CITY LIPS LIP PLUMPING!!!

Why the heck are plump lips in? Why can't plump stomaches, bums or thighs be in style? I have some control over that! It would be so enjoyable to attain that look! Pass the beer and pie this way. no matter how much beer I drink or pie I eat, the lips stay thin. What kind of sick trip is this? The fat goes everywhere-except where desirable. I blame Team Jolie for this one.
As you age, the lips get thinner. Great. Another thing to look forward too.

When I first started hearing about lip plumpers, I, of course, ran out and purchased a varity of brands and colors. My upper lip has always been on the thin side and as I get older it ain't getting any bigger. I ended up using them only once or twice due to the burning factor. I don't mind a little stinging but some of these (I'm looking your way Lip Venom) are just too much. A few others just didn't make a difference at all.Happily, City Lights seems to have found the middle ground. There is a slight stinging sensation at first, but it went away in a few minutes. My lips had a nice, slightly swollen look to them and looked a darker pink than normal. The effect lasted about an hour and when I reapplied that eveing there was no stinging. I especially like the colors of this brand. I recieved Clear Treatment (clear gloss) and Sin City (a sheer peach with sparkles). The colors were subtle and flattering. I will be using this for nights out!
There was a slight stinging sensation when I applied this product and my natural lip color became more noticeable. I’d have to say on a scale of 1 to 10, I give this a 6.5. I’m convinced that the stinging sensation was my lips getting plumper by the minute and the change in color was attributed to blood rushing to my lips (thus making them plumper). I didn’t put this on at night so the effect might be better if I did. I’m going to keep using it. I know it makes a difference (if only to me).
I am always trying to make my lips look a little plumper then they were made, so I was very excited to try this product. At first when I put it on I asked my husband if my lips looked plumper, and he said "I think they do, a little", and sure enough when I looked in the mirror they did. I did notice a little burning sensation, but after a few minutes it went away. And the next few times I used it the burning was not as bad. I did feel like my lips were more sexy and I will be using this again especially as I get older and lose my top lip :)
I had the clear version... I wasn't really a fan of the burning sensation. My lips did turn a darker pink, but in the end, it just seemed like a super shiny gloss. I have to agree with desertdoll... my nighttime routine has enough steps already, so I don't see myself adding this into the mix.
I wasn't quite prepared for my lips to start burning, it didn't really hurt, I just wasn't expecting it. I didn't see a difference. My lips stayed red for a short time and then seemed to be the usual. There's no info on the tube. Maybe you have to use it for awhile?
This is a really versatile and glamorous spray! I really like Meg's cocktail tip - sexy, shimmery cleavage here I come! Like the other gals I can see myself sipping wine on a balmy summer night and looking lush in this spray! In warm weather, I will make this spray my weapon of choice to achieve that laid-back glamour I thought only Brazilians had...
Seeing as most of these "lip plumpers" make me break out into hives all around my mouth, (NOT my desired effect, thank you!) this one is nice and mild! It is a magnificent moisturizer, great gloss, and gives my lips a cute little pout while enhancing their color. Fabulous for when I'm in a rush and don't have time for a multiple step lip application!
I think this looks nice under your lipstick. It has a nice fruit taste. I wish it came in a bigger tube. It is pretty small.
I never thought that I would like a gold lip plumping lip gloss, especially after trying lip venom (my husband said I smelled like medicine). But I had received a sample of BAREcelona (gold) City Lips and I LOVE it. The first time I used it it felt funny, but subsequent uses I really like how it feels. It's not too gloopy, and it darkened my lips. I'm not sure if they are a lot plumper, but I don't have super skinny lips. The combination of the gold gloss on top of my pinker lips turns out really well. I have since bought several regular size tubes in that color. I have a few other samples in other colors, but the BAREcelona is my favorite!
I received this product and was excited about the possibility of making my lips "plumper". After a few days of use, I didn't see any difference in the plumpness. I could feel my lips tingling after applying it, so it felt like something was happening. I will keep using it and maybe I'll see a difference after a couple of weeks of use.
Well, we're back to GaGoo, with those bloody inherited lines around my lips. I was so thrilled to receive my lip plumper in the mail. Tore the box open, ran to the mirror, applied and waited.... It doesn't burn compared to some plumper I've tried, which is nice. But I didn't see the much difference. I have the tube at work and continue to use it as I like the shine it gives my lips. Maybe in time I'll see a difference
I have not had that much time to try the lip plumper. I felt some kind of sensation on my lips so they kind of felt plumper but I'm usure if they really appeared more full. I will give the product more time
Now, I got a tube in the "Tinsel Town" shade - a super light pink with glittery stuff. I am not a big fan of glittery stuff - but this is nice, it did not look like glitter at all, only shinny. As for the pump-itude? Why yes, my lips actually feel bigger when wearing this - and not in a stinging unnatural way either, more in an "I have been making out with a hottie" kind of warm-ish bigger!! My lips are sort-of full as it is, so I really don't "need" this plumper; instead I will give it to my best friend who has been literally "burned" by some other plumpers on the market....I think she will be quite pleased and her lips soft and pouty with this plumper - it works.P.S. I also like the brush wand.
Shizaam! I felt like Angelina Jolie with this stuff on. It was awesome and somehow really works (what's in this stuff?). I have never used this kind of product and honestly have pretty great lips as it is, so I wouldn't normally purchase this - but let me tell ya, after using this - I just might buy it!
My sister said I looked like a porn-star, so I guess ithis plumper worked! It kind of hurt my lips a bit, though. Like I could feel fiberglass being injected into them. If the porn effect is what you are going for, GO FOR IT! Kind of fun for a flirty night on the town!
I am a lip plumping freak! I've tried almost all the plumping products out there. I love my lip plumpers, they are like my babies. I can't bear to leave the house without ALL of them with me (which has resulted in many hours logged in at the chiropractor. A purse weighed down with 20 or so lip glosses is murder on the back!)OK, City Lips....Here are the positive points:1. Great texture, not goopy, smooth and silky.2. made my lips pinker, in a natural way (I got very sheer colors sent to me)3. I did get some plumping effects. About a 6 on the plumping scale. Here are the not-so-positive points:1. My lips got really chapped after I used the gloss. I think this will be more suited to the warmer months. I live in NY and the winter is a time to pamper my lips with ultra-moiturizing products.2. It smelled kind of chemical-ish.3.The consistancy was so silky soft that it seemed to wear off my lips very fast.
I'm not sure that my lips are any plumper but City Lips left me with soft, moist lips that look nice without any other lipstick on top. It's very smooth sliding on and fun to use. However, my 22 year-old-daughter spied it on the counter, put some on, LOVED it, and wanted to know right away where she could get some. She has beautiful lips to begin with but this really did enhance them and she looked great!!! So.. thumbs up from me and arms waving in the air from her!!!
I've tried another lip plumper (one that's got a lot of press) and that one really burned my lips! I found City Lips much milder and hardly noticed any burning at all in comparison. I like to wear it in place of lip gloss. I like the way it made my lips look, however I wish the consistency was a little thicker so it would last longer.
Alright girls...i wouldn't say that you'll be looking like Angelina Jolie by using this....but it does give you a moisture looking fuller lip. Also, the stuff makes my lips have a burning tingling sensation.Would i use it again? Mabey...but the truth is...is that I'd rather use it as a cool lip gloss.
I wanted to believe so badly that my lips looked plumper and maybe they did, but my husband or colleagues couldn't see a difference. It also burned my lips when I put it on and with the cold weather here, I'm constantly fighting burning chapped lips! I'm still using it with the hopes of there really being a difference, but I'm not sure.
This product does what is intended to do. It stings a little with application, but gosh, for enhanced beauty - a little bit of pain - no problem.
I'm with Beautyzilla, I love lip plumpers! My upper lip is all but gone, especially when I smile. My ass? Not going anywhere! But my lip seems to have other places to be. I found this to very mild on the tingle factor that comes with all plumpers. Really, if you find this to be too tingly stay away from Lip Venom (which I had to wipe off the first time I tried it, but now I live for the burn!) The plumping effect was also pretty mild. I did notice some enlargement but I want more. I think this is a good introduction to plumpers but if like your lips as hot as possible (looking and feeling) you may want a stronger brand. Though I believe the difference with this plumper is that it builds on itself, meaning if you use it at night continously, you'll start to see effects even when your not using it. This sets it apart from other brands. But me? I've already got too many things to do before bed.
This product was actually the first I had heard of a lip plumper. What a concept! I put it on - and I don't think that it really made my lips look more "plump", but it definitely made them look darker and more red (the color I received was very sheer). I asked around about this product, and was told that other plumping products like this tend to burn the lips - but City Lips Lip Plumping did not burn mine. It was fun to try - but I'll probably stick to the regular lipstick and would not buy this product simply just to stay away from putting mysterious plumping chemicals on my lips.
I already have plump lips but I do have to say.... I did notice an improvement in my upper lip with this
I've tried a plumping gloss once when i worked in department store, there were no customers so us girls were just messing around. My lips are decent size already, the plump gloss gave my lips a nice cooling effect but it didn't seem do any plumping (thank god, otherwise i'd have ridiculously big lips)

