Skin Effects Purifying Effects Enzyme Scrub!

The wonderful PR reps for DR. Jeffrey Dover's Skin Effects sent us out "Purifying Effects" Deep-Cleaning Enzyme Scrub for All Skin Types. I have never seen so many Doctors on a daily basis in my entire life and I have broken some serious bones in my day. Lately, I am terminal. I see Dr. Brandt, Dr. Hauschka and now every morning, Dr. Dover. Thought you wanted to marry a Doctor for the financial stability and benefits? No dear. That is so 1980's, now you want to marry a Doctor with the hopes he has an affinity for face cream. I blame Clinique, you know, sounds like "clinic" sounds like "doctor" dress your salespeople in white lab coats and you (you meaning me, and maybe you) think their on to some new, secret "cure". Ahh, the trickery.

Is an MD background now the only tool that will sell you a potion for your face? Is this smart or just marketing mumbo-jumbo?
This Skin Effects Scrub promises"..healthy, younger-looking, more beautiful skin".

Ladies please post if your doctor made a shower house-call or if we should be suing for malpractice...

I have picky picky skin and have tried everything! So far in using this product I'm pretty pleased. I'll have to be honest, as long as it doesn't smell bad or leave funky coloring on my skin I don't really care about color or smell. What matters to me most is how my skin looks and feels after using it and so far so good! My skin is softer and looks clearer from using this product and my skin needs exfoliation daily so I'm excited about something I can use every day with small crystals that isn't abrasive.

This is the kind of scrub I like! Starting impressions: the scent is nice... very light and reminds me of cucumbers. The granules are smooth, which exfoliate without scratching. I left this on while I conditioned my hair and noticed a reduction in pore size. Gentle enough to use every day. The only question in my mind is, "where can I buy this when I run out?"

The first thing I did before I started posting was click the little box yes that I would recommend this! The granules in this scrub are fine therefore you don’t have that sandpaper feeling when rubbing in on your skin. After rinsing it off my face was soft and didn’t have any red to it. This is a great scrub for someone with sensitive skin!!

This is a nice, refreshing face scrub. The grains are not too harsh and not too wimpy, they are, as Goldie Locks would say "Just Right!!". It has a pleasant fruity smell and the price is super low.

Unfortunately, I have extremely sensitive skin on my face... I tried Skin Effects Enzyme Scrub, and I was red for days... I would not recommend this product with anyone with sensitive skin!

I love scrubs and especially this one...it's lighter than most scrubs and i like the that the texture is smooth.The crystals are smaller than most scrubs so it is less abrasive on my skin.I love how this scrub leaves my skin moisturized and looking fresh. Great scent too!

I usually avoid any kind of scrub on my face because my skin is sensitive and they always seem to harsh. Needless to say I was skeptical to try this. Hallelujah! I facial scrub I can use! I LOVE it! It gentle on my skin leaving it feeling soft and younger. I like to bring in the shower and let it sit on my face for about a few minutes. It feels like a mini facial. This is one of my all time favorite new products I've discovered from being a Meg's tester. Thank you Meg and thank you Dr!

I love Skin Effects!! I recently tried the Enzyme Scrub and it is great- more pores were visibly smaller, my skin did not feel dried out like when I've used other scrubs. One of my firends even commented that my skin looked fresh and demanded I tell her what my secret was. Not only did it make my skin look great, but it's cheap!!! I would also strongly recommend trying the Skin Effects Advanced Brightening Complex, it gives your skin a smooth, healthy look, and makeup goes on really nicely on top of it. Enjoy!

I first had to pry myself away from my CityFace, which admittedly took a day or two. After trying this cleanser/scrub,I was totally blown away. This scrub left my combination so soft, clean, smooth -- not tight and dry like other scrubsthat I've tried. The moisturizing capabilities of this product make it stand above the rest! I will definitely buy some more when I run out - I am becoming a scrub junkie!

Like some of the other gals, I am crazy about the city face scrub (it may be my favorite thing I’ve tested so far), but that is not to say the skin effects purifying effects enzyme scrub fell flat! Skin Effects scrub feels great on, it didn’t burn or sting during the 5 minutes it is left on, and after I removed it my face was evenly toned, glowing and pores visibly smaller. If only my pores were that small 24/7!!! In pursuit of gorgeous, glowing skin I, like powderpuffnstuff, will continue to pepper my routine with both skin effects enzyme scrub and the city face scrub - after all, I was impressed by both!

I love Skin Effects!! This product made my skin look fresh and healthy. One of my friends even noticed and asked what I had done differently the day I first tried it. I've been hooked ever since. I am a face scrub finatic. I love trying different scrubs and sometimes sometimes they work and sometimes they don't . But I have to say that I really like the Skin Effects Enzyme Scrub. It left my face looking poreless and smooth. The first time I tried it I don't leave it on for five minutes, as suggested by the directions and did not notice much of a difference in my appearance. I tried it a second time and left on for 5 minutes in the shower and noticed a big difference. My face was a lot smoother. I also liked the non-abrasive feel of this scrub. It barely feels like a scrub, but it works and I like it.

The first thing I was attracted to was the color of the scrub - its a nice shade of minty green/light blue. I felt clean just looking at it!Then I tried it and its great! Its not harsh like other scrubs I've used and lathers up nicely. Has a nice light clean smell, not overwhelmingat all. Best of all, I have noticed that my skin looks really good. It looks really smooth and I've actually gotten comments this week saying that I look nice, but people can't pinpoint why. I hope its the scrub! Highly recommend it!

I tried Skin Effects Enzyme Scrub not thinking much of it. I have tried so many face scrubs in the past, there doesn't ever seem tobe a big difference between them. I followed the directions and was extremely happy with the results. The best thing about this product is it actually does minimize the size of your pores (that doesn't happen for real very often). It makes your skin feel good afterward, no drying out. The scrub is not to rough on your skin and it doesn't have a strong scent ( I didn't realize one at all).I put it on the shower and let it sit on while I condition my hair. This Enzyme Scrub is an excellent product. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to improve the appearance of their skin.

Purifying Effects is a good,basic product that does what it promises to do: promotes clean, healthy looking skin. It is creamy and pleasant to use, (although a bit of fragrance would be nice)and just gritty enough to clean your skin but not so much that you feel like your whole face is going to be rubbed off. I like to rinse if off in the shower. One interesting side-effect is that it brought some blackheads to the surface that I wasn't aware of before (and cleaned them away as well) so I guess it really does clean deeply. Purifying Effects could easily become a staple in your skin cleansing routine, and I recommend it highly!

Today I used the scrub for the first time. On the directions it says you can either rub it onto your face in a circular motion and rinse. For a deep clean you can leave it on for 5 minutes and then remove it with a face cloth. I deceided to do the first one since I have sensitive skin. I used a small amount and today my face felt clean and soft. Another scrub I was using often left my face feeling dry. I will continue using this product.

yup, it's true...it's clean but gentle. My skin is pretty sensitive so I use it in the shower where it's a little steamier and my skin was pretty glowy without any dryness. Another doctor I should have married.

This scrub is fabulous- just like all of the other reviewers have said- it exfoliates with out the irritation (and boy does my sking get irritated easily!) The Skin Effects "Purifying Effects" leaves my skin super-glowing and squeaky clean- this is an amazing product!! My skin gets really dry whenever I apply acne creams, causing my t-zone to peel; this scrub takes care of all of that gross peeling-sking, and leaves me with a smooth, even surface, totally ready for make-up application!
