LUMENE Berryfun Lipgloss
The brilliant PR Reps for LUMENE sent us out a bunch of Berryfun Lipgloss in tons of different shades to test!
You ladies kill me, you're hysterical. When you log-in to be a "Meg's Make-Up" poster there is a basic questionnaire to fill out. One of the questions asked was " what 3 items you would most want on a deserted island", the answers ran the gamut. Here is a brief sample of what your like-minded readers wanted...Anti-depressants, no men and the best one? Someone put they they just wanted eggs.
Alright, so those are a bit quirky. What did the most of you want? Sunscreen and..LIPGLOSS!! Lipgloss over champagne, vodka and, oh, I don't know..WATER!?!?! Obviously, we have A BUNCH of women that swear by their lipgloss. Maybe they wanted to impress the natives..
Ladies, when you post for this item please add the number on the base of the tube that you tested. As I mentioned we got A LOT of colors to shine our lips with!

I got this pup in #10 (A true-red shade). I really liked the color. The flavor/scent was a little too BonneBell LipSmackers for me. Got irritating after about 3 minutes. It wasn't too special of a gloss-not all that long-wearing. We can do better than this.

I received color #13 - "Never Ending Love", which is a very versatile pinkish-brown color. I love this gloss - its not tooheavy, doesn't cake up by day end, and has just the right amount of shimmer/shine to wear anytime. I love the berry flavor (...I don't eat my lip gloss, but the taste on my lips is really nice ;-) I have experimented with various lip liners -- pink, orange-brown, and red -- and have gotten some great color combinations. This gloss is a keeper, for sure!
I tested the clear gloss (#12) and my favorite thing about it is: lumene lip gloss is not too sticky!! I don’t like when a lip gloss is the consistency of honey - if it is I will blot it so I don’t have the feeling I am walking around with wet paint attracting dust and in danger of smearing. I am glad I got the clear version to test since it’s great to wear lip gloss alone or mix it with a lip pencil or lipstick. The smell isn’t too hideously fake, but it’s not my first choice for a makeup scent... Completely honestly, this is one of the nicer glosses to come along lately, but I wouldn’t buy it...maybe the smell does bug me to much to love it...
I was fortunate enough to receive three shades of this lipgloss! I received the deep red/pink shade (pictured above) as well as a light brown shade and a light pink shade. With my pale skin and dark hair, my favorite of the bunch was definitely the deep red. It goes on the lips much lighter than it does in the tube, and the deep red is prefect for a subtle lip color with lots of shine. The light pink and light brown shades are much too light for me on their own, but look well paired with a darker liner all over the lips. The scent of the gloss doesn't thrill me (it smells like berries) but I do like the color. I recommend.
I'm glad the lip gloss is good! I have tried some of the lipsticks, and they gave me an awful bitter taste in my mouth. I thought I was mysteriously and strangely ill until I figured it out. Goodness, that was horrible. *shudder*
I'm not really a lip gloss user so this is not an expert opinion. I received the Lumene Berry Fun gloss in Never Ending Love shade. I really liked the realistic rasberry scent, so I thought, why not give it a try. This lip gloss doesn't sit withmy makeup in the house it travels with me. I can't belive how much I like the shinygloss. It smells really good when you apply it and gives your whole face a glow. I will definietly purchase this product when it runs out; I'm curious to see some of the other shades.
This is my new DATE lipgloss. The light pink "it's only love" shade is the innocent girl look gone just luscious enough. It's also the kind of texture that makes you want to keep rubbing your lips together (maybe not a good idea on a date???) and stay on through a glass or two of wine....
I tried #2 (A Rose for You) and #15 (Perfect Future). I love the scent. I adore the small size. It doesn't feel gooey on my lips and seems to stay on as well as any other lipgloss I own. I will purchase more of this when mine runs out.
I really, really like this gloss! It stays put for a long time on me, and is very glossy. The color was a bit too red/pink for my skin tone, but I would love to try it in another shade! If I just use a little bit mixed with one of my lighter shades of gloss then I like the color better on me.But, coming from a gloss-a-holic, I give this a BIG thums up! My friend has it in a light pink/brown shade that I am dyingto try, so maybe I will get that one.