i didnt really see a difference with this, it acted more like a lipgloss than a plumper
I tried the clear version of this. It was a nice gloss, but that's all. I didn't notice any plumping effects at all. I used the whole bottle and there was no change in my lips at all.

In my quest to find a lip plumper I tried this. It was okay in the gloss area, but the burning I can definitely do without. I found the one that worked best for me was...LipFusion.
Oh this looks great. I love lip plumpers (try DuWop brand)
i love lip plumpers!
Holland RayeLee Davida McCafferty
I have allways wanted lip plumpers!
"Why the heck are plump lips in? Why can't plump stomaches, bums or thighs be in style?" AMEN!
i would love bigger lips as well but im scared about getting injections that might make me look horrible like some ladies in Hollywood. maybe this is a better way. i hope this will work for me when ever i need it =)
My local sephora has this brand but never tried it, I used Dior lipgloss for lip plumping, when it's over I might buy this one!

I rather enjoy the lip tingling sensations =)
Thank you for the review!
thanx for the review ...i heart plumpers
Lip plumpings products make my lips itch and swell like crazy!
http://gabsybeautyblog.blogspot.com
I bought the fushia one.It did tingle a bit (nothing compared to too faced extreme lip injection) but it dried my lips. The plumping effect was minimum and lasted for about an hour. It's a good gloss but just that.
Lip plumpers sometimes make my lips look weird.
I have never tried a plumping gloss that actually works!
i love this
Yea plumping lips are in...
I have tried over 12 different lip plumpers and I hope this one can do it..LOL I agree why can't it be a different body part. I have thin lips and that will not change..LOL
lip plumpers always look reaaally stupid on me. i don't know, i guess i like the look of bigger eyes anyway. this seems like an interesting product though.
I dislike lip plumpers on myself and others!
haha Meg! You are so funny! I really like lip plumpers because I have THEE thinnest lips ever! I mean, they are like two dashes = lol. I just cant stand the tingly itchy feeling of them
