GO SMILE ADVANCED TOOTH WHITENING SYSTEM!!!

Mon, 02/06/2006 - 6:47pm
  • Face
  • Miscellaneous

I have really lovely teeth. After years of braces (age 10-13) and having numerous teeth yanked I really can't complain. They're nice, they're straight, they're the color of corn on the cob. Yum.
I wanted to look nice on my wedding day. I paid $500 and spent an hour sitting with the most uncomfortable tray in my mouth at one of those teeth whitening clinics while some sort of laser beamed at my teeth for an hour. Atleast it included the drool suction tube.
Very expensive, very uncomfortable but worked very well. I have since resumed my cigg, coffee, red wine habit and can add "very temporary" to the last sentence.
When the excellent PR Goddess repping "GO SMILE" sent this handy dandy box I was very impressed. Any Questions on the product? Well, they sent an informative DVD to clearly illustrate how the product is used. Package-wise they thought of it all. Even comes with a tooth-color chart and precise amounts divided into daily tubes. Brilliant!!!
Here's what the creator,
J o n a t h a n B. L e v i n e, D M D promises...
"GoSMILE ADVANCED formula B1 - Tooth Whitening On The Go is clinically proven to whiten your smile up to 10 shades in just 7 days. No fuss. No mess. No gel. No strips. No trays. No pain! Ladies, are you left with pearly-whites? Please post your findings!!

I haven't tried Go Smile, and frankly it sounds like it won't work. I have veneers on my top teeth. And my bottom teeth are yellow, but they have always been discolored, I've never had white teeth, thats why I got veneers. But I've had my veneers for about 20 years. I want to get a whole new set upper & lowers, but I hear it will cost $20K. I was always told when I was a kid I took a lot of penicillin and it turns your teeth. Are their others that have veneers that they have worked on? Mine were never movie star white, which ticks me off, they didn't give me whiter veneers to begin with, but I was young and naive. Look at the hydrogen peroxide content of toothpaste the higher the better, Topol has the highest, I've found. Which by the way you can you use straight Hydrogen Peroxide on your teeth, I heard it works, but doesn't taste very good.

I'm crazy about these little babies! I've had my teeth professional whitened but I'm always obsessing about some kind of a refresh. I've tried Crest Whitestrips and a bunch of drugstore whitening stuff and not only do I not see a difference but 9/10ths of the package ends up sitting in my medicine cabinet never to be used. With Go smile, I through a few of them in my bag and on those times when I'm about to meet someone or feel a little yellow in the tooth, I whip one out in the car and spruce up. And I see a slight difference. So there.

I received several samples of these from Sephora and OMG, Go Smile rocks! I used ONE vial in preparation for being in my sister's wedding and my teeth were CRAZY white. My little sister, a smoker and coffee drinker, was LIVID that I didn't bring a spare vial for her. She used Crest White Strips. She had grey teeth and couldn't drink anything sweet, hot, cold, etc. due to extreme sensitivity. I used ONE vial of the Go Smile solution and had absolutely no sensitivity, great lightening results, and my teeth felt beyond clean. I love this stuff.

I made sure that I would read a lot of reviews before i purchased this product, which i did and a lot of people liked it. Well I bought it and used it. Not happy. My teeth aren't that yellow they are already pretty white and I didn't see any difference. So I wouldn't recommend this product for someone who already has white teeth and justneed a them a little bit more whiter.

I drink lots of coffee and tea and my teeth definitely need whitening! I've tried several different whitening products...rubber mold with various tubes of bleach (worked well but was messy and uncomfortable): whitening strips (didn't work at all); whitening toothpaste (still trying!) Go Smile is by far the easiest and friendliest to use. One of my front teeth is a bit yellower than the other and what I am doing is whitening only that tooth at first so it will match the other one and then I will go for the whole smile. It's nice to be able to have control over where the whitener is applied, and so far I am seeing subtle, but visible, results.

I admit I procrastinated a bit in trying the Go Smile Whitening System. I haven't had a lot of success in using at home whitening kits. I never saw any results and they could be a little akward to use. I hate the ones with mouth guards and the strips never adhere well to my teeth - blah. Go Smile is so much easier! I love the tiny little bush you use to rub the clear, minty gel over your teeth - you can get into all the nooks and crannies the strips barely touch. Then it's just a twenty minute wait until you can get back to your oral fixation of choice! I threw a couple in my desk drawer at work and whiten during the after lunch lull. Very convernient!!Since I am both a smoker and coffe drinker, I'm hoping for some nice results. A few days in and I'm already seeing whiter teeth - awesome! I'll update with reports of my sparkling smile when I complete my package.

