Boscia California Orange Blotting Linens!!

The skin on Boscia's Jessica is so perfect she had to send us her secret! Boscia California Orange Blotting Linens arrived on our doorstep with the promise of clear complexion for days ahead!

I'm pretty shameless in describing my beauty routines so here goes. When I am in those lovely, slick, PMS skin days I try to head off the blemishes by taking extra strength Oxy and slathering it on my forehead, nose bridge and nose tip and chin. It is slippery, glistening, a snow, thick white, pasty if you will. That's how I'd describe this medicine while I apply it's process in the bathroom mirror. I almost think I over applied,
I didn't over apply. I look in the same bathroom mirror at the commercial break and IT'S GONE!! I swear, it has disappeared! Sure, I'm left with a flakey remnant but what happened to all my oil soaking medication?

I just remind myself that it's in their fighting, soaking and placating the oil, bacteria and shiny germs. How did this happen to me? Why do I have a field of fungi growing on my face? Sure the germ glue has shut it up for now, but what about when it attacks!!

What about when it attacks at a place I can't pour Oxy on? What if I need a quick, quiet place to conveniently put my shine to sleep?

Here's what Boscia Blotting Linens claims. Instantly blot away excess oil and perspiration without disturbing your makeup. Hint: Let your personality shine, not your skin! Tip: Perfect for lipstick blotting too. Made from finely-woven leaf fibers of the exotic Abaca Tree Plant and infused with the energizing essence of fresh California Orange to enliven your complexion. Slim package fits perfectly in your pocket, handbag or desk drawer.

Ladies please post if the only shine you sported was that of your glowing personality and not of your T-Zone.

Sorry about all of these reviews of long past products, but I just got her and I'm wandering through the archives. I didn't like these. Or rather my skin didn't. I don't like blotting papers with powders either, so I had hoped these would be good for me. But something in them gives me a red rash where ever they touched my skin. Given my past, I suspect it's the scent. Scented products are more likely to give me rashes and such than unscented ones.

I love blotting papers and have used many versions. But the Boscia California Orange are the best. I love the soft orange scent. I've found that some of the others leave a white powder residue and I was always finding myself feeling insecure about what I may have left behind after blotting. But these do not leave any cakey powder stuff. They simply take away the shine in unwanted areas. Love it!

Love 'em!!! I used to use the Japanese powdered version but always hated the way too light residue they left on my skin. These don't leave anything behind but take so much. Namely-all of the oil slick that seems to show up on my face at all times. Winter, summer, indoors, out-I am always greasy! I blame my ancestors. Anyway-these have a wonderful light orange smell and never cease to amaze me at how well they work. They turn transparent as they soak up your shine and are always fun to give to someone who's never tried a blotter sheet before. "I'm really not that oily" my friend said. Little did she know, we can ALL use a de-shining. I will never be without these again! I'm so impressed with this company. Affordable and fantastic all around.

The orange smell is subtle but lovely and the blotting linens are amazinglyeffective. Initially, I had them in my car console and would use themwhen I was stopped at a traffic light. I was amazed at how much oil theypicked up and decided to keep some in my car and some in my purse in a ziplockbag so that I would have them in both locations. I am taking them on mytrip to India later this week because the temperature there is currentlyin the 90's!!!! They will be great.

I hesitated in reviewing this product as I am not the right person for the product, it's not the blotting papers, it's me. In my whole life I could never imagine using blotting papers, I need every bit of oil/moisture I can get. I held on to them in my purse. I kept hoping I could help a person in need, it never happened. Then it occured to me to use my husband to test Boscia Blotting Papers. He liked the scent and didn't mind trying them out. Well, he loved them! I don't think he's sharing the news with his friends though.

Hee, how fun that we are all so amazed with the brilliance of blotting papers! They really do work wonders. I hate that feeling on your face when its hot and humid and you keep caking layer after layer of powder on your face. Boscia Orange Blotting Papers wipe up all the shine and grease on my face leaving soft matte skin (without adding another layer of powder!) I was worried about the orange scent and tone, but was wrong on both counts. The soft flesh tone blends in with my skin and the scent is so soft that it wasn't a problem , even with contacts. Snap these up, ladies - Boscia's blotting papers are a lifesaver!

I've never really used blotting papers "linens" before, but I have to admit I'm a fan. These are especially nice because they smell yummy. They also do the job or wiping the oil away.

Blotting papers RULE!!!! I've used other brands in the past and they are all pretty good. But none of them SMELL good! These small like oranges and that is an energizing scent. If your face is dripping with oil, it probably means you've been running around like a crazy person and could use a little energizing! All the products I've tried from this line are great and I would recommend this one too!

I am certain someone who lived/lives on the East Coast invented these. My sister recommended a version of these to me years ago. I grab them up when and where ever I see them. They are so cheap and really do wonders on a hot and humid PA day. This is the first scented version I have tried. The scent just didn't go well with my skin but I love the fact that this did not leave any residue (depending on the brand and cost you get a powdery substance on your skin). I gave them to a friend of mine who had never heard of such a product. Much like Desertdoll’s friend she promptly exclaimed "I'm not an oily person" my response was "Just try them" her response "EWWWW look at all that oil”. Having oily skin makes most women cringe and feel dirty and gross. On the other hand if you have dry scaly skin like my niece you pray to be able to use a blotting paper one day. Dry skin is very painful, oily skin is just embarrassing. Anyway cheers to blotting papers scented or unscented.

You never realize just how much oil you have on your face when you start using these. I recommend these especially when you are out. They smell great too. Love it!

I work in an office of all girls and we sit upstairs. Our building is kinda ghetto and our air conditioning doesn't work so good. We often have contests to determine who is the oiliest one. We definitely know our blotting sheets! One thing I noticed about these, are they are about twice the size of so many other's I've tried. It is usually a tiny rectangle of perfumey and powdery noisy paper. These are full-size squares of more fiberous paper so you can really get all parts of your face. These smelled SO orangey when I first got them, but it has definitely calmed down a lot. I love these!

If you have a dark complextion these are wonderful because they do not leave the white powdery mess some of the other brands do. Very important when trying to look your best. :)

These are great.  I've been using them since I received them from Meg to test a few years ago.  Instead of needing to "touch up" oily spots on my T-zone with pressed powder (which can cause "cakiness"), I pop out a blotting linen.   It absorbs all the excess oil on my face.  I do, however, prefer the Green Tea or unscented ones.  I don't think that they make the orange scent anymore.

I can't live with out blotter papers. These are not my usual ones as they are more expensive(but not too bad). But they are a nice little luxury. They smell divine. They really sop up the oil and they make you feel so refreshed. I highly recommend them!

On a hot humid day, these are a must have in your purse! I currently use their Green Tea version, since I haven't seen these yet at Sephora, and I adore them!
