubing your skin, it starts to foam. And foaming to me always equals clean. Then you rinse it off, and it rinses easily and very clean. No residue. And I'll admit, I got some on my lips and it even tastes good! How pure is that?! But the moment when I truly knew I was in love was when I checked out my skin after drying it. I looked instantly better, my skin softer and brigher. It me me say "wow' out loud. I will buy this stuff till my dying day and can't reccomed it highly enough!!!!
Wow - what an amazing find! This scrub is everything all of the testers have claimed and more! I was slow to test this product, because (as you can see by my profile) I have been married to a particular face cleanser for years. Plus, as much as I appreciate the natural and vegan aspects of this line, I was one of those that thought you needed lots of chemicals and even a little stinging to really clean your face. I was wrong, after cleansing with Suki Lemongrass Exfoliating Cleanser my skin felt completely clean, plus the tiny flakes of skin that the dry weather has been bringing were gone. This product looks, feels and smells great - the sweet, lemony scent reminds me of the Fresh line that has been so popular lately. I like that body scrub, but it is too oily and leaves a residue behind. Not Suki, this cleanser rinses completely clear. I have been keeping this in my shower and using every morning on my face, neck and decolletage. My skins is smoother, my black heads less noticeable and I haven’t had a single pimple since I started using the product. Highly recommend this product and line!
After hearing Meg wax rhapsodical about this product for the past year or two, I finally tried this out. I was walking out the door at Whole Paycheck and they had a basket of giveaway Suki samples at the customer service desk, and I took 3 of the cleansers to take with me on a weekend trip. Wow! Yum! This is like no other cleanser I've ever used. A sugar scrub for your face that smells like dessert? Sold! I'll 2nd what everyone else has said, and repeat that it foams, exfoliates and leaves your skin super soft but not stripped. Will buy full size for sure!
its really hard to find vegan beauty products and im glad i came across this. I have super sensitive skin, and this definitely sounds promising
I also have sensitive skin and I would now totally love to try this.
looks so promising... would love to try this. the organic and meant for sensitive skin is a big plus.
this looks really nice!
Looking for another scrub, thank you for the review