I really believe in the Go-Smile System. I've seen it work - even on myself! You really have to understand the system and the way it works though. The B1 Ampoules are a 6% Hydrogen Peroxide Solution. It's a fresh solution that is mixed when you break the little tube because Hydrogen Peroxide has a short half-life when exposed to light. Thats why it comes in a brown bottle! You're supposed to use 2 B1 ampoules per day for 7-10 days as the active cycle of your treatment. You are supposed to repeat this treatment phase of the whitening every 4-6 months with the B1 ampoules. The DAILY ampoules are a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution that can be used as maintenance once or twice a day between your active treatment cycles. Remember teeth that took years to yellow wont be whiter after only a week, it takes a little patience but it is SO worth it!I have veneers on the top and they didnt quite match my yellow-er natural teeth on the bottom but GoSmile got them pretty close to even!

I, too, have mixed reviews. While I don't smoke, I do indulge in diet coke, which apparently isn't so great for keeping teeth on the brighter side. So when Go Smile arrived at my doorstep, I was thrilled. The good: From a usability standpoint, this can't be beat. It's very easy, not messy and travels well. It also doesn't make my teeth feel sensitive, which some other products have. The taste isn't as strong as other products, which is good... chemical taste isn't my thing! The letdown: Unfortunately, I didn't really notice a difference. My tooth color is probably middle of the road... not sparkling, but not corn on the cob yellow either. When you consider that this system is on the higher end of "off the shelf" products, I had hoped for more.

My husband said he thought my teeth looked whiter. I did notice a little transparency right after doing it but it didn't seem to last. My teeth did feel cleaner and it was very easy to do. There was no bad taste and it didn't interefere with my daily schedule-so I didn't hesitate to do it. It didn't make my teeth sensitive. I was just hoping for a little more white.

This product is a complete waste of money! It claims to be "clinically proven to white teeth up to 10 shades in 7 days" is not true. It's a costly product but does NOT whiten your teeth as promised. You're better of going to a dentist to have it done professionally. Save your money, ladies.

I have never actually purchased the system, however, I did get to sample it after my recent trip to Sephora. I used the one ampule I was given, and later on I went to dinner with my parents and my dad commented on how white my teeth were! I had noticed a difference too, but didn't expect anyone else to notice after one use. My dad was so impressed, he wants some of his own! I have been saving Sephora gift cards I have received, and I am going to get the whole kit soon!

Wow, what a range of experiences we've all had with GoSmile. I am LOVING them! Great results, and no sensitivity (both were a problem with all the other OTC products I've tried.) If you are thinking about trying them and can get yourself to a Sephora store, ask for a free sample. If using it one time hurts and does absolutely nothing, then it's not for you. I also love the AM/PM toothpastes that came with the kit I purchased!

i just purchased the gosmile B1 pack. today was my first day using it. After one application i saw a big difference!! although my teeth aren't stained too much and not really a dark yellow,i just had a light tint but needed the color of my teeth spruced up for prom, so of course my results were fast. it was super easy and fun to put on with a great taste..unlike those nasty strips that give me killer sensitivity:[ I LOVE GO SMILE..worth every penny!if you have a darker shade of yellow staining on your teeth, of course gosmile might take more than 7 days to give you your desired results but it does work if you give it a chance!

Mixed reviews for me. I drink tea and red wine, so I know I could use whitening. The good: so easy to use, had no taste and did see results. The bad: didn't see the results I wanted to. The box says it will lighten your teeth 10 shades in a week. I don't think I needed 10 shades, but I think I need a little more white than I got. I did see a difference though. And I was happy to see this product featured in Sephora's new catalog.

I have tried the GoSmile and also have had my teeth professionally whitened at few years ago. I came to this conclusion: Only a Dentist can really get your teeth back to really white. The Go Smile maintenance things are great to carry around and use after guzzling a bottle of red wine, or as I do, after a cup of coffee. I carry some in my bag at all times. The maintenance ampoules cost about $7.50 per box, so they are pretty spendy, but as one of the other posts noted, you can see the recent stains melt away. They also freshen your breath! So my advice is if you want really white teeth, go to a dentist. If you have just a mild amount of staining, GoSmile might be the ticket. I like their toothpaste OK, but it is not really worth the money in my opinion. Who like lemonade-favored toothpaste anyway? There is morning & evening toothpaste and the personal who sold me the system at Spehora told me it is better since it has twice the fluoride of regular toothpaste. Is that a good thing?

