BOURJOIS 3D HIGHSHINE LIP GLOSS CELLPHONE CHARM!
Emily, the hippest of the hip PR rep for Bourjois sent us their very own 3D Highshine Lip Gloss Cell Phone charms in tons of different shades. Ladies, when you review, please be sure to mention the color you were lucky enough to try.
When Meg's Make-Up ladies get together to separate and distribute the products out to our lucky testers there is a lot of wine and conversation and wine that goes on. I opened up this box from Bourjois and thought "what the heck is this"? Our well-traveled tester, Blus Lee Lee took one look at the gloss and piped up "Oh, that's huge in Japan. All those Harajuku girls have trinkets and glosses hanging from their cell phones. I guess they're starting that trend over here".
That made me think of a book on cosmetic counter marketing that I read eons ago. One of the tricks that the make-up companies put in their salesperson's arsenal is the "big overseas" pitch. The U.S. Chanel staff is trained to say "This is huge in Paris, all the French women go crazy for this". The pitch in Paris? Yup, you got it "This is huge in New York; all the American Women go crazy for this".
Is Gwen Stefani single-handedly responsible for making the "Harajuku Girl" the new hipster trendsetter? A while back we tested some (awesome) products from Boscia. One of our testers wrote "It must be good-it's from Japan". Have we moved from the Europeans as our beauty idols to the Far East where the ideal is now a "Japanese complexion, one that the world admires"? In Tokyo are the women still getting their eyes "Westernized" to look like they're from LA? I guess the grass is always greener.
It's probably a lot to read into from getting a lip-gloss cell phone charm but you never know if it's a sign of the times. All I know is, I have a Blackberry so this is going on my keychain. Oh yeah, one other thing. I'll carry the gloss but I'm drawing the line at carrying a fuzzy pink backpack in the shape of Hello Kitty. I'm all for being a trend setter but a girl needs her limits.
Here is what Bourjois says about their lip gloss..."Make sure you have 3-dimensional volume and shine all the time with this must-have by Bourjois. The Effect 3D Mobile Lip Gloss Mini includes a tiny lanyard that attaches to your cell phone in seconds. Incredible looking lips are at your beckon call".
Ladies please post if this gloss made you feel internationally fabulous or if you'd rather just stick with your favorite sushi joint.

Ok, I saw my first one yesterday. And it was attached to the cellphoen of one of the most beautiful girls I've seen in this god-forsaken country. Sorry, I can't add anymore because my foot is in my mouth.

I was lucky to recieve the color gloss that is posted up above. It a pink sparkly color calledBrillant. I love it! It is so smooth, and has a nice flavor and smell to it. I didn'tknow till I read this that it goes on your cell phone (I guess I should have since there is a picture of a phone on the gloss), but I ended up putting it on my keychain, and I think it is so nice to have a gloss on me at all times when I am out. Even if I leave my purse in the car and need a quick touch up, it is always with me. And it looks really cute on there too. I ama really "girly" girl so I really do love this! :) It looks nice with a liner under it or just byits self. Makes my lips feel little more plump too (that is a plus!!!!).
Sorry, I just think they're goofy. But here in Paris, everyone has charms on their cellphones. I havent seen any lipgloss charms...however.

I would love to know if I am the only one who found it odd that the first ingredients in this product is Cholesterol. I was very shocked by that. Anyway, I received Brillant. I didn't notice that it increased volume but it was shiny and smooth. I also like the brush on this tube. I think I may buy the Beige Elastic for someone for Christmas based on Lola's recommendation of the color. Brillant works well for my skin tone and is great for those times when lipstick is to much or no shine gloss isn't enough. I will buy this product as long as they continue to make it.
Ok, I saw another one.

I saw this and I think it's really cute. Personally, I would not buy it. 1-charms -ALWAYS- break off my phone. I'm not going to rick it. 2-I have so much already, why would I buy it to so I can have it on my cellphone too?Come on ladies! You know as well as I know there's about 5 different glosses/balms/lipsticks in your purse!
Lately I seem to have divided my age in half (instead of shaving off a few years like I usually do). I have crushes on boys, stay up all night on the phone, TEXT message (which, by the way, you have to pay extra for: HELLO 400$ phone bill) and I joined MYSPACE and LOVE IT!!!! So it is very fitting that I now have a cell phone charm lip gloss. AND the lip gloss is really awesome! It gives my lips just enough color to make pink and pouty. Isn't sticky. And is so convienient to my 16 year ols life style. I will definitely be checking out more glosses from Bourjois! Next stop: glitter!!
I'm up to 3 now. I only have a week left though...