I give this lip gloss an A+ I love the color a light shade of red. I also love how glossy it is! The scent reminds me of raspberry popsicles. Yummy!
Don't let the color in the tube fool you. Meg talked me into trying #4. In the tube it looks like a dark raspberry color. Well, on it's a lovely shade not dark at all. I've been using it over my L’Oreal stay on all day lipstick #555 and it adds just the perfect shine. I too have it at my desk and it’s handy to have for those quick touch ups. You definitely need a lip liner, but then you do with most glosses. This one is a keeper!!
I am the lip gloss freak. This gloss is short on plumpness and flavor. As soon as you put it on it dries up. There is not much long wear with this gloss.
I tested the clear version of Lumene BerryFun and really liked it. It felt nice and smooth going on and had just the right amount of shine. I actually have my tube at my desk at work and use it often during the day for touchups, as I would if I were wearing "real" lipstick. Since I work at a school I don't like to look very made-up during the day, and this is just enough. The tube is a nice, small size and easy to carry around. And although I usually don't like berry kinds of scents, for some reason I really like this one a lot. I'm going to try some of the other colors as well.
At first I thought is was going to be way too red. Then I put it on are loved it. The color was transparent enough that it added pizzazz to my natural lip color. It is something to wear during the day or at night. Ithought it stayed on as good as any other and was packaged well.
I got the clear gloss and the #8 (I'll Follow You.) I LOVE this!!!! The #8 (PowderPuffnStuff described it as a bronze/mocha shimmer)is amazing- it makes my lip look the perfect now-red-carpet look of that natural peachy-pink with just the right amount of gloss. These glosses smell like yummy raspberries and are uber-moisturizing (bonus!) The clear is perfect on it's own or on top of any lipstick- looooove this!!!
I'm a glosser from way back for sure. I tried No. 10 (straight up red) and No. 9. (soft pink). I liked both the colors. I Love the yummy scent. I didn't stay on too long but I don't find that anything does really. They're so nice and small though, zip a little on, throw it back in your bag and whip a little more on later. Or, keep iton your desk at work. It's not messy so you can pop some on without a mirror while you're on the phone, before you dash upstairs for a meeting with the cute boss or even while you're gabbing with a pal.
I'm a big lip gloss user, so I was excited to try 2 shades of the Lumene lip gloss: #4 Love So Sweet (a dark reddish color) and #6 It's Only Love (a frosty pink shade). Both went on much lighter than they appear in the tube. Love so Sweet became a sheer berry pink and It's Only Love looked almost like a clear super-shiny gloss. The berry smells is fun and almost reminds me of Bonne Bell in scent (no flavor here). While the colors are nice, this gloss had relatively low staying power, meaning I had to reapply often. I think I'll stick with my Goldie lip gloss.
I use every lip gloss out there and this one has made it into my purse at all times. I like the color...it's not too sticky...and it's the PERFECT size to carry around.Kudos to berry lipgloss!
I received Love So Sweet #4 which is a beautiful raspberry/berry-ish color. I really like this gloss because (I've said this so many times before!) I don't like thick, gooey gloss that I end up licking off. This gloss goes on nice and smooth, not thick, not overly sprarkley, justa nice even gloss that is easy to apply, not messy at all. The smell is fun - it brings me back to a younger time!
I tried the Never Ending Love #13 color which is a pale pink color and it went on so smoothly and was long lasting. For my skin tone, which is darker, it looked liked I did not have lip color on, just a hint of gloss. So, for me this color is good when running to the grocery store and when you just need a dash of shine. I would definitely like to try in a darker hue which would be more suitable for an evening look.
I really like the smell of the gloss and it taste pretty good too. I don't eat my gloss but... sometimes you can't help but to taste test. LOL... I do like the feel of it too, not sticky at all. Very nice. I would buy this again.
I have had many different shades of Lumene's Berryfun lipgloss, at the moment I only have a red shade called Forever Love. It's a very nice true red gloss with tiny bits of red glitter in it. Lumene's lipglosses feel good on my lips and I think they are a handy size to carry around in your purse too.