I used the small system I bought at neimans and I saw a small difference. I like the small ampules that you can use on the go. Like in the ladies room when you have been drinkingred wine at dinner. I see the stains melt away. I drink my coffee through a straw, as I hate wearing those trays so much, but I want white teeth. I bought their go system toothpaste, and I have to say it makes a big difference. I would say use the toothpaste to maintain what the product does, or just to keep them white with whatever you use. The toothpasteworks! Try it and then go back and watch your old toothpaste do nothing as I did you willbe convinced!

Go Smile" packaging is great and very user friendly. I liked the applicator a lot because it allows you to rub the whole tooth and in between your teeth avoiding your gums. My teeth had a yellowish tint and the color is not uniform. This product cleaned up the appearance of my teeth making them a little whiter and brighter.I would use 'Go Smile' again as a maintenance program

But honestly, i'm not too sure if it worked. Normally, people comment on how white my teeth look, but after the process, i haven't had ONE person say anything. I think i would rather keep to my old process of Crest White stripes. Sorry

I am halfway through the 20 ampoules of B1 tooth whitener from GoSmile and see NO results. Several of my side teeth have a more yellow tint than my front teeth, so I have been concentrating the application on those teeth in the morning and evening as instructed, brushing my teeth first and then no eating for at least 20 minutes after applying the product. My conclusion is that this product does not work. The product contains Providone, Hydrogen Peroxide, Flavor and Alcohol. Providone is just a thickening agent for tooth whitening gels. So you guessed, it, Hydrogen Peroxide is the so-called whitening agent in this product. I agree with the other post. If you may as well buy some clear hydrogen peroxide and paint your teeth with it.

I had GREAT results from Go Smile! The results were actually SO immeadiate that when I went to shoot my headshots I put on a tube while I was having my make-up done so my teeth would sparke for my shots. I don't drink red wine, colas, or smoke tobacco products (I do however swear like a sailor), so maybe that was a factor in my results. I didn't experience any sensitivity or transparency. I highly reccomend this product and would buy it again.

I was not sent a sample of this product to try (Booooo), but I use it on my own, BECAUSE IT'S AMAXING!!!! i am very sensitive to teeth whiteners-- most will make my teeth ache all day, and the pain increases with hot or cold beverages. Go Smile is the only thing that does not hurt my sensitive teeth, and I swear I can see it work immediately. My Boyfriend even steals them from me now. I made the mistake of letting him try one. sigh. I guess I can't really complain though. It works so well that I don't even have to use it twice a day. (recommended dose). I save mine and stretch out a ten day supply over a month or so.This stuff Rocks!

This stuff does indeed rock!  No more sensitivity, no more mottling of my teeth, no more drooling and talking with a lisp for half an hour until your white strips practically slide off of your teeth from all of the pooling of spittle...Go white tastes minty fresh, and maybe I'm insane, but I SWEAR I can see it work within a few minutes.  After two days, I had the same results as with drugstore strips.  After 7 days, I had the most beautiful teeth in years...Back to my days before coffee, smoking, and wine...amazing!  I would also like to mention that I haven't used them for over a year, now, and everyone still comments on how nice my teeth are.  I've never had any cosmetic dentistry done, and who needs to?  With these amazing little vials, all of your oral vices simply disappear. At the price of about ninety bucks, it's so worth it.  If you can find it on ebay for cheaper, even better!

my rating is based upon meg's article not on the product - i hated go smile - it's expensive and i didn't notice ANY difference in the product but i did like the handy little vials - they were convenient.  i've used the travel toothpaste kit that i got as a gift just cuz it's handy but even the toothpastes in it (that's right, plural - a day and a night) are kinda dodgy.  i use a kit from my dentist with custom trays but i buy the bleach on ebay.  i've done it for so long that i can use the 35% and only have to do it once in a while which is good cuz it does make my teeth really sensitive but the dentist says whatever i'm doing works for me.  and after all i'm going for that ross gellar glow-in-the-dark smile thing so, ya know, ya gotta do what you gotta do.