While I love the concept of being able to attach my lipgloss to my ever-present cell phone, the color I got was soooooo not for me. I received the Brun Galactic 04; I have blue in my lips, so I need an orange base in a lip color to counteract it, and it appears this must be blue based, becuase my lips look purple when I apply it! It does have a beautiful shine and a wonderful texture and scent, so maybe I'll give it a whirl in another color...
I bought this color in Beige Elastic and loved the color. Problem was, from the second that I opened it it smelled totally rank. I don't know if I just got a bad one, but I ended up throwing it away. But I did really like the color! Sad sad.
I guess I'm the only one that did not like this lipgloss. I love the idea although, after a thorough search, I found no place to hook this on my Razor. I have put it on my keychain which is great in case I'm caught without my bag but I thought the product was weak. I found the consistency kind of thick and dry. I tested Brilliant and it just wasn't for me. We've tested so many more glosses here on megsmakeup that are far surperior in my view.
Those are really cute, and they actually have some hot lipgloss color choices. I don't think you get a lot of product though, but anything that's super cute and can be attached to my cell phone is a hit to me!!!
Every time I shop with Chi Chi and she looks in my basket, she'll pick up whatever lipgloss I have to have at the moment and say "you really NEED this?" But I do! It may look like 12 of my other glosses at home, but they all have something different about them and that's why I need them all. Well, I needed this one too! For cuteness factor alone, it had to be mine. But it takes more than just being adorable to sway me when it comes to gloss, I'm super picky. And Rose Emblematic passed all my criteria. Doesn't smell like a cupcake-check. Not too sticky-check. Gorgeous color-double check! It's the perfect medium pink with lots of shimmer (not glitter) and a real shiny laquer-look. Plus, how fun would these be to pick a shade for the day and pop on your cell phone? Love it and will probably buy at least 5 more!
My cell phone doesn't have a place to attach the lanyard, but it doesn't matter, the cute gloss still rocks. It's non-drying, smooth, with just the right amount of colour and shine. The shade, Beige Thèoric, has just enough pink to go awesomely well with my skintone. It's all, "Hey baby, I make this nude lip thing look gooood". I love using it over Bourjois' rose coloured lip stain, or on its own. The tiny size means I can bring it anywhere, and the brush tip (SO much better than the felt doe-foot applicators!) make precise touch-ups a breeze. Granted, the Bourjois glosses are not exactly super cheap at about $20 CAD, but if you've got a few extra bucks to spend, I do think these are an excellent choice. Plus they'd make a great stocking stuffer for any lucky gal on your Christmas list!
I don't own the cell phone charm and probably wouldn't put it on my phone if I did but I do own 5 of these fabulous glosses. They stay put rather well and make my lips look lovely. I own Beige Elastic 01, Brun Galactic 02, Rose Idyllic 03, Framboise Energetic 11, and Beige Theoric 16. They are all wonderful but I'm especially fond of Beige Elastic. It's a nudie beige color with just enough sparkle.
Ever since my first trip to Paris about 5 years ago, I am a complete Bourjois 3D Lip Gloss Addict. Specifically,Rose Idyllic 3. I find the consistency amazing - it goes on smooth and is not at all sticky. I wear it alone duringthe day and put it over my lipstick in the evening. The fact that I can now attach it to my ever-present mobile ensures I will never be without.
It's a very cute little charm. i won't put it on my phone, but it does fit nicely into my littel makeup bag that goes everyhwhere with my. the cinsistancy and smell really really delightful,...i don't look great in pinks, but it's a great layering sparkle over my other lipsticks.
Mine could just be old but..... it's sticky.... REALLY STICKY. I won't be buying it again.
ahaha I had one with my LG last time you had no idea how happy I was =)

this is cute!! I have it myself :) but I'd never use the gloss inside... I pretty much just treat it as a accessory lol
i've tried the original bourjois 3D gloss, i thought it was "ok" the colour was very pretty very sheer, but the staying power was next to zero, also, my hair was constantly sticking onto my lips!
